Diners Delight

It was a hot and humid morning. The sun shone brightly through the window on the face of the young Uchiha who was sleeping. Hanzo woke up with sleep in his eyes. He wiped his eyes and from his bed he could feel the heat of the weather. It wasn't a pleasant day to start off with, but still he had to rank up soon. He couldn't wait to join the Sound Ninja 5, the elite group of shinobi of his village. Hanzo needed to complete a handful of missions in order to rise within the ranks of Otogakure. He thought of a good idea to take whatever mission he can from the Mission Board and complete it efficiently and quickly. He rose from his bed and took a cold shower to wash off the heat from his body. He changed into his daily attire and adorned his Tanto on the back of his middle shoulder. He left his house feeling exhausted from his previous days of missions.

He started walking slowly towards the Otokage Mansion. As he was walking, he could see a restaurant being closed down for a renovation. Even though he didn't patron it often, it was one of the most popular food paradise of the village. He didn't think much of it and reached the Mission Board while adjusting his Tanto, signifying he was ready to take on a mission that had battle intentions. He scanned through the Mission Board and one of the mission sheet captured his attention. As he read through the details, to his surprise it was for the restaurant he saw on his way to the Otokage Mansion. It seems that the restaurant was going through a major upgrade and required some help. Hanzo ripped the mission sheet and kept it within his pocket. He walked back to the place where the restaurant was located, thinking if he should provide any ideas to the restaurant owner.

As he reached the restaurant, he could hear food plates being broken. "Hello, I'm Hanzo Uchiha and I am here to help you with your restaurant upgrade, may I come in ?" the young shinobi voiced while knocking the door. An old lady with tanned skin opened the door and said "Oh yes, we have been waiting for you, please come in. I accidentally knocked on the cabinets and broke my plates. I need someone to change the lightbulbs first as it's dark inside". The Gennin assured the lady that he will make things right. Hanzo entered the premises and entered the kitchen area that was filled with darkness inside. The Uchiha activated his Sharingan just to get an idea of the place before turning it off. He took the lightbulb from the hands of the tanned old lady and went back inside the kitchen. He could see that the current lightbulb was much fancier than her old one. He fixed the lightbulb in the darkness and as the lightbulb was fixed with a click sound, a bright light illuminated the room. The young Uchiha could see the kitchen was only partly painted due to the blackout. He formulated a plan to complete the operation smoothly.

Firstly, he will remove all the broken plates on the floor as it might endanger anyone who carelessly steps on hit and to clean the dust. Secondly, he will mix the paint well so it doesn't turn into paste and place newspapers on the ground to collate any paint falling off the walls or brush. Thirdly, he will paint the kitchen two times for coating reasons. The Uchiha informed the tanned old lady of the plan he formulated, which she agreed to. He started removing all the broken plates on the floor one by one. He made sure there wasn't any debris left behind. Next he started sweeping the floor for any dust that might still linger around. Finally he mopped the floor with disinfectant and turned on the fan to dry out the wet floor. Phase one was completed smoothly, now it was time to move into phase 2. He removed his Tanto and laid down his weapon on a nearby table. Hanzo took the paint bucket and kept mixing it until it was good to work with. After that, he laid down multiple newspapers around the wall borders incase any paint were to drop on the floor.

He immediately started to paint the kitchen. It took him quite a while but he managed to complete the painting within a few hours without dropping a single paint on the floor. He switched the fan on again to dry out the first coat. Once it was dried, he continued to coat the kitchen walls with the second round of paint. Once painting was totally completed, he removed all the newspapers on the ground and cleaned the paint brushes. He threw out the little paint left in the bucket and kept the tools inside a storage room near the kitchen. He brought the old tanned lady into the kitchen to show her the newly painted kitchen and the bright light that illuminated from the new light bulb. The delighted old lady reached into her purse and took out an envelope and passed it to the young shinobi. Hanzo knew what this meant, he just got paid for the mission that was successfully completed. “Thank you for your service. Next time you come over to eat here, I will give you a special discount on all our food items. Don't tell anyone” the old tanned lady giggled. “Thank you very much, it's an honor to eat at this amazing place and will surely bring my friends around as well” Hanzo bowed as he left the vicinity while waving back to the old lady.

Hanzo adorned his Tanto on his back and left the premises. He was delighted to finish yet another mission. This means he was closer to getting into the elite shinobi squad, Sound Ninja 5 and will soon rise in the ranks to a Chunin.
