Rank: D
Mission Location: Universal

Task: The local orphanage has put in a request for someone to prepare food and/or treats for the children. They also ask that you help to teach the children about any connections your food may have back to your family, culture, or history which you are comfortable with sharing.
Feel free to cook up anything from seafood to candy, as long as it is edible and not too heavy for children. Many of the local food shops are onboard with assisting you with your endeavors as they will be recompensated for their charity. A few suggestions for food include (but are not limited to!):- Egg dishes (egg salad, omelets, cookies)
- Seafood (crabcakes, tuna casserole, lobster ravioli)
- Vegetarian (beet salads, cous cous, pumpkin pie)
- Meat dishes (turkey sandwiches, pigs in a blanket, sausage biscuits)
- Cheesy meals (grilled cheese, cheese lasagna, cheese quesadilla)
Whatever food you plan to make, please send word ahead to help address any allergies and for the children to know what they may get. Thank you so much!

Mission Name: What is your Flavor?
Rank:D
Mission Location: Universal
Challenges: N/A
Task:A local connoisseur in foods and cuisine is trying to find a new flavor to enjoy. He has tried everything from snacks to haggis and bat meat to sock tarts. He loves to explore new foods from all around the world, but he has been a bit too hasty in his efforts. It seems that he has eaten new foods for every meal for the last twenty years and has lost track of all the foods he has and has not eaten. He is looking for something that will truly signify a mark in his experiences. Something that will stand out above all else. Whether that is good or bad, he wants it to mark a new revolution in his explorations!
That is where you come in.
He has invited you to his home where thousands of different foods, ingredients, and meals have been put together. You are allowed to combine, improve, unimprove, disprove, underprove, mix, flatten, squeeze, chop, bake, boil, and whatever else you can imagine to create a brand new experience for him. The only rule is, no brussels sprouts. In his exact words: GREEN ORBS OF DOOM. Be as creative as you want and deliver the completed food to him. If he likes it enough to want more, then you have succeeded.

Mission Name: Radi’s Mishaps: A Hungry Troop
Rank: D
Mission Location: Otogakure - Sarutobi Orchards
Challenges:
Task:
It would seem as though a young Sarutobi named Radi was practicing his summoning arts, but instead of summoning a shinobi weapon monkey he summoned an angry mob of hungry normal monkeys. They are now terrorizing the Orchards, eating everything they can get their hungry little hands on and attacking anyone that tries to stop them!
You are tasked with stopping their rampage before they eat so much food that there is a famine in Otogakure. It should be noted that while these monkeys are aggressive and will attack you, they pose very little threat (other than to the crops!) so it is not absolutely necessary to kill the monkeys. Otogakure tries to live in harmony with nature, so keep this in mind while stopping their rampage.
Also… DON’T DESTROY THE ORCHARD IN THE PROCESS!

Link to Legacy Mission:- Convince the individual to continue being a ninja through encouragement, support, and communication.
It was a warm morning, but not an overbearing heat. The breeze would gently roll by, ensuring the residents of Otogakure were able to stay cool, even if they had to work outside. Satoshi would be seated, looking over his paperwork with a surprised look upon his face. It would seem as though now that things were picking up here in Otogakure. A lot of the immediate craziness of creating the village had passed, and while there was no end to the paperwork and tasks in sight the young Sarutobi could at least say that he was finally getting accustomed to his new role and responsibilities. Well, that was until he got this notice. It would seem that he was assigned the task of overseeing and training a team of Genin, and while was a nice change of pace from all of the boring paperwork, it was going to be a lot of additional work to ensure they develop into proper shinobi.
Satoshi would rise from his desk, making his way out of his clan home and towards the village. His cousin would be in the orchards, playing with a ball and having a good time. "Radi, don't forget I want to see your summoning technique later. You can't let your shinobi studies and practice fall behind." The young boy would scratch his head and nod, a smile on his face as he waved goodbye to Satoshi. Satoshi would grab a banana on his way towards the village, a nice light breakfast before meeting with this team.
