C Rank Mission : Guard Duty

"Guard Duty huh? Doesn't sound bad?" Xzelaxer mumbled as he walk heading for the village gate.

He heard that there's also someone who would join him in the duty, to guard the gate.  He hope that the guy will be coming soon, or be there before him. He kinda feel bad about it, for the amount of reward he could recieve after completing the mission. Judging by the amount of reward, it seem like something fishy might happen. All he could hope is nothing big to happen, though, if something happen it would also be good for himself to test his own strength, yet grow stronger. He hope he could meet some swordsman, and have som sparring. The excitement heated him up at the same time.

Xzelaxer reach the gate, as he glance toward the gate. It's the gate to enter Konohagakure. He like Konoha, and it's the place he born as well. Xzelaxer glance to his Katana, and back at the village gate. "One day..." he murmured as he he began to grin. Xzelaxer pace a little further, brushing his hair with his right hand, showing a confused face. "And where is that partner of mine?" he murmured looking around.

Vakara had just woken up on the training grounds. Checking his chest he saw a piece of paper clipped to his shirt. It was his guard duty notice. "Ahh..crap!" He said hopping to his feet grabbing his sword and rushing out of the grounds. Leaping on the building tops he was able to cut down some time to get to the wall just in time to begin guard duty. He had about another two minutes to get there. Finally on the last building top he leaped out and rolled, managing to stop just before the wall. He pushed off now back to a standing feet. He wanted to seem cool and casual trying to maintain small breathes even though he just ran across the village as fast as he could physically.



Seeing the only other genin in the area. "Hey...I'm...here for guard duty." Vakara stated finally fully catching his breath. "I suppose your my partner for the day?" With any hope today would be a simple day, a few weak spies try to get in, no one dangerous gets out. Vakara wouldn't mind a brawl here and there but mostly an easy day would be nice. Training was starting to wear on him. "Anyone pass through yet?" He asked wanting to the full intel on current events.



"This is my first guard duty I would like not to have it be failed because I couldn't get here in time." He snickered a bit. "Vakara Senebo. Tai jutsu specialist. And you are...A katana weilder. I assume you have some skill with it? Or i it just for show?" Vakara asked curious about the other ninja. "Have no worries, after those questions I won't need any more information and we can make sure to keep whoever wants to come in and out whoever wants to get out can be sent back packing. I'm in a bit of a fighting mood this morning."

The first human voice echo in his heard except the sound of bird chirpping and the leaf rusting against one another. He glance at the voice that he heard to see a young genin dashing his way. He notice the headband and he's amzed to see a young genin like him. He glance at the black spiky hair which he assume he dyed it white in some place. He notice the bandage that wrap around his right arm. "This guy seem strong for this age. Wait it's just that i'm too old myslef. Damn, i'm pretty old thinking about it." Xzelaxer murmured to himself as he begin to smirk.

"No, not really. To be honest, i just arrive a moment ago." replied Xzelaxer. He observe the man from his cover and the attitude. He seem like a social one...oh and cheerful too. "I'm Xzelaxer by the way...one weird name. Oh right, i can't hide it anyway" Xzelaxer commented over Vakara's assuming. He unsheath one his katana just a little bit that refelct the sunlight to Vakara's eyes. "All together with this Katana right here and the spear, the weapon are called "Three Blood". You ever heard of it? I assume that you heard of it since it's a really famous Fairy Tale. You know...the story of the three brothers." said Xzelaxer as he began to chuckle. Soon he start to regret it and find it embarrassing. He stroke the back of his hair with his right hand, it seem to be his habit. "Seem like i get carried overboard" murmured Xzelaxer as low voice he could but enough to make Vakara heard of it.

He began to head back to the village gate and he point to it. He turn his head back to Vakara, his head still pointing. He show a very warm smile. "So...shall we do this with our very best?" he said at last.

