Okisho was seen sauntering about within the Uchiha district, the traffic today was rich and vibrant. Today, the Uchiha were celebrating a famed local legend within the community. A perk in belonging to a tight knit group, everyone knew who everyone was through some extent. Although it could easily become the bane of anyone’s exsistance, Okisho actually liked the fact that someone kept an eye out for his property when away. The social event was in full force, jovial faces on almost every face. However, Okisho was among the few of the unlicky ones. He, along with another Uchiha, were tasked with a couple of missions.
“1133, 1137, 1140, this is it. He arrives at a lone door, knocking on it twice at a slow pace with force. “It’s me, Okisho. I’m here for, Kazusa! We have a couple of errands to run”, he glances at the foled up paper in his hand to affirm he had the right address and name on file. Which he did. The sounds of joy and cheerful play seemed to get louder and louder. Of all the days he had to work, it had to be today.
As for attire, Okisho is a minimalist, nothing too flashy and void of any logos. He is seen wearing a simple all light grey shirt, and a pair of dark navy-blue slacks which stop at the top of his ankles. A single ninja pouch concealed underneath his black shirt. The pouch his attached to his black leather belt, fastened on the back right side of his waist. His shoes are standard issued shinobi editions, revealing his toes and back ankles. His shinobi headband is tied tight against his forehead, but not so much to cause any discomfort.

Kazusa was grateful he'd finally gotten out of having to attend the academy. Associating with such incompetent idiots was beneath him. The few that actually graduated would barely deserve their place as a genin and the rest were just trash that had yet to realize what they truly were, civilian servants to the village. He couldn't blame them for aspiring to be something greater but such aspirations for them were both useless and boring. Strength only worked one of two ways, you had it or you didn't. If you were lucky enough to be born into the former category you worked hard to achieve more of it and if you were born into the latter... Well, you should just accept your place and move on. That was how he was raised and how he viewed the world. It wasn't his fault he was strong, it just... was.
However, he instead was supposed to do E rank missions to make up for his lack of school attendance. Like he was even capable of learning while doing such menial assignments. But he wouldn't complain, perhaps his teammate would show him some jutsu in the mean time or just something worthwhile. It was while thinking of this that he heard a knock at the door.
“It’s me, Okisho. I’m here for, Kazusa! We have a couple of errands to run”
It seemed his day had started. He took his time approaching the door, doing his best to seem nonchalant as he opened it. This man was expecting a student and Kazusa had yet to form an opinion on him so for now, he'd give the man what he expected. As he opened the door he said, "No need to yell, I'm here and ready to go."
He kept a bored expression on his face as he slipped out but in the meantime had his eyes rove over Okisho, doing his best to assess the man. Strong or weak, strong or weak? Appearances alone didn't tell him much about the man, but from the way he held himself, Kazusa was sure he wouldn't win in a fight. That didn't count for much right now though considering Kazusa himself was only an academy student but it was enough to tell him not to deliberately piss off the man. He'd yet to show if he was anything special. Loads of riffraff had crawled their way up the ranks of the village over the years. This could just be another gutter rat pretending to be something he's not.
Aside from that he waited to follow the man's lead, staying silent and allowing the other one to take the lead. Power wasn't always about dominating over others after all, many weak willed fools made that mistake. Kazusa himself was fine sitting back and staying quiet until he learned more about this 'Okisho' and the missions they were on for the day.

