Now It Really Begins (P)
Tue Feb 20, 2018 11:04 am
The crisp early morning air slowly faded as the still pink celestial body began to begin to upward journey into the sky. The training ground would be open, the dilapidated church on the end long since abandoned mid remodel. The old earthen construct that had been made back when the only occupant of the area first met Kenshin Uzumaki had long since been gone, either destroyed in some spar between the two he couldn’t quite remember or by some other training shinobi in practice. Instead the field was an earthen plane, the desert beginning not far away over the village walls. The dried and cracked earth soaking up any moisture it could from the surrounding area. The moon still hung in the sky, a simple sliver, barely visible in the gradually increasing light of the sun. Today would be a good day, for it was one with purpose. It had been two days since the great beast known to the world as the Gobi had been sealed inside of the occupant of these training grounds. Two days since he had been in the last fight for his life at the side of the only woman he could say would be able to break him with a few simple words.
This occupant, would be Valen Akari, Deputy Kage of Hoshigakure No Sato. Known to some as ‘The Dark Prince of Hoshi’. The shinobi would be garbed in his Armor of The Snake Lord, his personal cloak, and be slowly moving through weaponry katas with his favored blade, Twilight. He was waiting for someone, a chunin whom he had met when he was still a fresh genin. As a matter of fact he had fought the boy in this very field. He was tearing both him and another genin, Cole Kaguya, apart bit by bit when the session was interrupted by a rather bloodthirsty Kenshin. They had just begun their own fight when Kenshin was called away on a mission. Valen, proceeded to end the training session with the other two boys. Deciding that enough had been done that particular day.
The boy in question was Kotetsu Shinogami, he had called him here to give him a trial intending to test him for Jonin promotion. This confused Valen, as the boy was only seven, but he would do as requested. As Deputy Kage the midnight haired teenager was one of two people in the village authorized to give someone an advancement in rank. While he had missed the tournament fight yesterday until the final chunin fight. He had received notice from Kyousuke, before the man had to leave to investigate something outside of the village. That Kotetsu, while disqualified for killing the summon of his opponent. Showed great promise that did not deserve to be ignored due to his techniques that were more suited toward killing. After all shinobi were killers as well as protectors. As such Valen had sent the notice, requesting the presence of Kotetsu in full combat gear, and prepared for a hard fight this morning. He had not specified a time, as Valen himself had arrived at the crack of dawn with the intent to run through a few sword katas to ‘warm up’. Kyousuke had given specific orders to not hold back, as Valen, while Deputy Kage, was still jonin level himself. Meaning while he could promote Kotetsu, he would need to be sure the boy could fight on his level.
Valen did in fact find it hard to believe that a seven year old would be able to progress so quickly in such a short time frame. If his body had been more mature he would certainly believe it could handle the physical strain that such a training regimen would require. The mind itself even, would quite possibly go through a mental breakdown and shut down due to being unable to fully comprehend or understand all of the jutsu theory and application, chakra manipulation exercises and mission protocol, etc. Without being more seasoned with age. Indeed Valen did in fact find it hard to believe this boy could possibly be Jonin material. But, he wouldn’t deny Kyousuke a request such as this. The man saw something in the boy, and Valen would beat it out of him.

It was the day after the tournament. He had gotten so close. The chance to become a Jounin had been in his grasp, only to be disqualified on a technicality. It was such an ignoble way to end a fight. He had planned it out perfectly, there should have been no reason that his plan would have gone so awry. 'Oh well...' Kotetsu thought to himself as he got cleaned up and dressed for the day. 'Guess I'll have to become a Jounin like everyone else...' Kotetsu didn't mind that, the easy way was not how Kotetsu normally did things. He did enjoy the chance to show his skills, and be rewarded for that in the process. There would be other opportunities. The black-haired Chuunin was just about to head out to run some errands for his parents when a messenger had arrived. It was from Valen, the Deputy Kage. Kotetsu was to meet Valen at the training ground; "You know which one." was the only identifier for the location. Of course Kotetsu would know. How could he forget the training ground where he had sparred with Valen for the first time. He and Cole did horribly against him in that first encounter. Of course that couldn't be helped. Kotetsu had only just graduated the academy at that point. He escaped that encounter with a lot less injury than he had expected. However that was because Kenshin had shown up to fight Valen, as well as the scarred shinobi needing to leave not long after.
