Low-Effort Disappointment [solo, nk]

Kozai raised his eyebrows as he examined the large construct in front of him. It was a giant metal thing, looking like a horror out of a storybook. The engineering corps really had gone to town on this one. Large tubes and thick wires hung down from the ceiling, connecting to the machine, probably fueling it up. Kozai turned to the head engineer.

"You're serious, right? A giant robot?" The man seemed excited. Yeah, of course. No doubt he had always wanted to build a large, conspicuous robot. Kozai groaned internally. Creatives were always the same. No regard for practicality, always trying to fashion something from their hearts rather than their minds.

"Too big." The man's smile turned crestfallen.

"... are you sure? We can fit more weapons this way..." MORE weapons? Why not just make MORE smaller robots with the same material? Idiot.

"Konoha made more advanced versions of these years ago, and they were barely taller than ten meters. Try *harder*." Kozai walked away, leaving the dejected engineer and his crew behind. How on earth were they supposed to deploy that kind of machine within the city? Utter idiocy. It probably couldn't even turn corners all that well. Were there no considerations for combat at all? It would have done better as a statue than a weapon for the defense of the village. It seemed that things would be going more slowly than he wanted. Well, as the writers said, patience was a principal. Surely, he could wait longer.
