As the battle played out before them and reached its conclusion, showing a victory for the heirs of the Mizu and Hokage, Zeo realized he could not just have the visions-- but show those visions to others. How? Was he touching Enishi in the moment he had the vision? And what else did he see. Did the visions pose a risk for others outside of his bloodline? Either way Enishi looked extremely distressed. More for Enishi's case than his own, he wished to leave the vision. "We better get out of here... and return to reality," Zeo said in firm resolution.
At that right time, the vision began to fade-- as a bright light broke through their vision just as the mist vanished from the battlefield... ensuring the history of the Hidden Mist Village...
Zeo's eyes snapped open as he took a long held gasp of air, as if the vision was longer than intended. This time it lasted several minutes, but the reality of time to pass was probably a few seconds-- no more than five at most perhaps? It was hard for him to tell. But Enishi too would be out of the vision.
The blue-haired boy finally let go of the legendary sword, feeling far heavier to him now than it had before. "That was... intense. Yeah, so, something like this... a tool or object that lasted centuries, has far more significance than other objects, and why the visions are so strong. " Zeo theorized, finally calming down his beating heart. "The longer the blade was made and the more who wielded, the more memories and moments you could draw out from it. An echo in history..."
Zeo felt a bit tired and leaned against the trunk of the tree nearby. A hand ran up to half his face to ease his eyes, feeling a headache coming on-- not out of pain but the thought of peering into the past like this. " How in the world can my eyes see such things? Though I got an idea why items are possible to hold it. There is a legend about spirits that manifests in common tools, almost as if having life of their own... but I never thought... " He took a breath, his brain going a mile a minute, and not helping his headache.
He stopped, realizing Enishi was the one he was worried about. He somehow witnessed something in the vision-- something personal to him, but Zeo didn't see it. "Are you okay? You're not hurt, are you?" Zeo asked, concerned there was a worse mental backlash to those who didn't have his eyes. He couldn't imagine how that could happen. Did his own chakra force into his own mind?
He was discovering his own abilities, getting answers-- but it only spawned more and more questions. He tried to control the beating of his heart, alarmed by the fact his powers could influence others too. He bit his lip as he shook his head. "Just what are these eyes anyway? I don't really know how I even trigger them... maybe we should focus on that? " he asked.
Sitting up and standing back on his feet, Zeo had to ask Enishi. "Do you know how anyone, triggers their dojutsu? Maybe we should start with that. Everyone with Sharigan, Byakugan... they can activate the effects of their eyes at will. What do they do to control their eyes at will? Cause whenever it happens to me, it almost response instinctive to stress or pressure of a fight." he asked.

Enishi's eyes would widen as suddenly, the fragment of the past that the two were exposed to suddenly shattered - reverting to the real world as if Zeo commanded the memory to send them back to reality...was that memory really true, or was it an illusion? But, it couldn't be simply an illusion! If it was just some sort of fake memory akin to a fever dream with no bearings to reality then why...just why did it reveal to Enishi something that actually happened in his past. Everything. The fire. The "abyss." Shadows. Death. Destruction. Rebirth. That memory that he swore to forget for years...resurfaced. This headache was gonna last for a few days - no, more like a few damn weeks. What a fucking mess. Quickly, the words of Zeo would resound through Enishi's mind once more - truly bringing him back to reality; it seemed the blue-haired Chuunin found some value in the memory, recounting to the Sage the innumerable possibilities in those eyes of his and by simply touching the Legendary Weapon that the Jugo possessed, then the past covered by the thread called "time" was able to be unwrapped by the knife that was the Kamigawa's Kekkei Genkai.
How interesting.
Zeo's thoughts would flood like a river through his words, constantly thinking about the application and origins of his abilities until he gazed towards Enishi - asking if he was hurt or anything. "Nah! Totally fine," The understudy responded with a giant grin, hopefully enough to throw out any concerns he may have. Enishi would take his opportunity to rewrap Hiramekarei, making sure to not accidentally cut himself with the newly attained blade before resealing it in his scroll before reattaching it in his belt in a swift display of speed. Ever since the Chuunin Exams, the understudy realized that while his "stats" in chakra and intangibles may be exceptional for his stage as a shinobi, his physical stats were lacking - to the point this his strength was below average for a Genin. If it wasn't for his Damage Reduction Shield, Zeo would have defeated him quite easily; so during his spare time after his physical therapy in the hospital, the understudy trained hard in increasing his physical strength and speed which resulted in his reserves increasing as well. While his chakra potency may have reduced during that timeframe, the exchange for higher physical attributes was a good investment, especially since he would wield Hiramekarei so his body needed to be in great shape...and maybe so that he could wow girls like Hotaru in the future!!!
