Kamigawa Headwaters...

Kamigawa Headwaters...
Zeo puffed at his pipe... and before one thinks it was smoke, he wasn't that crass. He didn't smoke tobacco-- as the end of the small pipe produced bubbles that floated into the air. Another person would think it was childish, foolish to bother blowing a bubble pipe, as flimsy as a paper mache kunai. Stillit was something else entirely. Zeo had grown to use the art of bubble ninjutsu and dedicated to it, ever since he learned such bubbles could be used for ninjutsu and other forms of ninja aids. He had studied and came up with ideas of his own to improve the art.
But more so, it was a nice relaxation tool. Since he was young, his father blew bubbles, and Zeo would watch him do some funny tricks with it. He would see his father use ninjutsu on the bubbles, making them take funny shapes like cats, stars, or squares. Zeo didn't realize it back then, but he knew his parents would have been trained ninjas t o use the ninjutsu they had. His past was becoming clearer to him, but it still left many questions.
He waited in the shade of a tree, on a hill that overlooked the general lake area and training grounds further away. Zeo preferred the more rural area near the lake than anywhere else. He had more freedom and space to use the waters and the best place for him to focus. The air was soon littered with several bubbles floating into the air as he waited, expecting company soon. He always arrived far earlier than he should.
He was waiting for his friend, comrade and potential teammate-- Enishi. They had fought eachother as fellow Hoshigakure shinobi in the chunin exams. Though Zachary lost to him, and harbored a bit of jealousy to him-- they both bonded in the hospital having gotten to know one another. Now, also Zeo despite his failure to beat him, earned the rank of Chunin himself and now discovered something else...
... during the heat of the Chunin exams, his dorment power was awakened. He discovered he and his family had a Kekkei Genkai, one of his own. After studying others so much, he was both thrilled and scared to learn he had his own unique bloodline trait. However, the eyes, the powers he invoked-- he had no clue how they triggered or how to control them. They frightened him more than pleased him. It seemed, that while Enishi had his own similar problems, he offtered to help-- to help Zeo unravel the mystery behind his powers and how his family used them. In the end, Zeo wanted the truth and had to discover the means to find it.
Zeo took a deep breath as he blew out more bubbles, as they lazily followed the wind currents out into the air, popping far away from the distance. There he waited, sitting at the base of the tree for Enishi to arrive. The plan was that they learn about each other's Kekkei Genkai together. Zeo would help Enishi understand his berserker power, or what the truth was, his ability to absorb natural energy... and Enishi would try to help Zeo understand how his own abilities worked and what they were.
Truth was, Zeo probably would be better help for Enishi, than he could be to understand his own. Enishi's was well documented and heard of-- while Zeo's power was unknown. No where in his studies, did he find a doujutsu that resembled his own in ability, or appearance from what he was told it looked like. He had yet to look into a mirror yet to see it. For the moment, Zeo waited allowing his mind to wander like the bubbles did, drifing away like a dream.
His abilities as a shinobi were all grown by his own efforts and mind. He was well respected and considered a 'genius' for his inventive mind in ninjutsu. However, he had no idea what his own Kekkei Genkai was capable of. But it was why he was there. To finally understand how it worked and how to use them right.
All he had to do was wait for Enishi to arrive...

Re: Kamigawa Headwaters...

