The Road To Genin [Solo training, P] Empty The Road To Genin [Solo training, P]

Tue Apr 02, 2013 4:25 pm
It was time, time for Jin to start training for the Genin exam, he was already rather peeved that he had missed it last year around due to general tomfoolery, well, mostly just missing the entire exam due to sleeping in, the stupid idiot.
Nonetheless, this year around, he was determined, determined to pass the Genin exam with flying colors, which he wanted to do as soon as possible, because as he was he felt ridiculously weak, he knew he was capable of so much more and that he had so much potential as a ninja, potentia literally waiting to be exploited, and that he would, he didn't really have any goals as of yet, but he knew that whatever goal it was, his future skills would help him achieve it, strangely, it wasn't as if Jin actually hated any village enough to actually destroy it or whatever, so he didn't really know about becoming a Missing Ninja, it seemed really kind of unnecessary, but anyway, the future was the future and all of that would be decided later on in his life, which held an awful lot of opportunities and different routes to take, the routes could snake to a path of good, a path where good deeds and selflessness cultivate the fruits of your effort, or, he could spiral down into a route of evil, getting what he wanted by killing, stealing and pillaging, this was really a route of pure darkness where taking it brewed hate, rejection and resentment from others, an incredibly delicate route to take, that or it was just solitary, staying alone and not associating with anyone and staying perfectly neutral, contently constructing your own route as you went alone, there would be no clear path towards destiny, but the destiny would easily change depending on the path.

Nonetheless Jin was way too tired to think about that kind of shit now, if anything at all, he'd probably just conform with some of the people in his team and just do whatever the hell they do, it was all to be seen later on in life anyway, and it would be then that he'd to make the decision on what he wanted to do with his life, and what his ninja way would be, if Naruto were to explain this, Naruto himself, a man now in the book of legends for choosing good as his Ninja Way and eventually becoming Hokage, all of the citizens resented him at first, but from his actions eventually became someone who people idolized, and a person who people were jealous of and wanted to be, now that Naruto was dear well over 200 years ago his story had somewhat faded, especially among the world people live in now, which hadn't evolved at all due to the unfortunate natural disaster which had deprived so many people of their homes, Jin couldn't really imagine, well, he didn't really want to imagine anything, he had still just woken up and all of this was rather uneccessary but he didn't really care, he was really feeling mixed about this, knowing that today he'd start his journey to become a ninja a SECOND time over, it all seemed pretty annoying, but it gave him a familiar feeling as if he had already done this before, besides the teachers noted that besides his laziness he had serious potential as a ninja to the speed of which he mastered chakra elements, learning the Earth element as soon as he was 7 years old, and the Fire element when he was 8, not even Naruto learned his elements at that age and at that speed, he was truly a child prodigy but his sheer laxitude made all of this talent basically unusable, but when Jin wanted to knuckle down, his talents were truly shown, his teachers knew that Jin could be a powerful ninja, his clan, the Kirigakure-born Terumi were hailed for having one of their Kunoichis become Mizukage, where she showed the strength of her bloodline to the entire world, almost decimating the infamous Sasuke Uchiha, but unfortunately Jin never knew of his Terumi origins, as far as he was concerned he was just a shinobi with a natural talent for manipulating elements, it was just really unfortunate that he never really exploited it for all its' worth during the Academy, at least now he had a second chance and he wasn't going to miss it, this time around he was going to show his worth to the academy judges and prove that he really was fit to become a ninja.

He started by getting his lazy ass outta bed, first of all, and then probably going downstairs to get some food before working his ass off wouldn't be a terrible idea, and he decided to follow his own wisdom, getting dressed in a red slightly ragged and thin cloth shirt to protect him from the heat outside, there was no way ANYONE needed winter gear around this place, so he could easily go out, he put on some white slacks and some red boots with steel tips, he decided that that was about enough, he went downstairs and took a Bento box, which had already been wrapped by his mother, adopted, of course, it seems that both of his parents weren't there, not surprising as they probably had to tend to the market which they owned, selling various fruits and vegetables, it didn't really matter, because at least there was some food left, and he'd eat it once he hiked up the volcano to train in the scorching hot conditions so as to get a better grip on his Ninjutsu, as it was probably essential to actually master such an important part of ninja combat, as it would fully exploit the use of his natural talent with elements, it would obviously come as a neccessity later on, as he wanted to fully exploit his talents for Chakra manipulation.