He was to show up ready for battle. 'Maybe Valen was feeling nostalgic and wanted to spar again...' Kotetsu thought to himself with a smirk. 'Oh well, looks like I'll need to put these errands on hold...' With that, Kotetsu went back upstairs to look over his gear and make sure it was all in good shape. Of course it was, with the exception of the three kunai he had recovered after the fight. They had dulled a little due to passing through the large wolf that had been Damon's summon. One of them was duller than the others, likely the one that had also pierced Damon's foot, nearly splitting it in two. He spent 30 minutes re-honing the edge on those weapons, in order to have them in perfect working condition again. His armour was fully intact as well, since he had not been touched in that fight. With a touch of his hand, the manipulated fabric flowed up his arm to take its place on him. He chose his new regular outfit to mimic; a pair of blue robed pants with silver trim, as well as a black and silver vest of small leaf-shaped scales. The silver scales formed a snowflake design exactly like the necklace he wore on the chain around his neck. To better protect it, the pendant was tucked under the vest for now. He wore his Chuunin flak vest over top, and his Hoshi hitai-ate would be hung around his neck, like a loose gorget. Instead of his backpack, his normal equipment went into his weapon pouches and the pouches on his flak jacket. His Katana was slung across his back as usual. With all of his gear in place, he left a quick note for his family and headed out. He had only been to that specific training ground once but he didn't need any direction to get there.
The training ground hadn't really changed. It was still an empty patch of dirt near the edge of the village. The church was still there on one side, half standing. The shelf of rock that had been near the center of the training area was gone, likely long-since destroyed. Valen was waiting for him when he walked in. It didn't look like he had changed much. At least not that Kotetsu could tell. Sure he had some new armour, but otherwise he looked pretty much the same. As Kotetsu walked over to him he would chuckle. He gave Valen a respectful bow, he was the Deputy Kage after all, before saying with a smirk "You're shorter than I remember, Valen-Sensei."
It was time to see what this was all about.

Valen’s eyes would narrow at the newcomer carefully as he took in every visible bit of his appearance. Blue clothing with silver trim, black hair and a confident, matured air about them. He didn’t know who this person was but they weren’t supposed to be there. He was about to say as such before something caught his ear. ‘Valen...Sensei?..’ He would think for a moment and letting his mind run through the people in his mind that might possibly call him that. The only two people within the village were Cole Kaguya, who had hair as white as snow, and… Kotetsu.. The very ‘boy’ he was waiting on. Sighing to himself quietly he would slowly begin to think about all of the possible ways the boy could have aged so quickly before coming to only one solution. ‘Space Time Manipulation..’ He would think silently being closing his eyes in thought ‘For Light’s sake, in the past week I’ve fought a bijuu, had it sealed into me, kissed the girl I love unexpectedly, discussed that action with her in depth, was immediately asked to do this fight and now I figure out the kid I beat around the training grounds a few weeks ago has managed to age himself a fucking decade in the same few weeks… I quit..’ He would think, the last part jokingly of course as he shrugged and sighed again ‘At least his hair style improved.’ He would think before opening his eyes to reveal golden irises.
