Travelling, without style.

Well that had been far easier than expected, though Kaede wasn't all that surprised. The sudden realisation that the storm had been reactivated had come as quite a shock, though the fact that they hadn't changed the required hand seal worked in his favour it seemed. He was still un-noticed by the world as he now sat on a merchant ship that had been on it's way back to the mainland from some place. Now of course, it came down to where was he going to go? There was a map laid out in front of him, though none of the places seemed to be that appealing to him. One thing was for sure though, Kaede wished to get as far away from that place as possible. Nothing but fuzzy memories remained for him there, mostly due to the extended gap year he had been on.
His finger settled on the country that was arguably furthest away from what was once Shimagakure. Kaede hummed quietly to himself, eyes scanning across the map while his finger rested. He didn't know much about the country itself, though apparently it was some sort of tourist attraction and focal point of pilgrimages. From what he knew, shinobi were prominent in that area, with the ruling body being a royal family. Seemed like a nice place, at least for him to re-evaluate his current circumstances. It also gave him a place to lay low at. So that was nice in itself. Not that he was being hunted or anything, he doubted most people knew that he was still active. Well in a sense he wasn't, he was nothing more than a civilian these days. His skills had decayed, what with his lack of practice and training. Maybe he should get back into it, maybe part time? Was a part time shinobi even a thing? Kaede honestly had no idea.
The hours would have ticked by, the ship was quite lively, as was to be expected of a merchant ship. He had long since revealed himself, so Kaede had spent the hours that followed helping out on the ship. Honestly he could have just forced them to take him wherever he pleased, but that wasn't the type of person he was. It gave him something to do anyway, he could have just worried about his financial difficulties that he found himself in. Having managed to drink his way through all of his savings Kaede found himself in the interesting dilemma of being completely and utterly broke. He still had his fancy clothing though, his sick pair of shades that covered the strange set of eyes he possessed where perhaps the most valuable thing he owned right now. Of course there was always his suit, something that was located in his bag of supplies, along with some food and booze he had managed to pilfer before departing.
And so as with any boat trip, it came to an end. The boat rocked up on the docks of some unknown country on the mainland. Kaede bid his farewells to the crew and went along his way. He looked a bit out of place, what with the sandals, shorts, and opened floral pattern green shirt he had chosen to wear for today. Still, he would probably be able to pass of as a tourist. Which was technically what he was. Still, it wasn't exactly fit for travelling. No, of course not. Which is why he had brought along his travelling clothes. In no time at all, he was in his travelling clothes. Said travelling clothes were nothing special, essentially just his suit with a cloak on top of it. As ever with Kaede, his shades remained.
With that, the grandest journey of Kaede's life would begin. He had trekked some distance before, all the way to Yukigakure at least five times because it had been voided over and over. However, this was far past that area. The distance it would take to get to the country of..Kaede didn't recall. So he stopped dead in his tracks, he couldn't have an epic montage of travelling like they did in Lord of the Rings if he didn't know the name of the destination. A look at the map, as yes,Rohan Haven. Strange name for a country in his opinion. But it seemed rather fitting somehow. As the seconds turned to minutes, he continued to travel along the roads through the various different countries. The minutes turned to hours, the hours to days, the days to weeks, the weeks to months. Months to travel across the mainland was of course impossible. Everyone travelled vast distances in like five seconds these days. So it only took Kaede around a day or so to travel through each country. He set a brisk walking pace, he would have activated Fuerza to give him that extra oomph, but apparently that wasn't allowed when travelling. He didn't know why, he didn't know why he thought it wasn't allowed.
It wasn't as if there was some sort of being controlling him to not do such a thing, maybe it was just like some sort of unspoken code that he was somehow aware of. Kaede could have spent many an hour thinking upon this, but that would have been pointless. He was was fairly sure that it was just his mind thinking random shit up in order to keep him entertained on this rather long journey. The meters turned into miles, and the miles turned into nothing. But they kept on rolling by, miles...and miles...and more miles...and even more miles. Kaede was fairly sure he was going the wrong way, or was he going in circles? Hadn't he passed by that tree once before? Okay he was one hundred percent positive that cloud was following him. He'd travelled over this mountain before he was sure of it. Any second now he would arrive overlooking a fie- nope it was a different mountain.
And then he arrived in the country of Haven. Montage over.
