Healthy training in the home

Health Training
Maku had no trepidations as to that, he was a bit of a wimp. Sure he had a high pain threshold as far as working through the pain, however he knew his body wouldn’t be able to take a lot of punishment. To circumvent this, Maku set out to fix his little problem. Awaking, he went and grabbed a mirror from his parents house, which he was still living in alone and set it up in an open room. Looking into the mirror Maku looked at his own reflection. He looked older due to the transformation technique, but Maku allowed it to dissipate. Looking at his true self he pulled out his harmonica. Playing a few notes that didn’t mean anything he was happy to hear a good tune.
After a breath, he played again, but this time he unleashed two genjutsu at once. First it was the temple of nirvana skill, to put him to sleep, but before he succumbed he also cast his devouring swarm jutsu to affect his own dreams. When he opened his eyes he knew it had worked. The combination of jutsu had placed him in a truly terrifying world. The ground moved with insects and vermin, and above him biting flies and hornets buzzed. Maku was almost instantly consumed. The gnawing, biting, and stinging were almost too much to bear. The pain was immense, his skin sloughed off in places from the poisons and the bites. Pain, pain, and more pain was all he got. This seemed to go on for a lifetime, but after so long his eyes snapped open. Looking at himself in the mirror, Maku took a moment to stop hyperventilating from the pain. Using his own reflection to calm himself and prove that there was no injuries. The mirror helped as he thought it would.
Breathing in deep, Maku started the duel skill again. This time he stayed in the terrifying world for a little longer. The pain to his body though not real, was mentally real. With this technique, he could build up his bodies’ immunity to pain without having to go to the hospital to fix any of the injuries that might occur. The third time that he awoke from the technique he had to take a rest. The injuries weren’t real but his mind was exhausted from thinking about the pain, plus the chakra usage was intense as well. The nirvana temple was a new skill and one that he wasn’t completely familiar with. He truly had taken a risk using it, for if he used too much power he might make him asleep for a really long time.
Once his rest was completed he used the combination skill again, only this time he added in the chains technique to restrain himself while he was asleep. This kept him from fighting off any of the insects subconsciously, and increasing the punishment he had to take. It was rough going, and Maku was only able to endure this combo twice, before he had to call it quits. Going out for a short stroll on the town Maku was satisfied with his day of training, and was inclined to repeat it the next day.
And that’s exactly what he did. Punishing his body over and over, he truly felt himself dare he say it, getting tougher. For three days in a row he submitted himself to this kind of torture. It was not fun and made getting out of bed harder in the morning, but it was more than necessary in the life of a shinobi. Pain and injury was a normal thing, and something that could not only be anticipated, but acknowledged as inevitable. So better to take the pain of one’s own skills, than the knife of another ninja.
As he thought it would his body did look a little tougher after a couple days. His genjutsu was getting pretty good, even if it wasn’t real, by making the brain believe it was so convincingly than it might as well of actually happened. Though he knew he was still rather weak, he had come a long way as to where he was when he started 3 days before. Maku was ready to give the training one last go until he moved on to other skills. It had taken great restraint to not give up on his physical training and move on to chakra control training. Once again he had the mirror set up and activated his customized training method. This time the jutsu was so strong that he was left in this infested world for a full 18 hours, which felt like days inside the painful universe of his creation. After awakening form this nightmare, it took a while to shake the pain, and that was his queue to be done for a little while. After all there had to be something a bit less painful to train next.
