Unexpected Training Session - Page 3 Empty Re: Unexpected Training Session

Sun Jul 26, 2015 3:52 pm
Salzem looked at Fenn as he pointed out Salzem's incomplete replications of his techniques. It would seem he is just not as good as Fenn when it came to mimicking techniques outright. However, he will learn these, it would just require more training. With his analysis of his training complete, Fenn had moved onto pushups. As He got into postion, Salzem followed suit, getting on his hands and knees, before using his legs to push himself into a hand-stand position. He would do push-ups in time with the ANBU, counting as his arms met a 90 degree angle before pushing himself back to 180 degrees. This brought him back to his days as an academy student. As he reminisced, he did not slack in his pushups, keeping time as If his arms were following the rhythm of a metronome.

When he was young, training for the academy, his physical talents were extremely limited. Adjusting to his damaged lugs was torture day in and day out. He could barely get out of bed, eat, and drink on his own. He was a walking corpse. Back in those days, Salzem wallowed in self-pity, half hating himself for becoming so horridly crippled, half pitying himself, seeing everyone else without the same restraint. He was determined to be this sickly child no longer. He did not want to stay in his room for 18 hours a day, staring at his ceiling, switching between the Judge, Jury and Executioner. What he wanted, more than anything else, was to be like everyone else. Forcing himself from bed one day, he did this very exercise, although not nearly to the same extent they were doing now. The day he had proved his parent's coddling wrong, the day he had joined the ninja academy was the happiest moment of his life.

With this memory fading back into the recesses of his mind, Salzem tuned back into reality, staring at the ground. One thing he liked to do while doing pushups, was to focus in on a single point in the dirt, find that one clump of grass, or that tiniest pebble, and stare at it, observing and recording all of it's features. This not only helped training pass by faster and help him ignore the pain of exhaustion, but it to was like a training of sorts, allowing him to witness things in finer detail, both literally, and figuratively. Occasionally, Salzem would glance over at his teacher, wondering how much strength he really had. Between his ability to consistently raise it and his durability to absorb one of his strongest attacks, it was indeed something to think about.

Unexpected Training Session - Page 3 Empty Re: Unexpected Training Session

Fenn had stopped doing push ups awhile ago, but he would not let his student stop until his student couldn't go on anymore, using his Heavens Sorrow Ninjato he cut a piece of bamboo that was growing close by, and he resheathed his Ninjato as he swung the bamboo a bit, hearing the whistle of the branch he knew this was a good selection, and he turned around to Salzem and crouched low and said to him " you are not to allow your feet to touch the ground " and then he swung the bamboo at Salzem's Hands at a speed of one hundred, if Salzem did not move his hands out of the swing of the branch then he would get racked across the knuckles on both hands with it, the branch was to long for him to move to the side, only was to dodge was up, But this first one was most likely unexpected and would get him across the knuckles, with a power of forty two (Impact force) and a strength of seventy, it would redden his knuckles that was certain if it hit, and if it hit to many times, it would make them bloody, most definitely

Unexpected Training Session - Page 3 Empty Re: Unexpected Training Session

Salzem looked over as Fenn stopped his push-ups. What was he doing...? Surely he wasn't done already. Suddenly, he drew a strange looking blade, one he had yet to see before. He then used this blade to cut down a piece of bamboo that had been growing out of the near by sandy dirt. All the while, Salzem had not faltered in his pushups, as he never finished personal training until a limit is met.

What in the...

Suddenly, and without any real warning, Fenn crouched low and swung the bamboo stalk at Salzem's knuckles. He didn't have time to get out of the way. He wasn't expecting it. The stalk smacked his hand hard, making a loud crack as it struck his flesh. A sharp, jabbing pain ensued, followed by one of intense burning. Salzem gritted his teeth to prevent any form of gasping or yelling in pain. No. He will not. He glanced down at his knuckles, they were red, some tiny bits of flesh was torn away, not enough to endues bleeding however. The bamboo stick was much to long to jump away from and Salzem was sure this wasn't any attack. He guessed that this was some sort of training. It seemed that this exercise was similar to that of jump rope. Your feet (or hands in this particular instance), must not touch the rope (or stalk in this case). The punishment for failing to reach the goal was much more painful however. It may be painful if your feet touch the jump rope and you are forced to start over, but this variation brought much more physical trauma to the table than psychological. If you missed a jump, you would be struck (hard) with a very solid, very painful, bamboo stalk. Pain. What an excellent motivator, or nullifier, depending on the purpose. Salzem lowered his arms until they were at a 90 degree angle, ready to jump when Fenn swung the stalk again.

