Yushin still found himself in the small villages around the large crater that once was Tatsumakigakure no Sato. He was day after day dwelling more into the local criminal scene, climbing up the ranks of notoriety and influence. The manipulative crook hope to soon rule the whole area’s underworld. Yes, it was a wasteland, but he had to establish himself somewhere if he hoped to rebuild his criminal empire.
As he wandered through the narrow streets of the setlement, the flickering light of a local tavern caught his attention. Entering the establishment, he noticed a sign announcing a poker night at the following day with a tempting prize of 1,000 ryo. The shadows that clung to Yushin whispered of opportunities, and a sly idea took root in his mind. Instead of participating in the poker tournament, something he would most hate, as he was not very fond of card games, he contemplated a more… clandestine approach – stealing the prize before the game even began, making his own lucky.
Under the cloak of darkness, Yushin observed the tavern from the shadows, carefully studying the routine of the staff and patrons. With each passing hour, he honed his plan, mentalizing and entry point and exit routes, and timing the staff routine, preparing to execute a stealthy heist that would leave no trace and would earn him some quick, easy money. He really needed capital to invest into his criminal network.
As night fell, casting the village into a deep, silent slumber, Yushin made his move. The tavern, now quiet and dimly lit, became the canvas for his shadowy endeavors. He slipped inside unnoticed, navigating the tables with the grace of a phantom. The prize, a tempting bounty of 1,000 ryo, laid inside a safe at the owner’s office. Yushin, with the nimbleness of a seasoned thief, was able to easily enter the office, he lockpicked the safe, gabbing the pouch of coins that was inside of it. Not only the 1.000 ryo was there, but he also found and envelope with 1.000 more! That was indeed his lucky night. The shadows embraced him as he swiftly left the tavern without making a single noise, melting back into the night, leaving no trace of his presence.
The following day, as the villagers gathered for poker night, the absence of the prize sparked confusion and disappointment. The innkeeper, bewildered by the turn of events, could only speculate on the mysterious disappearance. How could all of his money have disappeared in thin air? The safe was untouched and it seemed to him that supernatural occurred there.
Yushin, having left the village behind, carried the stolen prize as a reminder of his ability to navigate the shadows. The stolen ryo, though a token of his cunning, bore the weight of consequences that rippled through the fabric of his existence. In the end, the Missing-Ninja vanished into his good old lair, leaving behind a village puzzled by the mysterious disappearance and uther failure of the first poker tournament. But more would come for Yushin that same week…
The following night, the moon hung high in the night sky, casting an ethereal glow over the small settlement near the destroyed Tatsumakigakure. Yushin, still enjoying his last heist, received a cryptic message from an old contact about an intricate mission involving the famous Sakura Corp. A caravan, laden with fixtures and building supplies, was en route to the settlement, a sign of a major upcoming event… perhaps the Hurricane Festival, and you were tasked with the job of securing the caravan’s route.
However, there was another factor at play… the disgruntled contractors who lost the contract were not content to watch from the sidelines, and were stirring things up in the shadows, even requesting a meet with Yushin himself to deal with the problem.
Stepping into the shadows, Yushin traversed the outskirts of the village, where he was to meet the agitated contractors. The air carried the tension of thwarted ambitions and resentment as the disgruntled group awaited him in the dimly lit alley.
As Yushin approached, the moonlight revealed the scowls on their faces, the discontent etched in the lines of their expressions. They knew his name, a testament to his notoriety in the underworld. The Missing-Ninja, shrouded in the shadows, faced the discontented group, their grievances palpable in the chilly night air.
The leader, a burly figure with a scowl etched deep into his face, stepped forward. "You're that ninja they call Yushin, right? The one giving the cards around here nowadays," he sneered. Yushin’s reputation was indeed growing every day, as he was the one reached by the contractors, and not any of the local gangs.
Yushin, a master of silence, listened as the contractors voiced their frustration and resentment. The leader, in between angry tirades, inadvertently revealed a critical detail – they had abducted a Sakura Corp employee in an attempt to gain leverage. The foreman, the key to unraveling this web of deceit, was now a captive in their hands, hidden in an old warehouse of the group.
Acknowledging the volatile situation, Yushin suppressed the urge for immediate retaliation. Instead, he engaged in a calculated conversation, attempting to discern the foreman's whereabouts without revealing the depth of his intentions. The contractors, unaware of the subtle manipulation, something that he was a master of, reluctantly provided information on the warehouse whereabouts.