Hearing the steps getting closer, Okisho, turns towards the walkway; his was mind occupied with a somewhat familiar presense. Almost as of he’d been here before. The house, the walkway. Perhaps maybe when he was younger. Finally, the door swings open, along with Okisho slowly turning around to face the student who’d soon become a genin with the right commitment.
Attached to the parchment, a lone letter addressed only to Okisho, contained details about Kazusa’s lack of attendance to the academy. Which meant there was more work on Okisho’s part to help correct this counter productive behavior.
Meeting the gaze of, Kazusa, he sensed a bit of a standoff ish aura about him. Okisho kepted his own calm demeanor, watching the boy analyze him from head to toe. That was because he was looking inward into the house, noticing the layout that he’d also guessed right after a few glances.
“Right, let’s head out.”, he said while turning left onto the sidewalk. He keeps the student in his side view should he follow. “ We have two assignments. We’ll first be heading to the Shinobi Academy, to help with filing documents of the recent graduates. You might come across a few familiar names, if you’d been paying attention to the chunin exams. After that, we’ll take a break and finish the last task.” Okisho would’ve much preferred to knock both of the missions out back to back. But with the added assignment, and the fact that Kazusa was a student, it would be for the best that the two take their time.
Moments later, the two were seen in an office, organizing paperwork. Okisho, scanning through the papers, looks over to Kazusa. “Why did you choose to enroll into the academy, Kazusa? Is it for tradition? Creed?”

Kazusa listened wordlessly and followed the man but couldn't suppress a slight sneer at hearing they were to go to the academy. The place was a den of weakness. You could practically smell it in the air as they approached, the stench of failure and mediocrity. As they settled into the office and began organizing the records for their mission Okisho spoke up again.
“Why did you choose to enroll into the academy, Kazusa? Is it for tradition? Creed?”
He didn't miss a beat as he replied, still rifling through papers. The last thing he wanted was to slow down this useless work. "Enrolling in the academy is mandatory to advance as a ninja, so it was simply a by product of trying to advance. If I could avoid being here I would. But if your real question is why did I decide to become a shinobi my answer can be narrowed down to one word, power. Advancing as a shinobi is the only way to gain true strength in this world. It's also a way to be a part of something greater. The Leaf as a whole is strong, I wish to add my strength to it and cut out any weakness within it. Perhaps one day I can grow strong enough to meet my hero, the strongest man alive."
He paused for a moment as he finished a stack of papers, his statement hanging in the air between them. He supposed he may as well learn more about this man as well. "What about you? Why did you choose to become a shinobi?"

Okisho couldn’t quite understand why of all people, was he the one to explain such creeds and discipline. He himself, was defeated in the chunin exams by a boy no older than 8. The humility alone taught him so much, taught him to build within. Nevertheless, the student’s way of thinking, reminded Okisho of his own nindo. Of course, there were a few notes that were off. The common doctrine of might makes right has plagued the minds of many Uchiha.
“True strength comes from within, Kazusa. Don’t let your bravado, or your lineage sway you into beliving you are above the system. The path you want to go down, will ultimately corrupt you and fill you with distain and resentment towards your fellow villagers. You’ll most likely end up doing something you’ll sorely regret down the road.
I became a Shinobi out of tradition, and fight for those who have fought for us; *sighs* Everyone has to put earn their stripes, no matter how mundane it may seem. When you learn more about the chain of command, you’ll understand in time. Speaking of time. If you really want to move up in the shinobi ranks within the village, just go to school. It would be a pity if you failed due to lack of attendance.”
The filing was done, Okisho shut the file cabinet to his left shut. It was quite the work load. He pulls out the folded parchment with all his notes, checking off the boxes. “Our next task will take us to a studio downtown in the Okinaga District, we have to be there before noon. If you’re hungry, we can stop somewhere along the way?”, he looks towards Kazusa with discerning eyes as he awaited a reply.

