A Favor From Everyones Favorite Magical Girl (pnk)

Valen moved throughout the Hoshigakure library carefully, searching for a certain chestnut haired jonin. The smell of books and scrolls filled the air of the silent place of research as the well air conditioned (God could you imagine the stagnation if it wasn’t) building was used by hundreds of people every day. The magical girl in question had occupied a fair few of his thoughts recently, when a breakthrough toward a certain issue came to him. He remembered a few weeks ago when he mistakenly critically injured a young genin, on the cusp of his chunin exam in a spar. When he was about to rush him the hospital Hikari appeared, concerned, and sealed the boy inside of her. He knew the boy was going to be okay then, as when he would be released he would return with a fully working, undamaged body. It was like the ultimate healing technique. But this use of the technique, while incredibly useful, was not what Valen was interested in. See, if he were to be sealed within Hikari, he would become a mass of chakra within her. Including all of his possessions. Which included his corrupt, and very sentient sword, Crimson End. This meant two consciousnesses would reside within the same body of chakra. Allowing he himself to trigger a confrontation to wrest control of the blade from the dark sentience, and purge it from the centuries old weapon once and more all.

This was the reason Valen was here, at what he could only assume was Hikari’s favorite place, searching for her. His chakra sensory was on as he searched, as he knew her signature by heart. He would admit he would feel a bit bad about asking him for something like this though. She was always helping him out. While he did nothing of the sort. He’d truly have to find a way to make it up to her. Dinner? A movie? A Seal Test Dummy? He’d pretty do anything if she asked at this point. It was during this tangent of thought that he didn’t notice his chakra sensory. He could’ve walked right by her and he wouldn’t even know. He would be walking by a bunch of shelves at the moment, people every once in awhile would come out from behind the shelves, going about their research. Luckily they noticed his attention was elsewhere, wordlessly deciding to move to the side and let the seventeen year old pass by without bother.

It was another day in Hoshi's library as Hikari Namikaze was siting down in her usual place, reading up more on Gravity and all of that crazy space time stuff that would help her with creating rifts in the fabric of the universe. It was quite difficult, but Hikari knew that she needed something more to learn, and this was more of a challenge.

She had been at the library for a few hours, just doing her usual thing, when she suddenly sensed someone, Valen Akari's presence coming toward her.

With that, Hikari would turn around and see him walking.... he looked a little bit distracted, as if he was deep in thought

Seeing her friend like this, the Chestnut haired girl would call / whisper out to the dark haired Chunin "Hey, Val? You don't look so good. Are you ok?"

Valen would be snapped from his thoughts by the voice of the very girl that was on his mind. A light blush would colour his cheeks in minor embarrassment for losing sense of his surroundings. He would proceed to take a deep breath and move over toward the girl. “Hey Hikari, I’m not doing so well actually. After that spar with Akemi Hiyu gone wrong I’ve been thinking a lot lately. I have a secret I need to tell someone. You can actually help me with it in a way if you’d be willing. But I’d like to talk to you somewhere private. Can we go to one of the sealed rooms around the corner and talk?” He’d ask in curiosity. The rooms in question were sealed shut and soundproofed so research groups could study in peace while still discussing projects without annoying the people who weren’t a part of their group. These rooms would be perfect for them. She could seal him in there too if she so chose. Well, if she was willing to help him of course.

If she chose to come with him he would politely reach a hand down to help the sitting girl up before turning and moving toward the rooms. His stomach was in knots and he was sweating a bit more than usual. One might mistaken the signs for something else extremely easily, but really he was nervous about asking the girl to seal him inside of her so that he can fight a centuries old consciousness into submission for control of his favored weapon. After all one doesn’t usually request such a thing. On the walk to the room he would be uncharacteristically quiet. Him, as in the dude who would sooner not say a word to you. Would be unnaturally quiet. This could probably be taken as a sure sign that something was horrendously wrong. Once they got to the room he would open the door and hold it open for her, letting her enter first before entering himself and closing and locking the portal between rooms. The difference was staggering. On the other side you could still hear the turn of a page, the hustle and bustle of the library, while extremely quiet, still had some noise in it. In here it was deathly quiet, save for his own nervous breathing of course.

