A Thief in Konoha! (Kizaru K./D rank Mission/NK)

Chuta watches as a man in all dark clothing started up the stairs. He was looking behind himself and had a paranoid aura about him, he must have caught on to the ninja around him. Chuta ducked behind an aisle inside the shop and waited for the man to continue up the way. Once he disappeared Chuta ran toward Gina nd his comrade.

He made it there just as the man was about to touch the seal.
“Stop right there.” Chuta said with a firm voice. “Who are you and what have you been doing?” Chuta would wait for his response.

Kizaru watched patiently as the suspected criminal walked up to the seal on the door. He was ready to confront the man but Chuta spoke first and made his presence known. Kizaru decided to wait and see what would happen. If the man freaked out and tried to run Kizaru would be ready to trip him with his puppet.

He readied his chakra threads and could send Mochi out on a moments notice. The suspect spun around quickly when he heard Chuta's voice. He seemed to be clutching a scroll in his hand. Kizaru figured it must be one of the stolen scrolls.

Without a doubt this was their target. Now all that was left to do was see how the criminal reacted to being confronted.

Noticing the scroll in his hand Chuta pointed, “I’d be willing to wager that is one of the missing scrolls from this morning. You need to stop stealing things.” With that the man turned and darted towards Kizaru. Chuta didn’t run after him, he knew his partner was right there, but he did began to walk. In the back of his mind he knew this was the guy, but were was the bike? What was the plan?

Suddenly the man hit the ground. Kizaru’s puppet seemed to fling the guys legs upward and out, causing his target to hit hard on his back. Chuta ran over and lifted the man’s hood. He didn’t recognize the face, but he could tell he was in pain.

“Ok. Ok.” He waved his hands in front of himself, begging for it to end. “You got me.”
“What have you been up to?” Chuta asked, “what are you planing?
“You don’t know how it feels, being trapped here. No one likes or cares about you... people only make fun of you”
Chuta could see now that he was a student at the academy.
“Where is the rest of the things you have stolen?” Chuta grabbed the kid by his collar.
“I sold the bike.” His face grimiest, “I have the 300 ryo in my pocket. I just wanna get outta here” he cried.

The culprit attempted to bolt away from Chuta the moment he heard him speak. Little did he know he was dashing right for Kizaru. With Mochi already threaded and ready he pulled the strings, launching the bat forward and toppling the fleeing man.

Not a moment after he fell was Chuta on him and questioning him. The man turned out to be a kid. An academy student at that. He seemed to be afraid and running from something.

"Out of where? Konoha?" Kizaru asked. He felt sorry for the kid but he had admitted to the crimes. It was a done deal and they would at least have to turn him in, no matter what the reasoning.

Chuta grabbed the kid and started to drag him to the prison, “yeah, we should let the investigation team take a shot at him. They can probably get to the bottom of it more effectively.” Chuta would guys the kid and gesture for Kizaru to follow.

Once at the prison and with the kid detained, “well, that was easy enough.” Chuta said. It was still daylight with plenty of time for him to run to the training ground for a quick workout before lunch. “I guess I’ll see you next mission Kizaru.”

The boy apparently suffered some pretty heavy bullying at the academy and wanted to escape the village. He sold the bike for quick cash and the scrolls to find out about the old escape tunnels. The two shinobi walked him to the local police house and dropped him off. 

Chuta went off to spend the rest of his day training and Kizaru went to go report the mission success. He figured he'd treat himself to lunch afterwards.
