Oh gosh. Was this a sore spot for Saya? It certainly felt like it. She knew some of the kunoichi’s history with her family, but not the full nitty gritty details of it- and something told her from this reaction that this was hitting her in all the weak points. Was she a Senju? A Tass? Or something in between? Something told her that even Saya wasn’t sure of which she was in this moment. But what could she really offer here? Unfortunately, that was only so much.
Staying quiet after her comment fell upon unresponsive ears, she woul admire the wristlets upon her arms. How they hung, the way light glinted upon stone, how it framed against her wrists. How did they feel? Like ornaments, like armor? Or perhaps like shackles? What did they mean to her? What could they represent to her, given time? Items filled with sentiment, filled with emotions, held a power far beyond their practical applications when in the possession of the right figure.
She blinked- and suddenly she was being shown the door. Well, that was an unfair way of putting it. Ultimately, Saya was right- this was a private affair now, and it was high time that she had shown herself the door. Hopefully a moment like this would be beneficial for them both, both in terms of personally growth but the development of their relationship with one another. Giving her a gentle smile, she would head for the elevator. “You’ve got it Saya. And don’t be a stranger, okay? You know where I live, after all.”
The door would slowly close behind her, leaving them in privacy. And just like that, a singular defining moment in a series of events would quietly end.
