It seemed fighting was not this jounin’s specialty, as she went for the eyes of the creature once more blinding it to the environment. She seemed capable of dodging at least as she avoided the claws of the scorpions while performing seals. As the flame rushed forward in a great billow of heat the scorpions shrieked as they were cooked within their exoskeleton.  Their arms flailed, the stingers buried themselves in the ground repeatedly in a last-ditch effort for vengeance. Yet none would come, as the flames died out all that would remain were charred husks and the occasional twitch from still living muscle.

“I think its dead.” Ryu would say snapping his fingers causing his scorch orbs to disappear. Along with that the steam surrounding him would also be gone. With the jutsu ending Ryu dropped a couple of pounds, it was one of the side effects of his jutsu. Reaching into his bag he pulled out a donut and ate it. “I brought a lot of food are you hungry?” He would then pull out more food and eat it, it was rather fast for someone his size too. It was obvious he had to be hungry to eat like he was currently.

“Yeah, its pretty weird that all these scorpions were waiting here. Maybe, its because of all of the people coming through recently.” At least its taken care of though, they shouldn’t come back anytime soon and people will be safe to travel. The genin would eat a piece of bread as he looked around for any similar mounds that the creatures could hide in. “Well I don’t see any more of them or even sense them, so we should be pretty good for a while. We need to get over to the borders though to pick up our person.” It seemed that Faith was more of a nurturing person asking the chuunin if he had received any injuries, but he had gotten none and would tell the jounin.
At this point both of the ninja started to continue on their journey. Ryu was already full and had stopped eating, so he was free and ready to answer when Faith asked him about the kazekage. “Well, he is my uncle so he’s pretty awesome. He’s nice, strong, and completely dedicated to Suna. When we fought, I could feel his gentleness. His attacks crushed my ribs, but he was quick to heal the injuries and didn’t allow me to fall. His beliefs of no killing are cool, like he doesn’t change his mind for anything. I’ve made it a goal to be like him, if there is another option to killing I’d rather take it. Like even with those scorpions, I didn’t kill them just showed them attacking us wasn’t a good idea. I’m not saying what you did was wrong, I’m sure uncle Koroshi only meant killing people when he was talking.” He would say pausing to make sure the jounin wasn’t offended. “His idea of the bijuu though I slightly disagree with.” Ryu would leave it at that, as Faith was a jounin she probably knew about the nine and one tail, but the chuunin wasn’t sure so he wouldn’t continue unless prompted.

“He is a hero, he saved us from the attack by the one tail after the previous kazekage died. A man from the leaf who fought on our behalf. Though, I hope now if a similar event were to happen Suna would be capable of defending itself.”


Ryu would look at the jounin, she had to have asked for a reason. “What about you?” It was probably good to get her opinion as well. Maybe they would agree and have something to talk about the rest of the day. Maybe they would disagree and have to find a new subject entirely. “So, I saw you use fire style.” That jutsu she used seemed off somehow. “I have a few fire techniques if you want me to show you. I know lets see majestic fire destruction, great fireball shower, phoenix flower, Dragon fire flame bullet, crimson fire spider, and great fireball.” It wasn’t many, but there were some so the options were open. Maybe, Faith already knew all of these jutsu and Ryu was just digging a hole thinking that she didn’t.

After about half an hour of ninja travel the two would come across the ninja of the leaf village. One was a male and another female. “They only sent two of you?” The tone was not one of condescension, but of surprise. He would shrug. “No matter miserable pervert is yours now.” He would pull out a pen and piece of paper and hold it out for one of the two to sign. “Just sign here, signifying he is in Suna’s hands now.” The paper the man used was imbued with chakra made to deter writing someone else’s name. If Faith wrote a different name the ink would turn from its usual black coloring to blue. In addition to this, the ninja would likely call his allies to subdue the two sand shinobi. As it would appear through lying about who they were that they were not actually of the sand. Taking the paper and pen Ryu would write down his own name. Even though the lettering was odd, the paper didn’t detect any intentional falsehoods.

The leaf ninja would take the pen and paper back handing Faith a copy, before speaking to her. “Watch out guys rich and thinks he can do whatever he wants.” He would then whistle in a few moments two more ninja and a man in his early thirties would appear from behind the dune behind the guy they were talking to.

“I don’t want to leave you my dear Mitoko!” The man would yell attempting to kiss the female ninja who was desperately pushing his face away from her own. As they got closer to the sand ninja though the man turned to look at Faith. “Oh, another pretty lady. Would you care to be my mistress like Mitoko?” The girl known as Mitoko became obviously angered. “I’m not your mistress! He’s yours now.” She would then with a wide smile flicker away. “You didn’t even say goodbye to me!” He would yell before lightly uttering the word women.