“Well here goes..” He’d say, not able to meet eye contact easily. “You know my sword, right? The one I usually wield?” He would ask, putting a hand on the hilt in case somehow she had yet to notice it. “Well...It might have a centuries old sentience within it that craves on the blood of my enemies and constantly tries to make me kill those around me.” He would say, rather quickly actually, as if he were forcing it out. “I don’t feel as if it’s corrupting me..but at the same time I know I myself would never harm a fellow Hoshi shinobi in the way I did. I almost killed that boy Hikari..If you hadn’t of been there I very well could have…” He would say, a tone of dejection and desperation in his voice. “I think the sentience might be influencing me more than I’d care to admit..Because Akemi isn’t the first..There was one more who died in a training accident with me months back..He didn’t dodge an attack I’d launched and while the strike was supposed to be non lethal, it struck him in the throat and shattered his esophagus. I watched him slowly die from lack of air and internal bleeding..The Queen tried to save him, but it was too late. It was dubbed an accident. That one simple word was used to denote the life of a genin I didn’t even know the name of at the time. For the record it was Dimi, Dimi Zataru..” He would say before sighing deeply and continuing on. “I need to purge the sentience from this sword. It can reform itself so if I try to destroy it it’ll simply reform, if I try to hide it it’ll do this to someone else and I won’t allow that. But if I hold on it I’m afraid I’ll slowly deepen into madness and go on a killing spree.” He would say, gripping the sheath of the sword tightly in anger, his knuckles turning white.

“The technique you used to save Akemi was a Fuinjutsu..You sealed him and his possessions inside of you. They all became one mass of chakra. If you did it to me, while this sword is in my possession the same would happen to me yes? Meaning we’d be one mass of chakra within you..With two consciousness’..I’d be able to take on the sentience itself on it’s own turf, and eradicate it for good. If you’d be willing to help me..” He’d let that part hang for a moment before continuing “There’s nothing I wouldn’t do in return for this..You could ask anything and I would see it done personally..” He would finish finally, bringing up deep crimson eyes to meet hers. To be honest Valen was insanely afraid of going through with this. After all if she sealed him within her would she know everything about him? Everything in his mind? Could she access memories? Emotions? He couldn’t deny he’d started to feel strongly for the girl, but he wouldn’t say it to her. Nay, couldn’t. Why might you ask? Fear of rejection? Partially, judgment? Some of that as well. But really he was afraid. If he admitted his emotions and she reciprocated them. It’d be uncharted territory. He’d never gotten close to people, hell she was already the closest person to him. He mostly kept to himself in training after all and he kept most of his achievements to himself. He was honestly afraid of what could happen. If she sealed him into her, would she know all of that? Was it worth it? Of course it was..He couldn’t think about things that way. His personal embarrassment was worth far less than the possibility of potential killings and assaults.

Of course if she did not agree to come with him he’d simply nod his head in understanding before responding “That’s fine, when might you be available to meet in private?” He’d ask before getting the time and place before nodding. “I’ll be there.” He’d say and leave without a word.

As the chestnut haired girl heard how Valen was still a little bit out of it, Hikari could understand. During her own Chunin exam, she felt absolute pain in her gut, thinking she was just a few inches away from taking the Life of Ayato. And she didn't even mess up there, she knew where she was aiming and it hit exactly where. For Val who accidentally almost killed someone who was of a lower rank than him..... he must of been feeling some sort of pain.

When Val asked if the two could go into somewhere private, The teenager would respond. "Oh, yeah, of course. I always have time for you Valen. I think the room we used before is still open. We could go there if you want."

As Hikari was about to stand up, The Akari did something strange. He offered his hand out to her to help her up. It.... seemed a little out of character for Val to initiate physical contact like this, but it didn't mater to much, Hikari would take the hand use it to help herself up.

Durring the walk toward the room, Val was quite..... like.... very quite. Honestly, this sort of worried the chestnut haired Jounin. But either way, Hikari was about to find out what was going on in more detail.

Once the two got to the private room, Hikari would hear Valen starting to talk about his sword.

"Your sword..... Um... yes, I have seen it a few times. I don't think I ever caught its name though....."

Hearing more about the accident, and the past of the sword, Hikari started to worry, While she knew of course that Val would never purposefully kill a genin like that... however, if someone heard that there were two accidents so close to each other, it could easily lead to a further investigation. It seemed like it was a good thing that Hikari didn't mention the incident to anyone.

The chunin would then lay out his plan, and a dark face would envelop around the girl's face. "Valen..... Yes.... what you are saying is possible.... but... are you sure you would like to do this? If you win... yes, you can beat the item into submision, but if you loose..... well.... that will be the end of you. You may live or die. I honestly don't know.... but if you do loose and live, you will become a monster.... that sword will take over your mind and you will become that crazed blood lusted monster you fear so much. Are.... are you sure about this?"

With that, Hikari would wait and listen for Val's response, to see what he wished to continue on this path.