The newly aged Kotetsu had stopped a mere meter away. He may have thought they were going on a mission or something but he was about to be sorely mistaken. He wouldn’t know why he was here, the Swordsman didn’t want the boy to be thinking about possible promotion and if he was performing alright. He simply wanted him to act, and keeping him in the dark allowed him to do that without second guessing himself. The goal was to fight and try not to fall to the blissful depths of unconsciousness. Of course the moment Valen had actually opened his eyes he would draw his blade as he maximum speed, the meter long distance not enough to be out of range of his initial swing. The devastatingly fast Yojinbo would be used here, bringing Valen’s swing speed to 235 out of the gate. Blisteringly fast, with most chunin being completely incapable of noticing before being cut in half. Indeed the boy would notice a very different tone to this fight than before. A latent energy would fill the air, causing the hair on one’s arms to stand on end in nervousness. As if death was promised should the person this energy was directed at failed to impress.
This was not a joke
The opening strike would be nearly lethal if it struck, but Valen used chakra to dull the blade pretty considerably. Of course should the taller shinobi bring up some kind of defense he would completely automatically stop doing as such. Bringing the full sharpness (192) to bear upon whatever defense the man conjured up. If the strike struck the man full on it would hit the arm with the full force Valen could put behind the swing. It wouldn’t cut, but it would probably shatter the arm. Keeping it from being used for the remainder of the fight.
As if that would stop this fight
Valen was here under orders to test this one for Jonin promotion. Even if his opponent didn’t know it. If a simple broken arm were enough to make them quit then he couldn’t in all reality be able to promote him now could he? One needed to adapt, and quickly, to earn such an elite title. An example of doing such a thing would be what Valen did as he swung, as at the same time as the draw the Dark Prince would extend his chakra sensory to prepare for any trick as well as prepare for any kind of reaction from Kotetsu, allowing him to react to any counter attack immediately. Which with his RT at 290 at the moment, he would almost assuredly be able to catch.

Re: Now It Really Begins (P)

Valen hadn't said a word. That had taken the Chuunin aback. 'I would have expected him to say something...' Kotetsu thought to himself. Valen had closed his eyes briefly; it almost looked like he was annoyed at something. Kotetsu involuntarily took a step back just as Valen opened his eyes. He wasn't scared of Valen per se, but he was a powerful shinobi, and he was intimidating in every right. Kotetsu remembered the sparring session that he saw between Kenshin and the shinobi before him, and he didn't want to be on the bad side of either of them. It seemed that it was a good thing he did; for in that next moment, faster than Kotetsu could even react, Valen had a blade in hand, golden eyes shining. The scales that had formed on his chest had been split. 'He swung his sword at me?..' He thought to himself. 'Guess it's not a mission...If he wanted to fight, he should have said something...'
With that, Kotetsu would breathe out a mist centered on the pair of them. It would grow to encompass a sphere with a diameter of 50m at a speed of 185. At the exact same time as the mist was being expelled, Kotetsu would infuse his passive sonar into the droplets, extending his ability to detect movement throughout the entire thing. Assuming that it wasn't above his natural reaction time of course. Kotetsu would then clap his hands together and breathe in simultaneously, activating his wind rejuvenation technique. He would also be moving away in a manner that would require Valen to swing across his body in order to strike at Kotetsu should he attempt to close. 'I need to be able to react faster if I have any hope of holding my own... ' Kotetsu thought to himself.
The series of actions would be the same should his unexpected defense not actually work, and he have a shattered arm (the only difference is that he would have to reach over to clap his hands, and it would hurt like a bitch).

‘He stepped back’ He would think as his blade tore through the air at a ridiculous pace. The stoic expression on the Akari’s face never once changing as he noted his target hadn’t stepped far enough back. See the length of the Akari’s arm gave him more than enough reach with his meter long sword to strike the arm due to the boy having only stepped back a single step. The chakra blunted object would indeed then slam into his arm with the speed of 235 and with more than enough force to shatter the arm at the elbow joint where the strike in particular was aimed. This would of course make the arm nearly impossible to use as the muscles within the arm would no longer have anything to pull against. As the blade struck Kotetsu, Valen’s fingers, on the hilt of the blade, would form the seal of confrontation. Doing so would cause his beloved snake summon Natsumi to appear in the world anywhere within 10 meters.
