Theft from the Raikage Building!(Akihana)
Fri Dec 19, 2014 6:13 am
The Day was rather nice today, the sun was shining, no clouds in the sky, the breeze felt rather nice, Fen was going for a stroll today, he knew at this time, Arata was in school, and as for Akihana, he was kinda clueless on her current location, but that did not bother him, he was just enjoying the stroll through town, then out of the blue, a loud bang could be heard in the distance, and Fen would spin around, as it came from behind him, and he saw smoke rolling in the sky, the smell of burning wood in the distance, Fen would take off on a full tilt run, and letting nothing get in his way, jumping over stall carts and using the wall as a walk way as well, eventually jumping up onto the roof tops to get a better view, he watch at least three figures take off in the distance towards the mountains, then he suddenly heard a voice from the Kage building, which was the building that was attacked, shouting out loud "Stop those thieves, they stole some important paperwork for the kage" Fen would rush inside, jumping through the hole the thieves made and rushing through the debris, he was looking to see if he could find Akihana, she was usually working here as of late and he was hoping she was ok, if he could not find her anywhere inside of the building after a great deal of searching, he would begin to look for the closest area that people were heading to get healed, and to be talked down from the traumatic experience that just happened, as knowing Akihana, if she was not inside helping someone in there, or hurt, then she would be out here healing both physical and emotional, he would stop once finding her and explain to her "Akihana!" he would exclaim out loud hoping she was not injured by the attack, and would continue on with his sentence "Hey, I seen where the people who did this went, I am going after them, your help would be appreciated" and he would take off once more at his full tilt run, jumping up onto the closest buildings roof and ran for the Mountains, he did not know if Akihana would follow him or not, but she had to know what he was doing, and very quickly, he was past the village borders and in the tree line that was on the mountain.
After some time of Running, Fen would have to take a small break, not only was he a bit exhausted but he lost their trail, he kicked at the ground and cursed, "Damn it" he had lost the trail, this was not good, he had to get those papers back, if only he had waited for Akihana, he had no idea if she head followed him or not, he would turn around and look to the village that was just attacked, his village, this enraged him, he would not let the people who did this get away, he was also partial hoping that when he turned around, that Akihana was there to help, she was an excellent tracker, he knew she could find them if only she was here, he cursed himself out and thought to himself, he should have waited for Akihana, well time to see if she followed, or if he was shit out of luck and would have to scour the entire mountain ridge to look for these basturds

The explosion at the Raikage building had been as loud as it was unexpected. Akihana had been at her usual position outside Yaju's desk when the building had shook and without even thinking about it, the young woman found her Norito seal activated and Yaju's thoughts coming to her in a frenzy. Ninja didn't make so much noise, which meant the explosion had done what it had meant to do: distract.
She knew it was too late the moment she saw some silhouettes who resembled nothing of the shapes of ANBU Akihana was used to leaving the building and she was on her feet. Thanks to her increased speed, she was able to leave the building in a flash of gold but upon reaching outside, she found that more than distracting, the explosion had hurt some guards, a young messenger genin among them. Without thinking twice, the blonde had sunk to her knees beside him, hands already glowing green with chakra as she murmured reassuring words to the wounded. It was as she was tyring to read his mind to get a clear picture of what had happened from the outside that Fenn found her, requesting back up, Akihana nodded, trying to gesture that she had to finish this but that she would catch up but Fenn was gone the next moment, trying not to lose track of the trio of thieves. Yes, itw as three of them according to this messenger's memories, and they were not obviously armed, still the medic would be on guard.
It took another five minutes to heal the messenger to the point where he was no longer in danger of bleeding out or passing out and then Akihana was moving again, her long legs springing up onto the nearest wall for friction and then running straight to the rooftops for a better vintage point. The light shaped holes were obvious to her sharp golden gaze, both the shapes made by the theives as well as Fenn as he had gone to give chase. Sending a message to Yaju through her activated seal that she was on the trail, the Kunoichi followed Fenn's light print in the air, catching up to him some miles outside the village just as he looked like he'd lost sight of them.
"Fenn Kun, they're three miles south of here," she breathed, landing on a tree branch beside her fellow chunin. "Their light signatures end in a cave, they probably think they're safe in there," she finished as both of them began moving towards the direction Akihana pointed out. "The information they stole is sealed, so they need time to regroup and figure out how to access it. We need to find them before they open the information," she stated, leaping from one rocky outcrop to another with Fenn by her side, golden eyes searching through the scenery for any signs of disturbance in the light patterns surrounding the area.