The past few weeks - rather the past month - has been quite the eventful time for the newly promoted understudy; from the beginning of the Chuunin Exams to the fearsome and rigorous Written Exam, to the Bell Test where participants who passed the Written Exams would have to face against high ranked shinobi hailing from the Land of Haven and to cap it all off, a fierce and bloodthirsty Tournament Bracket where only the strongest would survive. Many fought and many lost to achieve the title of Chuunin, and more subtly, the title of "The Strongest Genin in the World" obfuscated by the allure of gaining a new rank and being able to showcase one's potential in front of hundreds and thousands of onlookers. Ultimately, Enishi passed the Written Exam with high scores, defeated Arashi Tekiatsu in the Bell Test, narrowly bested his teammate - Zeo Kamigawa, and was so close to tasting victory - only to be gouged by the Arrow of Crushing Hope that was Gin Akimichi. Recovery was quite a stagnant time for the young Sage, forcing Enishi who was still in dour spirits to learn how to move his body again after being paralyzed from head to toe by Gin's poisonous arrow - the shinobi equivalent of physical therapy. At least the nurses were somewhat hot...
No matter how much he utterly sought vengeance against the wily Akimichi...Enishi knew he was bested fair and square, which only irritated him to no end. He didn't realize it yet, but he slowly realized that even as cerebral and level-headed as he was...he was still prone to lapses of immaturity. The Jugo heir felt as though his pride was spat on by losing to Gin far too early, which made his time in the hospital all the more confining. Not to mention that the moment he awoke from his nigh-comatose slumber. one of the hot nurses informed him that his surrogate - no, true father, passed away during the timeframe of his slumber. Hearing the news that the person who saved him from a life of inflicting pain and suffering upon others died...nearly broke the understudy, heh...there was no need for his role as an understudy anymore, the "main actor" was no longer in the picture. Now, this would pose the question: what was the purpose of a tool that had no use anymore? What happens when a tool loses its use?
Enishi couldn't answer that question, not yet anyway.
Suguru Kurosawa, noble doctor, Jounin, and public servant of the noble Kurosawa Family entrusted Enishi with the key to his studies. From Nature Energy to the history of Hoshigakure, chemical elements that could be fused to create a variety of antidotes and narcotics, prized weapons, armors, relics, and books of the past - all could be found in the Hidden Laboratory in the Kurosawa Estate, through the use of an underground key that only Enishi had in possession. Of course - self-deprecating as he was, Enishi couldn't accept all of this honor of Suguru entrusting all of his life's work to his son who was just about fifteen years old - nearing sixteen this year. All he could do was wallow in his depression, letting the demons of his past eat him from the inside... until he talked to a certain boy once again.
Zeo Kamigawa, his teammate, friend, and rival - rose his spirit once again. They crossed paths in the hospital, making amends with one another, betting to become stronger so that they could face each other in a fight with absolutely no limits; Enishi also made a declaration to Zeo that they would venture outside of the Haven Country, and advance to the Land of the River, finding out the truth behind the destruction of Zeo's village... The Sage of Pleiades was most likely talking out of his ass, as he had NO WAY of convincing Ayato so that they would gain permission to leave Hoshigakure without being branded as Rogue Nin, and there was also the fact that Enishi had never actually been outside of the Haven Country ever in his life...
Well, there is a first time for everything.
If the two wanted to investigate what happened on that fateful day, then strength would be primary goal to convince the Hogokage that they were strong enough to take care of themselves during their journey. That being said, the two arranged a training session to take place in the Water Gardens so that they could understand their abilities completely. So, Enishi would head to Water Gardens to meet up with Zeo. Today, the Sage decided to adorn a grey jacket with dark red and light grey details, grey pants, and black boots, and fingerless gloves. His jacket was left unbuttoned at the end to reveal a belt, which an emblem of Hoshigakure was attached to. He wore short gloves that exposed his wrists. He also adorned a red banner that goes across his chest and over his left shoulder, which changes from red to black to symbolize the shift between day and night - Yatagarasu from Shiratori. A symbol of his pedigree from the clan of berserkers, a red mask resembling that of a Shinigami was pulled to the left side of his head. On his right and left arms held his left and right trusty sealing bands that held countless weapons, akin to infinite storage. However, Enishi also held a scroll gripped with great force in his right hand...for what the scroll had?
That would be a secret only to be revealed soon.
Arriving at the Water Gardens, it seemed as though there was a fair amount of people in the main area; knowing how Zeo was, preferring to be in areas of training where there weren't a large number of people, Enishi headed to the same place he trained with his friend prior to the Chuunin Exams. The Jugo advanced on top of a hill that had a tree in the center, thankfully, that would be where Zeo was at that moment, blowing bubbles from his trusty pipe. Enishi had to admit, that was a pretty nifty ability, nearly wanting to beg the Kamigawa to teach him how to learn such a versatile technique...especially since those bubbles of him nearly knocked him out hundreds of times in their Chuunin Exam duel if it wasn't for his Damage Reduction Shield. "Hehehe..." Enishi sweatdropped and let off a nervous chuckle in his mind, thinking about how many times he would have just been bodied in their fight if he didn't have - for a lack of a better word - overpowered defense. Nevertheless, he'd regain himself, just about done walking up the hill to meet Zeo.
As he strode towards his friend, Enishi would raise his non-occupied left hand to wave and release a soft grin to get his attention as he walked over to him; Zeo would most likely notice the strange scroll in his right hand...but Enishi didn't need to showcase the demonic thing he had within it until the observant Kamigawa asked him directly.
"What's up, Zeo?"

Re: Kamigawa Headwaters...