Unexpected Training Session - Page 3 Empty Re: Unexpected Training Session

Fenn Swung again, after hearing the bamboo crack across the knuckles of Salzem, it went back for more, and if eh jumped over the bamboo it would come back to the wrists, and if he jumped it again, then Fenn would keep going back and forth at full speed with the Bamboo stick, little did Salzem realize was that this was Fenn's Ingenious way to build up his punches to make him hit harder, and that this was just the beginning next was going to be running around, that was going to be fun.

Fenn imagined Salzem draggining him around on a log while he whipped Salzem to go faster with the bamboo as the fun that is going to be, for him anyways, poor Salzem will most likely curse him for all this training, and as rigourous as it was already, it was only the beginning of the hardcore training that was to come to the kid from Fenn.

Salzem's jump failed. He didn't completely over shoot the bamboo as he had hoped, only causing it to smack his wrists instead of his knuckles. He cringed in pain, forcing more strength to his arms. Fenn kept swinging the bamboo back and forth and Salzem kept trying to keep his body from being torn to shreds. For every couple he dodged, he seemed to get smacked once. Jump, Jump, Smack. Jump, Smack, Jump. It was brutal. It was Grueling. It was certainly a challenge. Although the pain he was forced to endure was not enjoyable in the slightest, it was the fact that he was forced to try, to excel and go beyond what he thought was his limits was what he found enjoyment in. By now, Salzem's arms were bleeding and he was sweating, various lashes cut up and down his arms and hands. His sanguine eyes showed only determination in this exercise refusing to give up and throw in the towel. However, despite the determination of his mind, his body was not quite as reinforced. His arms were shaking, his chest, heaving, blood leaked from the now open wounds. As blood and sweat dripped down, off his body, Salzem continued the exercise until one of two things happened: Either his body gave way, or Fenn stopped it.

Unexpected Training Session - Page 3 Empty Re: Unexpected Training Session

Fenn would finally stop and he went off into the woods and using his immense strength and knocked down a decent size log, about sit foot long, and three foot from side to side at the longest points, and he pulled it over to salzem and fashioned a harness out of vines that he tied to the log and slide the hoops of the harness over salzems arms if he let him, then taking a seat on the log with the bamboo switch he would begin to whip the shoulders of Salzem telling him to get up and go, to book as fast as he could, he shouted it even and laughed as he could continue to whip the shoulders of Salzem, wanting to be pulled around the forest as fast as Salzem could pull him and Fenn just had a big grin on his face.

Unexpected Training Session - Page 3 Empty Re: Unexpected Training Session

At the point Fenn called off this exercise, Salzem was bleeding, battered and tired. He flipped himself upright, watching what Fenn was doing while he was doing it. He tore up a pretty large log, 6 feet long, 3 feet wide. Salzem was sitting on the ground at this point, rubbing his injured arms in a fruitless effort to make the stinging and aches reduce is severity. All he succeeded to do was smearing the still leaking blood over his arms, giving him more of a ghastly appearance. Fenn walked over to Salzem, tying a makeshift vine harness to his shoulders, then to the log. He wondered what Fenn was doing. A simple dragging exercise? The Log was nice and heavy, but at least he wasn't going to be smacked any more by the bamboo flog, right? Nope. Fenn jumped atop the log, not only adding more weight to the already pretty heavy log, but he began to shred Salzem's shoulders with the Bamboo switch. He looked back at Fenn, giving him his most blood-freezing glare before he grudgingly got up and took one step, then another, grunting with effort each time, leaving a wide trail of dirt behind him. After getting some momentum movement was easier, Log now moving with it's own energy which allowed Salzem to direct his energy to picking up his speed. Each time Fenn struck him with the switch, Salzem was tempted to weave in between the trees in such a way that the log would strike the tree and through Fenn off. He didn't act on it of course. Despite the sick pleasure Fenn must be feeling, Salzem liked to think that this whole thing was for his benefit.

Unexpected Training Session - Page 3 Empty Re: Unexpected Training Session

Going at a good pace Fenn would let up on the whipping and he had Salzem continue pulling him though around the forest, And as he grew a bit bored he would flip around and over, so now he was on his stomach and head towards Salzem and began to do push ups on the moving Log, knowing the movement would make pulling the log no easier, but Fenn was not there to take it easy, he was there to train this boy, to make him stronger and better, not to coddle him, well Fenn reached about his third hundred set of push ups and he sat up and told Salzem he could quit running now.