When Fen Saw Akihana in the distance he celebrated, she was a sight for sore eyes, and seems she was already doing her unique tracking ability, and Fen would speed off behind her, so as when they would find them, Fen would jump out ahead, but till then, he did not want to get in the way of Akihana's tracking, and upon comming up to the cave he would quickly slide in front of Akihana, and then extend a arm out as to tell her to stop, and he would slowly creep up to the entrance, and as he peered in, just as he suspected, tripwire was at the bottom of the cave entrance, these guys were not stupid, Fen turns and looks to Akihana, puts a finger up to his lips, and points down to let her know something was there, and fen would tip toe over it, as not to trip it, and he would slowly begin his decent into the cave, as it began to get darker, fen would decide to use the hiding like a mole technique, and he would dive underground slightly, and begin to travel that way as not to disturb the earth above him so his cover was not blown, and now he could sense everything going on above him, and he would eventually reach the group of men, there was three alright, and the papers were close to them, Fen knew he may be able to get one, even two possibly but that third one was going to be tricky, once the other two would go down he knew the third one would bolt, so Fen would just bide his time at this moment, and wait for akihana to get closer before springing his trap upon them, that third guy was deffinatly going to have a bad day, but that was not Fen's problem, below ground Fen would get as close to the first two as possible, he planed on headhunter jutsu to help him here, that would also give him a judge on their strength as well as their perception and speed, fen's hands would get close, and he could sense Akihana was now close enough that he could join in on the fray if things got to hairy for her, and fen's hands would pop up out of the ground, and grab the right ankle on one and the left ankle on the other and he would pull the two men down into the ground, down to their heads, and once that was done, sure enough, the third darted towards Akihana, kinda of blindedly because of the darkness inside of the cave, only slightly illuminated by the fire they started, and as he took off towards Akihana, Fen would pop up out of the ground and begin to give chase, he was relying on Akihana to at least stall the other man, but there was no telling about what this man could do, were they all ninja, or were they just expert theives? Fen would make it a point to interrigate the other two, maybe even have Akihana work her magic sort of speaking, and extract it in other ways

As they approached the cave, Akihana could feel Fenn tense beside her, the wave of anger and annoyance at the thieves radiating off of him in spades. Having spend so much time with him, the medic was all too familiar with how he prepared for battle, his muscles going tout in preparation and his mind focusing on a single point. She on the other hand could feel the elicited calm she had forced herself to experience through medical manipulation when going into a potentially dangerous situation. A clear head was not always naturally achieved and being a medical ninja had its benefits. Bypassing the hastily set up trip wire, the duo ventured further into the cave, keeping as silent as possible until they detected where the thieves were.
As expected, Fenn dove underground in a move they had now perfected. His attacks usually left them confused and disoriented while Akihana's blinded them using her Hikariton, a combination that had served them well. Gauging the distance at which Fenn would be travelling and then waiting, Akihana positioned herself at the mouth of the inner cave where the trio of thieves were gathered, presumably trying to get around the seals withholding their ill gotten intel. Akihana knew Fenn would want to interrogate them and she had been practicing her mind reading technique sufficiently of late so all they would really need is to knock one of two unconscious.
Her golden eyes detected the disturbance in dim lighting even before it happened and the medic could clearly picture Fenn reaching out to grab at least two of the ill fated thieves as a third - he was clearly no shinobi from the way he left his comrades behind - bolted towards the mouth of the cave, and her. All it took was one slight jab which the male never saw coming. His movements stilted, his muscles freezing mid motion. A look of confusion entered his eyes before they landed on the blonde.
"Please don't try to move, you'll hurt yourself," the kunoichi explained only to have her warning ignored. The thief tried to take a step forward, only to have his mouth open awkwardly. It took a while of him drooling to figure out why his muscles were not responding to the commands of his brain but the ryo only seemed to drop when he realized she was a medical ninja.
"You... bitch," he managed through great effort, toppling himself over in his attempt to speak. The blonde gave him a reproachful look.
"There's really no need for language like that," she admonished before walking into the cave to see if she could help Fenn with the two he was tackling, her blinding light ball activated at full brightness hovering a few inches over her palm. If there was a fight going on inside, and it sure sounded like there was, she would blind the enemy temporarily, giving Fenn the opportunity to gain the upper hand.