The Deputy made his way to the village, stopping at the building that assigns missions to the shinobi. While they hadn't been assigned anything as of yet, he figured what better way to build teamwork and comradery than working together for a common goal. He would ask one of the mission delivery people to deliver a message to meet here at this point, giving them the address and names of each member of the team. He wasn't sure if they would be as surprised as he was about his assignment to a team, but this would be as good a time and place as any to get together.

Tatsuya awoke early this morning to the sound of knocking upon his bedroom door. He was slow to get up, still very tired from the mission he had completed the night before with Hanzo and Mubu. He wouldn't have been so tired, however, should he have just gone directly home following the mission's completion. But no, he had wanted to fit in the the bad boy that was Mubu, and he had allowed himself to be coerced into committing arson of all things.
To be fair, however, the lowlife bathhouse owner had deserved it for trying to blow up a rival establishment, but that was still no valid excuse.
As he opened the door leading into his room, he was greeted with the sight of his mother, Amaya, who was holding a letter in her hands. She planted a kiss upon Tatsuya's head and handed it to him, pointing out that it was from the Deputy Kage, Sarutobi, Satoshi, himself. The young Uchiha gulped, having a feeling that the Deputy Kage and his father were onto him for the crime he had committed in the wee hours in the morning, but he didn't allow this to show. Instead he thanked his mother and closed the door with trembling hands before opening the letter and reading it.
"Oh, thank the gods..." He said in a mere whisper as he read the letter.
Tatsuya hadn't been found out for his crime, rather the letter stated that he was assigned to a genin team under the tutleage of the Dupty Kage and that he was to meet him and the rest of the team for a plethora of missions. Now wide awake from his near heart attack, Tatsuya freshened up, threw on his signature blue kimono with beige trimmings and Otogakure headband before heading out of the house.
"I'm heading out, Mom." He called as he neared the front door. "Can you please tell Dad my mission last night was completed?" Amaya advised him that she would, and with that Tatusya ran off towards the designated meeting place. All the while he was thinking about his new sensei. He had heard from Kaito, the First Otokage, that Satoshi was a man of high regard and great skill. He was excited to learn from a man of such a rank, and he was also excited to meet his new teammates.
After a short while of walking, he would finally arrive at the meeting place. It seemed that Satoshi had already arrived, but none of the other teammates had done so yet. Taking the opportunity, the Uchiha approached the Deputy Kage.
"Lord Deputy Kage, sir?" Tatusya said as he neared Satoshi, a bit weak at the knees as he approached the man. "I'm Uchiha, Tatusya, one of your new students and the son of Uchiha, Kaito. You requested my presence for some missions?"

Quinn had begun their day like any other, getting up, listening to the forges being prepared by their nephew, and prepping the business front to accommodate for all the new customers to enjoy the show and for all the returning ones to acquire what they have requested. As they took care of logging what orders would come in, an early knock caught the Forgemaster's attention. Normally customers would come in so the shift in etiquette caught their attention. Grabbing their hammer, Quinn hit the gong that was next to the wall next to the curtain that divided the shop. "Front!" The Forgemaster called out before getting up and moving to the outside of the shop. Greeting the messenger, Quinn read the contents and nodded in the affirmative. The courier left as quickly as they came and thusly Quinn popped their head back in before departing, "Be back. Orders are half sorted." Giving instructions and checking to make sure they had everything, Quinn adjusted their headband on their upper left arm and moved towards the meeting place.
Arriving shortly after Tatsuya, Quinn recognized the young boy from the silent encounter had arrived as well. With their own internal thoughts, the Forgemaster surmised this was the other team member that Mubu had spoken about in their training session the other day. Wearing their general attire of slacks, a white button-down plus their leather working apron, Quinn definitely appeared not quite as a shinobi but the headband was present. Seeing Satoshi, Quinn would offer a wave to the young Sarutobi as it had been a while since they last encountered each other, "Hello Satoshi." Greeting the young Uchiha as well, Quinn would offer a light bow. "Haven't formally met. Quinn Foster. Business owner. Forgemaster. New Genin. Team Member. And..." Quinn would ponder a bit before continuing the thought. "'Squad Mom'. According to Mubu." Quinn offered a chuckle at the thought.
