On Edge (Invite Only, No Kill, Private)
Sat Jul 08, 2017 3:16 pm
The morning dawned wet, unusual for Hoshi weather but these were not the most conventional times. It was fitting really as the storm shinobi stood beside her. Arashi had grown beyond what anyone believed possible and that morning, as he had stepped beside her to accompany his mother to the gates, resplendent in his armor and tall, oh so tall, Akihana had felt a mixture of pride and sorrow swirling inside her.
Had she lost one son forever at the expense of watching another grow into the man he was becoming? There was no word of Kenshin yet and Den had been out of reach so looking for Arata in Sanctuary was also not an option. But the blonde couldn't afford to think of that right now. All she could do was have faith that Kenshin will find her son, find him and bring him back home.
That morning however, they had other matters to attend. The Kumogakure delegation was set to arrive soon and she would personally be greeting them at the gates while Ser Kyousuke took stock of the city and strengthened internal security while their guests resided in the city. Arashi had raised his hand to dispel the slight drizzle as they exited the palace but Akihana had stopped him. A little rain never hurt anyone. Guards swarmed around the two, holding up an elaborate shade over the Queen and Prince out of courtesy, a shade they could have done without but what was Hoshi without its ceremony.
The duo arrived at the gates, the area already having been cleared previously for the royal visit. Gesturing for the guards to stay a few feet behind with their gloried canvas tarps, Akihana stepped out into the slight drizzle, the rain clinging to her pale green grown and sliding off her ceremonial jewels. The thin golden circlet that rested atop her brow shone with multiple sized emeralds, a design matched in her single gold bangle and the gems attached to the hem of her gown. The only jewelry out of place on her crafted image her wedding ring, and beside it, the engagement ring someone had once bought every size in because they weren't sure what her ring size was.
Gesturing for Arashi to come forwards, she asked. "So, what do the clouds say? How far are our guests?"

The rain, light as it was, felt cool and sweet as they fell on his skin, and into the garments that lined under his armor. His arms were crossed as they stood in front of the gate, his height almost reaching that of his blond mother. He was different, both physically, emotionally, and mentally. He was without a younger brother, but with a steady relation, who had been able to recover from her attack. He still fought the forces inside him, but he was starting to gain a semi-working relationship with them. He was considered jounin skill, and one would think ANBU if not for the flashy and downright clunky armor.
He closed his eyes as his mother spoke, feeling his chakra through the rain and fog, and into the clouds themselves. Years ago he was able to go a mile, now... he traveled down roads in his mind at the speed of thought, until he saw them. The gathering he was foretold about. He fought his own sensory... for a long time now he always felt another presence there, one that stayed in his peripherals. One that he couldn't shake off or find.
Arashi returned to his core, opening his eyes, and sighing with a shake of his head. "More than I would like, way more. But not enough to overwhelm us. To overwhelm me. Less than a mile ahead, they should be in view shortly." he said, almost matter-of-factly, though there was concern in his voice.
"Something still doesn't feel right..." he said, partly due to the situation, and partly due to the ever-stalking presence. She knew about both. "How can someone so easily bring down a monster such as the Demon Lord of Kumo? And if they are able to, why send their army here if not for war. And how do you know its a ghost of your past?" he said, turning towards her. A spark jumped from his bracer to his chestplate, and a few more danced over him as they faded. He was nervous, and he was suspicious.

Senshi hated Hoshi. It wasn't Kumo, or the land of lightning. It bore no resemblance to his home and he couldn't help the bitterness and hate he felt for the landscape around him. His face was blank behind the mask he wore, but his muscles were tense. He was glad there was a drizzle of rain as both he and Komori would be able to use that to their advantage should these Hoshi shinobi betray them. He didn't know why the Makukage wanted them to come here to celebrate their victories but he knew it wasn't his right to question the man. His duty was to obey the orders of his superior and if the man wanted them to come to Hoshi then that was what they had to do. His armor clinked lightly, the red cloud on the front of it openly proclaiming his loyalty to the Makukage, while the head band tied sideways on his head showed his allegiance to Kumo.
