An innocent meeting [private]
Wed Jul 04, 2012 5:49 pm
Joseph sat at the corner table of a small tavern. The entire place was filled with lowlifes, but they weren't worth his time. Any random ninja, and even most civvies, could deal with a few of these thugs. Joseph leaned back, a tall glass on his table. The back of his chair struck both walls of the corner and he allowed himself to fall forward. He had all his usual things with him, as well as the supplies he got off the Kumo nin. The Kumo nin's supplies laid in one of Joseph's pockets, the senbon a dark red. Aside from his goggles, which sat around his hat, he had everything else sealed away in the scroll currently on his back. He had twelve seals in addition to this, each filled with a capture mechanism that could be released on a moments notice. Finally, there were three more, each filled with a number of dust like things, but smaller then dust. They could light the way into tomorrow, or lead you to another. Those had been sealed much more recently. So, Joseph just watched the door, thoroughly satisfied that he was prepared for almost anything.

Flashback:
The night sky concealed the agent of darkness known as Itsuka, who walked through the gates of Konohagakure. He stepped and continued, seeming to step out of existence and back into it when he had then found his presence being in a familiar place, the vault of all of Konohagakure's information. The door behind him was closed so they has obviously updated security ever since his last visit. The place was a vast collection of information, a huge stockpile of info on almost every single ninja on existence and several underground top secret squads, ranting from basic mission registration to the dates of deaths for several ninja and records and background on everyone. Strapping on rubber gloves, Itsuka went through and gripped each bookcase and shelf, everything that contained information within or on the shelves or cases, absorbing all the information to be contained with the rest he had inside his dimension. It was the perfect theft, after having warped he'd only have been tangible when he warped the info. Afterwards he made a quick escape, warping to Tanzaku Town.
Present Time: 9 hours after Flashback:
The tavern Itsuka stepped into later after having warped to Tanzaku Town was small, but very active with several shady characters continuously coming and going. The inside of the tavern was lit by the warm orange glow of torches bolted to the walls and set around at intervals. Itsuka smiled and felt bad for the waitress, a beautiful young girl with long brown hair, having to walk around in a skirt that was clearly too short for her, having to have inappropriate calls thrown at her by drunken thugs and bending over tables to pass a mug of alcohol to a customer while a man or two would stare at her posterior. The waitress gave back a light, sad smile to him, and another man caught it, looking up at Itsuka and standing up unsteadily, clearly drunk. He began to yell at Itsuka, saying he was flirting with his woman when clearly it appeared the girl had no idea who the man was. Nonetheless, all the other drunken men began to rise, angry with Itsuka apparently having stolen a man's woman. The men closed in and surrounded Itsuka, almost every person in the tavern now standing. The first man threw a punch, but Itsuka smiled and quickly grabbed his fist and squeezed tightly, breaking his hand and twisting his arm as he slammed the man to the floor. And then chaos. Everybody went out into a bar fight and began attacking Itsuka, but he continuously ducked and grabbed as several snapping noises rang out from the room from people's arms and necks, only the ones who had attacked Itsuka being punished with pain. At the end of the fight, several bodies lay face down, either dead or moanin with pain. Itsuka stated calmly, "Hey, you saw that I didn't hurt any innocents just killed the guys who were trying to hurt me the innocent little boy!" the last part sarcastically. Itsuka looked around the room, existence once more altered and changed by the powerful deity. He noticed one boy in the corner of the room, wearing a hat and goggles and sitting against the corner. "Thanks for not attacking me yourself, you look like a suspicious character, how about a valuable reward? I'm sure it'd suit you, least I can do for a 'friend'," Itsuka said lightly, smirking.

Joseph smirked, his hat covering his eyes. Someone had started a bar fight. Oh joy. I might get some action! But nope, he did not. The target of the brawl dealt with them all handily. A feat, to say the least. He obviously had more skill then the average burly guy in a ski mask. A ninja. He had to be a ninja. Joseph just leaned back in the chair again, this time letting it rest against the two walls as it had for only an instant earlier. A few torches were knocked down by the brawl. Joseph quickly took care of those, even as the fight continued. A tendril of steam would work it's way over. Upon arrival, it would implode with such force it would turn to water. After putting out the fire of one torch, it would once again be steam and move onto the next one. By the time the brawl was over, only the employees, the defender, and Joseph himself remained unharmed. The waitress who's bosom had incited the fight was hiding in one corner, the bartender peeking his head above the bar to make sure it was all safe. Only six torches remained lit, one in each corner, and two behind the bar. The rest lay on the floor, not even a spark left on them. The steam, only slightly smaller than when it had began, snaked its way back to Joseph. There, it followed the command of his finger. Twisting round and round, it drew eights and infinities in the air as the other person stood there. "Depends on the job" Joseph would say as his finger shot straight up, the steam following it. Then, fast as he could, he pushed off the chair. One foot landed on the seat, the other on the back. As he went up, he grabbed his hat off his head holding it to the ceiling, the steam rushed into it, and he replaced his hat on his head, in a similar way it had been before. He let the chair fall forward, and jumped over the table as it did such. He landed on the ruins of a table, one let on either side of an info cooks body. Making his way over to the man, he stopped several feet away. An overly dramatic bow followed, and his left foot swept back as his whole upper body bent forward. With a curling motion, his right arm went around and forward, and his left stayed as of glued to his chest. It was a joking gesture, but somewhat deserved for having taken on all them so readily. Even so, Joseph was never one to trust. The water from mugs and glasses behind the man became steam, and hovered under the bodies, out of sight. Should this person try anything funny, it would be the last thing he tried. "Name's Joseph. Joseph Landers," he said as he stood up straight once again. "Might I inquire yours?"