The criminal, having acquired all the crucial details, slipped back into the shadows, leaving the disgruntled contractors in their dark alley of discontent. The werehouse, now a stage for a clandestine operation, awaited Yushin's next move. This was a huge opportunity for big profit and enormous gains of reputation.
Under the cover of darkness, Yushin formulated his plan. He tracked the warehouse locations with the precision of a silent hunter, anticipating the ambush that awaited him. As he neared the predetermined location, he observed the Sakura Corp employee, bound and guarded by the disgruntled contractors. All of them who are well built, and had fists ta looked as as hard as cinder blocks. Perhaps a stealthier approach could be easier to deal with the group
Yushin, a shadow weaving through the night, engaged the situation with a mixture of stealth and calculated force. The contractors, blinded by their resentment, failed to perceive the silent menace closing in on them. In a swift and precise series of movements, Yushin incapacitated the guards one by one, without them even noticing it, and freed the foreman, whose eyes reflected a mixture of fear and gratitude. But Yushin was not done yet… after all, he still needed the route of the caravan for his contact, that was why he was hired at first place. He grabbed the foreman by the throat, and before he could even ask, the young lad spilled out the whole route, so afraid he was. Yushin let the foreman go after this, and as he was leaving, running in panic, one of the unconscious contractors woke up and challenged Yushin for a 1x1. The contractor, a formidable figure with bulging muscles and a scowl etched into his features, stepped forward. His fists clenched, revealing the simmering anger that fueled his aggression. Yushin, draped in the shadows, faced his adversary with a calm demeanor that belied the storm within. Size wouldn’t matter here, as technique always prevails.
The first strike was a blur, a swift movement that sliced through the night air. Yushin, a master of evasion, danced around the burly contractor's heavy punches with the grace of a shadow on the move. The rhythmic exchange of blows echoed in the warekouse a symphony of conflict played out in the darkness.
The contractor, relying on brute strength, swung his fists with unrestrained fury. Yushin, however, countered with calculated precision, exploiting the gaps in his opponent's attacks and all the openings he could find, stinging the brute little by litte. Each movement seemed choreographed, a dance between two adversaries locked in a silent struggle.
As the fight intensified, the burly contractor's frustration grew. His brute force met Yushin's finesse, a collision of styles that echoed through the large area of the abandoned warehouse. The Missing-Ninja, ever the strategist, utilized the shadows to his advantage, disappearing and reappearing at will, leaving the contractor swinging at shadows. A momentary lapse in the contractor's defense became an opportunity for Yushin. With a swift and calculated strike to the throat, he incapacitated his opponent, a subdued form slumping to the ground. As he gasped for air, Yushin grabbed his neck and with a swift twisting motion, broke the man’s neck, a message for the others as they started to recover consciousness. A huge crack of bones could be heard as the brute fainted into oblivion in absolute silence.
With the foreman liberated and the brute dead, Yushin confronted the disarrayed contractors, who were still trying to recover themselves. His voice, a subtle echo in the night, warned them of the consequences of their actions, and what would happen to them if they ever looked for revenge. The shadows, now allies turned adversaries, witnessed the Missing-Ninja's authority as he dispersed the group without resorting to lethal force.
A few days later caravan continued its journey, with Yushin watching from the shadows, the liberated foreman at his side. The disgruntled contractors, dispersed and defeated, were left to ponder the consequences of their ill-conceived plan of kidnapping someone. The Missing-Ninja, having navigated the intricate web of resentment and deceit, melted back into the night. His job, for now, was done. What his contact would do with the caravan route was not of his business.
The next day, the village elders, concerned about a large tree that had grown unruly and was causing myriad problems, sought the expertise of Yushin, the enigmatic Missing-Ninja that recently surfaced in the region’s underworld. The tree, once a symbol of natural beauty, had become a menace, its roots disrupting foundations and branches looming ominously over nearby structures. And after his mighty athletic deeds, like defeating the rowdy group all by himself, he was considered for the job, even being a criminal.
As Yushin approached the site, he assessed the situation with a discerning eye. The massive tree, its gnarled branches stretching toward the sky, posed a challenge that required a delicate touch. The village, nestled in the embrace of nature, depended on a harmonious coexistence with the surrounding environment. The first step was to gather information about the tree's structure, its roots, and the potential risks involved in its removal. Yushin, moving with the grace of a shadow, observed the tree from various angles, noting its vulnerabilities and potential weak points. He recognized that the objective was not only to eliminate the threat but also to minimize collateral damage to the village.