Fenn leaped off the log and waited for Salzem to stop running, and he would then remove the harness from Salzem and sit the Log up against another tree and looked at Salzem and pointed at the, close to three hundred pound, Log and said to him " Practice it all again, on that log" Meanwhile Fenn Stepped away and turned, he kept Salzem in his periferals but he would practice the moves yet again.

First he formed his hands to shape a tiger and focused his chakra in his hands and then thrust his arms forward, shooting from his hands a wind vaccum that made a tigers head, and then after it traveled a safe distance away it exploded. Then He would begin to punch the air, slowly building momentum, then once his swings were going as fast as they could he channeled chakra into them and they sped up, until suddenly fire sprouted off of his hands as he punched the air with a erratic pattern.

When he was done he turned to face Salzem, as the entire time he had kept the kid in the corner of his eye, and watched, and now he watched with both eyes dead on him, he did not expect improvement, he expected something much more, Determination to get them perfect, dispite the hellish training he just went through.

Unexpected Training Session - Page 3 Empty Re: Unexpected Training Session

Mon Aug 03, 2015 10:19 am
After picking up a decent amount of speed, he had noticed a weight shift. The log had gotten lighter. Not much, but noticeable. He looked back and noticed Fenn had gotten off. He stopped and looked back, confused. He used a few moments to check himself for injuries. His shoulders were more deeply struck than his arms, long lashes stretched from the blade, down the base of his back. If he didn't know how these happened, he would have guessed he got into a fight with a rather large reptile. His arms were no longer bleeding as much as they were before. That role was now given to his back. They stung like hell, and the more he thought about them, the more he came aware of the burning ache that arched under each lash. His body groaned in protest as Salzem forced it upright. This stinging pain wasn't really intense, just immensely annoying, like an itch you just can't reach. He swore. This sensation was going to drive him to insanity and the feeling of blood crawling down his spine wasn't exactly helping. Salzem's shirt was torn to pieces, barely covering his front by a small strap of fabric hanging around his left shoulder. He looked down at his arms, eyes matching the color of the tears stricken randomly across his body. He looked like a horror show, like someone who had barely escaped death on the torture rack. Fenn had removed the vine harness, fresh stinging made him aware of it as air met the raw flesh underneath. Bah. This wasn't training. This was a mauling. His body burned, his vision was slightly blurred, nothing in focus, everything fusing with each other. Fenn then sat up the log and commanded him to do everything again. AGAIN! With no form of rest at all. He looked at Fenn, eyes blank, then at the large log, then back at Fenn again. He sighed, then stumbled back over to the log, getting into a fighting stance.

