Uchiha, Kaito would awake with a slight start, shooting straight up from his slumber in a burst and with a light, almost muffled scream. He had just had perhaps the most messed up, yet exhilarating, nightmare that he had ever experienced in his twenty-one years of life, and it was sure to be one that he would soon not forget. Images of it all swarmed through his mind; his awakening in his home all alone, only to look in the mirror to see that he had taken on the shape and some mannerisms of a werewolf; his finding of Quinn and Hanzo as the three of them ventured through the Land of Nightmares to fight hordes of demons, shadow versions of themselves, and the devil himself in an all out war between the world of the living and the world of dreams.

The Otokage knew not what he had eaten or drank to have experienced such a vivid nightmare, but he knew to stay cautious of whatever the hell it had been from now on.

As the young man began to take in his surroundings, he came to realize that he had woken up just outside of the Otokage's Mansion in the center of the village. Kaito felt this was strange, knowing full well that he had made his way back to his home in Otogakure's Uchiha district the night before. Stranger still, he had somehow managed to fall asleep outside of the mansion rather than on the nice, leather couch that he had in his office on the third floor of the building. Wanting to get a grasp on the situation, Kaito would rise up to his feet and brush himself off, all the while examining his surroundings. The village was in shambles, and around him he could see that Foster, Quinn and Uchiha, Hanzo were both standing around him. With a gulp and a sinking feeling, the Otokage would look up to the skies above the village. Sure enough there was still a multitude of space-time rifts dotting the skies.

"Damnit..." He cursed under his breath, realizing that what he and his two subordinates had experienced was in fact not a dream in the slightest. He would begin to contemplate things as he stroked the goatee on the edge of his chin, perplexed as to why the rifts were still in the real world even though the three of them had been able to defeat the demon king in the Land of Dreams. He was sure that by beating the monster in their dreams that it would've at least had a happy ending in which everything was put back to normal, but he had clearly thought wrong.

A few minutes would pass by, and Kaito was still left perplexed. He knew that he could have easily removed the majority of the rifts with the use of his Kamui, but as everything from the world of dreams had been real, he was sure that he would not have enough chakra left in his system to clean things up in that way. So, left without a clue as to what to do, he would turn to Quinn and Hanzo for their input.

"I'm going to be honest with the two of you," Kaito started, sighing with defeat as he spoke. "I'm at a complete and utter loss here. Do either of you have any ideas of how we can finally put this situation behind us?"

Quinn would be right in regard to Hanzo preserving the use of his eyes. The boy really had used his Mangekyou Sharingan a lot over the course of the past few weeks, and Kaito was a bit shocked at the revelation that the boy was already starting to experience the blindness that was the curse of their clan. If Kaito did not act fast it had the potential to become permanent, but that would be something that would have to wait. Even at this time he himself did not have the resources to help Hanzo in clearing up his aliment.

"Like Quinn said, Hanzo," Kaito started as he placed his hands upon his hips. "Your eyes are precocious things, especially as an Uchiha. Best to keep your Mangekyou Sharingan on the back burner for later."

Another moment would pass as Kaito contemplated Quinn's plan of helping out the more affected areas first and foremost, but it would be Hanzo who responded first. When the younger Uchiha presented the idea of using a few different techniques, Kaito would nod and allow the boy to do his thing. It would be at athat point that Hanzo would shoot a fully powered 'Fire-Style: Great Dragon Flame' up into the skies above the village. Following this he would make his way to the roof of the Otokage's Mansion, where he held his right hand up into the air. Massive amounts of storm clouds would cover the sky, and an intense lightning storm would begin. In an instant the lightning that had started would connect with Hanzo's raised hand and a dragon head made of that very lightning would make itself known. The Otokage couldn't help but be impressed. It was as though Hanzo had managed to conquer lightning itself without the use of his own chakra, and with a swift downward arch of his arm the dragon would fly itself directly into the portal. The two collided violently, lighting up the night sky as though it had briefly become daytime before returning to its normal state. Once the brilliant display was done, Kaito noticed without question that the portal had outright disappeared. Looking around, it seemed as though all of the others throughout the surrounding area had as well.

'Well, I'll be damned...' Kaito thought to himself with a sincere smile.

Hanzo then jumped back down to the ground, advising Kaito and Quinn that all of the rifts had, in fact, closed. Kaito chuckled and ran his hand through Hanzo's red hair proudly.

"Good job, son. I'm really impressed by that technique you used. Hell, I never knew that you had been practicing something like it." A sly smirk made itself known upon Kaito's face. "That means our next training session together will be that much more interesting." WIth that Kaito would thank both Hanzo and Quinn for all of the help that they had provided over the course of the past few weeks. If it hadn't been for the two of them the village of Otogakure and the entire world at large would have been encompassed in an endless nightmare. They, in Kaito's eyes, would forever be remembered as the heroes of the world.