Fen heard the muffled and mumbled words from the other guy, Akihana got him, and as Akihana came around the corner, Fen met her, and he pointed to the two in the ground, and looked at her," I got these two...Hey where is the guy who went running down the tunnel?" As he did not see him with Aki, he would quickly but gently get past Akihana and went running for the mouth of the tunnel, the man dispite his pain got up and started running, he turned around and looked to Akihana "Find out what you can from the two inside the envelope should still be inside, I will get this guy" and Fen would turn around and smirk and he would take off running after the man that went into the woods, very quickly, fen found low branches to swing up on and follow in the tree tops, watching below him for the guy he was following, this man had some decent speed to him, but Fen was not about to let him get away, and so with a quick set of hand signs, pillars rose up first in front of the man to stop him, and then from all other directions, locking him in, and locking his hands apart from each other, Fen would then jump down from the tree and look at the man, seemed he had a dislocated jaw, damn Akihana did a number on him, and little did Fen know with only one punch, Fen would reach out, and grab the man by the jaw, knowing the pain it gave him, and began to ask questions "Why did you attack the kage building, who sent you, why do they want those papers?" and the man whimpered in pain, and as tears flooded his face, he began to speak "I do not know what they wanted with those papers, or who they were, they were mysterious about it, always sent a servent , never addressed us themselves, they just paid us a lot of money, please let go of my jaw that is all I know" Fen without having anyway at this moment to know if the man told the truth or not, let go of the mans jaw, then he would lower the prison from around the man, and led him back to the cave by the collar of his shirt, Fen would walk into the cave and throw the man inside the cave, meanwhile looking to see if Aki was still here, and if she was, he would walk over to her and begin to tell her what the man told him out in the woods, and if she got anything remotly similur from the other two men, and also to see if she had picked up the envelope yet, then he would grow silent as to allow Akihana, to tell her information she gathered from the other two men, and to tell him if she did or did not grab the envelope yet

It turned out her well meaning Hikariton jutsu wasn't needed after all as Fenn had not only fought but subdued both the remaining thieves. As her teammate asked where the third was, Akihana pointed to the mouth of the cave. "He might be confused though, I rearranged his nervous response system responses a little bit," the blonde admitted sheepishly as she sunk to her knees beside the first collapsed thief, hands already glowing with chakra. Verbal testimonies were all well and good but the medic was slowly learning to rely more on her mind reading jutsu. It was convenient, gave accurate and mostly unbiased accounts of what happened and didn't involve the necessary verbal skills required for integration. Just as well, the female chunin would have been terrible at a proper interrogation.
Sifting through the fallen man's memories, Akihana searched for specific scenes relating to the theft commuted that day. Already having pocketed the envelop containing Yaju's information safely in her vest, now the kunoichi looked for reason why the information had been worth causing such a distraction and risking almost certain death. Despite how beat up the three thieves were, surely they knew it could have been a lot worse if the Raikage himself had come after them.
The first man's memories unveiled monetary motive. He belonged to what appeared to be a gang of petty thieves along with the third ninja that Fenn was currently taking care off. An offer from a mysterious buyer through a servant. Mostly generic henchman stuff. he left his body limp, raising her hands and moved to the second man, repeating the process, only to gasp as the image of a little girl no older than three flashed before her eyes.
The second ninja, as it turned down, had refused the offer for money and prompted the servant communicating with the group to kidnap his daughter. The memories of her victim begging for his girl back and agreeing to accompany the other two thieves left Akihana more upset than angry. Further probing proved that he too was a professional thief but had initially turned down the request because he had deemed it too dangerous. No wonder the hiring party had chosen to ply the man with more incentive. She was just finishing up with his memories when Fenn returned, throwing the third member of the makeshift gang hard against the cave wall.
"Fenn, these two are professional thieves," she spoke softly, her tone ringing nonetheless as it echoed inside the cave. "But the third, this guy right here, well he's a professional too but he didn't want to do this. So they took his daughter. He's only here to exchange his service as ransom for the girl," she finished, the sadness in her golden eyes evident. Akihana pitied the man because she could relate to him. Kami only knew what someone could force her into doing if they had Arata. And she would do it too beause for a parent, anything was worth doing if it meant their child would be safe.
"I think we need to bring him to Yaju-sama along with the information. They never got around to opening it so the scrolls are safe," the blonde patted her vest to show she had the documents, trying to remain professional in the face of what she'd just found out.The kunoichi knew someone would be along to deal with the others shortly but this man they might need to escort to the Raikage properly, which might be a challenge given that he was currently lying unconscious on the rocky ground.

