Rope Escape Training
Tue Jan 03, 2017 2:13 am
The Rope escapes technique was one of the more common techniques that most ninja learnt, it was almost required to graduate, although not technically ever tested. So while Kaito like the others had learnt about the technique in class. He had completely forgotten to practise it, forgoing the technique to learn far more interesting moves and skills.
That was why this morning he was currently sitting out in the training grounds once more, a book with a neglected page about the Rope technique next to him (Said book being knocked off a shelf to that page being the major thing that reminded him he had forgotten about the Jutsu). Wound tightly around his hand was a strand of rope, he figured that knotting it around a single hand would be a far less extreme binding to get out of, at least he could untie it if the technique failed, a few weeks ago he had seen some other students who obviously didn’t have the forsight and were stuck with their hands tied behind their back until their friend came to their aid. Kaito didn’t want to judge though, maybe the prospect of being stuck would help motivate them to learn the technique. To each their own, but for now Kaito decided to do the safer method.
At least this technique seemed far easier than the others, not requiring any elaborate handsigns and only a small amount of chakra control, at least according to the book he had next to him. He shifted position slightly, making sure that how he was sitting was solid, but not entirely comfortable. Kaito wished to try and replicate a situation where he may be tied up, which meant that he chose to be seated, his back against a tree and his legs cross. His position methodically unmethodical if that made sense. He was sitting just a bit different than normal, with pressure just a bit more of his legs then normal to give a mild sense of discomfort. In the same way that being tied up would likely not be entirely comfortable either.
He focused intensely on his right hand, the rope binded tightly around it. Trying his hardest to draw out of chakra and expend it to unwind the rope. His hand began twitching as the rope shifted a small amount. He let out a small breath before locking gaze with the rope once more. The result was far quicker than he expected with the role pulling tighter on his hand initially, before starting to loosen up further and further. Kaito slowly rotated his hand upside down and the rope while staying binded initially, soon fell down harmlessly on the ground. Leaving nothing but an uncoiled rope and a somewhat red hand.
While he heard the technique was easy, he was still surprised with how little effort it did take for him to get the rope untied. For the sake of testing he grabbed the rope of the ground and wrapped it around his hand once more, this time with several knots being woven into it. He decided not to look down this time, his hand flexing to help him feel the rope, he drew out the chakra once more and he felt the entire binding loosen once more, his hand relaxed to allow the rest of the rope to fall out once with, completely untied and falling once again back onto the ground.
Kaito let out a small smile, it was nice to finally have something that he seemed to have a quick knack for, instead of having to sit down for several hours or even days to learn it like he had to do with many other moves.
The bell rang indicating that classes were going to start soon. He glanced around the training grounds before standing back up and heading to the main building.
(Exit WC 643, 3 stat points and the technique).
