Another great day for training

A day had passed since Mook had last trained, in his previous session he was training his strength and decided to learn the 2 jutsu required for the Genin exam. Today Mook thought it would be a good idea to focus on his speed, as mook was already inherently agile if he was able to move quick he believed it would benefit him greatly in the future. Mook headed to the training ground at the ninja academy so he could begin his training, today was again another beautiful sunny day, one perfect for some hard work and training. Mook's plan was to warm up with some laps of the academy and then go into some speed work. So he started with his warm up running at a sub maximal pace just taking in his surroundings. As he was running he took in deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth, this was Mook's primary strategy he used to clear his mind and focus on the task at hand. Mook found running enjoyable, during his childhood he was a very active kid as he was always helping his father on the farm, he felt that he was pretty physically active for his age but once he got to the academy he realised that he was one of the weaker students, this drove mook even more and made him more motivated to train harder, this drive coupled with his excitement after learning the new jutsu meant that Mook was in an extremely good mindset while preparing for the Genin exams. While running around the academy grounds Mook was trying to take in all of his surroundings, the sound of the birds chirping, the trees branches blowing across the wind, the sound of the bustling city square in the distance, it was all a strategy for Mook to ground himself. And now he was ready to begin the brunt of his training.
Mook headed over to the trees in the distance, once he found a suitable tree he broke of a few branches. He was going to use the branches as markers for his sprint work. He walked over to an open area in the training grounds and placed the branches in approximately 10 metre intervals. Mooks first set was just going to be simple 10 metre sprints. This was to work on his acceleration and to try and reach his top speed as quick as possible. He prepared himself for the first sprint and got himself in his ready position, head down and body leaning forward. On his own count he started his run. While sprinting he focused on his body movement, trying to push hard through his legs to propel himself forward. Before he knew it the first sprint was over, he walked back to his starting point. Hid did this again 4 more times, he felt himself gradually getting quicker after each sprint. His next exercise he was going to do was 10m sprints up and back, this was to work on his change of direction. He set himself up again in his ready position and took a few deep breaths, he propelled his body forward quickly and explosively focusing on applying as much force into the ground as he could. As he was coming up to the first marker he slightly slowed down and then planted his foot in line with the branch. He pushed off the foot hard and headed back to the start. He felt himself already becoming quicker as if hes body was becoming used to moving at a faster pace. He did this again and again until he started to get tired, this was about 5 repetitions. He then took a break to get his energy back. He went and sat under the shade of the trees so he could relax for a while. As he was sitting there he was going through the different Jutsu he had learned in his head, what the hand signals were, how he had to focus in order to successfully execute the jutsu, he wasn't going to make any mistakes when it came to the genin exam, he was sure of it. He knew that only a few more hours of training would mean he would be able to take the genin exam and finally become a part of the vast ninja world.
Mook had rested long enough, it was time for the next exercise. This time he would be doing suicide runs. This was a type of running that requires you to stay at top speed for a prolonged period aswell as continuously change direction. He would sprint 10m then come back to the start, 20m to the start and then finally 30m to the start meaning he is running 120m all together. He would do this for as many times as he felt adequate or until he couldn't run anymore. He prepared himself for the first set, then took off as quick as possible. Making it to the first marker and changing direction quickly, mook knew this was going to be a quick one. Once he got back to the start he changed direction again, now heading for the 20m marker. Once he got the marker he was starting to feel some of the fatigue, but there was no way he was going to give up! He made it back to the start and now it was the final stretch, 2 30m runs and it was over. He pushed as hard as he could, doing his best to try and stay as quick as possible. Once he made it to the 30m marker he was spent and tired, but he knew he had to push, if he pushed through know it would help him in the long run. He finally made it back to the start and collapsed in fatigue. He layed there face up looking into the sun, damn was he tired. After a few minutes he got back up and prepared himself to go again. He ended up doing this two more times. Once he was done he headed home for a nice warm meal and a rest in his bed.