Vakara gave a light sigh. He was pared up with a guy who saw a lot of humor. Fairy tales, great they could exchange stories about princesses and dragons and maybe after that have tea and discuss horses with fire breathing tentacles. No, this was going to be a long day. Vakara thought to himself, the man laughing a bit while Vakara merely gave him a plain look. "Three brothers huh, interesting." He thought heading over to the gate. "Trust me if I give my best were going to be in big trouble. They want us to protect the gate not slaughter spies and thieves." Vakara walked to the highest point of the gate leaning against one of the bricks.

"How long are we going to be up here?" He asked looking up to the sky. Sorry..just a bit impatient but that's alright i'm sure someone will try to sneak in. You see anyone yet?" Vakara asked looking to the other genin. Finally sitting up he stared to the outside of the wall leaning against the bricks. "I'm getting bo-Finally." Vakara perked up seeing rustling in the bushes heading towards the wall. Vakara gripped the edge of his blade leaning against the wall peering over the top of it ready to leap down, leaning almost sliding off the wall but stomping himself using his surface walk technique. Slowly pulling the blade out of the holster. Then out ran the fiend...a ferret. Vakara put his blade away. "Damn, I was hoping for a challenge."

Swoosh

Out of the bushes flew a kunai, Vakara barely moved out of the way, a light cut on his cheek as he fell back to the top of the wall. "The hell, did you see how threw that?!" The leaf genin shot. Getting back to his feet scanning the area. "Did you see where it came from?" Vakara placing the hand on his face whipping away the blood. The enemy was outside the wall but he would regret throwing that kunai. The young genin leaned into the small bit of cover he had pulling out his blade. All he needed was either another kunai thrown or for his partner to see the target and say where exactly he was, then this would end quickly and they could go back to being bored.

Xzleaxer still stand around keeping his guard up high preparing to glance at every sound he first heard and every movement he first saw. It's really a good mission that he can get to train his concentration and keep his guard up high. He's glad it's just around 9 AM and it's very hot. The weather sure are good, and he enjoy looking at the dancing crimson leaves. He look up to thesky to see the half cresent moon and it look as beautiful as ever. While admiring his surrounding, he completely got carried overboard and forget his responsibilty. He snapped himself as Vakara call out and again, he begin to panic.

He look at the boy to see his really cool technique. He's lots oldee than him and he can't seem to match up with him. He's relieve to see it's just a ferret. He shake his head looking down. "I seriously need to grow stronger" he murmured to himself.

Xzelaxer gasp and hastily look back up ashe heard the sound of swift air. He gripthe handle of his Katana with his left hand, ready to unsheath it every time. "Sorry i don't get to see where it come from" replied Xzelaxer as he run to Vakara. He pbserve the distance that the Kunai was thrown. It go pretty far meaning the enemy is close by an djudgingt he area where it land....

Xzelaxer run forward to see a large bush. "Come out or i'll cut you" said Xzelaxer assuming that his enemy is there. It's his tricky technique he learned when he's young. He used to scare his enemy even though he's not sure hmself. Xzelaxer keep his eyes on the bush and as expected a guy jump out swiflty with his body rotating. Xzelaxer narrowly dodge it which lead him to fall to the ground. Xzelaxer doesn't get the chance to react but another enemy jump from the tree swiftly, attempting to cut Xzelaxer into two but Xzelaxer manage to block it in time but he seem to lose in strength. "Who the hell are you guys?" asked Xzelaxer grinning his teeth still blockingthe sword on the ground. The guy jump away from Xzelaxer. "I thought you're a slowpoke." the guy said with a slight chuckle.

The enemy are now in full review. They stand back to back, the guy who jump out of bush earlier head to Vakara where the guy with Katana head to Xzelaxer who started to stand up.

"Seem like our enemies are just some weak guys. We'll end this quickly right, Haru?" said the guy who jumped out of bush. "Indeed, Gael" replied Haru.

