Task: A boy has been putting graffiti on the wall of buildings. He has thus far managed to escape custody, and posses skills equal to that of an Academy ninja, able to move around on rooftops to escape capture. Now it is your turn to try and capture him, good luck!
Ryusei finally had a mission that could actually call for the true skills of a shinobi, instead of their mere subservience to their village leader to force them to do something they would otherwise have little interest in accomplishing. This time, Ryusei was hired to find and capture whoever it was that dared graffiti buildings all around the village. Every morning, there would be reports that someone’s house, office building, or in one case, shop, had been covered in paint either spelling out rude messages or depicting some truly vile act. Several ninja had been sent off to try to find and capture the culprit before but most of them had been unsuccessful, and only one had ever caught the brat. Unfortunately, it was fairly obvious that the kid was up to his old tricks, but unfortunately he had to be caught in the act, to be able to be brought in for a stern lecture.
Ryusei sighed… he hated staying up this late, watching from the rooftops for signs of movement. Not that he had far to look, as he knew exactly where the kid was likely to come out, which was the window of his bedroom. Ryusei had asked around, after getting the mission that morning, and by all accounts, the kid was supposed to be in bed right now, not at anyone else’s place. Ryusei got sleepy, not having anything to do besides watching a closed window for shadows of movement. He was getting sleepy… he slapped himself awake, snapping into alertness just in time to hear something move. He cursed under his breath, and dashed to the window. He peered inside, the light of the moon revealing an empty room. Ryusei groaned. He heard something in a nearby alleyway fall, it was a metal object, probably a can, which rattled and suddenly stopped. A clink implied that the can had been placed back in its usual spot. Ryusei ran as quickly as he could towards the source, jumping between rooftops. At the alleyway the sound had emenated from, liquid of some sort had spilled on the ground, and a can nearby had stains on its side. A shadow shifted several streets down, and he took off in pursuit.
Whoever it was, they were fairly fast, as they had managed to shake off several genin on previous nights. Frankly, those other genin were a little slow themselves, and did not train at all, but still, this speed was impressive for a kid known to be potentially graduating from the ninja academy soon. Slowly the shadow came into sight, and Ryusei saw that it was the boy he had been trying to watch earlier. He slowed down slightly, keeping tabs on the kid, noting their general location. That kid couldn’t be serious. The two of them were heading towards… Hokage Rock!
Ryusei had to stifle his laughter in the wind, as he realized, the kid must be attempting to imitate Uzumaki Naruto from an eon ago, who famously painted all over the Hokage Rock. He had to hand it to the guy, this little miscreant was ambitious. The pair ascended the rock, only one of whom was aware that there were two ascending that night. The kid had apparently left supplies at the top, so as to be quieter during his nighttime ascent, as he got right to work, pulling paint from behind some bushes.
After he managed a moustache on the 5th Hokage’s face, curly eyebrows on the 4th Hokage, and a stuck out tongue on the 2nd Hokage’s face, Ryusei decided he had enough evidence, as the kid slipped, spilling paint on himself. Ryusei swooped in, and grabbed the kid, his paint bucket sent flying, to redecorate a tree nearby, and hauled the little scamp off to the Kage’s office, the kid kicking and screaming all the way, waking some of the neighbors who burst into giggles at the sight. This kid was determined but he was no Echo Uchiha, whose legendary exploits as a little boy had reached far and wide to the frustration of those tasked with pursuing him.
