Gone but not forgotten (p)

So as such yen and the two interesting shinobi had pretty much left the bar. And as such the suprise of the aburame was nothing short. To as the induviduals had vanished. A very familiar method to yen as it had occured once before in his prescence. The duo were nowhere within sensory range, but well he knew the pair by their details as such as he decided it was best to resolve the mess.

Casually yen after a few seals as he walked into the kage office simply conjured up out of his pocket demension some documents he was ready to reveal to kinzoku. The fact remained that lightning had struck twice as much in his presence, but well there was not going to be a third chance. Still he motioned to the secutary, and as much with the files on hand he climed the stairs and rapped the door to the hokage's office. Awaiting entrance as he simply wrote the details of the  two induviduals. The burly grey hulkimg man of a brute. The quiet induvidual who's eyes seemed to glow an curious yellow. Their approximant levels of chakra they showed and permitted in his sensed state. The words said and the kaguya's words to him, and kysons responses.

All details nessary to keep in mind as well as the suna gear the man wore with a headband as he awaited entrance.

Yeah we are going to have to close such nonsense from the baisis. 


Yen thought as he fished through a few documents and awaited for kinzoku to awnser or arrive.

Kinzoku had just finished eating his meal as he tossed the scraps and garbage into the near by bin. Clapping the crumbs from his hands he followed by swiping the remaining crumbs off his desk. Just as he began washing away the food from his mouth with a glass of water a familiar chakra signature entered his sensory range. Had it already been two weeks since the two last saw one another and that Yensung had been promoted? Unlikely. Whether it had or had not been did not mater. It either meant Yensung had more news to bring to Kinzoku or he was reporting on the development of their shinobi as he had been tasked with. Either way it would be something Kinzoku wanted to here. So he made sure to clear the stuff from his desk and make it neat as the Aburame made his way through the building and to the office. 

Kinzoku smiled when he heard the Aburame knocking this time, unlike the last time they had met. "Come in" he voiced loud enough to be heard through the door as he awaited the Deputy to enter. Once he closed the door behind him Kinzoku would continue speaking. "Unexpected visit" he stated while leaning back into his chair. He observed the notes the Aburame was currently holding in his hands, assuming his visit had something to do with them. "To what do I owe the pleasure of this visit partner?" he asked crossing his arms into a more comfortable position.

Upon being offered in yen opend and closed the door and with a swift motion took off hat and took a knee as of tradition. Still he held the files in over his knee and smiled grimly.

"Would be better if i had the bearer of bad news... seems our part was pulled out by an outside force from the village, but for what it's worth i took their details down as any should...  this is the second time in my presence such an act occured, but it seems we lack the adiquite defenses to people comming out, or should i dare say it. Them comming in."

Yen stated grimly as kinzoku would get the drift as he stood up and laid the files on the desk. 

"As we promised we should be heading to a future. That would be a start. The last time this occured as you read on file perhaps. Was when salzem was removed from prison a few years back by an outside force."

Yen stated as he gazed at the kage and sighed as he glanced around keeping in mind that the man had done a number to the place.

"Funding will be nessary to apply such an contraption to allow people from breaching through konoha to yank subprdinates as such. Even kyson did'nt recongnize the duo. Which it is safe to say we can focus on improving our detection securities as well."


Yen smiled on a brighter note and spoke up to shift a?quick change.

" You defintley made a good touch to the office. But on that this file here."

Yen stated placing the last file on the desk and smiling fondly at it.


" i have compiled our applicants as a whole for our examination. We will still need a few more, but on that note they too can be pretty diverse. As thus it shows that many do posess tecnical knowledge, but in short what they lack and as i suspected is active aplliance of their skills. In part this is where we will place the application of their training to duty."

Yen stated as he gestured to the second page. And loooked a bit happy. The fact was grand as it would leave each himself, ita, and kinzoku in a seperate squad with non other then love sakumo, and kisuke uchiha in another one.

"We will be watching as observers, participators as well, but well our job is simple. Give each group the challenge. They must arise to the challenge. Or as they give effort. It is imperative they meet all criteria. Only then shall they be deserving of their rank."

Yen stated as he looked down and sighed  softly.

"Our missions will get tougher, and so shall our shinobi. It is the goal after all. A strong system is devised on our shinobi desire to overcome and break through walls."

He watched as Yensung entered the office while closing the door behind him as expected. What came next was not to be expected. The Nazar was slightly caught off guard as he raised a single eyebrow to the kneeling Deputy. The sight of Yensung kneeling brought back the memories of Xyxer making everyone kneel to him on the battlefield as well as when he knelt for Xyxer after having amputated his own hand. It was a sign of dominance, one Kinzoku did not feel the need to enforce over Yensung nor the shinobi of this village. Kneeling was a sign that you were beneath the recipient. Kinzoku did not want his shinobi to feel like they were beneath him. After all it could have been anyone else who had become Hokage. Kinzoku was only seated here by chance. Not because he truly deserved it.