Vakara looked on from above as his partner was attacked by a man with a blade. Vakara looked down as a rather large bent blade shot up at him, he leaned back avoiding the blade but it stabbed into the wall. Vakara leaped back too far almost falling off the wall using his focus he once agian used his surface walking technique. Stepping back up to look over the wall to see. Two large hands shot up grabbing his neck,l also a bit on the lower jaw squeezing. Holding him over the wall. Vakara was being held up and couldn't help his team mate. This was bad.

Feeling the tightening around his neck and the deeper laugh. Vakara gasped for air. Until finally he couldn't help it any longer. "You leaf ninja aren't so tough." Vakara couldn't help himself he let out a light laugh. "What's so funny?!" Vakara barely opened his mouth to speak. "Well in a mtter of fifteen seconds you made three major mistakes, one your squeezing mostly my lower jaw instead of my neck, which don't get me wrong any other shinobi wouldn't be feeling to good, but neither me nor average shinobi are in any danger of death. I'm especially fine because my bones are a bit better then the average mans." Vakara snickered. "Second off, your using both hands which leaves you completely open to any attacks and this brings me to my final point..." Vakara grabbed his blade and unsheathed it sending the hilt and bottom of the handle right into the mans throat. "You never...ever attack the one with the higher ground." The man released Vakara gripping his neck with both hands about to fall backwards. Vakara grabbed his vest instead. "No..no...you wanted into the leaf village..you got it."

He rolled the man over onto the other side of the wall letting him fall down it. The man finally got enough air to yell on his weigh down struggeling and quickly throwing out another hook whcih managed to land at the top of the wall as the man allowed his rope to fall through with him slowing him down on his deadly decent. Vakara snickered a bit. "No you leave your enemy with your line of defense." Vakara picks up the hook with both hands and throws it off letting the man fall over half way before he stabbed a large curved hook right into the wall hanging by the handle. Vakara has now been running down the wall, slowing every few seconds to make sure he wasn't going too fast, finally the man looked up only in horror. "And..finally you came in close contact..." Vakara leaps off the wall planting both knee on the mans chest breaking his grip of the hook as both are sent falling down the wall, a look of horror in the mans eyes as Vakara manages to connect and hook onto the wall at the last second using every bit of chakra he had, The man crashed hard into the ground. Sadly with all of the momentum slowed down he was merely hurt not dead. "I'm...alive?"

Crash

Vakara leaped off the side of the wall crashing a knee directly into the mans stomach. The man folded up giving a shout and then collapsing not sure if he was dead or alive Vakara stood up to his feet. "Your last mistake, never compete in close hand to hand combat with a Taijutsu specialist.Now that, that's done...Xzel-partner,,misson complete?"

"I already examine your strength, speed and balance the moment we make an impact a while ago, so get lost, you're no match for me" said Xzelaxer coldly sheathing back his swords. Though that Haru guy look strong earlier for his appearing and stuff, Xzelaxer look down on him. He made a very nice plan with the Gael guy but still...Xzelaxer doesn't care.

"Hey wait, you damn idiot!?! You think i'm weak!! I'm strong and you're the weak one!!! I'm attacking you so unsheath your disgusting swords. If you don't you will feel my wrath of pain!! Stop trying to act cool or soemthing, you're just one weakling br---" shouted Gael in anger trying to stop Xzelaxer from going. But before he could finish his speech...Xzelaxer already cut him into two. "Th--the--the hell are you!?" said Gael and he fall down blood pouring out from the spot that was cut.

"You're one talkative bastard. I even play as a Mr. Nice Guy and let you escape. Yet...you still oppose the danger" said Xzelaxer coldly as he begin to sheath his sword. That the guy he is anyway...Arrogant and Daunting.

He heard an impact made as he quickly glance at it. He's quite relieve to see Vakara stand up from it. "So you win after all, well they're weak to begin with. I just finished him a moment ago. Soooo....let carry on with our mission!" said Xzelaxer as he gave the same warm smile.

It's one long days as the two keep on checking people after people before entering the village. No one seem to act strange and they got bored easily. Sometime the two joke around with each other sharing joy. Without noticing, teir duty end and they complete a very honorable mission. This...is what we called Ninja.