With three present and the rumors of the squad itself being composed of the Deputy Kage as the cell-head, it left only one person to arrive still, Mubu. It seemed to Quinn that Mubu's scope of time varied from topic to topic as even for the affairs of their mission they seemed to have stumbled first into the last and final day, beating even themselves who is usually first to arrive on such matters. Chucking it up to likely oversleeping, the Forgemaster appraised the young Uchiha whom they have met but never introduced themselves. The affairs of their mission left little to discuss beyond what was present and aware. Quinn had a good feel and remembrance of Tatsuya's presence but it was still early to make a personality call on the young boy. Though it really did appear they put the oldest genin with the youngest.

This was officially the day Mubu waited for. The first missions and official meeting with his team, issue by the Otokage himself ! After getting up late after a evening representation at the local theaher, Mubu was getting ready for the day, taking his gear and heading out. Wearing his usual attire of black tank top, black shinobi pants, adorned with a belt and sleeve of oto traditional pattern, Mubu wore his famous and classic half coat, iconic for its collors and uniqueness. This time, he also wore his headband proudly, around his uppet right arm, to indicate to any foreigners that he was a ninja of the sound, and proud of it. Armed with his flute and puppet, Do, Mubu would set his way towards the meeting with the team, to know what the missions was and to finaly meet their sensei.
He had met previously with the other team mates, and they were a team of odd individuals to say the least! The forgemaster Quinn was the one Mubu had the most trouble with, both by their austerious personnality and speech, but also by their age difference, one that Mubu found it hard not to joke about, but also found it hard to relate to it. Nonetheless, Quinn was impressive, strong, and Mubu kinda liked the vibe he had going on with them. As for Tatsuya, Mubu liked a lot the little kid. He was mischievous, a rebel exactly like Mubu, who wanted to make his mark on the world and do crazy things to feel alive and enjoy life at its fullest.
As mubu arrived to the meeting place, he saw Quinn and the young Uchiha already arrived, but also their sensei. Huh. Weird. He seemed young for a Sensei! Mubu was, to say the least, intrigued. As he approached the group, he introduced himself to the sensei, and said hi to his fellow ninja.
''Heya Grandma! brought the Uchiha kid for a field trip ? hehehe. How you doing Tatsuya? Hope you are all good folks! Personally im very hypped up for the first missions as a team today! ahahAHAH!'' said Mubu to his team mates with a giggling tone.
As the sensei approached, Mubu said this: ''Yo Sensei! I heard you are deputy kage? Like the kage second in command? Damn. Thats impressive for your age! Im Mubu, surrely you heard of me, or maybe even watched one of my shows at the theather! Its an honor to meet you. ahahah!'' said the young artistic shinobi, in a sweet and suave tone, talking slow as always and in a deep voice, always as charming.

Re: Team Tempo - Missions: The First of Many
Thu Oct 05, 2023 4:02 pm
With the team present and coordinated by Satoshi, it was just a matter of time to get everything sorted out with the list of missions to work on as a team. There was much and plenty to do and with the need to finish these tasks in a timely manner, it was only a matter of the day's affairs to get it done and accomplished. Since they were a full squad too, it meant that Quinn only had to do a fraction of the work required to be able to accomplish the tasks at hand. Satoshi debriefed them on the four missions as a team they were going to undertake. First, there was a fresh shinobi, like Quinn and another they dealt with, that had reservations about their own development and certainty as an Otogakuran Shinobi. Having handled something like this before already, Quinn spoke up, "I'll take lead. Understand difficulties of new start. Should be empathetic enough." Waiting to hear any problems or concerns, the debrief continued.
Second, the orphanage was looking for some aid and help with taking care of the kids for a bit. Knowing not well about kids, Quinn let others take up the mantle as they looked towards Tatsuya who was likely closest in age to the orphans and likely a good candidate to take a lead on bridging the gap between the squad and them. Third, a local connoisseur of foods within the village was seeking to try something new and find a flavor unlike any other. With the noted exception of Brussels sprouts, there was a plethora of tastes and options within the village, and as such, Quinn did not mind offering to take their own crack as their attempts of cooking would likely be a twist to the standard. With consideration of the group here, Quinn took note it was likely going to be a mixed bag of options available for the group to offer. Lastly, there was some review of Radi's summoning techniques that Satoshi was likely going to use as a learning experience for the squad to be able to bond and grow their understanding of various shinobi arts. With that completed it was time for any questions. As Quinn saw the affairs as straightforward, did not ask anything or include any further commentary.