"A simple bow will suffice" Kinzoku informed the kneeling Deputy moments before he stood and approached the desk informing Kinzoku that he had bad news. It was to be expected eventually. Based on his words there were people he had with him that simply up'd and vanished, apparently having happened twice already. This meant that if people could disappear from within the village, it meant they were able to find their way in as well. It had Kinzoku's mind racing. It meant the village was quite vulnerable to sudden attacks. If the culprits had vanished it could mean they were familiar with space and time techniques which was one of many possibilities. He was unaware of the situation with Salzem having never read a report on it. 

The mention of Kyson was a small detail but good information, likely meaning the culprits were attempting to play the part as Kumo shinobi and failed. They were fortunate to have escaped when they did. No matter. There's no point on dwelling what could have been but instead focus on what needs to be done. 

Kinzoku offered a smile to the Aburame as he made a remark about the office. "Simply trying to make it more like home" he said as he gave the office a look over himself before gazing back down to the Deputy. "I'll get in contact with our shinobi who are familiar with the use of space and time. Any expense is necessary if it means protecting our village and ensuring other don't come and go as they please" Kinzoku said to reassure the Aburame Ryo would not be a concern. "Thank you for informing me on this. It's past time the village did something about it."

His eyes fell down to the next set of files Yen placed onto the desk. More news. Judging from the expression on his face however, these files did not seem to hold bad news. They were applicants for an exam. As Yensung spoke about the applicants, Kinzoku slide the file closer to himself before flipping it over to reveal the applicants on the first page. Yen was right in that there could be more. Though these were likely the first to send an application in. There was still time for more to do so. His eyes looked up for a brief moment as Yen gestured for him to look over to the next page. So he did so, flipping it over revealing that there would be teams. One belonging to Love, the other to Kisuke. Kinzoku, Yen, and Ita would also be taking part in this exam, each one being in separate teams but mostly to observe and evaluate those on their respective teams.

He flipped back to the first page to take another look at those who had already registered before looking back up at the Aburame. "What will this exam be comprised of?" Kinzoku asked, posing the single question. After all they had spoken about it briefly in their first meeting and now here he was showing the shinobi who would be participating. But he still did not know what they exam would be and what they would be testing them with. As he waited a reply his eyes fell back down to the file, reading the responses the shinobi had given to his questions.

A single, but the loaded question as he knew was inevitable. Still, yen smiled a bit as he took a moment of pride with the examination. It was thought up for a while and as such, it was necessary to fully experience at first hand.

"Shinobi are versatile. So here we will learn exactly where our genin and chunin lay. As you recall from our first talk we have seen the chin in exams both neither produce a winner on our part. For many reasons."

Yen stated as he took a seat across from kinzoku and looked him in the eyes quietly 

"The first is confidence. We will use this as a means to mark where we all can improve. Besides, the challenges that follow from this will prove most informative. The genin and chunin will be tasked as such on each team to protect and maintain a solid offense. It'll emphasize teamwork and unity through the ranks, and accurately allow us, higher-ups, to watch the full environment of our students. They will be leading, and we shall follow. Observing their leadership and strategy in tight situations..."

Yen paused momentarily as he glanced at the third paper. Behind the team's list. It would cover locations and special permissions as such to the page.

"These will be the terms naturally and your tags are located at the end. Naturally, we will find that these teams are going by my evaluations of both their responses and advice all segments can give. In time we will learn through this how the ninjas handle the rigors of the environments placed.  I would say keep the barrier and medical ops on the standby on the edges of each field."

Yen cracked a smile as he chuckled at kinzoku and grinned.

"Besides how often do we throw hands on the waterfalls?"

Kinzoku would look up at Yen from time to time as he spoke, taking the time to glance back down to see what the Genin and Chuunin and written in response to the Aburame's questions. Kinzoku knew all too well about Konoha having come up short the last two Chuunin exams. A reality that had only made Konoha's current situation more apparent. So if Yensung's words were true, than this test of his was sourly needed. Once Yensung got into the meat of the exam, Kinzoku turned his full and undivided attention to the Aburame to make sure he understood all he said. They were going to test their confidence first apparently. Along side that, they would be testing the Genin and Chuunin to see what kind of offensive and defensive skills the possessed. This would allow Kinzoku, Ita, and Yensung to observe them. See what they excelled at and what they needed to improve on. A large focus would also be teamwork. Something Kinzoku had enforced heavily in his teaching to his three students as well. On that front he fell reassured that the Genin and Chuunin would do quite well. Teamwork is a basic thing all shinobi needed to survive. The Nazar would be quite disappointed if he saw a lack of it during the exam.

Kinzoku favored the idea of making the other lead. It would allow him to properly observe as well as make it easier to do so. It was also something Kinzoku often done himself. On a number of missions he had given Allegro and Higuto the lead in order to observe their thought process and see what needed improving or not. Glad to see Kinzoku and Yensung were on the same page on that front. 

