Holy S*** it's cold

Wrapped in a blanket and feeling more than a bit cold, Miyu walked towards the village of Yuki in her Tank tops and jeanss, wishing once more she hadn't lost her bag. All she had other than her clothes was her katana and some ryo, even her headband had been lost on her journey. Miyu's body was shivering as she neared the gates, though she didn't even notice them a she lumbered forward, her hair had even fallen out of it's braid and partially obscured her face from anyone who might see her approach. Some part of her mind was trying to figure out how long it would be before her body began suffering permanent damage from the cold, but most of it was trying to keep moving her legs. The small cuts on her arms and collarbone had finally scabbed over though, which was nice. The cut she had received while fighting bandits that was on her side was healing well too, though pain flared through her side as she walked. She was about 6 meters from the gate when she tripped and fell into the snow, feeling the sharp pain of cold smash into her face. She didn't move at all, she had given up. As far as she knew, she wasn't even near the village. She remembered a vague memory of someone saying that dying in the snow felt like falling asleep, or maybe it was something else, she didn't know. But she felt she still had some time before reaching that point, because all she felt was pain. From her wound, from the cold, from her stomach which had grown hungry again.

Charllote and Anne were out patrolling the gates.  Maku wasn't in need of their services at the moment, and as such he had asked them to do simple guard duty for the village.  As they were walking around the village, they discovered an unfamiliar chakra signature in the distance.  Moving in, they saw Miyu in the snow.  "Are you doing."  "OK? Can we." "Help you?"  They would ask, finishing each others sentences like they had a tendency to do.  

They would watch the fallen ninja for any hostile actions.  Both being comparable to ANBU of a major village, they were prepared to nullify any and all threats that they would come across.  Both also noted that this female was incredibly unprepared for the cold.  They would stand over the girl until she spoke, then they would offer their services.

"uuuuuuuuugggggghhhhhh" the long grown escaped Miyu's lips as she turned her head in the snow, looking up towards the two girls. If she wasn't tired and in pain, she might have given the girls a smart ass response, because seriously she was laying in the snow dressed in 'summer clothes'. But due to her current state, all she could muster was, "...yes." it was faint, barely audible. For Miyu, admitting to needing help was one of the worst things she could do, she wanted to help others not be helped by them. Miyu tried to move her left hand to stand up, but it was stuck in the blanket and she was to weak to get it out. So she just remained prone, looking up towards the girls, barely conscious at this point.

Both ANBU looked at each other, and decided she was of no immediate threat.  Standing on either side of the girl, they picked her up and carried her in towards the village.  They would walk in the direction of the hospital each with an arm under the girls.  They would file a report with Maku, but not before they knew more about this girl to have a proper report with.  No reason to unnecessarily bother him more than once. 

"Were are you from miss?' Charlotte asked as they walked.  She realized the girl was weak, but she would still attempt to press her for information as they made their way into the village.  The village was bustling as they made there way through, people going about the business.  All in all life moved on in the harsh north.  The village was resilient in that regard and little had probably ever changed here.  As they walked, Anne also removed her jacket and draped it over the girl, trying to help warm her up some as they made their way through the village.

As the girl's lifted her up Miyu and carried her through the village, they drew a few looks from villagers going about their business. Recognition flashed upon the faces of some as they realized the girl was Miyu, the girl who had left the village not to long ago to go train in the way of the sword. No one walked up to the anbu girls to ask what happened however, they didn't want to interfere.

"....from.... here." it hurt to talk. Miyu tried to walk in order to assist the girls with carrying her, not because they needed help but because she didn't want to feel so useless. Still, despite her efforts the girls would still have to half drag her to the hospital.

Arriving at the hospital both anbu would be shocked to learn that this girl was a Yuki nin.  They had never seen her before, and wasn't sure we're she fit in to the great scheme of things.  Getting her checked into the hospital Anne would ask a couple more questions, " please tell us your name and rank." she would say.  At this point they would be in a room with Miyu in a hospital bed.

