Heat of The Moment
Mon Dec 29, 2014 5:56 am
Risako was starting to grow weary of these early mornings, but they were necessary. She would grab her book and leave her house into the early morning darkness, making her way to the training ground. As she walked down the street, she began to review what she had read about learning jutsu that used fire release. The legendary Uchiha clan taught their young using a simple jutsu called "Fire Stream". It is an extremely simple technique. That was the goal for today, she was to learn how to knead fire chakra, and spew it from her forth, while keeping it somewhat controlled.
After an hour of walking and getting sidetracked with the natives, she finally arrived at the training ground, with the sun starting to rise off in the vast sky. As she was the only ninja around, she didn't feel the need to seclude herself, and started right in the middle of the field. She stretches her arms toward the sky, stepping up on her toes to stretch her muscles. Poor little Risako started to focus her chakra in her chest. It took her a some time before she got the fire part down though, because she wasn't sure how. From here on out though, she should be able too... maybe. The little genin would then begin kneading it until she started to feel the heat, at which point she would perform a half tiger handseal and spew it forth, in a short uncontrolled stream.
That was.... somewhat easier than she had imagined. Well...practice makes perfect, so she would continue on. She repeated the process, this time blowing through a half closed to fist to narrow the spread to a finer cone. This seemed to work, as the cone had tightened a bit and extended to about nine meters, she couldn't exactly tell, but it was progress nonetheless. Now onto the fun part, arson. Risako diced to spend the next twenty or so minutes scrounging for leaves and twigs and what not. Upon gathering a sizable pile (the size of a bike tire), she would step back and begin prepping the jutsu. This time, she would try to burn the pile to ash by maintaining the fire until it burned it all. Beginning to feel the jutsu swell up in her chest, she would launch it forward through a half closed fist, aimed directly at the pile. The orange flame flickered around the broken twigs and leaves, until they eventually caught. She was starting to run out of breath, so she stopped and started again.
She found it grew harder to focus as she spent her chakra maintaining the fire, and at her level, she simply couldn't keep it going for that long.so she gave up for the moment, stomped out the fire, picked up her book and started on her way home. She was satisfied that she could at least learn the most basic of fire Jutsu, and her step gained a quick skip to it as she walked the streets.