Nevertheless, after Enishi put Hiramekarei away, Zeo would shift the conversation to discussing "triggers" of his dojutsu; he proposed theories to how his bloodline activated, pointing to how back in the exams - he activated it from the heat of their battle. Which raised the question - how did other dojutsu based clans awaken their eyes? "The question is not how one awakens their dojutsu, but rather ask - why do they awaken it?" Detective Enishi was coming back at full force, "The Hyuuga Clan has one of the most useful abilities in the form of the Byakugan, an all-seeing eye where nothing can hide from its sight. To my knowledge, a Hyuuga is always born with their Byakugan - being more of something one trains rather than awakens, an all-seeing eye cannot have any prerequisites to awakening it, as it would defeat the purpose of an 'All-Seeing Eye.' Thus, a Hyuuga cannot have any triggers to activate their dojutsu, likely because it's more of a hindrance to awaken an eye that needs to be used at full force frequently rather than train it at birth. The Uchiha Clan is different, however...I'm not that knowledgeable of the Sharingan as it is a clan mostly founded in the Fire Country and no Uchiha Clan faction has been created in Hoshigakure. However...I can tell you that not all Uchiha walk around with a Sharingan being able to be used on command. There is likely a trigger needed to be activated to awaken a Sharingan and it would require a lot of training to use it on command like a Byakugan." His examinations were thorough and his reasoning was rational; the electric knife that was Enishi's reasoning was slicing through the mist that attempted to obscure the secrets of the Kamigawa Clan.
"I put this bloodline in the same category as the Uchiha's bloodline, it's something that one awakens - not that one is born with. That being said, if stress and the heat of a moment tend to activate those eyes of yours...heh... I'm not sure that you'll like this suggestion - but putting yourself in stressful and life or death situations will definitely strengthen and train your eyes. This goes without saying that potential death...is pretty much a given if you want to go that forceful route. Spars and simple fights if you perform them long enough won't actually train your eyes according to your anecdote of the heat of a moment triggering the activation of a dojutsu. No matter how many times we spar, it goes without saying that we won't cause serious harm nor kill each other, so training in a conventional way is out of the question. You have to think of things that can cause danger or stress to you...then work from there. A controlled environment, but not too controlled so the threat of things going off the handle is always there." A serious expression rose on the Sage's face, mulling over how "triggering" and training the bloodline could be possible.

Zeo's talk did ease some of the maelstrom in his mind, often causing more questions. That was him-- always thinking, always hypothesizing. It was what made him such a genius in Ninjutsu and other arts. However, it didn't help him with something he didn't know. Enishi was quick to referr back to the Uchiha and Hyuuga-- which was good but not very helpful to Zeo. "What I mean is HOW do I control it? Last I checked, they can use their eyes at will-- I have yet to do that. How do you CONTROL what you see?" Zeo expressed, seeing Enishi put his sword away. Then he decided to mention trying to reenact the situation in how his eyes Awakened. In short, putting Zeo back into a life-or-death situation to help manifest his powers more.
Zeo paused, and turned to Enishi with a somewhat irritated and sarcastic look. "Please tell me you're just trying to provoke me for a rematch for the Chunin exams," he replied dryly, tapping his arm with his arms crossed as he leaned against the tree. He rolled his eyes at the memory, more or less over the fight. He got more out of it than he thought, but he was mad to not make it to the final round. He wanted to win and wanted to be rewarded too, but lost to Enishi over sheer tough calls... "Bare in mind, you only won because you focused on speed and kept escaping my water prison jutsu. "
Perhaps Zeo was not over it... as his pride was more wounded than anything the hospital could help, but it was nothing to lose a friendship over. Had the rules of the exam been different, Zeo might of won.
"Hahaha..." A voice chuckled from around them. Zeo jumped in surprise as he soon recognized the voice. "For someone so composed, you sure know how to hold a grudge, Zeo."
