Water style, water prison jutsu!(complete)
Sat Dec 20, 2014 3:14 am
Jason had made immense progress since first becoming a Genin. He had already learned one B and one A rank jutsu as well as become more able to come up with battle strategies. Still, it wasn't enough. Jason wanted to become strong. The strongest in his entire village. He wanted to become Hokage, no he WOULD become Hokage. He decided that in order to do so he would need to learn more jutsu. Going over the water style jutsu he knew about in his head he decided to start by learning the water prison technique. Now he knew the seals and basic principles behind the technique. The seals were Snake → Ram → Horse → Hare → Ram → Horse → Hare → Snake → Ox - Clap Hands. Basically the jutsu could be formed by using preexisting water or creating water from your mouth and melding chakra with it. This made the water much more dense and hard for anyone trapped in it to move. The only downside of this technique was that the user must keep one hand in the water prison at all times in order to keep it maintained. This wasn't much of a problem for Jason. He was adept at using multiple jutsu in combinations and turning weaknesses in to strengths. He continued to think on this until he arrived at the training fields. Once he arrived, he took his usual spot underneath a large tree near the edge of the fields and sat down underneath the tree to begin meditating.
Jason started his meditation by clearing his mind of everything except the task at hand. He needed to focus solely on learning this jutsu. Once his mind was clear, he started to imagine himself manipulating his chakra and using his water element to create the amount of water he needed for the jutsu. It was possible that this would take him some time to accomplish seeing as he has only ever used one other water style jutsu, being the hidden mist jutsu. Although thinking about it, the hidden mist jutsu has somewhat of the same concept since both require manipulating you water element chakra and expelling a substance from your mouth to use against an opponent. With that in mind Jason changed his mind and assumed instead that learning the water prison jutsu would be fairly easy for him. He opened his eyes and stood up, prepared to begin attempting the jutsu. He began to gather his chakra at his mouth, readying to expel the water. Next he performed the necessary signs. Snake → Ram → Horse → Hare → Ram → Horse → Hare → Snake → Ox → Clap Hands. 'Water Prison Jutsu!" Water started trickling out of his mouth and on to the floor in to a small puddle. Not the expected outcome. Jason released the jutsu. He went over in his head exactly what could've went wrong so that he could fix it and try again. He must have not given enough chakra to make the amount of water he needed for the technique. He mentally slapped himself, he should have known it would take more chakra than that to create a water prison.
He gathered his thoughts and again prepared to perform the jutsu. He concentrated water element chakra at his mouth and then performed the jutsu seals. Snake → Ram → Horse → Hare → Ram → Horse → Hare → Snake → Ox → Clap Hands. "Water style, Water Prison Jutsu!" Water again began to spill out of his mouth, only it was more water this time. It still wasn't enough to make a complete water prison but it was more than the first attempt. He cancelled the jutsu and the water disappeared. He was getting closer to being able to successfully perform the jutsu. He wasn't quite sure of the correct amount of chakra to use just yet but it seemed he was getting closer. If he just continued to progressively add chakra a little bit at a time he would eventually get the right amount. He started to channel his water element chakra again, adding what he thought would be an adequate amount judging from the first two attempts he had already made. Performing the signs, Snake → Ram → Horse → Hare → Ram → Horse → Hare → Snake → Ox → Clap Hands, he kept track of the amount of chakra he was using. Water freely flowed from his mouth this time. Jason had controlled his chakra while it flowed, tweaking it so as not to give too much or too little but just enough to create the amount of water he needed for the water prison. Once the correct amount of water had been created it stopped flowing from Jason's mouth and he held out his left arm. Immediately the chakra infused water came together in a sphere with a radius of three meters attached to his arm. He only maintained the jutsu for a short period of time, reveling in his abilities, before releasing it. The water exploded as if it were a water balloon being popped and then disappeared. He had finally managed to create a water prison, even if only once. He would continue training, practicing the jutsu a few more times and then try it out on physical targets.
Now that he knew the correct amount of chakra to use for this jutsu he was ready to try it again. He gathered his chakra for the fourth time, preparing to perform the jutsu correctly. He performed the seals, Snake → Ram → Horse → Hare → Ram → Horse → Hare → Snake → Ox → Clap Hands, and again water flowed from Jason's mouth. As the water flowed he raised his left arm and a dense sphere of chakra infused water formed connected to his arm. Once the sphere was fully formed the water stopped flowing from his mouth. Jason had once again performed the water prison jutsu correctly. He released the jutsu and the sphere of water disappeared. He had expended a lot of chakra already on practicing the water prison technique. He had enough chakra left to perform the jutsu one more time and then he will have to take a break and refuel.
