THE MARCH TOWARD CITIZENSHIP (FAUSTEIN) [COMPLETE]

It had been a while since Faustein had gone out on another expedition to try to find the "Hidden Sand Village"/"Sunagakure no Sato" since he had been busy with a list of client requests that only seemed to elongate with each passing day. However, this day was a rare exception since he had nothing to do in that regard as he had finished off all his jobs and satisfied all the clients as per the parameters of their respective requests. 

O great Verðandi and Skuld, ye Norns of the present and future, I beseech thee...on this day, please grant good fortune unto me...

Faustein muttered thus while offering up a melodramatic prayer to the powers on high as was his usual routine before starting anything monumental...not that he actually believed in any higher power other than that of science, of course. After that, he readied himself by donning his usual outfit with all the accessories therein that he used for both mission work and while engaging in his ongoing and ever-burgeoning mad science research. Then, he set off into the sand-dominated landscape of his current location, aka "Wind Country"/"Kaze no Kuni" to find Suna with the intention of convincing the gate guards to let him in and then persuading the current Kazekage to allow him to align himself with said hidden ninja village. It took him the better part of the day to do so due to the environmental difficulties as well as the well-hidden nature of the village gates, but at the end, all of his exploratory research efforts paid off and he finally ended up at the Suna village gates, aka two ginormous rocky cliffs called "The Cleft". Now all that remained was to meet the gate guards and convince them to allow him entry.

Sitting the Desk Musu pondered his existence. How did he always end up having to do guard duty? Weren't there other ninja around that should have been able to do this boring but important work. Musu had continued to adress his frustrations on the matter to the guard captain but it appeared as though the Kazekage had other plans for the Uzumaki Jounin.

Today was a quiet day with nobody else around when Faustein showed up. Eying him on the horizion he would sit up in his chair and wait for the boy to approach. Should the boy be willing Musu would review what paperwork he had and assist him in entering the village.

Faustein looked around and since he did not see any guards yet, he figured they were situated a little further in for safety sake. 

Ah there we go, looks like the Norns have decided to grace me with their blessing today after all.

Faustein smirked briefly while musingly silently thus and then headed inside to where he could see a desk with a Suna village ninja stationed, currently seated in his chair. So, he quickened his walking pace just a little and as he drew near, he brought out the necessary paperwork he had filled out some days prior and kept ready for this very momentous occasion. Soon, he was within earshot and before long, he reached the desk. One there, he decided to start things off in his usual business manner, aka with a cordial smile and he laid his paperwork on the man's desk. While doing so, he took off his glasses with his free hand and after stashing them in his coat pocket, he remarked in a matching cordial manner, revealing his voice to be an unusually rich baritone and melodious one, for his young age at a mere 19 years old and slight build anyway

"Hello there, slow day for you, eh friend? Well, you have my respect for taking such a tedious but ultimately necessary task in your stride and soldiering on, so please keep up the good work."

Faustein had already sorted the papers out according to the usual entry protocols to make the process as streamlined, efficient, and swift as possible, so he merely stood back and waited for the gate guard to review them and provide further instructions on what to do afterward.

The Fuuinjutsu Master of Sunagakure would stand as Faustein raced towards his location. It was time for Musu to do his job as much as he loathed it. The Boy would present himself quite professionally for a man that travelled far to get to the hidden sand village. At any point Musu was ready to unleash his defenses should the boy prove a threat. 

"Hello! How may I serve you?" The Uzumaki would say as the boy got within speaking distance.

Regardless his tone and conversation starter would make Musu raise an eyebrow. Somewhat well spoken with an attire to match it. Yet another aristocrat perhaps looking to exploit the village. Thoughts raced through Musu's head about the reasoning as to why the boy had travelled here but quite frankly it wasn't his decision to have an opinion on the matter. The boy would take out his papers as he talked and the Uzumaki Jounin would review them. The papers appeared to be in order enough but with the amount of missing ninja stationed in Sunagakure Musu couldn't really tell, and really didn't care, where he came from. As long as he would not become a problem there was really nothing Musu could do.

"It is what the Kazekage wills. Regardless of my thoughts on the matter I have no choice." Musu would say as he continued to review what information the boy had available. Musu would give the boy an ID card and log his information into the directory.

"You will need to keep this ID on you at all times while in Sunagakure. Failure to do so will lead to punishment. Depending on how long you intend to stay you may need to renew this ID card." Musu would say as he handed his paperwork back to the boy.

"Welcome to Sunagakure!" Musu would usher the boy in with a warm smile. Once the boy left sight Musu would sit back down and count the minutes until his tedious shift was over.

Faustein nodded sympathetically to the man who was working as the gate guard at "The Cleft" when he heard him remark that he did not really have a say in his gate guard mission since his kage's orders were absolute

"Indeed, the rules are the rules, after all. Nevertheless, your efforts are appreciated, I am sure, by Suna's denizens...both your shinobi and kunoichi comrades as well as civilian alike."

He remarked to the man while awaiting the completion of the review of his village entry paperwork. Thankfully, he did not have to wait long at all as the man turned out to be rather efficient at his job, tedious though it seemed to be for him. In due course, his paperwork was reviewed fully and Faustein was granted permission to enter Suna in the form of his ID after which his information was logged in the entry book by said gate guard. The man also gave him explicit instructions to keep the ID with him at all times and then ushered him into the village's confines. 

"Thank you for the welcome and the instructions which I will make sure to bear in mind. Good luck to you with the rest of this assignment and see you around, friend."

After thanking the man for his welcome, Faustein bade the man adieu with that same cordial smile on his thin, cyanotic lips and then left "The Cleft" aka the Suna Gates after which he headed into the village proper, his next goal being of course, a meeting with the current Kazekage to officially request permission to align himself with Suna henceforth.