Equipped with the knowledge of the tree's anatomy, Yushin set to work preparing for its removal. He crafted a plan that involved a series of precise cuts to weaken the structure without triggering a catastrophic collapse. The shadows whispered their approval as Yushin, a master of stealth and strategy, approached the task at hand.
Using his nimble fingers and a set of specialized tools, Yushin climbed the tree with the agility of a seasoned arborist. His movements, though deliberate, were executed with a finesse that only someone intimately acquainted with the art of subtlety could possess.
Carefully, he began to make strategic incisions, cutting away sections of the tree's branches and trunk. The process required patience and precision, as Yushin sought to dismantle the towering giant without unleashing chaos upon the village below. The tree, once a symbol of serenity, now surrendered to the quiet violence of Yushin's calculated cuts. As the last segment of the tree's trunk was severed, the massive structure began to sway. Yushin, anticipating the movement, directed the fall away from vulnerable structures. The tree descended with a controlled grace, its descent guided by the hands of a master. Indeed, it seemed that Yushin’s mind operated at a higher level, as he could anticipate stuff before they even happened.
The villagers, observing from a safe distance, watched in awe as Yushin completed the task. The tree, now reduced to a series of manageable sections, lay strewn across the landscape. The once-problematic giant had been dismantled with surgical precision, sparing the village from the potential devastation it could have caused. But as it seemed that it was all done, an unexpected adversary arrived - a burly lumberjack with an axe slung over his shoulder.
“Oi, idiot… that tree was mine to take down!”
The lumberjack, a broad-shouldered man with a weathered face, approached Yushin with a scowl. "I was also contracted to chop it down and you stole my gig!" he declared, his eyes narrowing in defiance. The Missing-Ninja, his movements fluid and calculated, avoided the lumberjack's swings with a dancer's grace. The axe cleaved through the air, leaving trails of displaced shadows in its wake. Yushin, understanding the delicate balance required in this situation, sought to neutralize the lumberjack without killing him in the middle of a crowd that was now forming around the impeding duel. The curious townsfolk quickly gathered to watch the confrontation between the feared Missing-Nin and the burly lumberjack, wh by the way had a pretty big and sharp axe while Yushin was absolutely unarmed.
Yushin, a master of silent communication, assessed the situation without uttering a word. The lumberjack, interpreting the silence as a challenge, swung his axe with a resounding thud against a nearby stump. The clash of steel echoed through the air, signaling the beginning of an unexpected confrontation.
The dance between the agile ninja and the determined lumberjack unfolded beneath the looming branches of the falling troublesome tree. Yushin, relying on speed and evasion, dodged each swing, his movements a testament to his mastery of combat. The lumberjack, fueled by frustration, pressed on, determined to assert his claim over the tree. Every time it seemed that the axe would hit Yushin deadly clean, he was able to evade at the last moment, as if he was somehow intangible. The lumberjack started to show some tiredness and soon the rhythm of his flurry started diminishing, leaving openings for Yushin to exploit…
In one of these openings, as the lumberjack lifted his axe up to strike again, Yushin quickly stomped his knee, dropping him down to a one knee position. As he did, Yushin swiftly and with great violence knee lifted the poor bastard right on the jaw, knocking him out cold in the process. The watching crowd cheered on to another athletic feat from Yushin. Although the combat was indeed real, little they knew that Yushin was the one that hired the lumberjack to chop the tree, as he knew the very proud and hot-headed man would hate to have his job stolen and would proceed to engage in combat. Not only he knew he would absolutely demolish his foe, but also that doing such feats would continue to impress the townsfolks and continue to grow his rising reputation within the desolated region.
With a nod of approval from the village elders, Yushin faded back into the shadows, leaving behind a landscape transformed by his skillful intervention. The large tree, once a threat, now lay in pieces, a testament to the delicate balance Yushin struck between necessity and preservation. The village, grateful for the shadowy ninja expertise, also knew more bout the incredible fighting skills he possessed, with his reputation growing larger and larger every day in the former Tatsumakigakure. By Yushin’s calculations, soon enough he would be the master of that stupid, desolated and poor wasteland, giving him all conditions to continue to grow his underworld empire into other countries.