Zeo watched the bubbles float by, trying to calm his own building enxiety. Despite his calm demeanor, he wasn't sure where his future was heading. Though he was now a Chunin, a new rank of ninja and a step forward in the path of one, he still had many questions. To him, not much had changed. He still didn't even have a team. He didn't know how things would change outside of his place in Hoshigakure, but he knew he had to learn more about his own heritage and power. That was a good a start as any...
As the bubbles drifted into the air, he soon sensed the arriving presence of someone. Either by sound or the movement of air and bubbles, he could tell his expected friend had arrived. Zeo turned as he lowered his bubble pipe to see Enishi arrive, dressed more casually and looking more lively than he used to be. In his hand he had a scroll with him-- of what, he wasn't sure of. After a moment, Zeo pushed himself up off the ground and faced the approaching Chunin.
"Good morning, Enishi," Zeo replied calmly, a soft yawn escaping him as he worked to rouse his mind. As he recovered he waved at Enishi himself casually. "I hope coming out here wasn't too much trouble."
Though it was Zeo's idea and insistence, it was a lot for both boys to admit and brave to handle their new training. He soon took notice to the scroll in Enishi's hand, curious about what he was holdingg on to. "What's the scroll for?" He asked, curious himself. "But if you are willing, we can probably start with your abilities. You'rs has been more documented so I think that be easier for us to start with you." he explained.
Zeo had a few scrolls on him himself-- mostly some dictionary or critical information he took with him wherever he went in his storage pack behind his belt. Stuff he could show Enishi about his own clan he dug up. The same details he used to study up him before the Chunin Exams. Either way, he had to see how Enishi felt before they pressed forward.

It appeared that Zeo was also somewhat lethargic, probably due to having to wake up this early in the morning to get to the training grounds. The understudy could somewhat understand that feeling, having to wake up early in the morning to get to someplace before it would get crowded; because of that, Enishi's sleep schedule was pretty...abnormal. 5:00 AM for him was like 9:00 AM for everyone else, because of that, he'd wake up around 5 or 6 in the morning to get ready for whatever he was about to do. In return...he'd need to go to sleep around 9 or 10 at night to sustain the level of morning production he took pride in having. Nevertheless, Enishi was a very diligent and intelligent adolescent - even with Suguru gone - he never lost value in having a good night's sleep. He hoped Zeo wasn't the type to overwork himself like the Jugo once did in his first few years of living in Hoshigakure.
Adorning his more casual attire and using a pipe to shoot out a wide variety of iridescent water bubbles that revealed a more free-spirited and somewhat childlike side of Zeo, the Kamigawa would be at complete ease and harmony as Enishi approached him with a wave. If the Sage remembered correctly, that pipe and bubbles that Zeo was casually releasing resembled the jutsu he used to nearly defeat the auburn-haired Chuunin during the Chuunin Exams...once again cementing the fact that Enishi would have lost had the circumstances been a lot different. "HALLELUJAH THANK GOD ALMIGHTY FOR DR SHIELD!!!" A rather comedic yell of relief washed over the understudy's thoughts, realizing the jutsu Suguru taught him just before the exams practically carried him. Regardless of the internal warfare of broken pride that was occurring deep in the depths of the understudy's thoughts, Zeo began to speak, snapping him back to reality. He began with the usual pleasantries of course - even asking about the scroll Enishi was holding, but thankfully enough, he immediately got into the meat of the situation.
Controlling their bloodlines...
"So we're starting with my clan first," An instinctual smirk came to the understudy's expression - his auburn hair flowing downwards - deep in thought as he thought about how to proceed. "As you have most likely have found in your research, I guess I hail from a clan of Sages - naturally able to absorb the natural energy in the environment; when too much natural energy is absorbed, those who carry the Curse of Sages can enter a berserk state where they attack everything in sight until their nature energy is completely exhausted." A bitter smile appeared on Enishi's expression as he summarized the crux of the Jugo Clan - or as he liked to call them, the Cursed Sages, forced to live a life where they would be branded as monsters for being born. Closing his eyes, however, the sapphire blue eyes of the understudy would reopen in a flash of resolute blue! "But, just like anything else, there's a way to control this power...when a Sage reaches the highest state of being, by mind, body, and spirit being in equilibrium - they have fully gained control over the curse they were born with... I'm sure you heard of it. It's a state that even those outside of the clan can use if they mastered it enough..."
At that moment, a burst of cloaked blue chakra would spiral and swell around Enishi - similar to that of a waterfall that was cascading in a fixed motion, his eyes - shining blue as well, would have his gazed fixed on Zeo as well, showing his a mere segment of this newfound power he attained. "This is Sage Mode...although a partial activation of it." The understudy said with a modest gaze before deactivating the cloaked aura in a burst of blue, "Ever since we were promoted to Chuunin and I took on this new appearance by the hands of that man - Vanear Hoshimura, the sword that he put on me removed any...limiters that I had in my chakra system that was blocking me from learning how to control my natural energy...Though, I know that something is blocking me from tapping into the full extent of my chakra. I have my curse mastered to the point that I no longer go berserk from daily occurrences, however, in the heat of battle - where I MUST have to use this state...you say that I'm not a monster right Zeo? Heh, I fear that there is a day where I have to become one...and I won't be able to go back." Enishi managed to keep a calm smile on his expression, but his hands were shaking - drenched in sweat.
He was scared of himself.
Quickly, the Sage would return to his usual cheerful demeanor, "Ah! But don't worry, I'm no longer a danger to others anymore, so I can train to master this power without any threat of going berserk and attacking those around me. So I think that's it for me right now, now it's your turn." A small smirk would appear on the autumn-haired boy's expression, unraveling his right scroll in a tedious fashion as he continued, "Your power is very interesting, nothing that I have studied before. Your eyes...can perceive intentions similar to the Sharingan of the Uchiha Clan, you can perceive chakra similar to the Byakugan of the esteemed Hyuuga Clan, but you also have the ability to call on spirits - legends of the past. You were able to see glimpses of my past by mere contact, you can also see shadows of the dead whether you will it or not." His summary was cutthroat and rather accurate, switching to "Detective Enishi" as many people liked to call it. "That's why...I've arrived at this conclusion. If the Byakugan can see the present, and if the Sharingan can see the future, then surely - your eyes can see the past."
In front of Zeo, unsheathed from the scroll would be a bandaged greatsword with two handles and a cord. In an instant, the bandages would unravel in a burst of chakra - nearly enough to blow a few flowers and plants back, revealing...a famed sword that told many tales, yet none that could be fully described. A blade of myth, a blade of purpose, a blade...of the past. Outstreching it towards Zeo, the prized sword of Kirigakure would be brandished in front of him to touch.
"This is Hiramekarei - the Seventh Sword of the Mist, wielded by many - even the Mizukage. Yes, I wield it now. This blade holds many tales, and to test my theory on your bloodline - please touch it, if you can see the past."

