Training Day 3 (Fire Stream)

Kaneki had been at the training field for the better part of an hour when he was finished reviewing old techniques. After stretching he looked to a scroll that laid on the ground. "Let's see what's next. Fire style: Fire Stream, finally a new fire technique." He looked over the instructions to the Jutsu and sighed before staring at it. "This....is so damn weak...I was hoping it would be way bigger than this. Oh well."

After setting the scroll down and walking to the center of the training field Kaneki paused to remember the steps. "Ok...First thing is to focus my chakra on my chest..." As he closed his eyes and concentrated Kaneki felt his bodies chakra shift. After a moment he opened his eyes and looked to his hands. "Half-tiger seal...kind of weird." Forming the seal with his hand the young shinobi held his breath as he felt the chakra build up in his chest. 

As he opened his mouth a small flame, came from his lips and extended out barely two meters. At first Kaneki got excited and felt as if he had the jutsu down. In his excitement he lost control of his chakra and the small flame in front of him disappeared. He groaned for a moment before deciding to try again. "Ok...this time don't rush....don't rush." Forming the hand sign once more, he prepared to try the jutsu again. Half-tiger. "Fire style: Fire stream." This time as he built the chakra up in his chest he used too little and a flame never even emerged. The boy stared in front of him for a moment before inhaling, swiftly followed by a calm exhale. "Here we go again."  Half-tiger. "Fire style: Fire stream." In his third attempt the boy was sure he would end in success and just as he speculated the fire flew from his lips and lashed out almost two meters away from him. After a moment he began to slow and eventually stop his chakra, ending the jutsu. The dirt around him was nicely charred, it was obvious a fire jutsu had been practiced here. After a moment Kaneki walked over to one of the training dummies and exhaled. "Ok....Now to try and apply it to movement."
 
Kaneki looked to his target, which stood barely 5 meters away. He knew he had to close the 3 meters of space between the two before he could succeed in an attack with his new jutsu. "Ok....here we go..." Without another second Kaneki moved forward in a fast dash, his hand moving to form the seal while focusing his chakra into his chest. Half-tiger. "Fire style: Fire stream!" As he slid to a stop to the right side of the dummy his fire flew towards the target's head, engulfing it in flames. After pausing to watch the flames dissipate away from the target Kaneki stood back up and smiled. "Yea...that will work...but I need more jutsu." After walking back to his scroll and looking it over he wondered when he would get Jutsu that were worth his time.