He continued walking in silence ignoring the comrades he had built bonds with for now. Max sitting on his shoulder was a weight he barely even noticed but, Senshi felt more secure knowing that his adopted little brother was close so that he could protect him should any danger approach them. He could see the gates of Hoshi slowly materializing as the group trudged forwards, his eyes picking out the small forms of people. He paused in his steps, holding out his hand to stop the rest of the shinobi walking with him. They were a small contingent for now as Senshi had told the rest of the army that was coming to wait several miles out. No point in walking his Kumo brethren into what could possibly be an ambush.
"Komon, Komori stay near Sakana, he's a valuable resource that can't be risked. Stay here for now, Max and I will approach. As long as it's safe I'll send a message back for you all to come forwards. If Max and I are attacked, flee. Your priority is to get everyone back to Kumo safely." Senshi looked back at the mix of Chuunin and Genin that accompanied him. He made sure to look over the opposite shoulder that Max sat on. He waited several moments to ensure no one had any questions or suggestions to bring up before taking a deep breath he squared his shoulders and continued walking forwards. Once he was just under a hundred meters out from the gates he reached up removing the mask he wore, exposing his bearded face to the shinobi he was approaching.
The half burned side of his face and neck itched annoyingly from the heat and humidity of the area. He placed the mask on his hip before holding his arms cautiously out to the side away from his many weapons. With an annoyed thought he released the hold he had on his chakra allowing it to blaze onwards as he enhanced it with a brief display of power causing his chakra to enshroud him and Max, it formed a flamingo for a brief moment before he went back to suppressing it. He knew the shinobi had seen him since he was walking calmly forwards, his pace sedate but it was important to him that the Hoshi Nin knew he was there without a doubt.
As he approached surprise courses through his very being, he recognized the blonde woman standing beside the man. He stopped cautiously eyeing Arashi suspiciously with muddled brown green eyes before his attention switched to look at Akihana. He had stopped a good gen meters away from the duo not sure if he should approach closer, the knowledge that his Lord's wife was here to greet them had surprised him to such a degree that he was flustered. After a brief moments of hesitation his right hand came up in a crisp salute, the dull clank of his fist connecting with the armor echoing out. He bent forwards slightly at the waist in a respectful bow, not as deep as he would normally have gone due to Max sitting on his shoulder.
"Lady Akihana, we request enterance. Lord Maku ordered us forwards to convene and celebrate our victories with our allies." Once the words had left his mouth he straighter dropping his hand to his side, eyes flickering between Akihana and Arashi. He wondered how Max felt seeing the woman that had offered to adopt him. Why was she standing before them with the Hoshi Nin? Had she left Kumo for these shinobi? Had she abandoned them and changed her allegiance? His mind raced with questions, questions he knew he couldn't ask. His six foot seven frame now towers over the woman who had once taken him shopping and taught him to bake cookies. So much had changed.
((Permission gained from the others to mention them and from Max to say he was riding on Senshi's shoulder))

Such a gloomy day it was, especially considering that this was supposed to be a joyous celebration for the Kumogakure shinobi. The rain was a pleasant surprise, as each drop of water helped cool the boy in the heat of this unfamiliar land. The rain had made it much more humid though, and the atmosphere was thick as they trudged on, their journey nearly complete.
Max would simply sit atop Senshi’s shoulder, keeping to himself as Senshi addressed the others. There were risks involved in what was going to happen next, and everybody knew it. Hoshigakure wasn’t their homeland, and it was filled with foreign shinobi that had many reasons to fear and hate Kumo. An ambush of their forces would likely prove simple enough, as Hoshi held the home field advantage. Max would quickly push such thoughts from his mind, as he knew that so long as Senshi was near he would be safe.
Several people waited at the gates for the duo, though many of them stood at a distance surrounding two that seemed to be of greater importance. Max was still a bit far off to make out any details, but as they got closer he could see the dazzling golden hair of a familiar figure. In mere moments Lady Akihana was clearly in view, awaiting them at the gates. Beside her was a knight of some sort, clad in arcing armor. He gave off the feeling that he wasn’t pleased with the situation at hand. The trained shinobi was likely good at hiding his emotions, but Max had seen such feelings masked many times from Senshi. The knight standing next to Akihana was uneasy.