“So, how does a pretty girl like you wind in a place like this?” He would ask Faith. While the leaf ninja waved goodbye and backed away until they were completely out of sight. “Let me check something out are your lips soft?” He would lean into Faith attempting to take her lips only to meet Ryu’s hand. “We’re here to take you to Suna, I’ll be your mistress.” The man fell to his knees with those words overtaken by the words he just heard. “But he’s a dude.” The man grumbled silently, as Ryu asked Faith what a mistress was.

As the boy would continue talking, explaining his feelings of the Kage, Faith would respond once he finished. “With all honesty, I don’t like the thought of a foreigner being a village leader, let along Kage. Bring so many questions into play, sure, right now he is acting on our side, but when it came down to the benefit of his own people the people her grew up with, those from his childhood, or would he choose to protect those that are under his care now, us, our families and friends, the Suna people. Honestly, while he has his strengths. I don’t know how much we can trust him.”

Faith would stop and think for a second, before responding, “However, the man did come and save us even though he didn’t need to, and seeing how no one from Suna could protect themselves at that time, I feel like he is the only real choice to be Kazekage. Also, I know I said I don’t know if he would protect us if his native people needed us, however, I get this feeling… I don’t know how or why, because it is completely illogical, but I get the feeling that he wouldn’t leave us to out to die no matter what happened. He would always stand up for us and defend us in battle.

As for the Bijuu, I suppose you are referring to the fact he put and evil demon in himself? Well, I can see someone doing that in order to defend a village, but those demons are just concentrated evil….. I don’t know how one person can handle all that. He isn’t the first person to do that, but he is the first that I know of that tried to do it with 2 monsters. That.. I agree is a little bit overkill. I don’t understand how one person can keep all that rage in them.”


At that point, the chunin would point out Faith’s firestyle, and she would say, “Actually, that would be great. I’m more of a sword’s woman myself, but until I get a better weapon, I will need to use Ninjutsu to boost my combat abilities. I am supposed to have a family sword that is supposed to be able to cut through anything. However, I am having some problems retrieving it from my families old place, so… I don’t know how much longer it will take. To get it, probably 5 years or something like that.”

After a bit of time, the two ran into a group of Konoha ninja’s would come up to them with the nobels. Faith would be given a piece of paper to sign, which the girl would sign, before handing it back to them. She signed with her real name, obviously, no reason to fake her name. As she was warned about the nobels, she would nod and say “Understood, thank you for the warning.” and would turn to face the people.

The man would then, almost immediately stop hitting on the kunochi that was escorting him and turn his attention to Faith. Faith had never had someone approach her like this before, but as a soldier, she tried to do her best to ignore it, until Ryu stopped him from touching Faith. With all honesty, that was a bad move that, unless the absolutely impossible happened and something happened to the records of Suna, like, oh…. Perhaps mission files got loss, perhaps they got destroyed in a fire, or, oh, who knows… maybe suna gets taken over…. Would probably haunt him for a while.

That being said, Angel was still glad that the boy did this, not wanting the sweaty disgusting man to touch her. She would then look at the nobel and say “ Sir, with all do respect, I am a warrior, a Kunochi, not a house wife, I would remind you that you should keep your hands to yourself.” and turn to start to walk back to the village.

After a bit of time, Ryu would then come up to faith and ask him what a mistress was.

Faith’s eye would twitch a little bit, before spiting out, “Basicly, when a guy ask a girl about something like that, it means the guy is trying to get into the girl's pants.”

Most guys at Ryu’s age would get what that meant, but perhaps the Goka wouldn’t. Who knew. With that, the two would take the man back and get him back to the village.

“Oh, he wants your bloodline ability.” Ryu would respond after Faith informed him that he was trying to get into her pants. “That’s why I don’t wear pants. If you wear shorts you won’t have a problem with someone trying to take your jeans.”


The noble looked at Ryu as if he was an idiot, before grabbing his arm. “Kid, your like what fourteen? You’ve got to know what ladies and gentlemen do together.” The chuunin shrugged. “Never really thought about it.” He would say causing the man’s grip to tighten. “Well then I’ll just tell you.” The man and Ryu would walk together as they talked.

Clearly the man was more interested in this talk than Ryu. So, when Ryu saw the gates he pointed them out quickly. “Oh, look the gates. I was so interested in this talk I barely remembered this was a mission.” An obvious lie, but the man snapped his fingers and wrapped up the conversation. Faith likely heard every detail of the mans talk and Ryu’s responses of that’s cool and why would you want to do that? Followed by the man’s further explaining. Once, inside the village and the man left to flirt with the women of the village Ryu would sigh and look to Faith. “You know it’s gotta be tough being a girl, you have to deal with that all day. That guy talked my ear off about some weird stuff.” The chuunin wouldn’t recount the conversation he was still trying to forget it. “Well later.”


He would wave and then head back to the kazekage’s office to collect his reward.