Zeo soon looked around, to soon see someone up sitting on the branch of the tree. Neither Enishi nor Zeo had sensed him-- perhaps just arriving, But there was Yasha Okami a Jounin to Hoshigakure! He wore the elegant black with silver cloud gi and training outfit he was known for. HIs appearance almost seemed divine, down to the visor-like mask he used which hid the upper side of his face, allowing his tied-back black hair and chin features to be visible. He sat there, his arm leaning on his knee as he watched the two.
Zoe looked up at surprise. "Yasha Sensei..." he said, identifying to Enishi that he was Zeo's mentor.
His spying ended, Yasha soon hopped down from his perch, landing softly to the grass below. "The truth is Zeo, the eyes, like any part of the body-- is a muscle. Muscles can be controlled, and chakra moving through them. Just like any of your jutsu, your bubbles included-- you can control the eyes. You just need to practice it." He said lightly, the answer to his question rather simple. Still, he could see the distrust Zeo had in his own eyes... the concern that came with what he saw. It was then that Yasha's tone became a touch more serious...
"When it happens, you see starry imagery, don't you? " he asked knowingly, "YOu see energy that looks like a starry mass-- as if day turns to night and when you look at people you see them in different qualities and types. YOu also can see events from the past-- post cognition, it is called. "
Zeo's head snapped up in alarm. He knew?! How did he know about the eyes and how he saw things when they happened.
Yasha wouldn't keep him in suspense for long as he endeavored to explain as they stood there upon the hill. "When you displayed your power during the Chunin Exam, I took the liberty to do some research of my own. The power you displayed and the eyes... I was able to find some clues about it. You're Doujutsu is a very interesting one, the eyes appear without patterns or significant design as others do-- however, it is shown as your eye's color changing to their opposite as the corneas become black-- but alit with the glow of nebulas and stars like looking into the night's sky."
Yasha was there during the exams naturally and witnessed the battle intensely against him and Enishi. His awakening was quite dramatic and impressive, so he saw everything in detail.
"After some searching-- I was able to dig up some material on it, but not much. The texts are scattered, but it mentions the doujutsu described, specifically the ability to have such visions, and it is unique in that ability," he said, all the while his mask making him come off emotionless. "It is called... the Uchugan. It means 'Universal Eye"."
Zeo's mind after the longest time, stopped spinning to hear his master finally speak the eye's true name. It felt... right to him, as if he knew without a doubt it was his. "The Uchugan..." he said for the first time.
Yasha nodded in confirmation. "From what I understand, beyond the visions you get-- the eyes see much. Much like the Sharigan and others, it does see Chakra-- which is the masses of energy you see around you, little or big. However, there is more to it than simple chakra vision." He explained. "The Uchugan is focused on a specific form of energy that the others cannot see and rumored to derive directly from an ability the Sage of Six Paths once possessed." he said cryptically... adding to the suspence of the situation.
No doubt Enishi would have his own reactions and thoughts on the matter.

Re: Kamigawa Headwaters...
Thu Nov 25, 2021 2:34 pm
It seems that Enishi got too carried away with his ruminations, irritating Zeo more than anything - which he responded to with an apologetic look and sheepish chuckle. While it may be helpful to refer to the Uchiha and Hyuuga Clan as a framework to understand the dojutsu of an already well-established clan...the Kamigawa were shrouded in mystery; one cannot use other clans as precedent for a clan that clearly works under their own rules. This led Enishi to a momentary impasse; how can you understand and try to develop theories of something that works under rules and perceptions that you can't even understand? Even for a mind as eclectic as the Sage of Pleiades...his only theory for consistently training the Kamigawa bloodline was to constantly put yourself in danger to train your eyes...if that was the case, then the Kamigawa Clan would have turned extinct years ago if putting yourself in danger was the way to consistently train your eyes. Damn, it appeared that he really was stuck. It seemed that this wasn't useful information to his comrade...not to mention that Zeo took offense to his innocent theory by thinking it was a jab at him after the events of the exams. To that, the understudy would simply sigh - cracking his neck for a moment before speaking in a nonchalant tone,
"Sorry if I offended you. If you want to settle the score then be my guest. I've told you after our duel that if we weren't bound by the constraints of the exams then you would have won." His neck finished cracking, as his ice-blue eyes peered towards the Kamigawa - a single flare reminiscent of the embers of battle beginning to rise up. In the background, hawks and birds of prey would begin to fly on command, singing a song of hegemony with their caws. "Let's hope that you have strategies other than that Water Prison of yours - because you know how well that went." This wasn't a jab nor insult, it was a fact. Enishi's fighting style worked off of countering the flow of offense through defensive and utility methods to reverse an enemy's offense back onto them; rarely would he use brute force to defeat someone but that didn't mean over these past few months that he didn't pick up ways to force pressure. He didn't know whether Zeo picked up any defensive strategies, but no longer could a Water Prison pose any trouble to the understudy. Zeo may be a genius, but Enishi was a Sage. A Sage studies, observes, theorizes, then acts. Perhaps...he could be called a genius in his own right.