But the week wasn’t quite over for the criminal. The following day, Yushin found himself entangled in the shadows of a domestic dispute as he received a request from a landlord distressed by tenants who had fallen months behind on rent. The family, though submerged in financial turmoil, adamantly refused to vacate their apartment, creating a tumultuous situation that demanded the intervention of the enigmatic Missing-Ninja, as the landlord wished for their removal by any means necessary.
Approaching the apartment building, Yushin observed the structure, a silent witness to the unfolding drama within its walls. The old landlord, a figure of frustration and exasperation, welcomed Yushin as he arrived at the outskirts of the property, the rendezvous point where the greedy man gave hum the last instructions and arranged half the payment.
The apartment door loomed like a barrier, the last defense for the family within. Yushin, acknowledging the unpleasant nature of the task, approached with a measured resolve and knocked. The door hesitantly creaked open, revealing a family worn by financial strife, their eyes reflecting the fatigue of countless sleepless nights.
The patriarch, a man weary from the burdens of unpaid debts, glared at Yushin with a mix of defiance and desperation. "We won't leave our home. We've got nowhere else to go," he asserted with a stern resolve.
Understanding the familial strife and the complexities involved, Yushin engaged in a calm yet firm conversation. He explained the legal repercussions of their prolonged stay and the necessity for them to vacate, otherwise he would have to use force. The family, however, clung to their dwelling as a last bastion of stability in the storm of their troubles.
As words failed to sway the family, Yushin contemplated the grim reality of his mission. It was clear that a diplomatic resolution was unattainable in this case. The landlord, frustrated by the prolonged impasse, had requested Yushin's intervention with the unspoken expectation that he would ensure their departure by any means necessary, as he was after all a cruel criminal.
The Missing-Ninja, burdened by the unpleasant task, adopted a pragmatic approach. He began by exploring the immediate surroundings, assessing potential entry points and vulnerabilities within the apartment. Yushin, relying on his mastery of stealth and strategy, sought to execute the mission with minimal collateral damage.
Under the cover of darkness, Yushin initiated his plan. He slipped into the apartment unnoticed, maneuvering through the shadows with the silence of a ghost. The family, engrossed in their own struggles, remained oblivious to the impending intrusion.
As Yushin approached the patriarch, his hand rested on the hilt of a concealed blade. The shadows whispered their approval as he carried out the extraction with calculated precision. Subduing the family without causing permanent harm became a delicate dance of shadows and restraint, just using some rope and his ninja skills. With the family now incapacitated, Yushin ushered them out of the apartment, their eyes reflecting a mix of confusion and fear.
The landlord, satisfied that the intruders had been removed, stood at the doorway, silently acknowledging the silent criminal. As the family left their former abode, Yushin lingered in the shadows, his silhouette obscured by the night. The landlord, now able to reclaim the property, expressed gratitude, a mixture of relief and satisfaction evident in his demeanor, as he paid the remaining of Yushin’s fee.
The Missing-Ninja, having executed the unpleasant task, faded into the darkness, returning to his lair. At the way there, he contemplated the last few days, when a flashback stroke him and his mind wandered through his memories:
“The flashback transported Yushin to the day he confronted his father, the man who had shattered the fragile peace of their home by committing an unspeakable act. The images unfolded like a haunting tableau before him, each frame etched with pain and betrayal, as he remembered one by one the punches his old man delivered to his beloved mother as she was already on the floor. Yushin was paralyzed as a statue after finding out the he was the son of a random traveling salesman and not actually from his father, he was unable to react to such scene… and then he lost it. Yushin's mother, a pillar of strength and love, lay lifeless on the floor, a victim of the man who was supposed to be their protector.
In the midst of the chaos, a blade found its way into Yushin's hand. The moonlight glinted off the metal as he faced a choice that would forever alter the course of his destiny. The shadows, witness to the turmoil within him, seemed to deepen as the blade swiftly struck true.
His father, a source of fear and love, crumpled to the ground, life extinguished by a son forced to become an agent of fate. Yushin, standing amidst the echoes of his actions, felt a profound emptiness settle over him. Somehow, he managed to murder both his uncles as well… the weak kid just ended with 3 Senju’s using the power of his rage and grief. The house that once sheltered his dreams now harbored the remnants of a shattered reality.
With a heavy heart, Yushin left the home that had become a tomb of memories, not without burying his beloved mother on their yard, in a last symbolic act. His old village, once a sanctuary, now held the stains of a tragedy that marked his passage into the shadows. The night air, cool against his skin covered in his father’s blood, bore witness to a son severed from his past, a Demon born from the ashes of a shattered family.”