Fen would look to the man she pointed to as being the one bribed into this with his daughters life and looked to Akihana and shook his head "As Sweet as the Raikage may be to you, he will not let this man go unpunished, this may come back to bite me in the ass but" Fen let out a deep sigh and extended his hand "Let me see the envelope I have an idea, meanwhile, mind knocking out the third guy, his whimpering is agitating me" If Akihana would hand him the Envelope, Fen would pull out paper, usually used for Explosive paper bombs, but this time, it would be used for a Transformation technique, turning the piece of paper, to look identical to the envelope, then he would hand the original to Akihana, and left the one man with the copy, and looked to Akihana, and told her his plan, "If the men try to unlock it like they would that envelope, it will explode in their face, and give the man time to get away with his daughter, if they waited till the man leaves with his daughter, same reaction, that way, these people will stop their attacks on our village" Fen was not happy to do it, but he had no choice in the matter really, if it was Arata, he would do anything he had to, to save that little boy, he went and picked the other man up, and let Akihana deal with the man that had the neverous system tweeked out, and they would return together to the village, turning the two men over to the proper Authorities, and delivering the envelope to the Raikage, then fen would personally head to the market with his new ryo in his pocket, get some food to eat for the night, and would head back to his place, to eat a well deserve lunch, and all before two o clock in the evening
Meanwhile, if Akihana allowed Fen's plans to go through, the third man left alone would wake up, find the envelope, and take it to the men who took his daughter, the trade would go smoothly, and as soon as him and his daughter was out of the radius, the men tried to open the envelope and as soon as they did, a huge explosion went off, the man would rush his daughter and encourage her not to look back, and hopefully that would be the last that man saw of anyone like that ever again

She had to admit Fenn was right in assuming that the Raikage may not have patience for the third thief. As much as Akihana wanted to believe that some people deserved a pass, she also knew it wasn't true. For a moment, hurt flashed through her golden eyes at the idea that Fenn was discounting her opinion but it was short lived as she watched him create an identical envelope. He didn't have to say it for her to know what he meant. He was helping her and the third ninja save his daughter even though he didn't particularly want to. In a ninja team, the first priority was always your village, but right up there beside it was your duty to your comrades, and Fenn was doing just that.
When he asked to knock the remaining ninja out, the blonde moved to the whimpering man who almost curled in on himself in terror at seeing her approach. "I told you not to move earlier, didn't I?" the medic reminded him kindly, bending down to touch his temple softly as she did. "You didn't listen, you moved and you got hurt, that's what happens when you don't take good advice," she admonished gently, tweaking his chakra ever so slightly to induce a state of heavy sleep. This guy wasn't going to wake up anytime soon.
As Fenn gave her back the original, Akihana took a last look at the man they had left unconscious with the fake information, hoping against hope that it would be enough to get his daughter back. Akihana knew she would never see him again and the fate of his family would be forever lost in mystery, but for now she could find peace in the knowledge that she and Fenn had done their best.
As both of them made their way to the Raikage building to collect their reward and hand in their accounts of the mission, Akihana realized her seal had been activated the whole time, meaning Yaju had gotten more or less the account of everything as it had happned in real time. Taking the information into his office, she gave Fenn a quick hug goodbye before making the formal report. There were still a lot of people trying to repair damages to the building that the bomb earlier had caused but for now, things looked under control.
Fifteen minutes later, Akihana was changed and back at her desk, resuming her work day as if nothing ha gone wrong, and save the occasional sound of someone using a jutsu outside her window to repair infrastructure, there was no other sign that the day had been anything but an ordinary one at the Kumo administrative buildings.