Nevertheless, before their conversation would turn into a full-fledged battle, a voice would suddenly scold the Kamigawa in a casual expression. "...?" Where was that voice? Left? Right? Underground? Oh, upwards. Perched on a tree would be a...for a lack of a better word - a handsome man with a charismatic aura that entered the free. Was he there the whole time? Shock and wonder would fill Enishi's expression as the man would jump onto the ground gently as if he were some sort of leaf, betraying his muscular frame. His chakra potency felt at least triple that of Zeo and Enishi's combined, which made his presence nigh overwhelmingly for the understudy. Still, he would keep his usual calm and nonchalant expression as to not shatter immediately under pressure. Zeo would address the man as "Sensei" to which the man would exude a lot of information about the blue-haired boy's Kekkei Genkai. Those visions, the stars, the Sage of Six Paths, the Uchugan...this was on some next-level info-dumping which made Enishi's expression furrow and narrow repeatedly when Yasha revealed more and more information about Zeo's bloodline. This was much more complex than just some rare dojutsu or dare he say, the Sharingan. No, this bloodline originated from the SAGE OF SIX PATHS!!! Oh man, Enishi was shocked, to say the least, and admiration of Zeo's heritage began to flow into him. But, that rose more and more questions about this "Uchugan." So many more questions that Enishi didn't understand, nearly threatening to split his head from just thinking about it...
"Flip the chessboard."
Ah, right. Suguru's wisdom flowed into the Sage's mind once again. If one way of thinking wasn't working, reverse it. Twist it around as many times as you need to in order to find an angle of reasoning that was beneficial to you. As Yasha began to end his cliffhanger on the origin of the Uchugan, a reflective yet wise expression formed on Enishi. The Jugo didn't exude confidence or anything, but he was just theorizing, flipping the "chessboard" in his head as many times as he needed to, "Spiritual energy is my first guess. If we recall during the Chuunin Exams, that 'Persona' of Zeo resembled a summoning of sorts as if he was forming a contract before our eyes. Summons do require chakra - yes, but they also require a level of spirit and inner reflection to use them, we can call this 'Spiritual Energy.' No normal eye can see it so only another Kamigawa can confirm this theory which is its main flaw, but this also explains how Zeo sees can see shadows - remnants of spiritual energy left in limbo in reality." He paused, recollecting his thoughts. "If this theory is true, then we also know that the Kamigawa are greatly attuned to the spiritual realm. Priests, monks, shamans, those who frequently connect to spirits - some of them could be Kamigawa. But who knows? That's just theory one." Enishi calmly proposed his theory to both Yasha and Zeo, not knowing how well they would take it. Though soon, his tongue would click as he faced the Jonin.
"Ah, I didn't introduce myself yet. My name is Enishi...and my apologies for the exams... Lady Shina explained that you had some sort of bet going on between our fight and I suppose you lost a good share of cash over that, Okami-san."

His neck finished cracking, as his ice-blue eyes peered towards the Kamigawa - a single flare reminiscent of the embers of battle beginning to rise up.

Enishi's quick wit and guess was actually like dropping a rock into a calm pond-- disrupting the flow to Yasha's lesson. The masked shinobi looked at him with a calm and silent pause. If Enishi could see his full face, he probably be a bit intimidated to interrupt the flow of Yasha's information. Enishi also didn't hesitate to mention Lady Shena-- which caused him to let out a quick cough. The mention of her was like a blow to him from any enemy.