Valen’s choice of location? Coiled around Kotetsu’s head...right over his mouth. The snake would immediately begin constricting with her strength of 35, this number would not being enough damage to hurt the target. But certainly preventing the man from breathing. As Natsumi was thick enough to cover both his mouth and nose. If his opponent continued to try to use the hidden mist, which needed to be utilized out of one’s mouth, then he would be unable to expel the vaporous substance and it would proceed to go the only other direction it could, backwards. This would of course have adverse effects on the user. So Valen himself would certainly not advise trying to use that ability. It should be noted that Valen’s sword, unless Kotetsu moved would still be ‘connected’ at the elbow to Kotetsu and that the blade would suddenly begin to take on a bright glow, this glow would occur regardless of if Kotetsu moved or not. As this occurred Valen would begin stepping forward, not removing the blade from Kotetsu’s elbow, if anything he would be pressing it against it the entire time. Not only putting the man in extreme pain if something was not done about it. But also keeping him from moving in the direction the blade was in (Valen is left handed, so it would be Kotetsu’s left arm that is shattered btw). As the blade was enveloped in light momentarily, a second blade, with a darker edge than the first would appear in Valen’s right hand.
This blade was an exact replica of the original Twilight, only with a black blade. It maintained the same sharpness and health, and could utilize the first ability of the sword. But no other. At this point Valen would cause the original Twilight to shatter, causing a dome of intangible light chakra to radiate outward at a speed of 70. This dome would go out to 20 meters before becoming physical light and coming back, centered around Valen. The dome would hold a sharpness and burning property of 50 and would be returning at a speed of 100. It should be noted that during the day the dome would be invisible to the naked eye. Should the physical dome strike Kotetsu, it would grind against him, and pull him toward him. Valen would proceed to swing the clones copy of the blade at Kotetsu’s right arm, intent to shatter it as well. This swing would occur at a speed of merely 145 with the full force of Valen’s strength within it. This swing would be timed to occur so that it would happen if and when the dome forced Kotetsu to get within striking range of the blade. Which would of course be blunted as well to not cut him in half.

Re: Now It Really Begins (P)

Apparently he hadn't stepped back far enough. It took him a few moments to realise that his left arm was completely useless, shattered at the elbow. Almost immediately afterwards, he felt something wrapped around his head, covering his mouth and nose, but not the rest of his face. 'Quite the predicament...' Kotetsu thought to himself, working through the pain. He needed to get the snake off of his face. That was the main priority. Valen outpaced him, and enough at this point that Kotetsu wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight without some sort of way to get distance between them. 'It's a shame I don't have two good arms...' Kotetsu thought to himself 'or maybe I do...' The Chuunin had noticed two things. Firstly, his original sword didn't have a blade anymore. Secondly, he had a sword that looked almost identical apart from colour in his right hand. There was only one option that Kotetsu could think of to get some distance between the two shinobi. As Valen stepped forward, since it seemed that he was not rushing things here, Kotetsu took two steps backwards and away from Valen's right hand, as he made a quick hand sign at his max speed in order to make two Shadow Clones. Both clones appeared simultaneously in a small puff of smoke. The first clone was standing between his only functioning arm, and the new sword in Valen's right hand. The other clone was crouched in front of him, quickly clapping its hands together, forming a blast of air that would move directly towards Valen. The reason the clone was crouched, was because it would be directing the blast upwards as well as forwards. This blast would send Valen into the air and away from Kotetsu and his clones at a forty five-degree angle. As soon as Valen was airborne, the clone in front of Kotetsu would turn around and help him pull the snake off of his face, tossing it on the ground off to one side of where they stood. It would also give Kotetsu a moment to start over what he had wanted to do from the beginning; clap his hands together (which hurt due to the broken arm), inhale to activate his wind rejuvenation technique, and exhale hidden mist at a speed of 235, connecting it to his mist sonar. At the same time he had his manipulated fabric reshape the sleeve around broken arm into a sling and brace to prevent it from being jostled too much. In addition to that, in order to avoid another situation with the snake covering his face, Kotetsu and his clones shifted the armor they were wearing to cover their heads and faces with a hood and mesh visor. These changes would happen at speed 100. It wasn't much, but at least there was some distance between the two shinobi now... It would give Kotetsu time to work out his next move.