Jason gathered his water element chakra and focused his concentration on keeping the amount correct. Next he performed the seals for the jutsu. Snake → Ram → Horse → Hare → Ram → Horse → Hare → Snake → Ox → Clap Hands. Water flowed from Jason's mouth and created a sphere of dense chakra infused water attached to his outstretched left arm. He held the jutsu for a few moments and then released it. Once it was released Jason almost dropped to the ground from exhaustion but caught himself. He sat down cross legged underneath the tree and pulled out a couple sandwiches and bottles of water. He needed to eat and rehydrate before he continued. Using the wrong amounts of chakra tired him out fairly quickly.
He barely had the energy to eat at first but as soon as he got a couple bites he started devouring the sandwiches one after another and then chugged both bottles of water. When he was finished with his lunch he stayed in that position and meditated on how to best practice using the technique in real life battle situations. He was planning on using his shadow clones again, trying to trap one in the water prison. If he could manage that then he would call it a day and accept that he could finally use the water prison technique. He stood up after a few minutes, reinvigorated now that he ate and had a plan for the next step of his training. Jason made the Clone Seal and summoned two Shadow Clones. It would be him and one clone against the other this time. It was the first time he practiced with a teammate, even if it was just a shadow clone.
Jason threw a kunai at the opponent and the clone on his team charged at the enemy with a rasengan. The enemy clone used a substitution jutsu, changed places with a log and threw shuriken at Jason. Jason threw his own shuriken to intercept and then did the hand signs Snake → Ram → Horse → Hare → Ram → Horse → Hare → Snake → Ox → Clap Hands expelling water from his mouth while charging at the enemy clone. The enemy clone realized what was happening but it was too late. Jason's teammate clone had recovered and caught the enemy clone off guard, restraining him just long enough for Jason to trap him in the water prison technique. "Mission complete." he said giving a thumbs up to the clones. He then released the water prison jutsu and freed the clone.
Next, Jason dispelled one of the clones, intending to practice using the water prison in one on one combat. He faced the remaining clone and took a traditional taijutsu stance. Hand to hand combat wasn't really his forte but he figured he would try for it anyway. The clone did the same. Jason aimed a right jab at the clones face. It was blocked by the clones left hand followed by a swift counter attack in the form of a right hook. Jason grabbed the clones arm and aimed to flip him over his shoulder. Instead, the clone broke free of Jason's grip as he was being flipped and landed on his feet facing Jason. They returned to their original stance. 'If only I can get the clone off balance I should be able to trap him with my water prison. I just have to keep my eyes peeled for an opening.' thought Jason. He charged at the clone, pulling out a kunai. The clone Jason did the same thing, meeting in a clash of kunai against kunai. With his free hand Jason created a rasengan and aimed it at his stomach. Jason felt the rasengan make contact and then POOF!
A puff of white smoke erupted in front of Jason and in the clone's place was a substitution log. 'Oh no.' Jason thought as he tried to turn around in time to react. It was too late. Instead of Jason trapping the clone in the water prison jutsu, he himself got trapped. Well, it was definitely a challenge fighting himself that's for sure. He had to keep calm and think of a way to get out of this. The water was so dense he couldn't even move so there was no way he could make any seals to cast jutsu. He wasn't strong enough to escape the water prison on his own at the moment but if he didn't get out of here soon he was going to pass out. There's no way he could be killed by his own clone. He couldn't hold his breathe any longer and hadn't been able to find a way out. Jason dispelled the shadow clone jutsu and the water prison immediately fell apart with the user no longer able to maintain it. Jason landed on his hands and knees, coughing and sputtering trying to catch his breathe. 'That was too close for comfort. If my clone were an actual enemy I'd be dead right now. At least I got the battle experience from both sides so I can use that to try and avoid getting myself in to a similar situation.' he thought to himself as he finally caught his breathe and was able to stand upright. Jason mentally reviewed the battle that just took place, focusing first on his point of view and then on his clones, searching for any information that could help him in the future.
Anything he found he made a mental note of for later and then returned his attention to the training field. Jason mentally patted himself on the back for coming this far and for mastering the water prison technique as quickly as he did. He was making definite progress on his path to becoming Hokage. For now he just needed to continue focusing on becoming stronger. Before leaving Jason wanted to perform the water prison jutsu one last time as fast as he can. He gathered his chakra and performed the necessary seals. Immediately water came from his mouth and formed the prison in a sphere connected to his left arm. He released the jutsu, smirking to himself, and turned and left the training fields.