He formed his hand into a tiger sign, then thrust it upwards until his hands connected with the log. Thousand Years of Death, Done.
If he remembered correctly the next one was the Leaf Gale. Keeping one foot in place, he spun backwards, bringing his other leg around in a spinning back kick, heel striking the side of the log firmly with a loud crack! His foot was a tad sore now, but that was okay. He was sure he had gotten that one down. Now... onto the next one.
This one was a tad simple. A jab with a moment of build up prior. At least, that's what it appeared to be. What it was, was stopping power. After a moment of concentration, of focusing his energy just so, Salzem threw his jab forward smashing into the log. However, instead of going through, it left a solid imprint into the middle of the log. Yes. This was good. Onto the next.
This one, Salzem had a bit of experience in doing. The Leaf Great Whirlwind was pretty much the same as the Leaf Whirlwind, except it had much more of a punch. Salzem ducked low and spun, stretching out his leg in a sweep. If this where a normal person, they would have fallen, spinning. However, considering this was a three hundred pound log, it simply fell on its slide as it Salzem had done a simple leg sweep. The spinning-top jump Fenn had done on his first demonstration of this technique was pretty, but not necessary. Salzem would keep to what he absolutely needed to do now, considering the state of his body. As the log fell, Salzem knocked it into the air with another high kick, jumping up and landing a series of kicks, starting low, then moving their way up. Salzem would then flip upwards so that he was above the log and ended it in a heel strike, slamming the log back down to earth. He set it upright, trying to get his bearings. Dizziness and exhaustion maxes for a truly disgusting pair.
Next was the Great Leaf Gale. Like with the Great Whirlwind, it was the same as the Leaf Gale, but with more power. He leaped up slightly, spinning backwards and bringing his leg around to strike the top of the Log. As with the first time he did it, not to terribly difficult.
Then it was time for the Intersection Method. This move was designed to crush any limb that was used to attack. Salzem wondered how he would use this on this log. Shrugging, then wincing as his wounds were still fresh, he flipped the log on its side, then grabbed it with both hands. He struggled to lift it, but eventually, he managed and he tossed it about 3 meters into the air. just before it reached stomach level, Salzem raised his knee, then brought his elbow down on it, striking it from the top, and the bottom, there was a sickening noise, like the shattering of bones. Salzem paused, waiting a second. Then two. He waited for the immense pain of a broken bone to come. Then he noticed, it didn't. He looked down at the Log which now was back on the ground. It had a solid dent on either side where his knee and elbow had struck it, splinters of wood laid around the log, dislodged from the blow. He set the Log back upright, catching his breath for a moment before he moved onto the last one: Tokken.
It's similarities with the Jab was two-fold. 1. It was all about stopping power, about flooring whatever was coming the your way. 2. It's apparent simplicity was a veil for how devastating it can be. He picked up the Log again. Some how, doing it a second time didn't make it any easier. He tossed it, this time so it was vertical and he through it over the ground instead of in the air so it would simulate a running body. He then ran at max speed so that he had a 5 meter head start on it. he then would step in front of the Log's path, readying himself for impact. Just as the Log came within a meter, Salzem dashed forward, striking the center of the log with his shoulder. All seemed to freeze for but a moment. The Log had come to a dead stop, and fell back down to the ground with a plop. It had a solid crater where his shoulder had struck it. He felt nauseated. His exhaustion was taking it's toll. His breath was heavy, almost heaving. He turned slowly to face Fenn, sweat and blood pouring down his body.

Unexpected Training Session - Page 3 Empty Re: Unexpected Training Session

Thu Aug 06, 2015 1:17 am
Fenn Once again watched as Salzem, his new student was put through hell but this was simply due to his wounds on top of trying to do all the new techniques all over again, Fenn knew this Kid was not going to last much longer, but he wanted these lessons engraved into the kids Memory, he had to make sure of it, so he was as hard on the kid as he could possibly be, when the kid collapsed he walked over to the kid and began to heal his wounds using the Medical basics AKihana had taught him while back, but to him it seemed like forever, that day with her he learned so much, it was unreal, Fenn let out a sigh as the thought of never seeing Akihana again crossed his mind.

As Much as he did not want it to be true, he knew this path he was on would most likely lead to his death, And Akihana would never know how He truly felt about her, not due to his lack of attempting, he did try once, or is he just using that as an excuse not to try to express himself again, Fenn no longer knew, but he did space out while he was healing Salzem and was being rather wasteful with his chakra, after he snapped too he finished Salzem's healing and he took a step back and looked at his fine work on the healing of Salzems Shoulder and hands, and of course Salzem's back after he rolled him over so that he could get to them.

After a Moment Fenn would tell Salzem "You did a great job today, Im glad your my student, But Now I must leave, and when I return I might teach you my own personal Style if your interested" Fenn would stand up at this point and turn away towards the boarders, He needed to revisit Ame, to keep his promise to Aios, and he wanted to Check Kiri for potentials and Kumo Survivors.

He would Help Salzem Up first however and see him back toawards Konoha and told him " You Rest up tomarrow and then Train hard while I am gone, I suspect you to have students upon my Return, and if and When I do Return, I might need an Auidence with your Kage, as to make this a bit more Permanent, if you wouldn't mind helping out with that my young student" And Fenn would Smile and ruffle Salzems hair up a bit.

Then turning around and Leaving Salzem, rather it was while Salzem looked at him leave, or Salzem going into Konoha, Fenn did not know, but he hoped he would return Soon to his student, and maybe with the Meeting with the Kage, Fenn could get a full team to train, or even certain individuals, whatever the case maybe there, it all was dependent on this Journey Fenn was about to embark on.

Meanwhile Fenn's Mind raced to Kumogakure, and how his home village used to be, and Fenn's leaving it behind, back to when he left the headband , and the Mask, his days of ANBU were over for the time being, but his Days as a Ninja were stretched far ahead of him, at least this was Fenn's Wish, but he knew the reality of it, Death was right around the corner, be it by his own hands via his technique, or the hands of a more skilled Shinobi.