"You have a knack of knocking your elders off balance, don't you Enishi," he said with a slight growl to his voice, a bit embarrassed to have the sage beat him to the punch. "But-- yes, Enishi. You're not far off with your assessment. As you know chakra, is made up of two-parts. Physical energy, and spiritual energy," he said as Zeo paided close attention to the masked shinobi as he raised two fingers to illustrate his point. Zeo knew very well that part about chakra. It was rudimentary ninjutsu lesson 101. Still, he listened as the masked ninja continued. "The Uchugan-- focuses on the latter of those two parts, allowing the eyes to see things in far more detail than the Sharigan or Byakkugan can. "
This was more for Zeo than he thought as he felt himself get lost in his thoughts again. The ability to see Spiritual Energy-- to see Chakra in Chakra Vision was just scratching the surface of a far bigger ability he had. "Seeing Spiritual Energy?" he asked.
"Indeed. Specific techniques depend on that part-- it is more commonly known as 'yin release' that focuses on the yin or spiritual power in a person. This is also why techniques such as genjutsu come so naturally to you. Those with these eyes often have an abundance of spiritual and mental energy. " Yasha explained in detail. "In essence, the ability to see spiritual energy is paper-thin to see the origin of that energy. Also known by most as, the soul. "
Zeo took a moment to take in that bit of detail. He felt almost at a loss. "Hold on a damn minute!" he exclaimed, not out of anger but of genuine surprise. "Are you trying to tell me the shimmers and auras I see of people's chakra-- the ... what's the word..? "Qualities" or "Traits" that I see and feel from looking at someone with the eyes-- are you telling me that is their SOUL?!" he asked.
Keeping calm, Yasha gave him a moment. He could understand how the ability to see that much would alarm anyone. "Yes, Zeo. That is correct. From what I gathered in my research, the defining trait of the Uchugan was the ability to see the Spiritual Energy of another being-- which is in essence their very soul. Unlike chakra, souls behave in manners different than chakra does. But because of that, it offers a unique point of view for the user-- allowing to see far more than other doujutsu can. Through it, one can accurately determine the nature and behavior of that person's true self and soul."
Zeo's eyes were wide with surprise and awareness. It was as if he was awakening to his Uchugan all over again-- that sense of acceptance against an undeniable truth. His eyes were just THAT powerful to penetrate and see the true nature and soul of another? It also what gave him a good intuition of people and how they were-- perhaps it was why Enishi and Zeo got along so well.
As Zeo calmed down, Yasha slowly continued. "The reason I said before, why this doujutsu is potentially related to the Sage of Six paths, was because one jutsu in our known history had dominion to influence the human soul. Even an infamous ninja named Pain used such a technique in the lost past. " he explained, "The Human Path, Ningendō. It was one of the defining traits that the Sage of Six Paths possessed which allowed him to make contact with human souls and learn their secrets. While that, and the Uchugan operate very differently, its similarities are why the two are in theory connected. "
The Sage of Six Paths-- the father of all shinobi. While many jutsu, arts and bloodline were in theory started by him-- it was as old as the age of time itself. And yet, to think this power-- this Kekkei Genkai lasted from that long and remained obscure all this time.
ONce again, Zeo found himself with more questions in his swirling mind as he tried to get all of this processed. Regaining some composure, he dared to answer. "Well... to say this is enlightening is an understatement," he responded with a hint of sarcasm in an attempt to lighten the load on his mind, "But what about ... the "Persona". What was that?"
Yasha nodded to that one as he was sure Enishi too would have thoughts too-- but would explain clearly. "From what I gather, the Persona is in fact-- a realized projection of the Uchugan's user's very soul. Using your chakra, your 'true self'-- your soul is projected into the real world , taking on a form of something similar to your true self. It's a bit complicated and even I am not sure of all that it entails. But it is intrinsically representative to you," Yasha explained, "From how it was when you two fought each other, the Persona acts much like a high-performance clone. It is YOU, but doesn't hurt you in the event it is overpowered. If it is your 'soul', it likely returns to you. Like I said though, this much I am just theorizing. The nature of the Persona, is beyond what we in the shinobi world knows and very few uses of the Uchugan are in recorded history.. at least by Hoshigakure anyway."
