The Two High Clouds
Sat Jan 25, 2014 4:17 pm
At an early hour in the afternoon, Ganki made his way back into the village. Like always he had nothing to do, nothing to do but drink, which he found really boring. Sure it was fun at first, to taste the strong flavor of alcohol under age, but it really got boring after. Now, without cause, without a clue, Ganki walked. Passing the many villagers that he served, whom ironically had plenty of things to do themselves. There wasn't much people to talk to, due to the fact that they seem to disappear from existence every now and then, Ganki was alone, without a friend. His figure was slouched slightly, hands shoved deep within his front pockets of his jounin uniform, his head also tilted forwards. His depressed face hid from view by his now seemingly long brown plump hair, which was in need of a hair cut, or shape up. In fact, Ganki couldn't remember the last time he cut his hair, that was how bad his boredom developed. Being cooped up in Kumogakure sure did suck now that there wasn't anything to do.
Just then, a thought occurred, was that the key to his problem. No, he couldn't, but if he could, it would sure end his boredom. taking a deep breath in only to blow out hot air from his mouth, he gave deep thought into it while he walked.

The smell of all kinds of culinary concoctions wafted through the cool mountain air, the source? One of the few fine dining establishments in the village hidden in the clouds, the black and blue bandit. It is from the aforementioned restaurant that Ukita Hideyasu, Chuunin of Kumogakure, stepped onto the bustling streets from. The swordsman found that there was not much to do in Kumogakure, so he had taken to trying the local cuisine of the village. He had tried some truly awful dishes, but as of late he had been on a streak of what he would call some of the best food in Kumogakure. Despite his recent gorging Ukita was sure to keep himself in top fighting condition, what kind of shinobi would he be if he did not? The self proclaimed samurai currently wore long baggy brown pants that were just long enough to inhibit his movement. He also wore a long sleeved white short over which he had his seemingly omnipresent samurai armor. On his left hip was a heaven's sorrow ninjato, which had not seen much real use lately outside of training dummies. Furthermore the chuunin's almost grey hair was pulled back in a smooth clean braid that ran almost halfway down his back.
Moving through the crowd, Ukita found himself going over how he would deal with each passerby if they were to turn hostile. It was an odd exercise, but the chuunin found it rather useful. The only thing he omitted in his plans was using his natural sharingan. He tried to avoid having to use it, even in his ridiculous mental plans. Old man with a pitchfork walking by? Ukita wagered he would quickly draw a kunai and take him out. Woman with a bushel of wheat? He figured he could quick draw his sword and have it sheathed before she even knew she had been cut in half. Then someone familiar came under Ukita's analytical eye: a boy with a mop of brown hair. Racking his mind Ukita recalled what the boy was named: Ganki, the lost hat guy. Not wanting to be a complete social outcast Ukita raised his hand and waved at Ganki, who was about five meters in front of him. Then, regardless of whether Ganki noticed, him, Ukita would call out a genial greeting, "Hey Ganki! Long time no see, how's it been?" Naturally after saying this Ukita would stop waving and bring his hand to his side. He would then advance until he was about a meter and a half away from Ganki.

While in his train of thought, given that he had plenty time to think about it, a choice was made. Though the choice felt somewhat uncomfortable, he still chose to made preparations for it, for when the time comes Ganki would be ready to carry out his plan. And with the current people he knew, he figured it couldn't be to hard to build the bridge. The only question left was, could he cross it. Then, in response to his name being heard, Ganki's head snapped upwards instantly, a reaction no doubt to his call. But who could it be he wondered, the figure advancing towards him. Within seconds after, it became clear to who it was, a smile formed along with his posture straightening upwards. His "mop hair" flung with the motion of Ganki's head, his face now happy with excitement.
"Ukita, no way it is you. How's it been bro? You know I still haven't found my orange hat you know." His demeanor completely changed, no more was he the depressed loner, but now a cheerful fellow, as he ought to be. Ganki was a social guy, he need people around him to get through the day, interact with, play with, he was such a kid at heart that made people wonder, why would such a guy become a ninja? As he stood across from Ukita, his vision obscured to the point where he could only see Ukita's mouth from the result of having long plumb hair, he then thought that perhaps the two should go out and do something whether it be to have fun or to cause comical chaos. The fact that they haven't hung out in a long time was more than enough to prompt Ganki into asking him. This suggestion would come after the response of Ukita, should he reply or not. "Yo, listen Ukita, since we haven't hung out in a while," his figure leaning over towards Ukita slightly to help express his exaggeration, "and I do mean a long damn time. We should go out and do something, that is if you don't have anything else to do because I'm bored outta my mind, ya know?" All he wanted was to have fun, as much fun as possible before the time came.

