Testing [OPEN TO EVERYONE IN THE AREA, no killing]

A frown crosses young Kami's face as he is consumed by boredom and exhaustion. It is now nine o'clock, and still not a single person has shown up. As the light begins to fade completely, Kami scans the area with trained eyes to find a solution to this problem. In a tiny sliver of moonlight he spots a dry vine about five meters long wrapped around the trunk of a tall and slender tree. He quickly leaps over his obstacle and goes to grab the vine, tearing it from the trunk with his right hand. As he does this, his left hand grabs hold of a two meter long tree limb and snaps it off of the main body. Still jumping at the right time, Kami returns to his previous location and sits back down. He wraps the dry and flammable vine around the top of the tree limb, coiling it into a ball that is four inches in diameter. Holding the stick with the ball of vine at the top above his head with his left hand as his right hand forms half of the tiger hand seal, a cone of flames spews from his mouth to ignite the vine, yet it only makes contact with the vine and nothing else. This lights the ball of vine on the top of the stick on fire to create a makeshift torch. Kami supposes that it will take awhile for the weak flames to burn away the vine completely and consume the stick. He stabs the bottom of his torch into the ground five inches to the right of him to provide proper lighting. A bright fiery light is cast for four meters around the torch, while a warm glow still emanates for another four, yet anything beyond that is pitch black by now. Once again, Kami yodels, hoping to attract the attention of someone silly enough to fight him.

{Someone...anyone???}

Omoi was walking, when he had heard the sound of what seemed to be the broken cry of a wounded animal.. Taishou had heard it to, and it replied with a caw. He walked slowly, surely if there was a wounded animal then something would have had to have wounded it, a predator of some sort perhaps. He continued to walk, soon noticing someone...



Omoi was out due to the fact that he was taking a simple walk with his pet, or otherwise known as his familiar, Taishou. His father had gotten it for Omoi, for him to use to help him with his Yamanaka jutsu training. It was easier to move at night time, far more easy, due to the streets being less crowded. It also looked better in terms of beauty. He preferred the area around the Volcano in the time of night rather than the light of day.



He was wearing somewhat dark clothing. He was wearing a dark, sleeve-less shirt. However, his gloves made up for what his shirt lacked, the warmth on his arm of a sleeve. His gloves were quite long, and had a sleeve which separated from his short. It stopped around his forearm. He was also wearing dark, black pants which closely resembled jeans. He wasn't wearing shoes. Why? He simply liked the feel of grass as he walked upon it.



He continued to look at the boy, who held a torch. "Oi!" He shouted, as he was mainly pissed out how bad this child's singing was, and how it didn't lead to an opportunity to test himself against a predator. He, unknowingly, had stopped a mere few feet from one of the trap's the boy had apparently created, and it was the closest to him. From this position, Omoi was behind the child.

What was that awful noise? Ranma was in his home getting ready for bed while his window was open in an attempt to catch midsummer night breeze. He was dressed in only a t-shirt and pajama pants until his curiosity seized hold of him, urging him to investigate the noise of the unusual sound that came from the general direction of Volcano's immense volcano system. Ranma changed into a navy-blue short sleeved t-shirt and black pants with sandals. Before he exited his apartment he grabbed a flashlight in case it became too dark and stored it in his pocket.

Funkagakure's night air was unusually refreshing compared to the heat of the day that Ranma was used to. As he made his way to the forest that covered the base of the volcano, the loud sound that first stirred Ranma from his normal routine came again giving away the location of the creature that must be in pain or dying as Ranma assumed. He climbed a tree and jumped from branch to branch hidden by the leaves he came to a clearing.

The observer noticed there were two boys,one younger and one older. He saw the younger one jump for some reason into a spot and the older one interestingly enough had a hawk at his side. The male with a hawk greeted the child who was sitting with what appeared to be a makeshift torch at his side with an "Oi!"

Ranma decided that the figures were not that dangerous so he climbed down being about a meter from the elder boy who was a few meters from the kid. Was it the kid who made the obnoxious noise that could be described as some kind of yodeling?

"Hello friends, are you two investigating the yodeling as well?" Ranma tried to be pleasant to these new acquaintances, but he was stilled concerned by the noise. Being this close to the older he also noticed that he did not sport any footwear of some sort, a dangerous choice being in a forest that was probably filled with bugs and other hindrances that might hurt his foot bottom.

Omoi began to fall into a trap. Hostility? Supposedly. However, this amateur trap was nothing. A simple academy styled technique could be used to escape from even the slightest bit of damage. He grinned, and began to perform hand seals. He silently vanished, replacing himself with a log. It wouldn't be known, however. He, when he began to fall, let a tiny bit of surprise show upon his face. Perhaps the boy falling behind the log he had just substituted would get lucky, too. However unless he knew the technique he was probably screwed over.



He heard the boy beginning to say that he was better than the two who had fell into the trap, this included Omoi. "Hmm. Not really." he said. He was far from other traps, quite a few meters away from any trap.