The lights in the tavern progressively went out, extinguished by water vapor appearing and condensing to put the torches out one by one. At the end the only light appeared present around Itsuka and the hatted boy, who now approached in a seemingly elegant yet quite sloppy manner as he bowed. "My word, no need for the dramatic entrance in a world like this Mr. Landers," Itsuka said lightly. He shifted slightly as a presence within another plane parallel to Itsuka searched through a trove of information after having observed Itsuka's surroundings. "Yet again however, I thank you for not adopting the actions of these moronic brutes you see here," Itsuka stated, gesturing with his hand to the pile of bodies around himself. "And as I also said, I believe a reward is proper for this, see I have something to give away. How does every scrap of information Konohagakire contained sound?" Itsuka said, smirkin and releasing a chuckle as he extended his hand prepared to reveal the reward.

It was an intriguing prospect, to gain all the information on Konoha. However, if that were true, how had this person got it all? Joseph was suspicious, and simply trying to come up with an excuse. He was handed one as the only living thug silently began to stand right next to Joseph. The device on he back made a noise as it selected a seal. Right when he knew it would pass the first, it was opened. Nothing seemed to come out save the smoke of release, and the device kept turning. It was no discernible time longer before it stopped and Joseph spun as an item came out with another seal released. As he stood again, he wore a singular metal glove. Grabbing the mans head, he activated the devices inside. The man screamed in pain as his head entered the verge of being crushed, and was silenced as an electric shock knocked him out. The bursts of smoke had been too close apart to tell the difference, even to Joseph, who knew of the two separate events. Joseph kicked the body towards Itsuka, who's name remained unknown to Joseph, where the arm hit Itsuka's leg soundly. This whole motion left him farther away from the person then when he had started. Standing up fully and looking back to the man, he saw the outstretched hand. "Hey, man, all that info seems cool and all but you don't gotta be creepy about it. How about you just walk us there?" Joseph would say. Had the person already started the absorption process, with the visible swirls, they would have been dead. However, Joseph did not know they had STM so, as he walked out, it seemed perfectly natural to grab the hand and shake it. "Pleasure doing business with you. Where to?" Joseph would attempt to say after taking the hand in his.

Itsuka watched as the boy reached his hand out towards Itsuka, still about five feet away. The eyes through which he watched changed red in an instant, triggering a surge of ocular proficiency and ability as the deity's eyes predicted every movement the boy Joseph would next make each tiny fraction of a second, predicting through vision. Through his eyes even the fastest motions went slow and he could observe chakra flow around, seeing chakra infused steam in the boy's hat and under bodies behind the boy, the boy at this point in time still only raising his hand to meet with the level of Itsuka's even though Itsuka was not within reach of him. And within an extremely fast instant. Itsuka's hand which had already been in his coat flashed in extremely quickly to his coat and ripped out a metal weapon, a crossbow bolt already ready and loaded. He whipped it up while Joseph would still be only two inches from his hand being at the level in height that Itsuka's left hand, the one he had reached out for the boy to take. With the right hand that had grabbed the crossbow, still very fast, he would observe a swirl very rapidly forming another body above the boy out of his sight as this new existence he sensed was from the rear and the dual cold sharp judgement of fate swung to the throat of the ill-fated Mr. Landers with steam in his hat. And all too quickly in that instant Itsuka slammed his finger pulling back on the trigger to Zennou Ikuha Senshou, a crossbow bolt sent rocketing to the boy's forehead that would cause a lethal blow. If the bolt had hit Itsuka would then make a blur of his hands and reload the crossbow, making sure he definitely was backed up and watch as the cruel stealthy existence that had appeared judged the boy named Joseph Landers ahead of Itsuka. Should the crossbow bolt extremely unlikely miss, Itsuka would be prepared, protection underneath his coat that would defend his hard planted body, and crossbow being reloaded in an unnaturally and seemingly instantaneous blur of the hands to reload. Truly Itsuka was a deadly tool.

((Due to Itsuka quitting ( ) I think the only thing to happen is for his last post to be ignored and for him to just drop dead.))
As Joseph reached for the mans hand, the hand shot to the persons chest. They collapsed. Joseph, uncertain what to do, sent the waitress and the bartender to get help. However, it was too late. The person died. So, before the two came back, he pulled down his backpack. In a few moments, the dead body was gone, and yet another seal was placed on the scroll. Joseph fled, transforming at the first chance possible.
((Anyone and thing left in Itsu's dimension is still there. I now have all of Itsu's items. Due to the last post being voided, there was no mention of him being a wood clone.))