‘At least he’s willing to keep fighting with the arm..’ The golden eyed shinobi would think as Kotetsu stepped back, dodging his swing in the process and spawned two clones. ‘Smoke? that wasn’t the ram seal. A special clone technique then? Utilizing numbers to try and overwhelm me, good.’ He would think as his eyes would see one of the clones crouching down and clapping his hands together. Valen’s eyes would see the wind dome begin to form around the clone before the swordsman activated his surface walking technique. The incredibly underrated technique would keep him grounded. Especially since the wind technique the clone used only had a power of 10. Since it wasn’t listed with either a number or as being at max possible power after all. This would keep Valen firmly grounded and prevent the majority of Kotetsu’s previous post from occurring. Including the clone pulling Natsumi off, Kotetsu using Wind Rejuvenation, Hidden Mist, and covering his body with the manipulated fabric. At this point the dome would close in enough to strike all three, dispelling the clones immediately and merely singeing off the top of Kotetsu’s hair, giving him a Tonsure hair style now.
Of course the clones being dispersed due the dome finishing would cause smoke to appear. Preventing vision for most, but seeing as Valen could see through smoke and most mists with his eyes his vision was not impaired. As such he knew exactly where Kotetsu was, who was standing two meters away at this point. Natsumi would continue to constrict around Kotetsu’s mouth and nose, preventing breath from being drawn as the crimson garbed shinobi opened his mouth to let his next technique out. The Ten Thousand Snakes, within his throat a portal would appear, that no one could see, but would begin spawning snake after snakes. These reptiles would begin to slither out of Valen’s mouth in a massive wave of the creatures as they began to move toward Kotetsu and toward their beloved sister who was doing so well to keep him from breathing so far. The snakes would have a strength, and speed of 50 with the sharpness of their fangs at a similar number. Their health would be 55 and should they reach Kotetsu they would begin to bury and bite him, repeatedly, the poison that would be running through his veins would begin to slow him by 32, reducing his speed by this amount. Every additional bite would reduce his speed by 10 each time until it reached 0. Of course should they manage to bury him as was their goal then they would bite him until he could not move, before dispersing. Valen would spend the additional chakra to reform his original Twilight early, to make sure he was ready for anything that could come his way.

(Lets try this again...)
It would seem that his clone had no clue as to what Kotetsu had wanted to do when it used the Gale palm technique. The power behind the blast hadn't even been enough to even really rustle the cloak that Valen wore. On top of that, something hit him and his clones, forcing them to vanish, and he hadn't been able to sense it coming, It didn't really do any damage to him, likely because of the snake that's still wrapped around his face. He did see some of his hair fall to the ground though as ash. 'Alright, this is getting to be humiliating...' Kotetsu swore internally as he continued to back away. Regardless of whether Valen charged after him or not, he needed to deal with the snake. As Kotetsu backed away at a speed of 60 he would manipulate the fabric of his clothing to incorporate the sling mentioned before, as well as place a glove over his uninjured hand and pull the snake off his head with his max speed and strength. This would happen at speed 100. While not trying to kill the snake, he would definitely not make the action a pleasant one for Valen's summon. If it was hurt in the process to cause it to de-summon, so much the better for Kotetsu. He would then notice thanks to his sonar, that even more snakes were approaching him he would back away fast enough to outpace the snakes and toss Natsumi to one side. He didn't want to kill it, so better for it to not be in front of him.