Kazusa tried not to sneer at Okisho's words. The man was mistaken and he would correct Okisho's assumptions, "You misunderstand I don't believe I'm above the system, I am the system. Our ninja hierarchy is led by the kage, the strongest in our village and they ensure the rules and systems are in place. But that doesn't mean we quietly follow their rules, that's a trick a deception to keep you weak. To show true strength we must balk at the system and rise up against it until we are shoved back into our place. How else are we to distinguish ourselves and recognize others of true power? How else are we to rise within the true village hierarchy? Don't you understand? The ranks we're given are nothing but semantics. An academy student and a jounin have no true difference between them. Power is the only differentiator and title and ranks are just a junior way of trying to assess it." He began to pant, out of breath in his fervor to make his point. Once he caught it he continued, "I agree with you that true strength comes from within. But it's something you're born with not gained. Time and training only show... people's limitations. And I assure you I'm only lacking in time, not strength."
He waited a few moments and gave the man a once over, assessing his reaction. In truth, he barely cared what the man thought, as he put little stock in anyone who'd not yet made an impression on him. And Okisho... had failed to impress him so far but he'd be a fool to go off his current assumptions. His assessment of the man was still incomplete. Feigning a lack of interest in the man's response he pushed past him and began to lead the way to Okinaga. He then said over his shoulder, "Let's hurry, we shouldn't eat until we've finished our missions, easy as they are."
Not waiting to see if the man followed him he led the way to Okinaga before handing the reigns back over to Okisho to direct them to their final destination.

“Animal…“, he said with disgust. His tone elongated with disapproval that echoed the room. The Uchiha slowly rises from his chair after the awkward pause. His gaze up the young student never broke. The air between then was uneasy, realizing that one day he would have to rely on people like this in the future during high precision missions.
“Your entire, oration of your disregard for the chain of command, is indicative to the point I made about your foolish bravado. You, Kazusa, need to stop skipping classes. Or, you wont be part of anything but addition by subtraction.”, he shakes his head while watching the snobbish child saunter out the door. The child was on the path of striking out and failing the academy, or cutting his shinobi career short due to his lack of respect for authority. Okisho knew it would only be, a matter of time as Kazusa would say, before he would get humbled. What a wretched little thing he was.
Skipping lunch on the student’s behalf, Okisho leads the pair into a brick and mortar studio. He enters first after knocking and being granted access. The photographer, an energetic fellow, bounced along the walls with joy once he saw that help had finally arrived.
Moments later, Okisho was finished with his tasks. Helping with setting up the dark developing room, and even organized the wardrobe for the models coming in tomorrow. With the mission finally done, he makes his way towards the exit. He of course stops by, Kazusa. Still beliving that there would be a chance for the student.
“Remember what I told you, Kazusa. Don’t sully yourself before you begin your journey.”, Okisho is then seen leaving for the admin office to turn in the mission papers. For a pair of E ranks, they both proved to be quite the challenge with present company.

Animal. The word rang through Kazusa's mind as they walked and finally began their last mission's work. Okisho's comment on him evoked a strong mix of emotions. Part of him had simply wanted to sneer, the man simply didn't understand. Which was a strong indication he fell into the weak category of people. It was a shame, but Kazusa had found many of his teachers falling into this pathetic category of people. But part of him felt... confused. He'd only known this way of thinking but he was finding it impossible to find people who agreed with him. At least no one aside from his parents. And while they had raised him he hated them with every fibre of his being. Which made him think, or at least, feel. He didn't like it. In surety was strength, a lack of resolve was weakness. But he couldn't kill this feeling within himself and it made him nervous. Perhaps with time and some mediation focused on the one person he knew could bring him answers would be enough. It had to be enough. Even if a small part of him, doubted.
Before he knew it his work was done and Okisho had pulled him aside before leaving him with some final words. “Remember what I told you, Kazusa. Don’t sully yourself before you begin your journey.”
Kazusa let the confusion hiding deep within him to break out onto his face as the man left but while Okisho may have read all sorts of things within it, all his words had done was make him angry. In his opinion, Okisho was a high and mighty, weak man. One who likely thought his taking an interest in an academy student like Kazusa gave him some kind of power or insight into the boy, he might even derive meaning from 'helping' him. Such an idea was ludicrous, just as ludicrous as the drivel he had spouted towards Kazusa. The idea almost lifted Kazusa's spirits but that confusion still swirled within him and as he left the building, he doubted.