Ukita could not help, but flash a weak sympathetic smile as Ganki mentioned that he had never found his hat. However, the smile was quickly swept away and replaced with a contemplative face as the jounin asked Ukita if he wanted to have some fun. Naturally Ukita was up for a bit of fun, the only question was what Ganki classified as fun. Ukita knew many shinobi saw drinking copious amounts of alcohol as fun. Hopefully Ganki had something else in mind. The only way to find out was to ask, "Yeah, I need something to do and a bit of fun is never a bad thing. What did you have in mind?" With that Ukita would simply wait for a response from the mop-head. In fact, Ukita allowed himself to relax. It was an odd sensation, one he had not felt for a long time. Perhaps a bit of fun was something he needed.

With the accepting of his proposal, Ganki's resumed his normal posture, yet it was still poor at glance. Now it was time to figure out what they could do, perhaps they could go to the nearest bar and go mad with the boze. Nah, as Ganki thought this to be too mainstream. He wanted the both of them to do something exciting, fun, something that wasn't and everyday chore to him. Still looking upon the waiting Ukita, while in train of thought, it final came to mind. Where this thought came from, well from looking at Ukita's appearance no doubt. "Oh I know, wanna go mess around in the training grounds, since you are armed to the teeth, you know?." Ganki laughed a bit with his hands following with the correct gesture.
Ganki wasn't the one for sparring, since he didn't like fighting himself. But doing something out of the ordinary every once in a while wouldn't hurt. Funny, how kumogakure's Anbu captain doesn't like fighting, why oh why did this softy ever become a ninja?

If one was watching closely they could see a cool glint appear in Ukita's eye as Ganki mentioned a spar. Ukita lived for a good fight and what better fight was there than against a jounin, one of his supposed superiors? Allowing a quick sly smile to flash across his face the chuunin replied to the mop headed boy in cool tone that masked his eagerness for a good fight, "Yeah, I supposed I am a bit over-armed, bad habits and all that. However, I am more than willing to spar, always wanted a chance to fight a jounin." Naturally Ukita had no clue Ganki was an anbu, but even if he did it was very unlikely that something like that would put out the fire that was slowly rising in the Uchiha. He could feel the cool tingle of adrenaline already starting to pulse through his body and he was not even at the training grounds. This thought reminded the chuunin that he should probably get going.
Raising his hand in a prompting gesture Ukita spoke once more, "Shall we go?" Not waiting to hear Ganki's reply, Ukita went on his way taking long clean strides on the way to the training grounds. In the back of his mind Ukita's mind raced. He was trying to think of far too many things at once: what strategy he would use, what strategy Ganki would use, should he open with the eight gates? All these ideas and plans seemed to flash before Ukita's eyes. However, one guiding thought remained constant throughout each plan: he wanted to avoid using his sharingan if at all possible, then again perhaps it was time he embraced his heritage-this would be no easy fight after all. Only time would tell if he could live up to his internal vow.

All that was left to do was to go get his supplies from his office, it was time for Ganki to become armed as well. Wondering what Ukita's suggestions for the fight, Ganki could only watch him walk away, already heading towards the training grounds. What a hasty little guy he was, someone was looking forward to a fight. Ganki couldn't like to himself, he was actually looking forward to the fight as well. Ganki chuckled menacingly. Especially when one has a secret agenda behind it all. Ganki's laughter got louder an louder to the point where all the passing villager would stop to observe the crazed nut. With a flash, Ganki disappeared from sight, making his way towards the office to pick up his equipment.
Moments later, As Ganki finished putting on his gear, Ganki examined his package that arrived from Sakura Corp. The brown box sitting on his desk, which contained the item that needed to be tested, was now opened by Ganki. With it, came instructions on how to use this item properly, Ganki scratched his head as he read. Following the procedure, Ganki poured out the green leafy substance, onto a small paper, only to be rolled up into a fag, two was made. "Weird...", Ganki had never done this before...
With that, Ganki jolted out of the office, with the two new items in hand, ready to test them out once he would reach Ukita. Once he arrived to the training grounds, seeing as no one was here, he waited for Ukita to arrive. The grounds was a large flat rocky plain, which was surrounded by many mountains. The entrance to the grounds of obvious and pretty easy to get to. His figure was incased in his Savar suit, a katana strapped to his back by cloth, the hilt tipped to his right side facing upwards. And his favorite dagger strapped to his left waist, ready for use. All that he wore was that of Sakura Corp. Among other things Ganki wore his special contacts, wore a satchel that was strapped to his back waist side that carried an abundant amount of things. Ganki was now armed to the teeth as well.

