Training in the Jungle [Open, NK] - Page 2 Empty Re: Training in the Jungle [Open, NK]

"Tch," the boy was proving to be a minor disappointment seeing as he could only dodge his attacks from a small perspective. Rikuzashi had honestly expected more from him especially with a sword on his back. The barrage of arrows would slowly stop as Rikuzashi jumped to another branch and watched the boy retrieve the knife that had belonged to Riku which made him even more upset about the situation. Not sweating the small stuff he would continue to watch as the boy retreated to the pond after probably seeing that he was outmatched. The tactic of retreating to the water was a good idea, his chakra based arrows wouldn't do anything to him while in there unless he had induced with the properties of wind, but that ability in itself was beyond his current skillset, but the idea was all but in his head.

As he finally jumped to another tree branch that would put him exactly 30 meters from the boy, but unfortunately for him it would not put him out of range of attacks. looking to the boy he would draw his bow string back channeling his chakra into the fletch to create another arrow, but the idea of actually trying out one of the bow's other uses came to mind. Smiling he would perform the Body Flicker technique and place himself ten meters in front of the boy. As he fully materialized he would hold the boy with bow hands, the internal mechanisms turning and transforming until the boy became two blades.

Each of the two blades formed as 2 meter blades in each hand, pointing the one in his left hand at the boy he would smirk," Tired of you running away from me, fight me like a man and show me what you ninja of the Yukigakure village can do...or are you all talk," waiting for the boy to make the first move, the cross shaped eyes would remain on the boy as he played with the blades currently in his hands.

Training in the Jungle [Open, NK] - Page 2 Empty Re: Training in the Jungle [Open, NK]

Giera was hoping he could lure his opponent to come into closer range, by standing in the middle of the pond, where he could easily see the arrows flying towars him, and counter them. Giera's hopes smoldered, as he watched the opponent willingly use sunshin to get into close range, and now standing with two extremely long swords instead of a bow. Giera let out a small upgiving sigh. This guy... How could he carry around two 2 meter long swords? they were even longer than himself, and he didn't seem bothered by it. Giera had done some swordplay in his short time, including swords that were two big for his size, and he knew it required a certain amount of foreseeing, knowing how and when to swing the next blade. But doing it with two 2 meter long blades. This guy was obviously highly skilled in both longranged and closeranged combat.

Tired of me running? Giera thought of the remark you were the one that jumped into the safety of a high tree. Giera didn't speak this out though. He hadn't had much succes provoking. As much as he hated the hot weather here, he dreaded unnecesary conflicts, and this was certainly one. One that he had been the direct cause for at that. Giera opened his mouth, and was about to try to reason with this boy, by trying to understand what the meaning of this was, but quickly decided that would be a waste of time. This person couldn't be reasoned with.

Without blinking, Giera charged foward, on his way, spinning the kunai around his finger once, before taking a better grip onto it. Just as he came into range of the long swords to slice him in two, he stopped the water surface walking jutsu, and fell through the surface with a splash. His forward movement caused him to still go towards his intented target, but below the water. He would then extend the kunai's tip onto the surface, like a shark's fin, and slice towards the boys right foot.

Training in the Jungle [Open, NK] - Page 2 Empty Re: Training in the Jungle [Open, NK]

Running forward? That was an awfully bold move of him considering that Riku out ranged him and out skilled him, but maybe he had something up his sleeve? Whatever he was planning Riku would have to plan around it and make sure to plan a proper counter so that he did not get caught off guard. When the boy finally got close Riku was going to swing his swords until the boy had slipped under the surface in which Riku would respond by jumping over the location of where he once was and quickly reforming the bow. Once the bow clacked into his normal form, through the cross shaped eyes he would see the boys location and shoot three arrows in rapid succession, each arrow being three meters instead of their one meter form.

Should this boy remain in the same position the newly made arrows would hit his position and hit his arms and legs. With this in place, Riku would land on the outer edges of the pond keeping his eyes on the pond as he split the bow yet again into the two swords," So are you going to come out of there or am i going to continue shooting you until i accidentally hit a vital point," what the boy did not know was that his eyes could see through the veil of the water and to his location albeit the radius in which he could see was limited...for now.