"Well, unlike mine, yours has been around more, or rather there is more known about it," Zeo explained as he tried to ease into things. "I know more about how yours work and it was actually a fascinating to study. Far more than what I had time for during the chunin exams. "
He was about to explain himself, b ut the Jugo was well ahead of him. He knew his origin enough to understand the power he gathered-- was natural chakra. Aka Sage Energy. That in turned, is what made Zeo study the art of "Sage Jutsu" and Sage Arts from the library. It was then that Enishi not only explained it perfectly, he displayed it in a new jutsu right before Zeo's eyes. He dropped his scroll with the Jugo info, dumbfounded to see Enishi conjure such a powerful sage power instantly. The use of sage power plus his talk about being a monster-- again-- made Zeo frown.
"Well, glad to know you knew just as much as I did, making my study utterly pointless for the most part..." Zeo grumbled a bit as he sighed. It wasn't a total loss but here Zeo went to all that trouble to do extra research to help Enishi and he knew it all already. Figured. It was clear Zeo was dissapointed by that. "Well better a monster than being dead. You did know that if anyone outside of YOUR bloodline were to absorb as much nature energy as you do, they'd die right?"
That was not something Enishi said or stated, so Zeo figured he had more to explain. "Yes, your power is nature chakra-- which is coveted and rare. Normally nature energy or nature chakra could only be gained by being absolutely still and immobile. It requires that same state and stillness to gather that energy. However... if anyone else got that overflow of nature energy, they start to turn to stone or just up and die. YOU only went berserk, which burned off that excess energy. If anything, going berserk was saving your life."
Zeo's explanation was blunt but true. He studied enough to wonder if he too would consider picking up sage jutsu himself. It was possible for anyone to learn but took years to master. "Anyway I'm glad you got it under control... but you really should stop calling yourself a monster. Monster is subjective in the end..."
And once again, the spotlight was on Zeo on his little quirks, which made him hesitate again...
It was actually surprising to see how much Enishi was impressed and curious about Zeo's own Kekkei Genkai. It helped lighten up his hesitation too. He suspected he could see intension like the Sharigan, chakra like both Uchiha's and Hyuuga' clans eyes, but further more. Zeo paused at the explanation a bit. "I think that may be oversimplifying it. I'm not a hundred percent sure what I'm seeing. Yes, I think seeing chakra is spot on, but its different from what I feel. When I see and look at it, it feels, different. Different shades, quality, patterns, its like looking at art and how I feel about it... it's hard to describe," Zeo explained hesitantly, casting his gaze away as he remembered the visions he saw in the hospital. "As for the 'shades' I saw in the hospital, i'm not really sure what I was seeing. "
The description of the fact his eyes, exclusively, could see the past-- almost made Zeo cringe a bit. "Seems kind of odd for a power, isn't it? I mean, I can understand seeing the future and how that can help in battle. But it feels kind of useless, to see the past, doesn't it?" Zeo asked.
The truth was, it wasn't. Perhaps it was Zeo trying to make it less than it was or nervous of his own power-- but Enishi would have to prove to Zeo the ability to see into the past, was anything but useless.
It was then that Enishi opened his scroll and soon with a puff of smoke, and a blow of chakra that made his kimono waft in the wind-- revealed one of the legendary seven swords of the mist. His eyes widened at the rare item, one of the most powerful of swords. "T-that's one of the legendary seven swords of the mist?! How did you..." he asked, baffled and amazed. He had taken an interest in legendary ninja tools himself but never thought he would see one.
However, Enishi wanted to test Zeo's abilities-- by having him hold the sword himself. Zeo bit his lip and let out an exasperated sigh of reluctance. "I... don't know," he said, taking a step back from the sword. Impressive as it was, he didn't know what he would see when he touched it. "Enishi, I have no control when and how I get those visions. Sometimes it happens when I touch something. Sometimes it happens all on its own. Plus there is no way I can just turn it on like flicking a switch. "
When Zeo touched Enishi, he witnessed a tragic moment of his past when people were mobbing against him for his appearance when he lost control. It was traumatic to Enishi, and traumatic to Zeo to see a friend suffer like that. With all the history in the sword, there was a good chance it was the center of great carnage and death. He had no clue what he would see.. and that frightened him a bit.

