The Removal of a Heretic

Upon reaching the gates, Sebastian found himself in the presence of an arrogant young guardsman. Upon showing his identification the guard shook his head and laughed, “It looks like you were assigned a mission, exile.” The guard would open up the assignment packet and toss it to the young man, papers spilling out and to the ground. “Oh, my bad.” He would add with a hearty laugh. The young, dark haired wolf would pick up the papers and try to get them back in order as he looked them over. It looks like the church requested Loghain’s help in this matter specifically, likely because of the constant support and supplies the man had brought them. The paperwork was very clear as to what he was to do, but he wasn’t certain what the mission actually was.
 
“You are to wait at the gates to meet your handler, a shinobi by the name of Akaboshi Uzumaki.” And so the wolf would wait. It wasn’t long before a child bumped into the sizable man, bending over to pick something up. “You dropped this, sir.” The young child would say handing him a slip of folded up paper. The kid couldn’t have been older than six or seven, his short unkempt hair and large happy smile something the wolf took in heartily.
Opening the slip of paper, he would read it to himself, while waiting for his shinobi handler.

Red hair, leather jacket, a cigarette in one of his hands. Akaboshi Uzumaki, newly promoted Jounin of Hoshigakure was making his way to the village gates where he was expected to meet with a fellow shinobi to take care of a mission involving a religious matter. "Sounds somewhat familiar" he sighed upon reading the mission report. Upon finishing the content of said letter the redhead looked to his left where the individual mentioned in the report was standing. "Don't worry, we'll make sure nothing happens to you" the Uzumaki comforted the religious leader in need of protection and evacuation out of the village. Putting the piece of paper back into one of his side pockets, Akaboshi remembered the young man meant to accompany him on this mission. One of the perks of his newly promotion to Jounin was the fact he was able to read some personal files. "Sebastian Loghain, quite the interesting fellow it seems". Adjusting his flak jacket the red haired shinobi, followed by the person of interest, arrived at their location.

Having it made to the village gates, Akaboshi noticed the young man holding a piece of paper in his hands. "Good, at least he can read" the Jounin thought out loud, remembering some of the reports he read regarding the somewhat animalistic state that was mentioned in there. Before walking towards the dark haired individual, the Uzumaki would tell the religious man to give him a moment. "Please wait over there, I just need to check something". Getting a feeling something was off, and Akaboshi always trusted his gut, he slowly took a couple of steps towards the young man, keeping a ten meter distance between them. "Sebastian Loghain?" Of course he knew the man's identity, it was mainly to get a better view of the situation he was dealing with.

The slip of paper suggested… Just as this thought flashed through his mind, throbbing pain would be felt throughout his body. “RUN!” Would be all that he could shout before his own voice was lost, his thoughts suddenly thrust into a deep fog while he transformed. He was now a passenger in his own body…
Clutching his head, he would begin to grow, his limbs the first to extend creating the image of some sort of misshapen abomination. Next his torso would widen and his face would extend to a snout. Dark fur would now find itself were skin and clothes were just before. A howl would be released, the bellowing vocals being easily heard by everyone within several blocks. A large, toothy maw now grinned, looking about for prey. There were plenty of people in the area, most running about in panic. There was a red headed man and a priest close by, but the calling of his name didn’t even register. All he could thing about was… this hunger. The closest person was the boy with the large smile, the one just moments before Loghain wouldn’t ever consider harming. The child simply happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and if the boy was still within swiping distance a handful of sharpened claws would find its way to the boy’s gut grabbing hold and lifting the living sack of meat to the drooling mouth of the beast and with a single bite he would rip the boys throat out, blood soaking his fur and gushing from the wound in spurts as the heart did its job.
 
A growl would fill the area as the beast sought another target.

"So the rumors were true" Akaboshi said to himself as he witnessed Sebastian shifting. The Uzumaki remembered reading the young man's personal file and the mention of his .. condition. Perhaps that was the reason why the Jounin got chosen to be the high ranking officer on the mission since a Genin might not be able to deal with what would happen in the case of Sebastian going berserk and losing control over body and mind. No time to lose unless he didn't mind having the streets of Hoshigakure filled with blood, the redhead formed seven hand seals in quick succession. 

Still standing ten meters from Sebastian's position, Akaboshi would produce three chakra chains his clan was so famous for before shooting them out, aimed at the young man who by now had turned to face the bystander from moments ago in an attempt to attack him. Using the ideal momentum, as far as the situation could be called like that, the Jounin let his first chain pass the shifter, only to manipulate it in a way it would circle around the man's neck, binding him around his throat. One's natural reaction in a case like that would be to try and use your hands to get yourself free from your position, which was why Akaboshi shot a second and third chain, both respectively binding Sebastian's left and right arm in a means to calm the man down, hoping the transformation wouldn't last too long. Regardless of the berserk state the shifter was in, even his enhanced form wouldn't be able to break out of the chakra chains. In case Akaboshi needed more of his chains he made sure he was ready to prepare more of them if the situation called for it.

