Re: Twin Towers (Training, Shinji, NK, ask of invite)

[Thank you very much. In retrospect, and after 12 hours of sleep, I see that I messed up my directions-I had meant to end up on the right, thus avoiding the attack from the left. I guess thats what staying up all night with friends gets you....but I digress.]
In response to Yozora Shinji gave a curt affirmative nod. It would be a bit harder going on the offensive, but it was probably for the better-he was always defending and that did not make for a good well rounded shinobi. Acting quickly Shinji sized up the distance between the two of them, which seemed to be about five meters-more than enough for what he was planning. His attack would in some ways mirror Yozora's original attack, but with a twist of his own to make it all the more effective. Shinji started off at a gentle run (lets say 22 speed) straight for Yozora. Once he was 3.75 meters away from her Shinji would reach into his tool pouch with his left hand, as his right still gripped Makaze, and pull out four shuriken such that they were nestled in between his fingers. Then once he was 2 meters away from Yozora Shinji lets loose the shuriken with a simple flick of his wrist. The shuriken would fly towards the upper half of Yozora. One would go right at her face, one squarely at each shoulder and one would veer far off to the left such that it would only hit a wall as Shinji was not the best at aiming while running. The shuriken would arrive at roughly the same time, thus making them difficult to block especially with Yozora holding her sword as she was. To follow up the attack Shinji would modulate his speed such that he would be about a meter away from Yozora when the Shuriken impacted, thus hopefully allowing himself an opening. However he would not attack from the front as that would be rather foolish and rash.
Instead Shinji feinted to the right with his full speed at the last meter between the two shinobi. The upshot being that he would be running by Yozora on her left. However this would not be his only aim in feinting. As Shinji ran past Yozora he would shoot out his left leg and attempt to kick Yozora directly in the hip. The attack would not cause much damage. At most it would knock her to the side as Shinji ran past, which would be enough for Shinji to be satisfied. Normally he would have used his knife to attack or been wearing his grieve edges, thus making the attack all the more deadly, but in a spar there was no need to use deadly force. Regardless of his attack hitting Shinji would bring himself to a grinding halt exactly two and a half meters behind Yozora's original position and turn around on a dime such that were Yozora to not move at all Shinji would be looking at her back. Shinji was not one for a fierce all out attack: first wear down an enemy with attack after attack and then go in for the final attack. A battle was more more or less a game of chess, however the loser often lost more than just a game. Shinji had learned that well in a academy duel-the scar over his left shoulder still ached to this day and he did not plan on getting another one of those again at least if he could avoid it.

{Dis like completely short, but I'm not in a mood to add details... And sorry for taking some time to respond}
Yozora observed Shinji approach. When he threw the shurikens she realized he would be in a way mirroring her own previous attack. But since he criticized it in a way, it was safe to assume the attack would be more tricky and dangerous than that. Yozora decided not to sit around and wait to see what happens, but actually avoid his initiation altogether. With a quick duck she avoided all the shuriken, which were apparently aimed at her upper part. At that time Shinji would suddenly get on her left faster than she had seen before. Suspecting a nasty hard to counter attack, the girl would slightly lean forward and jump almost horizontally and avoiding Shinji's kick. Flying barely half a meter above ground she would look at him and throw her last kunai aimed at his stomach. By now he would be standing behind her previous position with about three and a half meter distance between them. Regardless of the kunai hitting Yozora would land with a roll and immediately prepare to block any attacks made against her.