Ukita arrived at the training grounds a bit after Ganki, which struck him as rather odd, was Ganki that fast? This simply gave Ukita a reason to make use of his Sharingan, which he did not much like. However, he disliked losing a lot lot more. All the same Ukita approached Ganki such that he was squarely five meters away from the jounin. Speaking up a deadly clam even voice the chuunin questioned Ganki, "So, whats the plan? Any rules besides the obvious?" Ukita was referencing the idea that they would not kill each other. Little did the chuunin know that Ganki may have something else planned. After all why else would someone come to the training grounds if not to spar. Perhaps he had been too hasty in assuming, but that point of view was unseen by the Uchiha. He had one sole idea in mind, beat his opponent, he could not fathom what else there was to be done. Naturally Ukita was ready to fight at any moment even if Ganki were to cut him off while he spoke, he was not one to be caught off guard, well, not usually. In fact, from the second Ukita started speaking his right hand gripped the hilt of his blade, ready to be drawn. Call him paranoid, but it always paid to be cautious.

Finally Ukita came, "Took u long enough, ya know?" Ganki staring at him, ready to introduce something that could change Ukita's life forever, Ganki's as well. The package did state that the substance was mood altering, but Ganki proceeded to carry on. "The plan?", Ganki replied, Ganki smiling before uttering his next words. Ganki had also took note that Ukita had placed a hand on his blade, he was so tense. "You alright Ukita, you look a bit tense? In fact, ever since I suggested that we spar a bit you've been acting funny." Ganki peered into the lower half of Ukita's face, his hair still being quite a nuisance. "What you need is some of this, come on, after we take some of this we can start our spar." Ganki slowly reached into his right, a pouch that was located on his shoulder, only to pull out two brown freshly rolled fags with his left hand. Each of them contained the freedom giving herbs for all to enjoy. Ganki would place one in his mouth, while extending one towards Ukita with his right hand. Ganki would only light his if Ukita would accept his offer, "Take a hit of freedom bro", Ganki smile was forever wide.

A sole eyebrow quirked up on the face of Ukita, in a word he was confused. In this moment of confusion the chuunin loosened his grip on the hilt of his sword and walked forward with a smooth clean stride. Not saying a word Ukita simply took what Ganki offered him and, much like Ganki, placed it in his mouth such that it rested in the left corner of the his mouth. Following the jounin's lead Ukita, with his handy dandy matches lit up. Letting it smoke up a bit the chuunin finally inhaled and took a long drag. While he did this Ukita began to walk away from Ganki and gaze out at the mountains that made Kumogakure both a picturesque and rugged place. As he gazed out at the mountains a slow change came over the chuunin. He could not quite place his finger on what it was just yet, but his whole body felt loose and more over he felt as if he was not really connected to his physical body. Odd, no?
An odd smile passed over the Chuunin's face as he turned back to look at Ganki. Something Ganki might notice is that Ukita's eyes were now blood red, the three tomed sharingan and perhaps something more that made the blood red almost look hazy. Shifting the fag Ganki had given him from side to side as if thinking something over Ukita spoke in an almost laid back tone that bordered on whimsical, making sure to hold onto the fag with his left hand so it did not go to waste while he talked, "Ganki, my man....." Ukita trailed off as if he had lost his train of thought and then continued in the same tone, "You realize I am going to beat you,........... right?" With those words said Ukita let out a laugh. It was not a maniacal laugh or anything of the sort. More so it was one of childish amusement and one that had not graced Ukita's lips in a long time. Placing the fag back between his lips, Ukita's hands dropped to his sides. Oddly enough he really felt like using pure taijutsu. Reckless? Yes. Recommended? No. Fun? Without a doubt.