Re: Kamigawa Headwaters...

"Hmm, I see." The inquisitive reply was a response to Zeo's explanation of the tendency of the Jugo Clan to enter a frenzied berserk-like when too much natural energy is absorbed in a single instance, forcing them to exude in it some sort of way. Normally, for those who don't possess the latent bloodline of the Sages, if one passively absorbed too much natural energy, then they would turn to stone; that itself was evident if one read any study based on natural energy found in Hoshigakure's Archives, however, Zeo had a far more interesting take on the differences between the Jugo Clan and any normal human. It was Enishi's curse that claimed so many lives during his rampages - the curse that inadvertently killed the only woman who loved him as a son in the world, that saved the understudy in the end. If the Sage of Pleiades wasn't born a Sage, then he would have died moments after his death for absorbing too much natural energy. In a cruel twist of fate, the curse he hated, was the curse that saved him. "Why me?" The understudy plainly mused internally as a mere afterthought; there was no semblance of ire or sorrow that spurred the rumination, but it was still...a question. Why was he, one of the millions of people who inhabited the world - chosen to be part of a clan whose only form of sustenance is to slaughter others in ruthless bloodshed? This...was just too cruel. Despite knowing that and having researched the intricacies of the Jugo clan, Zeo still had the utter determination to say that Enishi was indeed not a monster, but that it was...subjective?
"Ridiculous."
Shortly after, the understudy would still proceed to explain his predictions with nigh suffocating accuracy concerning the information of Zeo's bloodline. He remembered their fight distinctly; that ghost of the lake - He-Bo, the luminescent eyes of Zeo...this wasn't some sort of odd derivative of the Uchiha, Hyuuga, or even the Hoshimura clan vested in Hoshigakure. It was another beast entirely. Zeo didn't understand much of his bloodline - which was fine, it seemed to be relatively undiscoverable. That was why he revealed the famed blade of Hiramekarei - right in front of the sapphire-haired Chuunin, for him to touch. The Kamigawa was of course, flabbergasted at Enishi possessing such a famed weapon which pained the autumn-haired Chuunin a tiny bit. "So...it is the genuine artifact. Why did you devote your time...to recover an instrument of killing, father?" Nevertheless, the Kamigawa was unconfident in his abilities - nothing that his ability to see spirits and call upon the past wasn't something that he could activate on a whim. Heh, it was quite similar to Enishi's abilities, which spurred a lightbulb in the Jugo's mind. "We share the same pain; our bloodlines are something we can't control, yet we yearn to understand and channel our powers into a force for good," He analyzed as Zeo spoke, "...Is that why you hate it when I call myself a monster? If you admit to me being a monster...heh, it's as if you also admit to yourself that you are also a freak because you haven't fully understood nor controlled your bloodline. You wish to fight your vices...I accept them wholeheartedly. That's the coward's way out, isn't it? But, even still, if I try to fight against my bloodline, I'll eventually end up trying to reach self-perfection which is utterly impossible to attain! I'll become a shell of myself, spewing poison and curses as I go! I'll become...a monster! But if I accept my vices as I've always had, others will pity me, as you have! If I fight, I hurt others! If I don't fight, I'll hurt others as well! What's the fucking point?! Where's the salvation?! Where am I supposed TO GO, GODDAMN IT?!"
In the internal strife of Enishi, his expression still maintain composed, ending his monologue with a deep breath after Zeo spoke his concerns of the plan. The two were great friends, and so, they should be able to rely on each other when the time is needed. The understudy didn't need any grand speeches or any encouraging or rousing words, simply facts. "Who controls the past, irrevocably, controls the future. Your ability has the power to save lives, destroy lives, control lives, control the future, and control the irreversible conundrum we call 'time.' I won't claim to know the exact extent of what you're going through, nor will I say 'just do it bro', but I will say that your ability...doesn't inherently cause pain to others, it can help others given your heart...I think that's a good thing. The first step is always the toughest one, but after that, we can slowly start to unpack your bloodline." Enishi's pleasant and nigh angelic smile appeared again, hope emanating through him as if his monologue beforehand didn't happen.
Only a single phrase was needed, to speak to Zeo's heart.
"Believe in yourself, my friend."