Training in the Jungle [Open, NK] - Page 2 Empty Re: Training in the Jungle [Open, NK]

The opponent, as predicted, did the only thing ratinal. Jump up in the air. Giera quickly reactivated the water surface walking and dragged himself above the water with hand he had a kunai in, and would withdraw his sword with the other. Giera hadn't the time to mave out of the arrows way, since he had used his time dragging himself above water, however, he could with a small step, place himself at the edge of the barrage of arrows, and only get hit by one of the arrows. Giera deflected this, with his drawn sword. The arrows direction was changed, and left Giera unharmed, but it came at a great price. A loud snap ran through the air, as the upper part and lower part of Giera's weapon parted, right where the arrow had struck. Not minding his loss, Giera launched himself towards the position his opponent had jumped for. Kunai in right hand and half a sword in the other. Just before his opponent landed, he threw the kunai towards where his chest would be in a minute. This would render his opponent unable to move out of the kunai's way, as he didn't have his feet planted on the ground yet. Once he had thrown the kunai, he quickly grabbed the handle of his sword, with his now free hand, and roared a battlecry, as he closed in the last bit of distance between them. With both his hands he hammered his sword sideways, from right to left, towards his opponents waist.

The upper half of Giera's sword slowly sank to the bottom of the pond.

Riku would continue with his own actions, noting that the arrows that he had shot previously had shattered the boy's sword. Such a shame to see a good blade go to waste but with its shabby blacksmith working it would have never made it in an actual combat situation...not that Riku was even taking this seriously in the first place. As the boy launched the Kunai that had not belonged to him, Riku would have already had his first foot on the ground, due to the projection of the kunai and its speed the kunai would be quickly deflected by the blades of his bow giving Riku a birds eye view of his opponent.

As the boy attempted to close in the distance between the two of them with a simple broken sword, Riku would time his attack once Giera had swung with said blade aiming for his left side first. The blade in Riku's left hand would parry at the correct time waiting until Giera had positioned the blade a mere meter away, given that he was swinging erratically made it easier for Riku to block the attack. With one swipe Riku would break the remains of the other sword but stop before he had cut the boy which would have been a problem. Moving backwards he would still keep his eyes on the boy while speaking," you're defenseless just give up," if he didn't it would no longer be something he would take seriously at all. A simple flick of his wrist and the bow would once again be whole, but during the mix he had made hand seals for something else just in case...he didn't like to be weary but usually unarmed opponents were the ones who would do something...strange.

Training in the Jungle [Open, NK] - Page 2 Empty Re: Training in the Jungle [Open, NK]

The kunai was deflected, and was sent spinning straight up in the air. As soon as his opponent raised his sword to deflect Giera's armed attack, Giera simply let go of the sword, sending it harmlessly into his opponents barricade, and fall to the ground, which they now stood on at the edge of the pond. Simultaneously, his left hand would reach up, and grab the kunai, that came falling down again, using it to block any attacks that would come from the armed hand, that wasn't used to deflect Giera's sword, while the right would form a fist. As Giera had swung his blade at waist heigth the fist was naturally aimed at his opponents gut in an upward direction.

Giera's uppe half of the sword had reached the bottom of the pond, while the other lied by its edge, severely damaged. All the holding breath under water, jumping and dodging, swinging and slashing hadn't been the sunday-picnic Giera had hoped for, when he started his journey into the jungle. Giera was tired, and arrows had left marks on Giera's shoulder and thigh, and stained his clothes with blood. "What do you want from me?" Giera said after breathing in and out for a few seconds. Giera would say this had he hit his opponent or not. Even if he had hit his opponent, it wouldn't have made much impact, as Giera wasn't particualarly strong and quite exhausted at the moment. the other boy would most likely just stagger backwards a step or two, if by nothing then surprise. But Giera felt like it was enough for him to have been able to at least slip past the advanced stranger's barricade of swords and arrows. But one question still cast it's shadow on all Giera's thoughts. Is my surrender enough for him? When wil he be content? Is he really one of those guys that kill when given the oppotunity? Giera clutched his fist, waiting for the boy to answer.

