Chasing Pu... I mean Cats (Solo

Mission Link
Tomoya received his second mission almost as soon as the first was completed, actually taking it on his way out of the mission office. This one involved cats rather than kids, and it seemed they had escaped some poor old woman’s house. There were 5 cats, just as many of them as there had been kids, it was pretty interesting to Tomoya for some reason. Seeing as he already had his shadow clones, Tomoya decided to send them after the cats as well, finding them still in the shopping district making sure the kids had cleaned everything up.
Together, all 3 Tomoya’s began searching for cats. The real Tomoya was still have concentrating on his chakra sensory so he could find the cats with that, as his eyes were still too busy reading his book about Genjutsu. He was starting to read about the simple jutsu one could use, and was debating on trying to learn one soon so that he could better understand how Genjutsu operated. It seemed a wise decision to him, but he wanted to read more so that he could learn a powerful Genjusu rather than a weaker one that would be easier to ‘dispel’. If he could learn a strong one he could more easily capture a strong opponent in it, which would be good because Den planned on them fighting powerful people at some point, and Tomoya wanted to be able to use Genjutsu on them.
Tomoya’s clones scanned the village with their eyes, trying to find some small furred creature that would hopefully be one of the cats. They had been given photos of the cats thankfully, so there was little worry of them picking up someone else’s cat and pissing them off. One of them was a ginger cat, the others an assortment of colors that Tomoya nor his clones knew how to describe.
It didn’t take one of tomoya’s clones long to find the first cat, it was the ginger in fact. The other clone pulled out the pictures and compared the cat to the one in the picture, while the real Tomoya continued to read. He was about halfway through the book now, hopefully he could finish within the day. That would be extremely nice, he could start learning genjutsu once he was done he thought, maybe get an interesting jutsu or two.
Tomoya continued jumping form roof to roof as he read, and detected a second cat via his hearing. It turned out cats didn’t have chakra, as he couldn’t detect it with his chakra sensory. Curious as to why some animals didn’t have chakra, Tomoya jumped onto the ground and scooped up the cat, grabbing it before it could flee. Even still, his eyes were on his book. The cat tried to scratch him, but he just grabbed it by its scruff and held it away from his body, still reading. He then headed to the old woman’s house, where he knew his clones were ehading with the ginger cat. Tomoya was fairly sure this was one of the cats, as he had glanced at it, but he wanted to check with them first.
The cones were exiting the house when he arrived, the old woman following them out and continuously thanking them. Upon seeing the second cat, the woman let out a huge grin and grabbed the cat from Tomoya, which was fine with him of course. Tomoya’s clones did verify to him that it was one of the woman’s cats as they left the house, now set on finding the last 3.
Tomoya’s clones went ahead of him as they set out once more, he was gonna continue reading. Tomoya was extremely glad he knew the Shadow Clone jutsu, it was extremely useful for performing multiple tasks at once. Without it learning about Genjutsu while doing missions would be extremely difficult.
Tomoya’s clones found the third cat almost immediately, it was actually trying to head home it seemed, but had been lost. One of them headed back to the old lady’s house while the other held the photographs and continued onward, still scouting for the cats with its hearing, smell, and vision. Tomoya was only using smell and hearing, as of course he was still reading. He was now learning about the actual affects a genjutsu could have on the human brain, it was all extremely fascinating actally. You could actually alter a brain via a genjutsu, change some one’s mind via re-programing it. This seemed interesting to Tomoya, he could convince people to like him, follow his orders. He didn’t know why he liked this idea, but it seemed very interesting to him.
While he went through this section of the book his clones found the other two cats and then dispersed themselves, so Tomoya figured it was time to turn in the mission. He could go home and read more on the book he guessed.
