Haru's Missions (Solo) Empty Haru's Missions (Solo)

Fri Jan 25, 2013 10:21 pm
(I'm combining two missions in the first one, and I'll probably just post all my D missions here to save space.)

Mission Name: Patrol
Type: Scouting
Word Count: 300
Reward: 450 ryo

Task: Scout around the village to make sure the area is secure. If anyone who doesn't seem to be an ally is seen, report it to higher ranking shinobi.

Mission Name: Helping The Academy
Type: Help.
Word Count: 400
Reward: 450 ryo

Task: The teachers at the academy are looking for some small assistance. Your job is to simply show a group of three academy students the basics of being your rank.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The three Academy students waited at the doors to the school, where their Sensei told them that their "Genin Advisor" (as they'd called it) would come to pick them up, and show them the ropes of being a Genin in the village of the sky. After waiting for what seemed like forever, one of them spoke up.
"Where IS HE?" Said a short, blonde haired girl.
"Maybe he got lost?" answered a one of the boys.
"There's no way that happened." Said the other. The Academy students sat there complaining, never realizing that Haru was right under their noses. or rather, right over their heads. He sat there on the ledge above the doors they waited at, waiting to see if they would EVER notice him. He figured if they were going to be shinobi, they'd better start acting like it. He allowed this to continue for a few minutes before sighing and jumping down from the ledge, right in front of the kids.
"AAAAAHHHH!!!" Was their general reaction to this, which is what Haru had expected. They defiantly had a lot to learn.
"What the HECK was that about?" Asked one of the two guys of the group.
"AWESOME!" Said the other.
"WHAT THE HELL TOOK YOU SO LONG?!?" Asked the only girl of the group.

Haru gave her sufficient time to calm down, and shut up, before speaking:
"A test." He said simply.
"A test?" Asked one of the guys.
"Yes. And you all failed." Said Haru. "When you're a Shinobi, you are always on guard, always watching. Don't worry, though. They'll hammer that into you during your training." He said simply, unzipping his bag. "Now." He said, as he reached into the bag. "You'll be accompanying me on a patrol. We're looking for any sign of foreign Ninja that don't belong, thieves, anything like that." he explained, as a Husky hopped out of his bag.
"EEEK! A PUPPY!" Shouted the girl, Immidiatly swamping Haru's poor dog, Timber, in affection. Weaseling out of her clutches, Timber dashed behind Haru's legs, keen to avoid being strangled by the little girl. Haru stifled a laugh, as he scratched the dog's head.
"Timber here, will be helping us out with the mission. He's my second set of eyes." he said, beginning to walk. They headed on his normal patrol route, through downtown, around the edge of the City, and back downtown. as they walked the streets, one of the boys became entranced with something in a store window: Evidently a new issue of his favorite comic book. Rolling his eyes, Haru grabbed him by the collar and pushed him to the front of the group.
"Rule Number one: Never get distracted." Lectured the girl. Haru could tell she was the bossy one of the group. There was always at least one in every batch of academy students. the boy she was lecturing, he seemed like the bookworm, mostly quiet, didn't like the spotlight. He could relate to that. The other boy, well, Haru didn't know what to make of him. He was a big kid, so he was probably a big eater, but who was he to judge? Sighing, he veered right as they finished the downtown part of their patrol, he began to loop around the city.
"Can we get something to eat?" Asked the boy he'd been thinking about.
"Are you kidding? We just had lunch!" Said the girl.
"But I'm HUNGRY!" Protested the boy. Haru rolled his eyes. He wasn't good with people to begin with, let alone three academy students who had to follow him around ALL DAY. Time passed, and the complaining increased considerably, before they reached the warehouse- the last leg of the patrol.
Something seems off thought Haru as he tried to ignore the complaining of the Academy students. He heard noises coming from the warehouse, but it was closed today. As well as that, he could make out hushed voices coming from the warehouse: And the workers NEVER talked quietly. Ushering for silence, he activated his Byakugan, which caused the girl standing next to him to squeal with surprise at the intense veins around his eyes. He covered her mouth as he scanned the building. Sure enough, there were the culprits. Two men were standing in the warehouse, talking in hushed voices. examining closer, Haru noticed a strange mark on the headband of one of the people speaking: The sign of THEIR village, crossed out. The telltale sign of a missing Ninja.
"We've gotta go." Said Haru, grabbing the girl's wrist.
"W-Why? Is there gonna be a fight? Do we get to kill someone?!?" Asked the girl Exitedly.
"No." Said Haru, Starting to run. "It's not under my jurisdiction. I just have to report it. They might be too strong to fight." He said, beginning to full-out sprint. He headed back to Headquarters, but ended up meeting the student's sensei along the way. Haru explained the situation to the man, who radioed back to base, who deployed a squad to check out the warehouse.

After finishing the patrol, and returning the students to the school, Haru silently agreed to himself that he would NEVER become a teacher at the academy. EVER.