Now that the snake was off of his face, it was time to get to work. Kotetsu was mad. He may not be as strong as Valen, but he's definitely going to give him hell for the shit that the Deputy Kage had put him through so far. Since his busted arm was now closer to his working one due to the splint, and the fact that the splint did not currently obstruct both of his hands as that would be counter-productive at this point. Kotetsu clapped his hands together and breathed in, activating his Wind Rejuvenation technique. Now that he was at range, he had a few options at his disposal. There wasn't a lot of range between them right now, about 10 meters, but that was more than enough. Since the snakes were still approaching, he would make a series of 5 hand seals at his max speed of 175 and create another blast of wind, this blast of wind was max size for the jutsu, and at 90 power. This was directed at the wave of snakes to take care of that problem moving towards him. It would also hit Valen if he continued to stand still. Since the wave of snakes would not be larger than the wall of wind, they would all be destroyed. Kotetsu waited until the wind had abated before doing his next attack, since he didn't want anything interfering. He was also following Valen with his eyes so that should the Akari move, he would react accordingly. Kotetsu would simultaneously breathe out mist at a speed of 235 and make 3 hand seals to create hollow orbs of Ice, about the size of a baseball. The mist would form a dome that covers the entire training ground, assuming it was less than 100m in diameter. Since he could see exactly where Valen was thanks to the mist sonar, he would fire each projectile separately. The first one would be aimed where Valen was currently standing, at his abdomen unless he started moving, then it would be aimed at his knees, using his Sonar to carefully lead his shot so that they would intersect. The other three would be fired individually, leading Valen should he decide to start moving. All of the shots would be aimed to cripple, not kill. All four projectiles have a power, speed, and health of 115. He did not want to use his best technique just yet, but he would if he needed to.

Natsumi had been having a lovely day, she was lounging in the sun not far from the entrance to the Ryuchi Cave, letting the warm ball of energy heat the stone she lay upon as she relaxed in blissful ignorance of the world around her. Until she was summoned by her summoner around the head of someone he was fighting. Her initial reaction, as with most snakes, was the constrict around it. Unknowingly covering up his mouth and nose. She noticed the boys arm was shattered, and that Valen was holding his sword. ‘Not a serious fight then, if Valen hit him with his sword he’d almost assuredly cut the man in half.’ She thought as she continued to constrict. Preventing his opponent from breathing and unknowingly stopping the formation of the hidden mist and the activation of Kotetsu’s booster. She would continue to watch as the man made two clones after Valen cloned his sword and made the other one disappear. ‘Oh, I know this trick..’ She would think as the man her summoner was fighting created two clones. One randomly clapped his hands and created a gust of wind while the other tried to pull her off of him. Of course the dome of light that was coming back dispelled them after the gust of wind failed to knock her summoner away. She would notice the new hairstyle his opponent was now sporting. She started to laugh hysterically and while she was doing this she would see Valen opening his mouth to have many more of her brethren appear. None were as great as she of course, but there was a reason she was his favorite after all. Thousands of snakes were coming out of Valen’s mouth last she saw him, before the wave of reptiles hid him from her view. ‘I have a feeling I know what’s coming next..Too bad I won’t have be able to watch.’ She would think as she felt Kotetsu begin to run back and the odd.. Stuff.. He was wearing move around his hand before he began reach up toward her. Thinking quickly she would instantly dispell herself. Knowing full well that he would probably get her off of him that time and not wanting to get hurt. The leftover smoke would climb up into his eyes and into his mouth and down his throat if it was allowed, more than likely prompting a coughing fit.