Zeo instinctively held a hand to his chest, as if to feel his own heartbeat and the 'presence' of his Persona-- his soul beside him. "The Uchugan... my Persona... " Zeo spoke aloud in self thought, "So this is my Kekkei Genkai? The ability to perceive and have power over the soul? "

The understudy would - understandably (pun one-hundred percent intended ) raise an eyebrow at Yasha's odd reaction at his seemingly innocent words. Hell, there was no sort of malice or any of a "aha!" moment when Enishi mentioned Shina and Yasha's bet...he just felt bad for making the man lose a probable good sum of money...so he didn't understand what was to be embarrassed about. If anything, Enishi should be the one to be embarrassed since he made his superior's endeavors a lot harder. A seemingly adorable look of confusion would befall on the understudy...until a dirty thought came into his mind...
"Oh."
...
What was the protocol for Jonin engaging in sexual relations with each other?
Enishi did not know nor did he care. Thank god Lady Shina was not his sensei, he didn't want to imagine what the "bet" actually was. Anyways, he would kindly ignore his far too imaginative mind including Yasha's perverted hobbies, and instead focus on what was at hand, discovering the secrets behind the Kamigawa Clan. It appeared as though "Theory Number One" was indeed the most accurate theory, and that the "Chessboard Thinking" strategy inherited from his father Suguru was a great way to discover more of the Kamigawa Clan. Yasha would then explain more about the clan, elaborating on how being able to perceive spiritual energy allows a Kamigawa to see not only the spiritual essence that makes up someone but also - the soul. It was highly related to the Human Path of the Sage of Six Paths which kinda added to the elusive nature of the Kamigawa Clan, which meant that Sage's original hypothesis of Zeo being related to some sort of "God" wasn't entirely incorrectly - but simply misguided. The soul of Hiramekarei was able to be uncovered by Zeo; the soul of Enishi was able to be uncovered by Zeo, allowing him to see glimpses of his brutal past in a mere instant. This was an extremely strong power, so it was a blessing in disguise that someone as pure of a heart as Zeo Kamigawa would wield such an ability...someone's past can be easily violated and trampled on if not dealt with the gentleness and purity of someone like Zeo. Thus, Enishi would let out a sigh of relief, hearing Yasha explain more about this Uchugan.
The conversation of this "Persona" technique wouldn't be ignored as well, Yasha's surgical explanation of the Uchugan would only continue with the only sort of respite being Zeo exclaiming his thoughts of shock and confusion. The Persona was in fact - a realized projection of an Uchugan's user's very soul. Using one's chakra, one "true self" projected into the real world, taking on a form resembling the naturalization of one's soul. Similar to an avatar or a high-performance clone, a Persona fights for an Uchugan user until its last breath. So that meant He-Bo wasn't a spirit per say...it was the personification of Zeo's soul. His hopeful smile couldn't be contained any longer, hearing the true potential that Zeo Kamigawa possessed. For a moment, Enishi's fist clenched - but it wouldn't be out of jealously or rage at Zeo's potential but rather...pride...
He couldn't wait to face Zeo once again, this time at equals.
A Clash of Souls was imminent.
As Yasha and Zeo finished their thoughts, Enishi's mind once again cut through the mist like an aged katana - sharpened by the maw of a dragon. "I'll flip the chessboard, again!" He muttered to sharply himself, though if an ear was sharp enough - they would be able to catch this mantra.
"A Persona is the reflection of one's soul that is able to the projected into the real world. That itself is evident now that Okami-san confirmed it. With that being said, it seems that a Persona also takes on the properties of one of the user's elements; with Zeo, it was Water. If Zeo - say, called for his Persona to become 'Wind' would he gain the ability to use another Persona, or is a Persona tied to one's affinity?" Enishi proposed another question - just theorycrafting at this point, though it would surely make the two guys think. "If the former is correct, then it would make sense to confirm Personas are mutable creations that can be created based on how the user's soul commands their Persona to have properties of. If the latter is correct, then Personas are more like guardian spirits that never change even if the user wants them to; basically, Zeo would be stuck with He-Bo forever. Depending on which theory is correct, that may say a lot on how the Kamigawa Clan operates..." A contemplative expression appeared on Enishi; he was just verbally theorizing here, so any comments, or hell - pushback or criticism would be helpful.

