Helping Out Zombies

Zyxis sighed, rubbing at his eyes. After that last mission, all that traveling didn't physically tire him out per say, but he felt mentally exhausted. They had done a lot of things today, so it only made sense for the boy to be somewhat tired. He was only human, after all.  "I think we did enough missions today. We should head home." He held his out hand out, hoping Ryūka would shake it. To be honest, he found Ryūka as a truly good friend. He didn't know how far he would be in his Genin career currently without him. He made himself strive to be better at his jutsu, his social behavior, and everything really needed to become a ninja. They had their falling outs most times, but they were good friends.

"I'm truly grateful we got to do these missions together." If he shook, Zyxis would be content and head home with a shortwave. If not, he'd be disappointed, but still, head to HQ to get his funds an then head home. He appeared soon at headquarters, with the scrolls, Ryūka should still be behind him as well. He handed them over and gave a short nod, "All missions complete." The guy behind the desk smirked, "You two are a bunch of hard workers, huh? Great ninja in the making." He handed them both sealed envelopes, "There's your pay."

Zyxis grabbed it and looked at, his eyebrow raised. At this moment he had realized he didn't know what he wanted to spend it on. Maybe some new gear, or a weapon. He shrugged and put in his backpack. He handed Ryūka his own and then turned back to the man, "Thank you. Have a good day, sir."

He would then head out. He would give another wave to Ryūka and a short goodbye before he jogged home, a little cool-down from the day. He yawned as he entered the house and shut the door. He wobbled up the stairs and collapsed in his bed. He wondered if Ryūka would want to do missions again sometime? Maybe not. Zyxis wasn't the best person to do them with, he might be too quiet or not responsive enough. On the other hand, he was reliable and you could trust him to get the job done. Just from today, they had complete three missions quickly just by working with the two of them. He wondered what it would be like to be in a complete team with three people and go do missions. With a sensei, as well. He shrugged, he wouldn't know yet. He could only ponder.

Either way, he was ready for a nap.

"Sure, peace.". Ryūka sighed and warmed up. He sure was done with the missions for the day, but what he wasn't so sure about was what to do next. "Maybe I should go check out the bookstore..." Ryūka said, "There was this thing that I wanted to investigate about.".