He exited through the front door, making his way down the path towards the volcano, beginning to sprint to arrive there a lot faster, besides it'd properly train his speed, which would be a lot more useful for training his jutsu as the faster he could perform it the faster he'd be ready for an attack, that or to just blitz his opponents out in hand to hand combat, which Jin would let to get a better grasp on, weapon combat too, all in all he just wanted to know how to become a complete fighter, but he figured he'd really need to wait a while before that happened, definately after Chuunin and that could be quite a long way away, nonetheless, he was prepared to face whatever would hold him back from passing through all the ranks, he was determined as all hell right now and he wasn't going to slack off through the exams.

He walked up the trail heading towards that fiery volcano in the distance, where the heat was almost intolerable, however, Jin who had already mastered Earth and Fire was someone who was built to train on these sorts of terrain, the sheer heat of the volcano and the Earth making up its construction was definately an ideal terrain for those with a Lava bloodline, not to mention the skin-melting hot steam that it blew out was definately akin to a Boil Release user's jutsus, Boil Release is famous for being an element which is stopped by nearly nothing, it was even able to melt Susanoo's near-indestructible protective shell, it also basically killed any life forms it went into contact with, melting them almost instantly, trees, leaves, wildlife were all killed when this menacingly destructively hot steam was unleashed against the enemy, Boil Release had no limits in terms of destruction, it was a white cloud of sheer death and despair, and truly a force to be reckoned with, as was Lava, a substance so hot that it could carbonize en entire Human and have them set in solid carbon, Lava was truly a substance which was a force to be reckoned with, as it's in a liquid form and has similar effects to water, only its' viscosity is far superior to that of any form of water, however it could be manipulated with the same effect, and that held a lot of possibilities for jutsu and techniques, and maybe also combat styles.

By now Jin was rather high up, the path climbing upwards towards the Volcano as the heat slowly began to climb, after every 10 meters everything started to get hotter and hotter, and it was beginning to get uncomfortable, but Jin liked hot places and it didn't bother him that much, besides, the heat should inspire him to learn more about Fire, and learn how to properly master the element, as what you needed to think about to create Fire Chakra was, well, fire, but heat was a factor, whether they were fires of determination, anger, you had to think about bright, flickering flames and the effects that they had in order to properly master Fire Release, Earth release was different, you had to think of something hard, the Earth, the ground, and form a solid mass of rock, you had to imagine so many different things in order to imagine a chakra nature, it was very hard and Jin even wondered how the hell he managed to pull such a feat off at such a young age, and he supposed that his prowess when he was young justified some of his arrogance which he displays today.

Right now, he had ascended even higher up the path, where ash started to rain down from the black clouds that the volcano gurgled out, the black ash beginning to cover the grey paving stones which formed the path, and everything was just getting hotter and hotter as the volcano came closer and closer, he could feel the heat emitted by the lava and continued to run, plus the heat that was running through his body at the time made all this almost intolerable, not to mention he'd also have to eat during his training, all of that made all this that much more strenuous, he didn't even know if the nausea caused by sheer dehydration would make eating impossible, but that was all to be seen later on.

A couple of minutes later, he arrived at the peak of the Volcano, the heat here was almost unbearable, the volcano rumbled as magma bubbled out of one of the cracks and made its way down a stream and into the sea where it fizzled and made pillows of lava under the sea, that was why the Volcano village was gaining so much territory, the volcano erupting was making it larger.

Jin put his bento box on the floor and focused, imagining flames, scorching hot flames, scorching hot, bright, yellow flames, and he then tried to imagine the Earth element, hard, resistant blocks of Earth, resistant to almost anything, next he tried to imagine both of them at once and what would happen if the two elements had been melded, and in his hands, he could feel the lava chakra beginning to form, it was hot, much hotter than the fire chakra, but he could feel it burning, it didn't hurt but he knew at that moment that the Lava Release was something that he was capable of, maybe not now, but definately later, he'd be able to use such a powerful natural element to his advantage in combat, he tried to manipulate it more, but it was no good, the chakra was manifesting but it was not taking any tangible form, he'd need to train a lot harder before he actually achieved the feat of being able to use Lava jutsu, but he'd definately manage eventually, the opportunity of having such a powerful element on one's side was an opportunity which he couldn't miss out on, he had a lot of plans for this element, and he was going to keep practicing it until he eventually got the hang of it, after all, he had plenty of time ahead of him.