Re: Kamigawa Headwaters...

Zeo felt uneased but Enishi's words about how the past was important did ring some truth to him. He didn't think it was viable but he could be wrong. But it wasn't just about combat in the end, and that was where his eyes' strength lied. He remembered times when he triggered them subconsciously. It helped him find an enemy location, sense the intentions of others... his eyes were an asset, not a vice on him. He had to embrace this side of his eyes too.
Enishi's words to "Trust Him" was the biggest push as he held out the sword. Zeo took a deep breath and raised his hand, leaning closer to the extra handle of "Hiramekarei". With a final breath, he reached and held on to the extra handle. Nothing happened at first, but then he felt a strong pull at his mind-- and his vision grew foggy. For a brief moment, his Uchugan kicked in-- and he soon was wisked off into his vision.
Zeo soon regained his senses standing in a room. THe room was round with other people in it. People he didn't recognize-- at least till sooner than he got a gander at their hats. Each one wore one-- of a different element symbol and color. It didn't take long for him to see them, they were kage's. The five kage, all assembled in the hall representing each of their nations. His gaze soon came to a young man, standing beside a woman who wore the hat of the Mizukage. He wore a pair of glasses, with light blue hair and a rather lean build. He looked unimpressive, but on his back he wielded the sword. However, there was another in the room-- someone upside down.
Zeo looked up to see the man there, a young man with black hair, intense disposition and red eyes-- sharigan eyes!
"It can't be..." Zeo gasped as he witnessed the event unfold. "This was the kage summit before the Forth ninja war... "
"Danzo's escaping!" A red haired woman cried out.
It was in those moments the Mizukage spat out a wall of searing lava. Zeo braced himself, in the midsts of the fight, but the attack just passed right through him. He was a ghost to all this, a witness to the past. There was nothing he could interact with, and nothing that could touch him in there.
it was then he saw the young man with Hiramekarei jumped forward. "Hiramekarei-- Release!!" He roared, causing the bindings on the blade to unwind, revealingg a massive amount of chakra, and the blade itself transformed into a hammer-like shape.
"So this is Hiramekarei's abilities... and that man was the one who wielded the blade?"
Zeo watched as the man slammed the Uchiha, donned in a strange eitheral ribcage armor-- and sent him flying into the lava wall-- which sent him to the other side.
"Lady Mizukage... please be careful..." he said to the woman .
It was then Zeo's vision started to fade as light engulfed the room-- and Zeo felt him being pulled back to the present.
Zeo snapped his eyes open, and his eyes returned to their normal color. He looked at Enishi, surprised by what he saw. "Whoh... that was... intense... " Zeo gasped as he collected himself, taking a step away from the sword just to get his senses back. "I saw a moment from the past... back during the Kage summit. The sword was there, and it was used to attack an invader... an uchiha..." Zeo said.
He never knew what transpired, but he just witnessed it all... b ecause the sword was there, in the hands of a powerful representative to the Mizukage. This made his mind reel. He saw a secluded moment with all five kage present. His eyes... it was awe-inspiring. He couldn't control what he saw, but he saw more than he hoped for. "This is insane. If you're right... i could uncover secrets long withheld from the rest of the world. But still, this sword, if I recall was in the presence of the Mizukage herself-- the forth Mizukage. "
Enishi would take interest in that no doubt.

Re: Kamigawa Headwaters...

