One trip too many
Fri Mar 25, 2016 7:43 pm
How does someone who spends all their time travelling pass the time? For the first few times he had crossed the continent Takeo had been in awe at the sights of the world. Now the scenery just blended together into a giant blur. A couple of times after that he had tried playing games to pass the time. But there is only so many times one can play I spy with themselves. It was at moments like this that the young man pondered the pros of having multiple personality disorder. At least he would have been able to chat with someone as the hours ticked by. "The world is far too large." Takeo had commented at least twice everytime he had made a trip. "How can a place that is so large be so boring to travel through."
This question had plagued him for a long time, and it continued to plague him as he hopped from branch to branch. Travelling through forests was the thing that Takeo despised the most. He had to slow down in order to avoid crashing into a tree. Having his Byakugan activated of course helped the process slightly, but it meant that Takeo couldn't zone out and let his mind wander. Being on alert at all times was not something Takeo liked. It was one of the reasons that he invented the One Way Road, which was unfortunately cut down in the prime of it's life by the evil mods of NRPG.
So why did he travel if it bored him so much? Takeo wasn't sure himself. He guessed it was because he just didn't feel at home anywhere. One of the side effects to blowing up the only place you considered a home he guessed. Then again, maybe if he spent more time in one place he would grow to think of it as a home. The places he had visited so far hadn't appealed to him much. Kirigakure was honestly a mess, and living in a village ruled by his brother was not something Takeo could see happening. It was one of the reasons why he hadn't been around in Tengakure all that much after it became Xyxer's turn to rule. Kumogakure had been an interesting village, the work Youka had done there was magnificent to say the least. But again it didn't seem like somewhere Takeo wanted to stay for an extended period of time. Unless he wished to find himself having to adhere to the lifestyle that was in place.
Hoshigakure had promise, it seemed like an actual decent place to live in. Though he hadn't spent enough time to get to know what the general population was like. So after he had spent some time babysitting Xyxer Takeo had decided to return there. He needed to do that anyway. After all Pig was still there. And he didn't go through all that effort to get him just to leave him. The reason why he hadn't taken it with him of course was because he didn't trust anyone in Kirigakure. Takeo didn't doubt that the moment he turned away Pig would have been made into a bacon sandwich. At which point he'd have to blow the village up, standard affair. Kirigakure really was the home of the scum of the earth. It was a surprise that Xyxer hadn't been usurped yet.
Then again, the majority of them would likely fail in that task. They might be smarter than Takeo had given them credit for.
Boarding the boat that would take him across the ocean to the islands covered in mist Takeo let his mind wander back to the old times. Tengakure had been a fantastic place. Takeo regretted having to destroy it in the end. Perhaps one day he would go back and rebuild it. A goal for the future perhaps. One that Takeo doubted he would get around to doing. Still, it was nice to dream.
The sounds of a storm snapped Takeo from his thoughts, the place where dreams go to die was getting closer.