The first objective to complete was to help young shinobi get a better foothold on their style and growth within the village. As a specialist themselves, compensating for the other schools required more work and effort on their part to be able to compete with others but Quinn made their peace with the idea and knew full well it was likely going to be something similar and thus began to make their own thought process on how to approach the situation. The starting conundrum though was realistically to see where they sat on the fence for their status as a shinobi. It was an important thing to consider and understand when looking to see how best to help the individual. Moving forward with that, there was a designated meeting room within the Academy to begin the discussion and meeting with the genin due to the nature of records and other methods of discussion was something about potentially taking some remedial courses to potentially help improve one of their skills to help elevate beyond where they currently where. Quinn thought on the concept as they entered the room to see a young genin, roughly 12 years in age. Nodding to themselves, Quinn offered a hand, "Quinn Foster. Care to walk?" They asked without waiting for anyone else to impose, as the moment the preteen grabbed their hand, Quinn pulled him out of their chair and out of the room into the village proper.
Letting go of his hand, they simply waved for him to follow as they began to walk about the village. Remembering the time they had undertaken a similar mission, Quinn led the group to the amphitheater as the remnants of the Festival of Sound were nowhere visible anymore. Lots of memories and uproar were present through the village's short life span so far but that was not the topic of conversation as Quinn strode onto the stage taking the center position as the young genin stood opposite to them. That was when the preteen spoke up, "Why are we here? What do you want?" They questioned the older genin before Quinn gave a light smile to respond, "Here for you. Nothing." They retorted not missing any beats as the preteen blinked in response to the genin. Before he could have a chance to recover, Quinn turned the questions to him, "Why are you here? What do you want?" They looked back into his eyes, pressuring the young genin to speak up more.
There was more to be said about the approach of the Forgemaster as they went about it. The preteen shinobi stammered in response as he spoke up in protest, "You brought me here! Why else would I be here?! I don't know what I want and that's why I don't know if this is right for me!" Loud enough for the sound to echo within the amphitheater, Quinn smiled and nodded.
"Why else? Because you signed up." Quinn responded softly tapping their headband sending the kid to the ground with the force and weight behind their action. "Not knowing is fine. Not knowing if right is fine." They remarked offering a hand once more to the preteen. "Shinobi?" They moved their hand, "Civilian?" They pointed toward the entrance of the amphitheater, "Does not matter. A decision. You should make." They reopened their hand waiting to see what the young shinobi's decision was.
Fighting tears with a grimace, he grasped Quinn's hand as Quinn pulled them up to a standing position. "Glad to see. Commitment is a great quality. Commit with your body and mind." They added before letting any others add-in. Once the team finished any supporting remarks Quinn gave him a pat on the back before beginning to walk out of the amphitheater. "Should go home. Rest. Relax. Train. More challenges will be faced. This is just a start." They added as the group would wrap up and move onto the next mission on the list to take care of for the group. Reporting back to the Mission Administration to indicate completion, their next task at the orphanage was up, and a quick grab of supplies on the way. As there was a cooking portion of the mission that was tied to their storytelling antics, it likely would be best to at minimum provide the supplies to avoid taking extra resources from the orphanage.
With stopping in the market, each member likely opted to grab some items of their own liking to be able to share them with children. Quinn in particular got a variety of peppers to be able to share with the other recipes that were being considered and to also have a good show-and-tell moment of proper care when it came down to cooking. As much as they were not a master chef-style individual, Quinn made an effort to get some sort of lesson involved where they could. The group did not take long to gather all the supplies needed and then headed to the orphanage to proceed with their mission of handling kids for the next while before they had one more mission and a check-in back at the Sarutobi complex within the village of Otogakure. With peppers and other spices and supplies gathered, Quinn had a smile on their face as they approached the doors to the orphanage.