{No problem on both counts.}
Shinji did not have much time to react to the kunai that Yozora threw at him as he had just turned around. Luckily he had naturally assumed his fighting stance he had taken at the beginning of the fight as he turned around, thus allowing him to merely shift Makaze down a bit from his chest and block the kunai with the flat of the blade. Fortunately Mazkaze was well built and showed no signs of damage. However Shinji did feel the vibrations from the impact run unpleasantly up his arm-nothing major just a small annoyance at best. Giving a slight shake of his right arm to dispel the discomfort Shinji squared off against Yozora yet again.
He noted that she had not launched any other attacks-it was up to Shinji to initiate the attack yet again. This time though he would switch it up with different attack. However he would mask this new attack within the guise of the old attack, thus allowing SHinji the possibility of catching Yozora off guard and in a false sense of security. Giving himself a mental inventory he knew that he still had six shuriken left to use. Hopefully that was all it would take. To further his bluff Shinji allowed the cocky smile that he had flashed at the beginning of the spar to yet again plaster itself to his face.
Determined to make this attack perfect Shinji reached into his tool pouch and pulled out five shuriken cradling them between the knuckles of his left hand. Gripping Mazkaze tightly in his right hand he charged. He released four shuriken two meters away from Yozora and kept one shuriken in his left hand for use later. This time, unlike last, all four shuriken flew on target: one for her face, one each for her shoulders and one squarely at her chest. And of course all the shuriken would arrive at roughly the same time making it hard to counter them all with only one sword at hand.
Thus far the attack would look exactly the same as his previous one. As planned Shinji made to feint yet again once he was a meter away from her and as the shuriken would supposedly be impacting if Yozora did nothing. However now was the time for the switch up. Instead of running by Yozora Shinji made his feint into a double feint (Both at a max speed of 35). He dodged out to his right, but then moved back on track such that he would be running right at Yozora had he been running, which he was not. Instead upon dodging back so that Yozora would, assuming she had not moved, be in front of him he would gracefully fall into a sliding kick once he was half a meter away from her original position (Lets say in this kick he is moving at a speed of 23 due to friction and what not). The kick would probably hit Yozora just above the knee if she did not move. However she did have to deal with those shuriken somehow and if she tried what she did last time then she would be leaning right into Shinji's incoming kick. While executing this maneuver Shinji held Makaze above his chest with the sharp edge point upwards away from his chest, so as to not stab himself yet be able to block a counter attack from the ground should Yozora somehow counter effectively and still he held the lone shuriken in his left hand.
Naturally were Shinji's attack to hit then it would probably knock Yozora to the ground and probably hurt a hell of a lot considering the mass difference between the two Shinobi. The only downside to the attack was that either way, hit or miss, after the attack Shinji would end up on the ground-a rather dangerous place to be in any fight. Though it could be worse. All that remained to be seen was whether or not the attack would hit. It would be interesting to see how Yozora reacted to this more rash attack of Shinji's after having seen him use a mostly conservative combat style- it would no doubt be a bit surprising.

{I bet you'll find mistakes there... sorry for those. Exam tomorrow busy busy as you well know xD}
Yozora noticed Shinji smile. It raised a certain sense of alert, although there was nothing that she could immediately react to. The man put his left hand into his ninja pouch getting some shurikens and began his attack. It seemed pretty similar to the previous one, though there were a few things different. First was the smile, which suggested some sort of trickery the girl would need to be cautious of. Second was the fact that the attack was too similar, working around it the same way would not work twice. It was one of the things Yozora knew well - in combat never repeat the same move unless you know it would land, since this was an escape move repeating it would be too dangerous. The third thing was revealed when Shinji threw the shurikens, this time they were aimed perfectly. Yozora decided to stand her ground. She immediately sheathed her katana on her back, holding it with her right hand and put her left one on the ninjato's hilt, grabbing it backwards as the weapon was already re-sheathed before. Right before Shinji feinted to her left, she would use used the same technique she used before this time with both blades at the same time. The swings were directed at the shurikens, each blocking two of them away: ninjato coming from bellow deflecting the ones aimed at her left shoulder and head, while katana swing from above deflected ones aimed at her right shoulder and stomach. Right after this move she noticed Shinji's supposed feint right and that he immediately switched back, coming straight at her with a sliding kick. There was a moment to react to that. With her both hands pretty much crossed in after-swing positions - right arm touching her stomach with katana pointed down and her left hand next to her right shoulder with ninjato pointed up - there was no way to use the blades, nor the hands themselves for the defense in time. But her legs we free and while not as fast as arms they were ready and in position for a move. A simple jump up allowed Yozora do avoid the kick, which was directed at her lower part. Mid air she saw Shinji stop sliding right bellow. In this situation her ninjato position was perfect, for she would not need to swing it to make a stab. A moment after jumping up she'd come down, and stabbing the blade (or stopping it if need be) at Shinji if he was not to move away.