Valen himself meanwhile would hear full well that Natsumi had dispelled, the sound being rather unique after all. That told him that Kotetsu had moved back, listening for a split second confirmed that he could hear Kotetsu’s footsteps behind his snakes. When Kotetsu reached the 10 meter mark Valen would simultaneously close his mouth, deactivating Ten Thousand Snakes, activate his second level of curse mark, and teleport to the nine meter mark as he moved forward at his new max speed and aiming a brutal punch at the man’s face. Should the punch land the man would find himself flipping end over end, his clothing falling from his body once more. This would signify the end of their little fight, unless Kotetsu came up with something quick then he hadn’t done anything that would make himself worthy of being a jonin. He hadn’t forced Valen into any tough situations, hadn’t even come close to landing a true strike. The Gale Palm was a decent move, but it was subverted by a simple E rank technique and it wasn’t even particularly powerful. The Deputy felt the man simply wasn’t ready yet at this stage. These would be the thoughts and feelings of the man as he performed his latest actions.

Re: Now It Really Begins (P)

'That damn snake...' Kotetsu thought to himself as it disappeared in a puff of smoke as he had tried to pull her off of him. The smoke got in his eyes, which didn't really matter because of his sonar. The smoke getting in his nose and mouth though caused a problem. It interfered with his breathing and doubled him over in a coughing fit. Since you do need to be able to breathe in order to continue coughing, Kotetsu took advantage of one of those breaths to clap his hands and activate his Wind Rejuvenation technique. It wasn't the most graceful method; however it apparently saved him from even greater humiliation. Almost immediately after Kotetsu had doubled over and activated Wind Rejuvenation, Valen had appeared in front of him and aimed a punch at his face. He hadn't noticed until the Deputy Kage's fist was where his head had been. Valen also had wings somehow now. 'Great...' Kotetsu thought to himself ' As if he needed to be faster...' He needed to buy himself a little time. He needed to do something quick. Throwing all caution out of the window, he backed away at his max speed, 1m away from Valen. As he did so, Kotetsu would resort to his second best technique, Certain Kill Ice Spears. Luckily because his booster was activated just as the punch arrived, the spears would benefit from his improved chakra.
Kotetsu created 17 spears Valen. All of them were created within 1 meter from Valen and formed at speed 100, with power 150. Kotetsu aimed two spears each at each of Valen's knees, the outside and back of each knee, those four were long enough to puncture through the joint, but not long enough to reach Kotetsu to prevent himself getting hurt by his own technique. The other 13 would shoot towards Valen in a ring around him all aiming for his body. 6 were aimed slightly lower to catch him if he ducked, the other 7 were aimed higher so that if he jumped he would still potentially get hit. The spears would alternate between high and low so there wasn't a spot where he would be able to simply position in order to dodge the attack. Since some of the spears were also formed. Each spear was 1 m thick at the base, creating a solid ring of ice around Valen as a 2m wide circle has a 12.5m circumference. These 13 spears were also formed to be 1.5 meters long, so as to not injure Kotetsu in the process. Since he was going for the kill, so to speak, Kotetsu also activated his trump card simultaneously. 17 chains with a spiked end were created 5 meters out from where Valen stood. the spiked ends hurtled towards where the Deputy Kage stood at a speed of 170. 13 of them were evenly spaced out like the spears, and these were also created to alternate low or high, however they alternated opposingly to the spears, meaning 6 were created to hit higher, and the other 7 were aimed to hit lower. The chains would punch through the spears that got in the way, but wouldn't affect the damage that the spears would inflict as they would have been fully formed by the time the chains would strike. The remaining 4 chains were formed off the existing chains behind Kotetsu in order to cover the area behind him. All of the chains have power and sharpness of 205, and a health of 170. the ring of spears and chains did something else as well. It created a barrier that the summoned wave of snakes would not be able to circumnavigate. 'Perhaps I went a little too far...' Kotetsu thought to himself afterwards, looking at the sheer amount of power he had wrought in that one moment, falling back on his ass from the sheer amount of chakra he had used all at once. He still had a solid amount of chakra remaining, but the amount he used at once certainly took a little out of him.