There was a storm of laughter and energy that burst into view upon opening the doors. A handful of children of various ages ran around a common space with a staff member chasing after them. The arrival of Team Tempo into the scene brought a lot of attention straight to the group. With the various personalities and appearances of the group, the children took to each team member in different ways with a variety of differences in each group. A relatively small group of quieter kids found their way toward Quinn of the assortment as they patted their heads and smiled at the trio that had taken an interest in Quinn. With each member finding their own group to work around, Quinn shuffled away from the main group to take the quieter kids to a different part of the orphanage. With such a massive orphanage, two kitchens were available for the group to split up and work with and Quinn opted to let the other more rowdy groups go before theirs went into the kitchen proper.
"Family recipe. Secret" Quinn whispered as they found a table to do some prep work in. With a bowl and their items acquired, Quinn produced the variety of peppers they acquired along with some cream cheese and normal cheese plus some spices. "Caution. Do not touch eyes." They added in as they made a mixture to work within a bowl of the cheeses and some of the spices. Of the trio, two were inclined and okay with getting their hands dirty while the third was less so. Asking them to help with cutting the peppers, was a good team effort as the slow production had the peppers prepped, the cream cheese mixture was ready and the meat to wrap the peppers in was already set aside and good to go to fully prep the pepper poppers once the kitchen was available. A plethora of questions were slung at the Forgemaster about the taste they were going to have if they were going to be spicy or perhaps hot. "In time. You'll see. You'll feel." They noted to the trio as the kitchen was finally available for their use.
Once in the kitchen, piping the cheese mixture into the pepper halves and then wrapping them in the meat before getting the oven ready, Quinn talked about the process and learning how to do this from their grandparents and how their grandparents also did this. Explaining that this was not something holistically unique to their family, it was a favorite of theirs as blacksmiths. "Heat is nice. Externally. Internally. Whichever the pick is." They added in before having enough pepper poppers for the entire orphanage to have a few and likely enough to take home. Eating a handful themselves while enjoying whatever food the others prepared, Quinn was happy with the results of what transpired. Once their stay at the orphanage came to a close, Quinn let the trio know how important it was to not tell anyone the mix of spices they used as it was now their secret to take with them as they grew up.
Next up more cooking potential adventures were up to bat as the challenge coming up was to find a unique flavor and avoid the 'Green Orbs of Doom' from becoming an issue. As they themselves did not gather Brussels Sprouts to utilize in their attempt, Quinn simply had some leftover pepper poppers to offer the local to try. It was not anything special but it was their family recipe so it was possible a new palette to encounter for the food enjoyer. With that plan in motion, it was just going to boil down to their efforts as a squad to the flavors they were going to bring were sure to be a huge mixture of each of their unique heritages and upbringings. With Quinn's preference for a good snack being pepper poppers, it was a surprise to see what the others opted for. When it came down to time to showcase the plethora of flavors and options to the connoisseur, the Forgemaster was surprised with the result.
When it come to the pepper poppers themselves, it was a mixed bag and report from the man. A critique of the flavor palette that the Fosters' recipe had, Quinn furrowed their brow at the man, dissatisfied with the commentary. "Not enough spice, lacking in depth. Definitely have had something akin to this before." Letting out a sigh, Quinn moved to the man's kitchen to see if there was anything they could do to help adjust the recipe to make it more unique for the man as the rest of the squad worked towards finding a unique enough flavor for the man to determine as a penultimate flavor to encompass his tasting career. Quinn not exactly sure how best to handle it decided to play support in this case to help others who had ideas and to let them take on the challenges that were being presented to them. As a more front of the combat-style shinobi, Quinn did find difficulty in handling a situation such as this.
Eventually, the task was completed with some mixture concocted by another one of their team members. It was a wild series of events that led to the flavor being discovered and the best word that was able to be formed about it was umami mixed with sweetness. Quinn thought it was a rather standard flavor but they recognized that flavor tasting was not a huge part of their own experiences as they maintained a relatively bland diet normally. Giving props to their squad mates for being able to come up with a solution and answer to the connoisseur's issue, the Forgemaster proceeded to help clean up the mess the team made with their experimentation of the variety of food options that were provided within the man's household. They themselves not being a huge neat freak, lumped a lot of the stuff together and then put it away in what looked like an appropriate setting for them. Meats in the icebox, dry goods in the pantry, and other chilled items away as well.