A small smile escaped the understudy as Zeo appeared to understand the words of his friend; a slight nudge of his Berserker mask strapped to the right side of his head as well as the jerk of a nod was enough of a response to show Enishi's gratefulness at his friend's determination. It wouldn't take long before the Kamigawa inhaled and exhaled - preparing himself to utilize the true power of his inner strength similar to how a river braces itself to become a waterfall. In that split second, the river would shorten - as if contemplating the correct avenue approach the sudden change, but soon, it would burst in a rapid display of resolve! Zeo - reminiscent of his surname - would act the same, rushing to grasp the famed blade of Hiramekarei with the grip of resolution - absolutely resolved in what he was about to do next. Immediately, his eyes flashed the eerie yet sparkling blue, resembling that of his eyes during the heat of the Chuunin Exams for a brief moment. Enishi was still...healthily frightened of his eyes, but in a good way. He didn't fear Zeo, but rather, he was amazed at the potential the Kamigawa had to become strong in his own way...and what was the Sage feared. "What if this power...came into the wrong hands? They would be able to twist history however they wished. The present and the future are nothing without the past...and if someone is freely able to access that however, they wish. Hehe, now I see why this clan is so fearsome." A truly terrifying thought, but Enishi would shake that off, looking at Zeo for a brief moment who seemed to be in his own fairy tail land. Good.
What appeared to be minutes of intensity for Zeo, was only a second of placidity for the young Sage of Pleiades.
Zeo's eyes snapped back open like a clamshell, his eyes reverting to his usual shade of normalcy - however, those eyes told a new story...it seemed that a lot had happened. It wasn't one of shock or disgust because Enishi half worried that Hiramekarei's tale would be shrouded in blood, gore, and murder, however...Zeo seemed more intrigued if anything. Apparently, there was an Uchiha...invader during a Kage Summit? Not only that, but Zeo said that this blade was in the possession of the Fourth Mizukage - a she? But...that would mean...
"That means...Hiramekarei is at least a few centuries old." Enishi's sharp detective mind instantly connected the dots. "The Kirigakure that we know in legend is probably the area where Hiramekarei was created and kept as an heirloom for future Kage to use. We know this "Kirigakure" as 'Old Kirigakure' because of the fact that it was destroyed many years ago. During the centuries that 'Old Kirigakure' thrived, that was most likely when Hiramekarei was used, and when that 'Fourth Mizukage' was in office, that was when that invader hailing from the Uchiha clan...tried to attack a Kage Summit. This makes the most amount of sense because the current Mizukage of 'New Kirigakure' - which is founded in the Island Country as opposed to the Water Country - is the third. A Fourth Mizukage cannot exist in the present. That means, this event you saw - occurred over hundreds upon hundreds of years ago..." Man, this was getting crazy as fuck! You barely hear about this type of stuff in even the most accurate of textbooks due to information being lost throughout the years, but Zeo - being able to tap into such a useful ability...this could change the world. The information would never be lost, history...would be able to be preserved. "...Amazing. Your ability is something else." Enishi said with an encouraging smirk towards the Kamigawa.
"Though, I have to say...what kind of idiot tries to invade a Kage Summit? I guess his Sharingan couldn't 'see through' that kind of stupidity, hehe."

He had to admit, the vision wasn't as scary as he thought it would be. It was awe-inspiring, still loss in the feeling of it. He felt like he was actually there. WHile a ghost, he was there all the same. He felt as if he could touch things there, hold something and yet, he was merely a witness to the events before him.
It was Enishi's excited rambling that soon made Zeo realize he was thrilled by this. Zeo was able to witness events lost to history. There was nothing he couldn't see-- nothing lost to time that he couldn't witness with the right aid. His enthusiasm and encouragement put Zeo at a loss for words for a bit. He glanced away shyly as he rubbed the back of his neck in a modest gesture. "Um... wow, thanks. I mean it's hard to really tell. The vision lasted briefly. But it was strange. It wasn't like I was merely observing events unfold. It felt like I was there... but a ghost. I couldn't interact with anything but it felt real enough... Like how a shadow clone's experience feels. " Zeo expressed as best as he could.
Looking to the legendary sword, he resolved to try again. "Let me try again... this time, I'll aim to watch on longer. I was only in the vision for a few minutes but..." He soon held on to the hand of Enish holding his own handle of the sword, while Zeo took hold of the second handle. His intention wasn't to cause what happened, but Zeo soon focused, and his eyes glowed with the Uchugan's starry gaze once more. This time, the vision blurred and flickered-- but so did Enishi's this time.
Because he was in contact with Enishi, he too was starting to be drawn in as the vision started...
His vision cleared as he soon found himself in a misty area. There were little landmarks or places to tell but from what Zeo 'felt', he was standing on a watery surface. Surface walking? He wasn't channeling chakra to do it but he stood there all the same. It felt forign for him, but he soon heard it. The clashing of blades and steel. He peered into the mist to see it--- two young boys, clashing swords!
One was a blonde boy with kunai, fighing off a younger man-- a mist shinobi with white hair. However, he was now the one holding the legendary sword. Another wielder, from another age... a successor. Despite the fight, the two seemed almost sad. They were friends, and soon Zeo heard it all. The torn state of their friendship, the struggles they faced-- and soon it became far more complicated. The sword held the memories of each of its battles-- in this case, one of turmoil but companionship between allies. Soon it became even more in depth as more joined the fray-- a young man with white hair and yellow eyes, and even a strange shark guy wielding another sword while the wielder of Enishi's new sword, was prone in self defeat. It was a lot to take in.
"A war ... a coup to start a war and those who fought to stop it from happening..." Zeo breathed.
But then he soon sensed someone else there and turned-- to realize Enishi was there as well. Zeo's eyes widened, his normal eyes in the vision, and gasped to see him there. "Enishi!! What are you doing here?!" he cried. Despite his voice, nothing was heard by the phantasms playing the scene before them-- all except Enishi would hear and see Zeo in this state.