The beast was just out of range of the boy, and so when he turned to step into swiping range a chain made of chakra would lasso itself around the neck of the creature, restraining it from lunging forwards with a swiping motion towards the child. The experienced shinobi was correct in his assumption. An animal would try and tear off the restraints. This of course played right into the young man’s hand and two more chains would wrap around and bind the arms of the creature. The snarling beast would struggle pulling on the chains the chakra constructs too sturdy for the wolf to break free from. The beast would then shift its focus on the ninja causing the chains.
 
A snarl and then howl would be released, the creature trying everything in its power to dash towards the red head and tear the flesh from his face. It had no comprehension of what these chains were capable of, only that it had to rip and tear the shinobi before him limb from limb. If the chains were incapable of preventing his movement, the creature would thrust its bladed claws into the man, right under the sternum in an attempt to pull out his innards. Luckily for the Jounin, his technique should be more that capable of keeping the wolf at bay.
 
The priest would look on, stunned that this creature was one of the people assigned to protect him. Was this some sort of assassination attempt as well? Such would be a surprise, considering that his views on shinobi were positive. If anything, the more zealous members of the church hierarchy would be the ones sending assassins, not the shinobi…
 
The wolf would snap and bite towards the Jounin, clearly enraged even farther by being denied the meat of a fresh kill.

The situation developed just as he expected. His first salvo of chakra chains, three to be precise, successfully connected and restrained Sebastian. Having restricted the young man's movements, preventing him from potentially killing one of the bystanders while in his berserk state. Not only did the red haired Uzumaki save the life of the person standing there, he probably also saved Sebastian's. Akaboshi knew once his fellow shinobi got innocent blood on his hands the higher ups wouldn't look away. And it wasn't like there were many people who were already on his side in the first place and would probably love to see the "animal" be put down.

Enraged even further than he already was, Sebastian would change his target and attempt to attack Akaboshi. Clearly not able to think straight he forgot that he was left in Akaboshi's mercy, almost like a puppeteer using his strings. The Jounin allowed the enraged Sebastian to get just a little bit closer before shooting out an extra set of chains, aimed at his legs. Using the same principle of before, the redhead would let his chains wrap around the man's ankles, manipulating them in a manner which would cause him to sweep Sebastian off his feet, only not in a romantic way. Akaboshi simply hoped he wouldn't hit his head too hard, but maybe just enough to make him lose consciousness.

Pure, unadulterated rage and fury. That was all that the ravenous wolf could comprehend right now, the creature bearing its fangs towards the shinobi that dared leash the beast. The red haired Jounin was more than a match for the beast, and yet even though it was abundantly clear that he had lost there was no comprehension of this clearly known fact to the raging monster. All it could imagine was tearing the man limb from limb and feasting on his soft, warm innards bite by bite until his hunger was sated. The chains would be holding him back, preventing him from acting upon his desires.
 
More chains would then fire from the shinobi, two more aimed to restrain the legs. Once these found their way around his remaining limbs he would be completely restrained. Then with the same swiftness he had launched them he would rotate the massive creature, compromising its footing and sending it crashing down into the earth and rock. While such a fall wouldn’t normally cause much harm, a well placed stone on the ground would do its best attempt to soften the impact for the head of the wolf. It was safe to say that it failed in this endeavor and the eyes of the wolf closed, everything fading to black as consciousness slipped away.

A cowboy at a rodeo, that was how Akaboshi was feeling right now. His chains played the role of lasso while the enraged Sebastian could be considered the angry bull. His red hair symbolizing the color which usually infuriated the animal. With a swift movement of his chakra chains, the Uzumaki Jounin caused his target to lose balance, sending him down to the ground head first, hitting one of the rocks laying around. It seemed luck was on Akaboshi's side as he witnessed the berserker go down, completely knocked out with losing consciousness as a result. The red haired Uzumaki took it as a sign to cancel his technique considering there was no need to restrain Sebastian while being unconscious. 

In order to find out whether or not the man was out cold, Akaboshi slowly walked towards his direction. Not taking any unnecessary risks, you never knew when the berserker would wake up, the redhead safely kept his distance. Once he made sure any chance of possible danger got averted, the Hoshigakure Jounin had to start and think about his next course of action. "Hm, how should we handle this?" Pondering for the next couple of minutes before he finally came up with something, Akaboshi gave the sign to a shinobi standing nearby, giving him an order. Some time had passed when the man finally returned with what he asked for. A cart big enough to carry at least three people and a horse to pull them forth. It wasn't much but he had to improvise, the show must go on after all.

With the carriage as a means of transport, Akaboshi signaled the relgious leader to get on while the Jounin himself tied Sebastian up to make sure he wouldn't attack them once he'd wake up again. The Uzumaki couldn't predict whether or not the man would return to his usual self or still be in his berserk state. Having lost enough time already, the Jounin signaled the horse to start pulling the cart so they could finally be on their way.