{No problem I completely understand and can commiserate with you -_-. My post is rather short and lacks detail as well.}
Shinji's attack had gone perfectly up to a point. He had slid into the kick and that was where his plan went a bit haywire-not anything he could not adapt to, but haywire none the less. Yozora had skillfully blocked all the shuriken before Shinji arrived, which gave her ample time to merely hop over the kick Shinji had aimed at her. Unfortunately Shinji had stopped sliding right underneath Yozora and she was now primed to come down right upon his head with her sword. Thinking with all his might Shinji resisted all his might to not move his head away. Instead he waited till the last possible second to jerk his head to the left allowing Yozora to in all likelihood bury her blade into the ground where Shinji’s head once lay.
Now came the hard part Shinji would in all likelihood have Yozora standing over him. Somehow he would have to find a way out of this sticky situation. Luckily he had the perfect way to do so. He quickly swung Makaze directly at Yozora’s left leg. He hoped to force her to move away from him. To follow up this slash Shinji would attempt to get up and assume a defensive stance assuming Yozora had moved from above him. However if she did not move he would not get up instead to follow up his slash he would flick his left hand upwards. The shuriken that was once cradled there would be sent upwards at a backwards angle right towards Yozora’s back. Shinji would be able to pull off this flick of his wrist, because as he had slid his head had come to rest right between Yozora’s legs. As such his arms would be more than able to move and throw a shuriken. Shinji knew he would do something all that remained was for Yozora to respond and Shinji would act accordingly.

Shinji moved his head away from the blade coming down at the very last moment. Yozora was now basically standing right above him, leaning slightly forwards as she needed to extend her left arm all the way to make it strike the ground wielding ninjato backwards. Though in this quite embarrassing position Shinji could actually just stand up and appear behind her, as almost his whole body had already passed the line between her legs. Instead he chose to try and shake her off himself by attacking her left leg with his combat knife. With her whole body the girl knew this was too sticky to just walk away, instead she decided to end this. She's push the line all the way completely ignoring his attempt to strike her leg as well as any other attacks he might through at her. The katana in her right hand was too long to move quickly. But luckily, thanks to the fact that Shinji did not move his head for the last possible moment before the strike Yozora was prepared to stop it so not to hurt him, and because of that the ninjato's blade did not go deep into the floor, but instead barely penetrated it. With little effort she got the blade out and put it at the man's throat which was inches away...

Shinji sighed. It seemed the game was up Yozora had done nothing he had expected. Instead her sword had hardly buried into the ground, which had allowed her to simple slide the sword over to Shinji's throat. Yet again, at the last second, Shinji stopped the blade of Makaze as it was about to bite into Yozora's leg. Furthermore he stayed his left hand that would have flicked a shuriken into Yozora's back had he continued. With a smile on his face he spoke out in a even tone: "Well you are good I will give you that. Now if you dont mind." At this point Shinji would slowly move his left hand and attempt to brush away the sword. Continuing his speech Shinji's face would shift to blank look: "Would you mind getting off me?" If Yozora did as he asked he would get up and give the girl a gentle bow. With that he would gather his items he had left in the room and go on his way-now it was time to go work on his ninjutsu. As he left the room he would give Yozora a backhanded wave and a final farewell: "Till next time." Assuming Yozora let him go he would travel down the elevator to a lower level of the tower. There was where he would do some major training to get his ninjutsu skills up to snuff, because as of then his ninjutsu was severely lacking.

It was done, Shinji stopped his knife and his left hand which was about to throw a shuriken, that Yozora did not notice at first, anyway this very much meant him admitting his defeat. With a smile he said "Well you are good I will give you that. Now if you dont mind." he obviously wanted her blade off his throat, which was arranged as Yozora took it away and sheathed without making any threatening movements. When he asked her to get off her herself she smiled and stepped aside, then after helping him stand up they would bow to each other. Yozora added "Thank you for the match." As it was clearly now over, Shinji was picking up his stuff and beginning to walk away. As he was about to leave the room he waved at her backhand saying "Till next time." and Yozora shouted back "I will be eagerly waiting for it, because the next time I will be even stronger!" And he left. For a couple of minutes the girl just stood there, stoning the wall where he just was. The whole fight was flashing before her again, though he head was completely empty, not a single thought. Strangest feeling it was, as if it was not her but something else inside her trying to understand what happened back there. When she came back to her senses the felt extremely exhausted, there was nothing more to do here in that condition to she just took the rest of the day off. After all she managed to defeat a Chuunin in a duel. Later she had an idea that at that moment, when she had a flashback of the fight that happened just moments ago, her body was learning from the fight.