Senshi was incredibly formal, as was expected of the man. Such formalities and procedure was just his way of doing things. Max on the other hand tended to be much more informal. As soon as Akihana was in sight, Max would wave with his right arm, the metal prosthetic catching the beams of morning light. A smile would be on the boy from ear to ear, unable to hide his joy. Ever since Akihana had left, Max wondered when he would see her again, especially after he had received the letter she had left him. There she was now, standing before Max only a few meters away.
Senshi would address Arashi and Aki, and Max would wait until he had finished before continuing with his next actions, as to not interrupt.
Max would slide down off of the shoulder of Senshi. If pressed he would reassure his adopted brother that it would be okay. His grey-blue eyes would meet the golden orbs of Akihana, and he would step forwards. Without any hesitation he would dash towards Akihana, his arms outstretched as he approached. Such an action might not have been as cautious as it should have been, and likely to cause the Hoshi defenses to react. Still, Max was a child and his joy overtook him, which wasn’t something he was able to say very often. “Lady Akihana! I missed you!” The boy would say as he ran towards the lady who offered to be a mother to the boy. The boy didn’t have any noticeable weapons on him, though a strange mummified object was strung across his back. Napa was ready to defend his best friend if it came down to it.
OoC: Considering the last thing he had heard from Aki (the letter), Max would probably be overly excited to rush over to her and give her a big hug. I assure you that the boy is not attacking, folks

The trepidation Arashi felt, he exuded in waves. Tension had been the most dominant component in the winds of Hoshi since the ghost had appeared. Tension, unease and reigned in emotions. The resulting cocktail was breathable, but just barely. Perhaps it was a good thing that it had rained, possibly it would wash away some of the unease and give way to a rainbow afterwords.
One could hope anyway.
"The thing about monsters," she answered, taking in the lightning sparking across Arashi's armour, his very essence in line with the the weather all around them. "Is that we create them. We nurture them with our convictions, we build them up in our head until they seem all consuming and undefeatable... And we destroy them when we stop believing they are monsters." There would be a time for her to sit and speak to her son about the Raikage but now was not it.
So instead the duo simply waited, Akihana's golden gaze piercing through all the obstacles to catch sight of the approaching party well before any of the guards behind her would see or sense them. Her vision may be clear but there was yet a lot the kunoichi hadn't seen. And then they crested the dunes, appearing cautiously at first, the flare of chakra unmistakable in its always eager to please quality. The pink flamingo wasn't familiar but the high level shinobi exuding it a sight for sore eyes. Perhaps the Riakage had sent Senshi on purpose?
A heavily scarred and burnt Senshi, a second glance revealed as the ninja approached closer to the welcoming party. A shot of pain made itself known somewhere inside the medic, war took its toll on all children and Senshi was no exception. She would have to heal his scars once they were settled in. As the tall bearded ninja addressed her formally, Akihana's eyes traveled to the passenger on his shoulder, a spark appearing in them when it was verifiable beyond a doubt who the small child was.
"Max!" she exclaimed even as the child slid of Senshi's large form and ran towards her, Akihana sinking to her knees to greet him and catching the child in a warm, close hug. "Oh I can't even tell you how happy I am to see you, sweetheart," the blonde spoke into his own golden locks, clutching the boy close to her. For a moment it was like holding Arata's small body in her embrace again, for a moment, the world was right again.
And then she felt the metal limb.
"Oh no, what happened?" she asked, concern flashing in her warm gaze as she took in the small child. Should Max reply, she would listen before getting to her feet but still holding on to Max's hand, not quite ready to let her baby go. "Welcome Senshi, I hope you've been practicing your baking," she spoke, trying to ease the mood all around. "Arashi, this is Kobayashi Senshi, one of the Raikage's personal attendants, and Max," she gazed down at the boy warmly. "Well, lets just say he's one very special young man."