Just as Enishi, Zeo became extremely enthralled and engrossed in the abilities of his bloodline. Unlike the Jugo's, the Kamigawa's bloodline wasn't a Kekkei Genkai inherently meant for solely destruction and carnage; instead, it was more...pure. It was the blessing of "God" in its purest form, which could either be used for the purposes of salvation and hope, or for destruction and carnage just like the Jugo Clan. That was what made the power of the Kamigawa Clan both fascinating...and frightening. Zeo could choose whatever path he wanted - as it was all subjective in the end; hero or villain, savior or monster. It was nice, seeing someone who had full control of their future, without any constraints placed on them since they were born. Enishi was past envying people for their ability to have free will, as he did have free will as well...he was just too weak and incompetent to fight against his sin. Nevertheless, Zeo grabbed on one of Hiramekarei's handles once again, gripping it with strenuous vigor as if he was trying to pull out the memories right there from sheer force of will. His eyes flickered again - starry they were - before closing them as vision soon blurred.
However... Enishi was also caught in this "vision."
He was drowning.
There was no light, yet his body burned as if the sun was on top of him. The distance between him and the surface was indefinite, unreachable no matter how hard he endeavored. His lungs, filled with murky water slowly started to collapse upon themselves. His hand that instinctively reached upwards, pleading for someone - anyone to possibly help him slowly went down. Even with the ungodly amount of water in his lungs, he chuckled. He was going to die. No miracle would save his life from the void-like abyss. Quietly accepting his fate, his eyes were about to close...until he looked up.
Skeletons. Charred bones. Severed heads. Deformed and ashen parts of civilians and orphans he knew all too well appeared above him as if they were remnants of the past. The specters of the fallen came to haunt him, how ironic. His mind flickered in and out of consciousness, the water making way to his brain, yet the mournful and downright haunting cries from the specters were able to get their point across from his near-catatonic state. "Why did you kill us? We were your villagers. We were your family…" They "sang" in unison, violating and puncturing his mind with their cries. Before he knew it, his lungs were fully crushed by the pressure of water. He was too deep in the hellish abyss. No words to describe his guilt, he looked up and whispered with the remains of air in his last breath, "...I-I'm...sorry…"
He quietly closed his eyes and his life "ended."
"Enishi!! What are you doing here?!"
As if lightning struck an empty void, Enishi's eyes widened with fear, shattering the "abyss" he was in with the mere presence of Zeo's world. The world he was once a part of, vowing to suffocate and crush his identity and fill him with memories of the past to torment his shackled self was destroyed, overlayed with a hectic scenery. A blonde boy with a kunai, another boy wielding the same blade that Enishi adorned on his back, some sort of bloodthirsty man hailing from the same clan of Gonk Hoshigaki, they all fought...and eventually, the two boys prevailed in victory. Just as memories of the "abyss" clouded Enishi's mind, this memory of the past...was also replayed in Enishi's mind. Due to the two memories invading the understudy's mind, he grabbed his forehead in utter anguish - quite literally, the past brought a headache to the Sage. Nevertheless, he tried to say some words to Zeo while still in this "Memory of Hiramekarei."
"I think...I got absorbed alongside you in this memory. But more importantly...What the hell...is happening... A planned coup? Judging by the appearance of this blade, this couldn't have happened much longer than a few years from the first memory you experienced...This blade must have at least a hundred more memories at this rate..." He tried to analyze the situation to the best of his ability, but it was clear that something else was bothering him. That memory of the abyss he was swallowed in just after he burned down the orphanage in his fit of rage during his childhood...he was still extremely scared of that reflection.
"This power...forced me to see my past. It forced me...to experience the 'Abyss' once again...how?" He thought absentmindedly.