Re: Kamigawa Headwaters...

"Flip the what-now?" Zeo asked, overhearing the Jugo's murmuring, his face twisted by the random term of phrase.
He was quick to spin out his own thoughts over the power of the Persona. The use of elements, how it operates-- and the methods beyond it. Zeo really didn't know how to think about it. The persona-- almost seemed like an individual, like a summoning jutsu. Though he never made a formal contract, it was indeed a living thing-- and yet a part of him. He still remembered the words it spoke to him in his mind, when his eyes first awakened fully in the Chunin Exams. It was almost independent in action but responded to his wishes-- his needs. But a projection of his soul? He didn't really understand it. It looked completely different, but if Yasha was correct it was symbolic. The God He Bo. "He Bo... the god of rivers?" Zeo murmured in thought.
"Fitting name for an heir to a named "God River" clan, indeed," Yasha commented as he tried to calm Enishi's theories. "As I was explaining, Enishi-- it's hard to say. He Bo is the form of Zeo's Persona, but we don't know ANYTHING about how a persona works. It may be used to his elements, it may not-- but it still is in essence Zeo's chakra. It would no doubt embody his chakra's natural affinities. But we know very little where Personas come from or how it works. It's beyond recorded history." the masked shinobi said, his words only adding to his mystery allure with his mask. "Either way, his soul isn't likely to 'change' like that. This is uncharted territory. "
Zeo finally got enough information to try and calm down as he rose back up from his leaning position against the tree. "How do you know so much about all this, Yasha sensei?" Zeo asked, curious to when he mentioned more about the Persona.
Yasha turned to him, but due to his mask, he showed little to tell to his reaction. "All of the shinobi in our village was watching the matches. This was an exam after all. We assessed every fight to chronicle everything. Your abilities was a hot topic in the kage's meeting. The Kage himself understand its importance, the need to discover more about it and to protect it. It's in the village's best interest to learn more about your abilities. "
Thatt made sense. It was no secret now, that he awakened to it all in front of a wide audience. He crossed his arms, nodding to both shinobi. "We still have more questions than answers, as I am sure you feel the same. The truth is there is much more to the Uchugan than meets the eye," Yasha commented as a fact, "No pun intended."
There were so many secrets and questions Zeo had now running through his head. He had more information, enough to make his own guesswork of. He couldn't help but wonder about who else may have the eyes. Maybe he had distant relatives who had the eyes before. Could his parents have known and were they also wielders of the Uchugan too...?
Suddenly's Zeo's eyes widened with a realization. "Wait a minute!!" Zeo exclaimed. He quickly reached into his pack behind him and started digging for something inside-- till he felt the metallic feel of the scroll cylinder. He pulled it out, showing the smooth silver cylinder that his mother gave him the night she and his father died. She forced him to take it with him before telling him to run. He had tried so hard to unlock it but it didn't open-- even in the hands of a sealing expert. There was something about it that wouldn't allow anyone to open it. "My parents gave me this before the attack. This HAS to be about my Kekkei Genkai or some history? But no one could open it, not even the sealing experts here. Could there be more information here? " Zeo said as he showed Yasha the scroll container.
Yasha had seen it before, but sadly none of the others knew how to open. He took up the container, looking it over. "Indeed. I can see if I can get some of the more skilled Fuinjutsu scholars on it, but not sure how it will go. I got a feeling you are the key to opening it. May I keep a hold on it for safekeeping, Zeo? " Yasha asked kindly.
Zeo nodded. "Please keep it safe Master Yasha." he consented.
Yasha quickly put the scroll away, intending to show the Kage himself when he had the chance. Perhaps he could help unlock it.
While Zeo had so many questions and curiosity to his own power, he definitely wanted to explore more of what he was capable of. His mind returned to his parents... and the home he left behind. Did they know? They HAD to know-- at least one of them. If his abilities were hereditary, that means one of his parents had the same bloodline. Or both? Who knew. The clan seemed scattered and who know how few even awakened this 'eye' power he had.
But one thing was becoming clearer to Zeo... his desire to venture back home to River Country and find out what he could about his parents-- along with the events that lead to their death.
He kept that to himself for the moment, afraid to voice that idea to his sensei-- as he knew the village rules. No unauthorized leave of the village, or else branded a rogue shinobi.

