The day was one of the famous all rain day that was known to bless the land of Water, and particularly the hidden village of Kirigakure. Indeed, the rain fell all day, from morning until now, the late evening, and Izu took the whole day to train her medical knowledge and skill, practicing her acupuncture on a large human-size doll, built with the most precision, and with even inner articials organs and chakra as well as circulatory system, made out of plastic, wood, metal and rubber, a dummy fit for the best medical shinobi schools. The blonde chunin was always practicing in days like this, where getting outside wasnt really an option for fun, unless one had a mission. But for her, this wasnt the case in this day, so she simply honned her skill even more with the needles all day.
The practice, while quite usefull, was growing on the Momochi's teen mind. After all, a few hours of practice was good, but after 10 hours of relentless practice, with multiple books and scroll to keep all in mind, the task grew borring to Izu, who stopped and considered she had practiced enough. Looking outside her window, she noticed that the torrent of rain didnt stop for a second, and the ambiance of cold and wet weather grew on her, making her retract her hands inside the warm sleeves of her oversized jacket, conforting and warm.
''This weather calls for a ramen. Warm, conforting... Lord, i'm getting hungry!'' tought to herself Izu, her toughts getting accompanied by the noise of her belly growling from hunger. Practice made the body crave fuel, and Izu was happy to oblige. She quickly packed up her practicing gear and maniquin for acupuncture and her usage of needles as her shinobi art and took her basic weapons and gear hidden on herself under her clothes, or simply hidden in her pocket dimension or her shinobi pouches. She wore her usual outfit, the oversized Seven swordsman dark blue jacket over a mesh shirt showing her belly, and her classic shinobi black pants. The jacket was so wide and oversized that it hid most of her torso and hands, showing only her fingers sticking out and her head pop out of it, hidding her neck and the majority of her gear underneath, like her reels of steel wire and chain gauntlets. Being only a walk inside the village, Izu didnt bring her Momochi executionner sword, as carrying a two meter long slab of cold murder steel around would be a scary sight for most civilians. Instead, she chose to bring her death kassa umbrella, fitting both as a weapon and a mean to keep herself dry under the torrential weather.
As the girl walked slowly into the streets of Kirigakure, protected under her traditionnal japanese umbrella, she reached a large estate, with welcoming lights in the middle of this darkening evening, inviting her to come into its warmth. It was a large inn and hostel, which housed at the bottom floor one of the most famous and traditionnal restaurant for ramen. As soon as Izu passed the doors, the warmth of the inside hit her like a brick. The ambiance shifted from the cold and humid air around her to a silent rumbling of utensils and people talking softly instead of the constant hum of raindrops, and the dry and warm cozzy feeling of the wood fire contrasted totally with the weather in a really nice way. Shaking her umbrella to dry it up, Izu folded it and chose a chain at the counter directly, not wanting to take a whole table for herself, as she would be alone to eat.
The smell of the place was amazing, with the air filled with aroma of grilled meats, rich stocks and filling noodles, as well as spices mix that made her salivate. After a few minutes, an old man arrived and leaned on the counter, asking her with a big smile what she wanted to eat.
''I'll take the large soy pork ramen please, with extra grilled mackerel. Oh and a side of karaage chicken too. Thanks!'' said Izu calmly, waiting for her food and looking around to see if she saw anyone she knew. The place was moderatly filled, with the weather enticing people to eat ramen, but not too packed that it was loud. No, the ambiance was calm, but busy all at once. After a while, Izu received her large hot bowl of ramen, and started to eat slowly, taking her time and appearing at peace, conforted and cozy while eating.
''Oh yeahhh... Thats sooo good. I needed that...'' tought to herself Izu after her first bite and slurp of the warming dish.