Valen’s eyes would harden at her words, the blush dusting his cheeks long gone and the collywobbles in his stomach dissipated. He knew she was merely looking out for him, he knew she cared about him as a friend. But this was too important to let anyone else handle. “I know..” He would say, taking a deep breath before going into an explanation into his mindset. “The problem is that if I leave it alone how long will it be before I attack another genin? Or a chunin? How long until I turn my blade against ANOTHER Hoshigakure Shinobi? How long before I turn it on you?” He would begin, getting more and more passionate as the speech went on. If the moment a few minutes ago were unnaturally quiet then these were surprisingly talkative, passionate even for the normally apathetic Chunin. “I can’t just try to hide it somewhere and hope it stays hidden. That never works...One day it would be found and be used again and I won’t allow that to happen. It can’t be destroyed, it just reforms itself each time. I need to purify it, to destroy the sentience within. I can’t risk someone else finding themselves turning their blade on their comrades, it’s a devastating feeling Hikari. The realization that you did that, and that it wasn’t an accident. But coerced thoughts through another being? Can you imagine? It has to be me..” He would finish, staring off into space as he finished his reply to her inquiry.

“I don’t know if you’ll be able to know how the fight is going. Or if you’ll be able to somehow know my thoughts and emotions as it goes on. But if that sentience wins..Get near someone..powerful.” He would say, the visage of the scarred and stitched chunin appeared in his mind. “Kenshin..If it wins get to him, and then unseal it don’t know how powerful the sentience would truly be with a real body to control. So get a partner, and put me down like the dog I’d become.” He would say, conviction resonating through his voice. He wouldn’t lose to this thing, he was a shinobi of Hoshigakure No Sato, and he would be fighting the personality of a sword. He would handle it and be done in time before the girl before him could leave the library for the day. It was here that a thought occurred to him.

“How about this..” He would begin saying as he made eye contact with the brown-eyed brunette. “It’s midday now, you’ll be able to unseal me with enough time for me to treat you to dinner. I”m a man of my word” He would say, the look in his eyes and the small smirk on his face showed a jest, despite the tense situation. Trying to diffuse the tension a bit. “I’ll take you wherever you choose.” He would finish, maintaining eye contact with the girl for the duration of her answer.

“You can seal me when you’re ready Hikari..No one can see or hear us in here anyway so it’s as good a place as any..” He would say as he looked down and took a deep breath in preparation for the next part.

To the thought of weather or not Hikari would know about the battle going on.... The Chestnut haired girl did not know. After all, Akemi was the only person that had been sealed inside her, and even then, he was out cold for pretty much the entire time that he was in her. Hikari had wished she could get in contact with Takeo, the mysterious wanderer that Hikari sealed the one tailed Bijuu in. Prehaps he would know.... no.... even if he did, having a demon inside him probably wasn't something that Hikari would want to bring up with him. After all, how many deep dark thought would the demon have whispered into his ears after all this time.

As for the thought of getting Kenshin, Hikari would shake her head. "That.... probably isn't the best idea. Even if you fall to the sword, I don't want to give up on you. And If we grabbed Kenshin, I don't see him not killing you once he realizes the situation. I'm going to grab Shiroi, I think she returned from her mission. If I ask her, She would definitely be able to restrain you while we figured out what to do with you."

Hikari didn't want to mention that the Hiyu also had a weapon with a mind of it's own as well because she didn't know what was going on with it. However, she was probalby the best one to talk to about weapons with its own mind.

"Well.... I am ready when you are, we can do it right now."

Presuming the dark haired chunin was ready, Hikari would make the seal of Confrontation, and would start to absorb Valen into herself. If left uniterupted, the boy would soon find himself transformed into chakra, and absorbed in The Chestnut haired girl's chakra.

Valen remembered Shiroi, he had met her briefly before, she was...an odd one. But he could deal with odd. It warmed his heart to know the Hikari wouldn’t give up on him, but if he failed this he doubted anything left of his mind would be left. The sentience within the blade, Calin Yamato himself from centuries past would be in control once and for all. He would simply have to be put down like the dog he’d become if he lost. He acquiesce to her words though, he wouldn’t shatter the girls hope should he lose. He didn’t intend to after all, so it wouldn’t matter. He would nod his head, even if she didn’t acknowledge his words about dinner. He’d play it off with a grin later and ask her where she would want to go. “Let’s do this..” He would say before feeling himself become compressed. Due to the power of the girls chakra as she did this he would fall unconscious (Gotta get that part done somehow right?) before his body and all possessions were sealed within the girl.