Assuming she was cooperative and told her the information, Charlotte would rush from the room to inform Maku of this development.  Anne stayed behind to keep watch on the girl.  " we are signaling the Yuki leader, he will surely want to speak to you." she would say.  As she spoke food was delivered to Miyu, and the medical nin of the hospital would begin working their magic to help her recup.

So much warmer in the hospital. That thought dominated Miyu's mind as she was dragged through the building. She was able to forget about all of the pain she felt for a mere moment as she basked in the warmth of the inside. Then she remembered she was hungry, tired, and her body still felt cold. Somehow nothing permanently damaging had occurred from her walking to Yuki without proper attire or food.

"I was... a chunin...... names... Miyu." she still had trouble talking, not only did it hurt to speak but she felt so short of breath at the same time. It wasn't till after she spoke that she realized she was in a hospital bed. She heard something bout getting the leader to speak with her. She started to wonder if Demetri would be mad at her for being gone so long. Food was placed in front of her, but some medical nin were starting to use their techniques to heal her so she felt it best to wait until they were done, even though her stomach was practically screaming at her to eat when it grumbled loudly. She felt the pain go away as her wounds were properly healed, every pain except for her stomach.

Anne continued to watch over the chunin from the corner of the room. Her eyes never leaving her, however she had a smile on her face and was at least pretending to be happy. If anything was said she would entertain Miyu with general chit chat until Maku arrived, but nothing more than that. As the hours went by it had been at least two until things had happened.

Meanwhile in the office.

Maku was reading through the notes of his genin. He had three that had impressed him beyond others, and these three would be crucial if he were to leave the village. By leaving the village watched over by possibly three people he hoped things would get done, and done well. It would be a shame to come home and find the place trashed because of a short absence after all. It was about this time that Charlotte arrived, knocking on the door and entering when allowed. "Sir, there is a chunin in the hospital, says her name is Miyu, showed up at the gate a little while ago half dead. Currently she is in the hospital awaiting your arrival." SHe would state clearly and concisely. Maku's ears had perked up. This would be the first person from the old regime he had really dwelt with ninja wise.

The only other one had left, shamed he supposed by her defeat. O well, it didn't bother him much, he didn't need troublemakers in the village back then, when he was just setting himself up. No, without the distractions of that, he had been able to get the village finances in a better situation, and even begin work on the village defense grid that he hoped would be operational prior to any traveling he was going to be doing. Opening up one of the files, he pulled out Miyu's file. Gaining what he could from it, he would stand and exit the building slowly walking towards the hospital.

Hospital

Maku would arrive and make his way up and around until he found the room he was looking for. He was wearing just a standard black tunic and black pants. Nothing to fancy, and made his way into the room, to see the ninja in the bed. Looking her up and down, he used his chakra senses to attempt to become familiar with her particular aura. After all if she was going to be his ninja, he might as well be able to sense her out. Walking up to her bed he would hold out a hand to her in welcome. Smiling and tilting his head to one side, he would offer a simple introduction. "Hello Miyu, my name is Maku Jemuzu, how are you feeling?"

Miyu looked up from the bed towards the man who entered the room. He didn't look like a doctor. She was a bit confused, as she had never seen this man in her life. Why was he visiting her? And shouldn't Demetri of been here by now. She ignored the man's question, instead voicing one of her own, "Who are you?" something didn't feel right. She slowly sat up in her bed, and glanced to a nearby wall, where one of the doctors had put her katana. It was only for the briefest moment, then she returned her focus to Maku. She was really confused, who was this guy, who were these girls who had taken her to the hospital?

The glance towards the weapon did not go unnoticed, however Maku was still not worried.  If he couldn't handle himself agaisnt someone who had been half dead and was in a hospital bed, maybe he didn't deserve to be leader.  He sat down on the edge of the bed, and sighed a little.  This was either going to go well, bad, really bad, or really really bad.  Preferably the first, but that seemed unlikely if she was already looking towards her weapon.

"Well dear, I am the village leader now.  I took over for Demetri, he kind of went on vacation.  Well.,....actually he kind of died."