Re: Kamigawa Headwaters...

Enishi watched with ice blue eyes at the scene before him; Yasha Okami would explain with some detail as an attempt to calm the autumn-haired Chuunin's countless theories about what the 'Persona' may be in the context of Zeo and his chakra system. Enishi's systematic approach of deducing what abilities the Kamigawa had with cold efficiency would be countered swiftly by the flowing and almost mysterious nature of how Yasha approached finding out the mysteries behind the clan. Bearing witness to how the enigmatic man operated, the Jugo would nod with a neutral expression to Yasha's answer, before thinking extremely clearly about the conclusion deduced from their interactions. "He knows something." He thought simply, before relaxing and setting his theories aside - letting Zeo take over with all of the questions. Heh, it was Zeo's clan after all - it was unlike the understudy to be so talkative and verbose about the affairs of things that did not directly concern him. Not that he didn't care about others, but he would try to find solutions to mysteries and problems, not waddle around and create long-winded conjectures like he was doing now. Hopefully, he didn't come off as pretentious or anything to the Jounin so that he doesn't hold any grudges against the boy in the future.
Once again, the Chuunin would undergo witness to the Kamigawa and his sensei discussing more and more about the clan's pedigree; presumably, the discussion of Zeo's peculiar bloodline was a hot topic in multiple government meetings including the Kage. This wouldn't come to surprise the understudy, he already knew that the government - especially the Council of Red - talked about the Hoshi boys' abilities according to Suguru. Zeo's abilities especially were such a hot topic that a few members of the Council of Red...desired that his eyes be harvested for the "sake of the village." Of course, they were simply "rumors", but hearing about his comrades being taken advantage of for a village he swore allegiance towards greatly irritated the understudy. Nevertheless, the most eye-opening part of the conversation was when Zeo revealed a scroll. If Enishi remembered correctly, that scroll was the same scroll that he was shown in the hospital...a scroll that held the secrets of the clan with contents so confidential that no Fuuinjutsu specialist in Hoshigakure could undo. The Kamigawa scion would hand it over to his master for safekeeping upon consent as Yasha would swiftly put it away with a sense of importance. Enishi once again, caught in the middle of the enigmatic Kamigawa clan felt a sense of awkwardness. He wasn't even part of the Kamigawa clan - and Yasha seemed to be much more knowledgeable about these types of things than him, hell, he was a Jounin who has lived many more years than the understudy. All Enishi could do was spit lukewarm theories and pray that his machine gun of conjectures could hit a target. "Flipping a chessboard" meant nothing if there was no chessboard to be played with; "flipping a chessboard" also meant nothing if the target wasn't even playing chess in the first place.
Was this it, the extent of Enishi's mind?
After Zeo spoke his words of consent to Yasha, a few moments of delicate silence would flow throughout the Water Gardens, allowing the waterfalls near the area to fuse with the atmosphere, allowing all three guys to think as if their minds were riding along the flowing river.
Finally, Enishi spoke.
"Maaaan, don't be an idiot, Zeo." Obviously, he was teasing in a fake-exasperated manner, but he wanted his friend to at least understand the words he was gonna say next. "Pursue power, but do not lose yourself in your pursuit. People will want those eyes of yours to create their own Personas for their own desires. You have a burden you have to handle, whether you like it or not," Those words, reflected in the understudy's own struggle. He too, had and continued to have a curse that he only had the burden of bearing. "It may be fun at times to have a special power that you're able to tap in at any time; it may suck at times for that exact reason. I won't claim to know exactly what you go through every day. However, what I do know is that the moment you even think for a second of being complacent in your power..." At that moment, in a blinding flash of speed, the understudy's hand flicked in a sonic boom of wind towards a tree. The light that was called "velocity" was nigh untraceable - perhaps Yasha could barely keep track of it. In a moment, the tree was perfectly fine.
The next moment, a hole was gaping through it, and not only that, six more trees had the same hole that was crackling with electricity.
A single kunai, which shattered in a burst of electricity, did all of that damage. Icy eyes stared at the Kamigawa, Enishi was actually serious this time; he saw despair before. No human should ever go through that again.
"A hole, just like that - will fester inside of you. It will slowly consume yourself...and you will 'die'."
