So how many bear's are in bear country?

Toma wandered through the 'bear country', in hopes of looking for, well, bears. Technically he was supposed to go to ame, but Toma doubted he would be able to find anything useful to Den, so he instead decided he would train and fight bears and what not. That way whenever they found the guys who killed Min, he could help out and actually contribute in the battle.
Toma wore a simple outfit, a white T-shirt and some loose fitting shorts that were kept around his waist by a simple belt. His weapon pouch was behind him right hip, easily reached by his right hand should he need to use any of the weapons contained within. His blond hair was somewhat spiky, more so on the sides than anywhere else though. And he had a bandage around his head, covering the right eye that contained a byakugan. It wasn't the most clever disguise, but he had yet to find any cool sunglasses so until then he'd stick with the bandages. Toma didn't look muscular at all, and in fact some might say his features seemed feminine or maybe even weak, but he was actually really strong, and loved physical activity.
Toma was currently near the border between Bear and Rain country, on a beach. He had searched all day for some bears to fight but had so far been unsuccessful. He was taking a break on the remains of a tree that he had dragged down close to where the water was. It hadn't been easy punching a tree in half, but the young boy had managed to do it. His knuckles were slightly bleeding, and he was currently trying to pull a splinter out of his right hand.

Shōki stood at the helm of the very battered ship he had called home for so long a gentle breeze playing about with the sails as he sailed towards the coast, he should have hit land a long time ago but the island he had stopped at had been misinformed it seemed about the distance to the mainland.
Adjusting the course slightly he would put the lashes in place holding the wheel steady and aimed at the coastline. Striding below deck Shōki would carefully take inventory before picking up the pouch containing his remaining five hundred ryo, the only thing left in the hold as his supplies had been completely demolished on the journey. Climbing quickly he would make his way to the crows nest of the very ghost like ship, and plant his feet firmly to wait.
As the ship approached the impending coastline a manic grin would spread across Shōki's features, their would be a sickening crunch the ship had run aground, the hull splintering and throwing up waves of sand in curling arches. Leaping lightly from his place at the top mast Shōki would land heavily in the sand, turning to put one hand palm open on the splintering hull of the ship, it would never sail again but it had completed its mission. Examining the coastline Shōki picked out a feminine looking male sitting on a fallen tree trunk picking at a splinter, strange he thought a location along the beach would be densely populated with resorts.
Turning his maniac grin to the person sitting on the tree he would let out a hearty laugh before swaggering over a bit bow legged and with a tip of his hat introduce himself, "names Shōki Kaizoku, I be here looking for the great ninja nations...but more importantly rum, now do tell what is someone as slight of frame like you doing out in the wilderness." He would punctuate his statement with another laugh, even more robust than the last and adjust his tricorne back into place atop the bandanna on his head.

Toma watched the boat approached, very confused. Toma had never seen a boat, but he thought they went to ports or something like that. As far as he knew there weren't any ports nearby. Maybe it's a pirate! Even though this was the first time Toma had ever seen a pirate. or even a boat in real life, he still thought they were cool. It probably wasn't a pirate though, Toma was pretty sure boats were used by merchants or something.
The boat started getting closer though, which was weird. Toma activated his byakugan and used it to view the boat, finding a man with an above average chakra level being the only occupant. A shinobi maybe? Toma was pretty sure Shinobi weren't merchants or pirates, so it was weird seeing on a ship alone.
Toma deactivated his byakugan as the boat hit the ground, he had been so busy focusing on it he hadn't realized it was so close. The man jumped out and approached. Toma pulled out the last splinter as he did, wondering what this strange man could want.
The man introduced himself, and said a few words, but Toma forgot all of them when the man mentioned his small frame. Toma wasn't mad, it was actually pretty funny. He fell backwards out of the tree, laughing as hard as he could.

Toma finally stopped laughing after a few minutes, for some reason the guy hadn't responded. Seeing a she didn't seem interested in talking anymore, Toma decided to leave. He still wanted to practice a Taijutsu tech he was learning though, so he decided to give this guy a going away present. Toma rolled backwards back onto his feet, and did the hand seals for the body flicker. Disappearing for a moment a she moved at 170 speed, Toma would appear in front of the man, in with his right leg and arm on the ground. His leg leg would shoot upwards at 100 speed Toma also using his leg and arm as a spring to propel himself upwards as his leg shot out. Toma's left wood would go to the left of the newcomers head as the boy was propelled up and over his target, having intentionally missed for fear of kicking the mans head off.
Toma would land about 3 meters from the man, turning around. "Well it's been fun, but bye." Toma woudl then run off into the forest, to go once more in search of bears.
