Survival Skillz Yo

Good golly, Hado Kirino had never known such hunger in his life. The missing ninja, though not really by choice, scampered up the tree, working on an adaptation of a survival technique. To survive, the last few weeks, he had had to learn some ninja techniques beyond those in the academy, even though he had been flunking his class. If only he had paid more attention before the bandits had shown up. Now he had to learn everything on his own. Oh well.

Today he was finally starting to get the hand of applying chakra to his feet. This was important because no birds that were sane, that he knew of, left their eggs on the ground. Yep, he was using this technique for survival, applying chakra to his feet to help him stealthily sneak up the trees in search of a meal. Too bad he was horrible at starting fires, but honestly, his stomach had gotten used to the raw or barely cooked eggs by now, and he had stopped throwing up after the first week. They said hunger was the best sauce but it truly was greater than that. He felt he might try the grass soon.

If this pace kept up, Hado Kirino might have grown up to be a relatively mature ten year old, he was getting really practiced at going hungry. Hanging from the underside of a tree, he waited for his next meal, a rabbit he had been following, to run by so he could grab it from above…