Should the two high level shinobi interact, Akihana would simply watch. Introductions dispensed with, she would ask. "So how many are waiting for the all clear, Captain? And is everyone alright? I know the travel is far and fraught with peril. We have food, water and medical ninja waiting for anyone who has fallen ill over the journey." Should Senshi disclose their numbers, she would gesture towards Arashi.
"This is Prince Arashi Tekiatsu, a Queensguard by rank. He will be taking you all to the academy to get registered as guests in Hoshigakure. There you will fill out some basic forms with details such as your names, clans, your rank and ninja abilities and once you've completed those, you will be given identification that will allow you to travel freely inside the city."
Should the others approach, Akihana would greet them warmly, addressing those she knew with a kinder smile and those she didn't with a simple and polite one. A few were from her days as a Genin exam proctor almost half a year ago. Together, she and Arashi would lead the party towards the academy where they would be directed to fill out the needed paperwork and collect their new ID tags.
One could hope anyway.

Re: On Edge (Invite Only, No Kill, Private)

He sighed... his mother was right, of course, but he still had to feel a twinge of distrust over her wise words. After all, she technically married this "monster", which practically made the former Raikage his step father. Which then lead to a whole new meaning to the term monster. A chuckle for another time, certainly.
He glanced around the area in front of him, what really seemed like a confused terrain considering the unnatural changes Arashi had made. Forests and dunes, grasses both dry and wet. It was said once that Kumo was cold and barren before his family came, and as a result the clan forever changed the climate. Regardless of the accuracy of that claim, Arashi was certainly trying to make Hoshi and the surrounding terrain more comfortable. The blazing heat that used to accompany this arid stepped place had long since past, mostly due to the consistent cooling he had produced.
He tensed up a moment more, when he felt the sudden surge of chakra. Ideally these were shinobi of the new Raikage, not loyal to the Decaying abomination.. and maybe against the hellscape that his home had been turned into. At least, before some of it was seemingly taken down, probably by Akihana's influence. Then the signature faded again, and Arashi hoped that the display of power was a show of arrival, and not a threat of force.
Soon enough, he saw them with his own eyes, and took another deep breath. This was it... the arrivals. To his surprise, however, most o the people here were... young. Including a small boy on the leader's back, waving to them. This was... not exactly the invasion force he honestly expected.
The front shinobi, the leader of the group as it would turn out, arrived in front of them, saluting. Arashi stood as motionless as he could, being respectful for the leader of the village. The first name, however, took him completely by surprise. Maku? THAT Maku? What was possible?? He glanced between Akihana and Senshi, unsure of what to make of it.
"Maku? How? Isn't he..." he said, to her, but trailed off. That most likely merited another explanation later.
He turned back just to see the small one, Max, suddenly rush towards Akihana. He tensed again for a moment, just out of instinct, but relaxed almost immediately. There was a familiarity that was apparent between the two, and Arashi couldn't help but see not this little Kumo ninja, but Arata himself. A memory that brought pain, sorrow, and anger. Eventually it would be up to him to go to his brother... to confront the boy who tried to kill his... girlfriend. Arashi tore his eyes away, focusing back on Senshi, and the other gathered shinobi.
Aki introduced at least the two of them that were before them, and he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. Special boy? How special were they talking? Ultra powerful? Rescued orphan? And then there was Senshi. Which Raikage? It was a bit apparent that Aki was waiting to see if the two of them would acknowledge each other, and he turned towards Senshi.
"Welcome to Hoshigakure no Sato, the Village Hidden in the Stars." he finally said, nodding to Senshi.
His mother proceeded to introduce him, and he swung his head around at her. No mention of his relation to her, and the free use of his last name? He suspected that his family had long since faded from Kumo's memory, but there was no guarantee of that, and if word got out.... Arashi remained silent, listening to her instructions, and when she seemed ready, he signaled for the gates. As they opened, the shinobi looked up at the cloudy sky, and frowned for a moment. Doing a couple of signs, he used his bloodline jutsu to lower the temperature, and increased the rain a bit behind the group that was now going into the city itself. He glanced up at the others at the gate, signaling to close it behind the group, and walked up to walk with Akihana.