Haru's Missions (Solo) Empty Re: Haru's Missions (Solo)

Rescue

Rank: C
Type: Rescue

Word count: 1000
Task: A Genin has gone missing, find and rescue them before it's too late!
Reward: 1000 ryo

Haru stared at the girl's room. A fellow Genin, She had gone missing recently, and tis was her last known location. Reportedly, she'd been seen talking with a shady character, similar to the one Haru had met on his last mission.
"Well? What are you waiting for?" Asked the girl's mother over his shoulder. "Are you gonna search the room, or not?" She said rhetorically. Haru stepped though the doorframe, noting that the bed was made, and everything seemed neat and orderly. No signs of a struggle, unless her captor had cleaned the room after the fight. But if that was the case, he'd been thorough, very thorough, a little too good for a Genin to be assigned. If that were the case, surely a higher qualified person would have been assigned... Well... He was good for one thing. One thing that set him apart...

In an instant, his eyes became intense, veins showing and all. This was his signature move, the Byakugan, kekkei genkia of the Hyuuga clan. He didn't bother turning his head as he searched the room, his vision covered everything but the doorway, where the girl's mother stood impatiently. He noticed a note lying under the bed, and scooped it up.

Apparently, She had been in contact with her abductor for several weeks, like a "Pen pal". He'd sent her chocolates, (He saw the open box lying under the bed, eaten completely) which, Haru concluded, had been drugged with something to make her fall asleep. The man had come for her in the cover of night, Whisking her away into the shadows.

"Why her, though?" He asked aloud. He must have had a reason.
"Do you think I have a clue?" Asked her mother angrily, who'd mistook him for speaking to her.
"Not you, I was-" Started Haru, before opening his eyes wide. She had to know something. "Is there anything your daughter did recently? Something to provoke this? Has she been on any missions? Or maybe she knows classified information?" Asked Haru.
"Well...She was on a mission, escorting a trader across the borders to the land of fire..." She said, looking at the floor. "She did get attacked, but she killed the rogue ninja that went after her!" She protested.
"Was he alone?" Asked Haru.
"Heck if I know! Ask her sensei!" She shouted.
"Not necessary, this is a revenge attack, I know it. No one attacks a guarded merchant alone." Concluded Haru.
"Well, great! But where is my daughter?!?" Asked the mother, folding her arms. Haru turned and examined the room again. No signs of where they headed. He'd have to mount a search through the streets, not a fun thing to do, with so many places to check.

Having the byakugan, Haru was good at noticing things out of the corner of his eyes, since they were in the back of his head. He also benefited from a ridiculously huge line of sight, over a mile in any direction, through solid concrete, through buildings, through anything. Knowing this, he couldn't help but notice the girl struggling to get away from a man, running down the street, before getting tackled by him, and dragged into a nearby building. Whether or not she was the girl he was looking for, Haru was obligated to help her. He opened the window, jumping out.
"Be right back." He said over is shoulder to the girl's stunned mother. He landed on the fire escape, leaping off and tuck and rolling into the concrete, sprinting all the way. He saw the man attempting to drag her into a hotel room, but the girl was putting up a good fight. She was a shin obi, after all. Haru could tell that much from the way she fought.

They were several floors up now, but that didn't stop Haru. Without thinking, He jumped at the wall, running up it as if it were the floor beneath him. A basic technique of the shin obi, but endlessly useful. However, Haru could never escape the feeling of blood rushing to your head that he received when using it, so he preferred to climb with his hands. As he lost his momentum, he did just that, grabbing a ledge and flowing chakra to his hands, climbing the wall with ease. He jumped in through a window, dashing to the door of the room they were fighting in. With an emphasis on WERE, because the girl was knocked out now, and the man held a kunia to her neck (Fun fact, Kunia were never actually used as weapons by real Ninjas, they were farming tools. I just learned that today (: ) Haru reached for his shurikin holster, knocking the Kunia from his hand with a well aimed throw.

The man, who was wearing a black duster and sunglasses, recoiled in surprise, before glancing at Haru, who full body tackled him off the girl (And out a window.). As they landed on the fire escape, Haru realized that was probably a bad move, but he didn't care. He stood up, as did his opponent, who wielded a knife, viscously pointed at Haru's throat. Sighing, Haru took up his gentle fist stance, beginning his attack. He rained blows on the man, striking chakra points.
"Eight Trigrams, Sixty Four Palms!" He shouted, as he went in for the final blow.

The man deftly caught him by the wrist, looking like a wreck from the blows that had already struck him. He stabbed at Haru's gut, but Haru dodged back, stomping at the man's foot, who recoiled in pain. Haru took the opportunity to twist the knife out of the man's hand, tossing it off the fire escape (It landed perfectly in a trash can), Before head butting him, knocking him over.
"By order of the village of Tenkagure, you are under arrest." Said Haru, placing his foot on the man's chest. "Surrender." He added.
"Never." Said the man simply, grabbing Haru's foot and swinging him over the rail. Haru drew his Tomahawk, catching the rail with it, and swinging back up, Kicking the man back over, who fell over the rail. He screamed all the way down, before landing with a deafening *Crack!*.

Haru sighed, looking over the rail. Pulling out his walkie-talkie, he called back in for a clean up crew, as he walked back into the room where the girl lay. Haru scooped her up in his arms, kicking the door open, and returning her home.

(Can we get stat poins for missions? I was wondering.)