Training in the Jungle [Open, NK] - Page 2 Empty Re: Training in the Jungle [Open, NK]

Riku would only sigh as the boy continue to try and attack him, even knowing that he wouldn't be able to attempt such an barbaric attempt but Riku would only pass it off as a last resort but the boy. Looking at him and the distance that the two were he could simply cut his hand off and stop it there or beat the kunai out of his hands and force him to submit. Such tempting options but he would go with the lesser of the two and simply force him into submission which would not take much time or effort," This kid doesn't know when to give up...sad honestly," it was a simple thought, but this fight was going to be over now.

When his fist and the kunai would head towards their destination, both blades would quickly move forward to block both the punch and the kunai, but once the two had clashed with the blunt sides of the blade he would push backwards, and also advance backwards putting the swords back into the bow form and smiling. While his body wasn't necessarily tired he did need to get that meat back to his home before it started to spoil. Finding no other reason to stick around he would answer the boys question while holding two fingers up," You have already given it to me....whether you like it or not this fight ends in your loss," with that his body would disappear and reappear beside the deer, picking it up and using the same technique again to leave the area, leaving Giera in the forest by himself again.

Moving from tree to tree at a rapid pace, he would shake his head and think about the battle in whole," Maybe i should consider fighting more opponents to see their worth....if they are not of the village of course and some meeting is called i want to assure myself that these.... ninja are capable of handling their own in a case that something goes south," seeing this as a probable cause he would take a right before heading to his home outside of the village. His next stop after securing the meat and making sure that it was still fresh, he would need to go and speak with the current leader of the village to assess just what was going on. If he could answer his questions and assure him that these people inside of the village were here on his knowledge then he would find himself slightly at ease although, like most animals in the wild he would still be at some form of the word....cautious of their actions and reasoning's, but hey if anything he would simply keep it to himself that he didn't rouse suspicions against himself.

Forgetting that he had left his Kunai back with that kid, he would sigh knowing that he didn't have another one. At some point he would need to get that back from the kid or else he would have to get more...then again it was an old knife so he could easily go to the armory and get another one. Seeing that was a thing he would dismiss it and continue on his way towards his home where he would put some of the meat up and have some deer and vegetables tonight.

Training in the Jungle [Open, NK] - Page 2 Empty Re: Training in the Jungle [Open, NK]

Giera blinked, as his attack was negated, and on top of that puched backwards. Hadn't the opponent just tried to parried his sword? Giera looked down at it, as it lay there beside him. He definitely had. But he had been fast enough to do that AND bring his sword back to where Giera's hand had already continued AND turn the sword around, as not to make any damage to Giera's hand.. All while they were less than a meter away from eachother. This guy must at least be double as fast as me Giera figured.

Giera sighed with relief as he heard his opponent form a mocking sentence. He almost laughed, so reliefed was he. He was just one of those guys flexing their muscles Giera realized. Had he known this before, he would've just waved the boy off, telling him he was not interrested in fighting. Everything makes perfect sense... The aggressive behavior, the non-lethal attacks. He is just one of those onetracked minds, that only seeks to become 'stronger' as they say. God knows why... They come up with all sorts of reasons. They have their pride for sure, picking on it wasn't the brightest idea... Giera had just had a bright idea though, which was perfectly reasonable in a situation like this. Play dead.

Giera fell to one knee, gritting his teeth while holding a hand up to cover the scratch on his shoulder. "Yes... I am defeated..." Giera said with regret in his voice, as if he felt ashamed by his loss. He knew how people like this felt content with victory, though they would probably never admit it.

Giera held this stance until he knew the boy was out of sight and picked up his lower half. He was also surprised to find the kunai still on the 'battlefield'. Giera marvelled at his newly aquired treasure with wide eyes. Where did the person get his money, since he could just throw around with kunais like that? didn't he know what they were worth? After swimming around the pond for a while, Giera found the top half of his sword, which he carefully put into his holster, and with the help of some strong lianas, he managed to bind it, so that it would stay in place. It wasn't much worth though, but Giera felt naked without a big sword on his back, and the chains faint ringing had really grown on Giera, so he could't just leave it behind. Ater making these arrangements Giera set up camp.
Next day he went back to Taki.