As they walked, though, Arashi looked concerned. For a completely different reason. "I thought they were bringing their top shinobi, thats what we expected, and planned for. But its almost like they sent their newest to learn... what happened to Kumo's Academy?"
Senshi felt Max waving on his shoulder and resisted the temptation to face palm at the Genin's excitement. Well that answered his curiousity about how Max felt about seeing Akihana again. After he had delivered his greeting and Max began to slip off his shoulder Senshi's muscles tensed automatically his muddled green brown eyes picking out the sudden tensing of the other man standing with them. His own hands jerked slightly as though to reach for his weapons at the reaction but stilled when the man didn't make any further moves. His eyes remained on Arashi suspicion evident in them while Max and Akihana went through their hug. He refused to admit to himselves that he was feeling slightly jealous at Max's exited reaction to Akihana.
He may physically be twenty two but his mind was still that of an eleven year old and one who had not had any friends let alone an adopted brother. The past months had made him even more unused to sharing Max with others and his eyes flicked over to Akihana briefly before returning to look at Arashi. He was the real threat here, Senshi trusted Akihana even if he felt jealousy towards her currently. That was when his ears registered her question to Max and his jaw clenched automatically as the familiar tingle of terror raced up his spine as the memory of the incident replayed in his mind. His addrenillen surged increasing his pulse and the amount of sweat he was producing. The audible sound of his teeth grinding together echoed out as he carefully inhaled a breath.
Pushing down the terror he felt at the memory of the incident he would remain quiet allowing Max to explain if he so wished. His eyes would occasionally flick away from Arashi to look at Akihana and Max but they always returned to the man standing before him. He made Senshi uneasy, more because of how close he was to Max than any other feeling he received from him. Finally Akihana saw fit to address him and when she did he felt a sudden flush take over his ears and cheeks linking slightly st her question. When he spoke his voice was slightly gruff with embarrassment, "I have Lady Akihana, Max had been kind enough to sample it to ensure I wasn't slacking off." His head inclined slightly indicating the blonde haired Genin.
After his introduction Senshi felt his spine straighten slightly at being referred to as one of the Raikages personal attendants. Pride at the compliment flooded his system, while his own feeling s of loyalty to Mortarion surged forwards. His eyes shifted to Arashi as he spoke, but before he could accept the welcome Akihana introduced the man causing a calculating look to enter Senshi's eyes. Leaning forwards slightly he offered a shallow bow to the man bearing the title of Prince and Queensguard. "Thank you for your welcome Sir, it is appreciated." Politeness waged with his natural suspicion against anyone not from Kumo. But eventually politeness won out as it usually did and he dropped his gaze slightly before straightening from the bow.
His ears registered Akihana's question as to their numbers and such and his spine straighter as he braced himself to attention. "Our forward group is eight strong, one Jounin, two Chuunin, and five Genin. I deemed it appropriate to leave the majority of our contingent several miles back so as not to increase any tensions or overwhelm your guards." He paused in his words, taking a breath he continued. "Portions of the army are walking wounded, I am displeased to report that our medical capabilities are currently subpar, though we have several field medic qualified shinobi they are overwhelmed." His hand moved slowly and withdrew a scroll from his weapons pouch, he hesitated a second before offering it to Arashi. He had gathered by the way the other man stood thst Lady Akihana was in charge here and as such he shouldn't be offering her anything directly.
"The scroll contains a more detailed report on our forces as well as the original letter our Deputy Raikage, the Makukage, issued ordering us here." Senshi having no knowledge that his sworn liege had since been replaced merely reported the facts as he knew them. His tone dropped all emotion st the mention of Maku however, hate lancing through his being st the thought of the man who had burned him and nearly killed Max. "A short summary is that we have six hundred and forty seven shinobi, regular soldiers, and civilians. If you want I will order them forwards in groups of fifty every hour so as not to overwhelm your people with our presence." His voice ground out the word your people with an obvious distaste as to having to refer to anyone not of Kumo as hers. She was after all the wife of the Raikage and in Senshi's mind that made her theirs to claim not Hoshi's.
