A letter had been sent out to the village of Tengakure via a carrier turtle. It was in hindsight a bad idea to send one of the slowest creatures to ever walk the face of the earth to be used and it was with a heavy heart that Kaede had the turtle brought back from outside the door and instead gave the message to a bird to send. The letter was as follows:
Yo Dear Tenkage,
My name is Kaede Uzumaki, the current leader of the village known as Shimagakure. In case you are not aware of such a village then I will enlighten you. We were one of the villages that came under control of the Sky Nation during the conflict that I believe is referred to as the Fire-Sky Nation war, or something along those lines. It was for this occupation that I took control of the village and am writing in order to invite you to the islands. I do this in order for us to establish a relationship of mutual trust and respect. I believe that if we set aside what has happened in the past we will be able to come to an agreement that will better both of our villages.
I hope to hear from you soon,
Kaede Uzumaki
Leader of Shimagakure.
With the message sent out Kaede went back to doing what he had been doing for the past few weeks, relaxing. He wondered if he had been too formal with the letter. Only time would tell it would seem. Maybe it was a mistake on his part in choosing this village as a starting point for relationship building, he believed however his actions would benefit himself and the village, but mostly himself.