With that departure, it was time to go check on Radi's progress for the day. Being a part of the Sarutobi estate, it would be obvious that Satoshi himself would likely take the lead and help coordinate what tips the squad could provide to the young shinobi in training though Quinn was unsure if any of them truly had the skill set to help with that outside of Satoshi himself, it likely would be beneficial to the youth to see how the other youth operated and how some of the older shinobi also took care of their kits and how best to address it. Looking over Tatsuya and Mubu, it was surprising to see the wide range the team was with Satoshi, the Deputy Kage, at the head. With the knowledge that they sought a strong development towards self-improvement, Quinn took this matter of checking on Radi with a different level of seriousness as this would properly utilize their skillsets as shinobis and not just general knowledge and capacity.
Upon nearing the estate, a few monkeys came abound over the walls of the street separating the estates of the clans' neighborhood. Quickly on alert, without waiting for Satoshi to make the callout to capture and help restrain the new inhabitants of Otogakure, Quinn leaped into action. Using their taijutsu prowess to subdue the escaped monkeys, Quinn was quick to turn their attention now on top of the walls to the orchard where a handful of monkeys were now in the process of procuring their own meals. "Quick! The Orchard!" Quinn called out and pointed toward where Radi was trying to handle a monkey that was being a bit too playful on their head. With a couple of monkeys subdued by Quinn already, it was just a matter of regrouping the whole bushel of monkeys to get back into their barrel and be done with it all.
The team moved quickly and swiftly as the angry mob of monkeys was taken care of and remedied quickly. With consideration of time and other things needing to be done, it still took them some time to scout and make sure all monkeys were accounted for from Radi's mishap. With operating outside of the walls primarily, no damage was done by Quinn to the orchard as they also refrained from using any of their proper techniques outside a few taijutsu they were aware of and had avoided using the trees within the complex to wrap around or step on in case their strength could cause damage. As much as their chakra control was fine, there was much for Quinn to still learn, and took it upon themselves to recall the movements of the monkeys specifically to remember how nimble they were in the trees in case they needed to find alternatives to work around tree limbs.
Once the troupe was wrangled by Team Tempo, it was time to depart as Satoshi likely would have a word with the young Radi and this occurrence. There was not much more to worry or concern about for the general ongoings for the day at the Sarutobi Estate and thus Quinn took it upon themselves to speak up as they knew there was more for themselves to do and look at, at the Administration section for missions. "I'll report back. Should be good to pick up later. For those who don't come with." They spoke to Tatsuya who likely would pick up on the way to the Otokage Mansion tomorrow if he didn't stay with Kaito and to Mubu who likely wanted to go out and have fun within the village after a hard day's work. Beginning to move with or without them, Quinn remembered the day and the lessons to learn from each task.
The first mission was about being comfortable with moving forward and being firm with oneself no matter your path. The second mission was about being there for others and sharing what you had with them. The third mission was about creativity, finding a solution to niche problems, and understanding that sometimes the first approach will not be the correct one. The final mission was a simple lesson, do not summon a mob of angry hungry monkeys. Which Quinn fully understood was not going to be an issue for them as they approached the Otokage Mansion, ready for payment for their hard work upon that day in Otogakure.

No time to waste. Feeling the Nature Chakra course through his body, Sebastian activated his Savage Sage Mode. Having picked out a target, the Tau formed a total of five hand seals as he drew upon his mastery of wind chakra, exhaling a colossal sphere of pressurized air with a diameter of 10 meters. The attack would soon made its way towards Mubu who stood fifteen meters in front of him. Should the puppeteer be unable to defend, they'd be inflicted with a great deal of damage. Nevertheless, the Berserker continued his assault. Another seven hand seals were formed as crimson orbs appeared around himself.
Immediately after, they were launched at Mubu once more, and once only five meters separated the orbs from the puppeteer, Sebastian would cause the scarlet spheres to explode. In case they were caught this time as well, the attack would deal devastating damage to those affected.

Noticing his attack had been successful, Sebastian acted as if nothing happened, walking towards the lifeless body of the puppeteer. Wasting no time, the Tau collected the metaphorical prize before simply returning back home. A day like any other. Another interesting test subject for the Berserker to experiment on.