At the permission to bring the other forwards his chakra would glow out not longer being suppressed as he activated the telepathy seal, his voice soon echoing in Komon, Komori, Max, and Reizo (who had not accompanied them) heads. "Come forwards, Komon, Komori stick by Sakana and bring up the rear. Have the others walk a bit ahead of you in order to keep some distance. Also their going to be asking information on or capabilities remind Sakana to not disclose his status as a Jinchurriki. Max, keep Napa ready in case they make a move." He added the final part to Max reluctantly, he was having doubts that the blonde haired boy would be focused on any sort of mission. Once the others had joined them Senshi would look at the two Genin, his gaze clearly dismissing Sakana as one of them. Senshi thought of the boy as more of a Chuunin anyways.
"Stay close, Renji keep to the left." With that Senshi would turn his attention back to Akihana and Arashi giving a nod that they were prepared to follow them. His chakra went back to being suppressed as he stepped forwards , squaring his shoulders in order to appear more confident and draw more eyes to himself rather than the lone Genin he wanted the group to completely ignore. As he followed silently, behind Arashi his eyes roved over everything as they moved, muscles tense underneath his armor and hands ready to move to draw a weapon. He felt a sudden unexpected drop in temperature and the slight relaxing of his muscles was quickly corrected as Arashi spoke. His words were quiet but they weren't making much noise so it was simple to overhear.
His voice ground out, emotionless as his face was as he stared at the back of the two Hoshi shinobi' ahead. "You would do well not to insult us Prince Arashi." He held himself back from saying more, being underestimated was a good thing. But the insulting words from the man had struck a cord in Senshi. The majority of this group was well and truly battle tested, and to have some Unknown shinobi referring to them as some sort of fresh out of the Academy students angered the usually impassive Jounin. Not to mention he had personally ensured the training of each of the Genin, whether by ensuring Max oversaw it or partaking in it himself. His pride demanded that he speak up in their defense, especially Komon and Komori's since both were not only war tested but each had fought a Bijuu. He wouldn't accept any insults onto his friends abilities.

Well, he wasn’t dead. That was always a plus in his books. Max would embrace Aki, happily hugging the First Lady of Kumo. She might have been the Queen of Hoshi, but Max would always see her as the Flower of Kumo. When she asked the boy about his limbs, he would put his head down a bit. The memories of Maku nearly killing his team flashed before his eyes, the phantom pains returning to the metal prosthetics. He wasn’t sure how to word it, not wanting to spread any additional concern about Maku and his presence here. If he is willing to do this to his people....
“I… Well…. We were on a mission,” the words were falling out of Max’s mouth clumsily, the right phrasing being just beyond his grasp. Of course, Max taking on some of Senshi’s qualities would cause the next part to come out bluntly, no room for eloquence or sugar coating. “We ended up fighting Maku and he hurt us all,” Max would gaze over to Senshi’s face and then down to his own arm “it was pretty bad. Luckily Senshi was able to stabilize me and stop the bleeding, despite his owns injuries.” Max could feel the water building up just beneath his eyes, but no tears poured down. He might have been a child, but he had to stay strong, especially in front of the Hoshi ninja.
Upon hearing the words in his head from Senshi, Max would respond without hesitation, Understood, Senshi. I won’t let them do anything to hurt you. While the boy was ecstatic about seeing Akihana again, he would not abandon the bond he had formed with Senshi. They were close like brothers, and the young genin wouldn’t stand to see his sibling harmed by anyone. The same could easily be said about the others as well, their bonds close as well. In these strange times, we Kumo ninja needed to stick together to keep each other safe.
Tekiatsu? Hmm… the boy pondered the surname, his thoughts delving into his pools of knowledge. The name sounded familiar, but Max wasn’t quite able to place it. The boy had regularly read up on the various clans and bloodlines, and he also managed to access many of the old kumo records and files a good portion of the time. Mortarion wasn’t particularly concerned with the day to day activities of his shinobi and so Max had many days devoted to research. Of course, his databanks weren’t the greatest, the proof being in his inability to recognize the Nara clan symbol. Maybe this Tekiatsu clan was something to look into further. Who knows, maybe he could ask the knight himself sometime.
Max would stand there, holding Aki’s hand, Napa ready in case this was a trap of some sort. The boy would turn to the knight, the one known as Arashi. “Hi Arashi! I’m Maximillian Yamaguchi, but my friends call me Max. Pleased to meet you!” The boy would say this with a smile, his hand not clutched on to Akihana now extended to hopefully meet Arashi’s. He knew Arashi’s name, and so it was only fair that Arashi know his. If the knight would accept the handshake, Max would respect the knight a bit more for his lack of distrust in the boy. If not, there would be plenty of time to get to better know one another.
“Newest to learn? Our academy is just fine.” Max confused at the man’s way of looking down on them. “Kumo trains warriors. I myself am a trained shinobi.” The boys brow would furrow, displeased with being looked down on. Despite his age, Max had been a full fledged shinobi, and he was unaccustomed to people treating him much differently due to his age. Senshi also didn’t seem to appreciate the remark.

Komon listened closely from the camp a couple hundred meters back, as his friend and superiors voice rang through his ear. “Got it” He’d think as he sent the quick mental note back, turning he’d face the rest of the group he had wrangled up and escorted to the gates not long ago, his brother and max and some others where training, but he knew that those two at least, had heard the message as well.
So instead he’d turn towards Sakana Kaori Renji and Satoru, the part of the group without that mental connection. “We’re good to go, pick up your things and lets move” He’d say as he crossed the group and made his way to sakana.
“This should go without saying but when they ask you about your capabilities, leave your status as a jinchuriki out of it. That’s top secret village information, and not to be shared with just anyone”
He’d say quitely and out of earshot from the rest of the group.
“Let’s go everyone!” The chuunin would say as he ignored senshi’s request to stay in the back of the group. He wasn’t going to hide behind gennin if something went bad after all, that wasn’t him. He’d keep the group safe to the best of his ability.
At the gate he’d take note of Akihana, he had hardly known her in kumogakure and had only interacted with her on one occasion, but she had been the one to deem him worthy of being a ninja. I doubt she even remembers me. He’d think to himself, after all he had hardly been anything special in the academy.
The group would then start moving towards the academy with the armor clad man, and the woman with the golden hair. Moving around hoshi Komon felt naked… He had no sense of direction, the humming of the undead couldn’t be heard from within their walls, and the architecture of the city left untouched by combat.
It was different, and he wasn’t sure how he felt about it yet. Too many unknowns. He’d shake his head as he usually did when he overthought things in order to snap himself back to consciousness, in time to see a paper extended towards him.
He’d fill out the required fields first before returning it and taking his id. The form would read:
Name: Komon Hyuuga
Clan: Hyuuga
Rank: Chuunin
Specialties: Ninjutsu/Weaponry
If this was enough he’d take his id, and go to wherever he was told too.

The young genin looked up as Komon approached part of the group, stating they were good to go and could now pack up and head into Hoshigakure. Without hesitation he followed, wanting to get inside the village as soon as possible. As he followed Komon and the others blindly through the streets of Hoshigakure, he wondered dimly how safe he would be while he was here. He doubted it, with what he had come here to do, but hopefully it wouldn't be that bad.
Eventually they came to a stop, and papers would be handed to the group, which they would need to fill out. Kaori sighed, because this meant there was a chance his parents or Takumi's parents could find him in Hoshi. However, he merely accepted the paper, quickly scanning it with his eyes before he began to fill it out.
Name: Kaori Kondo
Clan: N/A
Rank: Genin
Specialties: Medical
After he had filled it out, he waited a moment, and if it was enough, as he sincerely hoped it was, he would take his I.D, and go where he was told to.