Upon seeing Yensung motion to the files, Kinzoku slowly moved his right hand over them as he flipped the papers over coming to the third one. His eyes quickly scanned over the paper as he listened to the Aburame explain what he was currently looking at. "Retrieving tags... interesting" Kinzoku thought to himself as the exam became more and more clear. It reminded him of when he put his students to the test and they had to retrieve a kunai. The need for teamwork was a clear as day for such a task. It was also a significant scenario in order to make sure they were all being pushed to their limits. Put them out in real world scenarios. Unfortunately Kinzoku could not see how each team would be comprised as there were stilling not enough applicants to do so. But he liked what he was seeing so far.

Yensung's final remark forced a grin of his own to form upon his lips as his eyes met that of the Deputy once more. The idea of sparring with the Aburame was always an enticing one as it would surely help to sharpen and improve the skills of both of them. "Lets not forget the purpose of this" Kinzoku replied before bringing both his arms onto their respective arm rests. "As fun as that would be, I'd like if we did not resort to facing one another simply because we're of higher rank. Including Ita. The purpose of this is to push the Genin and Chuunin so that they learn through adversity and become better. Stronger. Smarter. Let us face off only if we must." His smile remained at the end, knowing it would be something they'd both enjoy.

"Medics will be available when needed. I'll inform them of this test so that they'll be properly prepared when the time comes" Kinzoku informed the Deputy. Judging by what he had been given, medics would be a must. The barrier would also remain up as always. This task would be held out in the open area surrounding Konoha which also meant they were susceptible to outside threats. Remaining vigilant at all times was an absolute must, specially for Kinzoku, Yensung and Ita. It would be their responsibility to make sure no harm came to the others. "Any resources you need in preparation for this are at your disposal. Do not worry about expenses. The future of our shinobi is more important than our coffer. Let's be assured they have what is needed to grow properly." 

"Good good"

Yen replied with an happy smile and it was wonderful kinzoku was in place for the exam in question.

"Naturally these would be done in conjunction with the dole judgement of the shinobi in mind. However it is important to both build not only their confidence, but belief in the homage. As such this takes our jobs to another notch. Both keeping an eye on the applicants. They will be out of village guidance and care save for emergencies, and each of us will too do our part. However we must too press them. The resting will be close to mission standard and as such. The preset environments through the land will lay out both various combative advantages and the disadvantages that ensure as well. All which play part in the missions beyond home village. As such it is imperative we do subtle guiding unless we see members go wayward in gal. "

Yen leaned back in the chair as he glanced up at the kage in before him and placed his hands together.

"It is also means of testing grounds for both higuto, and love's growth into the respective ranks of chunin, and jounin. Love I have seen her work before and higuto i trust will do well. I trust his intuition in guiding another on their growth. Which is part of being a leader. As such each has a different challenge to complete. Should both susceed in exemplifying the efforts to which they are called to. Promotion in my eyes is very good reward. Others too have a slight chance. But rmphisis on effort. I believe they will all do their best."

Yen stated softly and he took a slow breath and continued.

"We both are aware that out there there are many unknown variables. It is why I selected these environmental challenges. The training makeshift village for its man made structures. Provide cover, but for that it's windy environment will prove both difficult for hearing and the structures are made up of a recently discovered chakra rebounding substance. Reducing sensory range and effectiveness. Trusting teamates to make essential plans of actions and assault as well as choice locations for defense."

Yen flipped a piece of paper detailing the layout for the city. It lay between two mountains several hundred miles from the wind country borders. Bringing the wind with it.

" there then lies the mountains lying near the valley where two ancient shinobi fought in ages long since pass. The team there will find it is a good more open eviornment but the rocky area is uneven. Even surface walking for so long may be tiring as will using foton losen the rocky surfaces. Making balance difficult.? You can see where I'm going here."

Yen stated as he slipped that before the kage and smiled. 

"It would be safe to say the last location are our lovely wooded areas. Tricky with light. But also ideal for stealthy approaches and work. With such many will be at home here, but of course their own spots are located many miles from the village. Each team for this examination will call one of these spots home for the duration. As such medics will be nearby. But likewise rest is not as adiquit in such as home. Resources, chakra reserves must all be applied. Now its a test to see how well each team suffices."

Kinzoku remained silent as he listened to the Aburame elaborate on what their role was going to be during this test. He already had a relatively good idea as to what his purpose would be on his team but it did some good in hearing that Yensung was also aware. That he wouldn't get too distracted at the possibility of going toe to toe with one another. He responded with a simple nod as Yensung reinforced the fact that this would be taking place out in the wilderness where everyone would need to be prepared fort he unexpected and that it would be their job to save them from such occurrences. Kinzoku was well aware of such a matter. It was always something he had been cautious about back when he was going on missions with his team as a Jounin. Now as Hokage, the responsibility was far greater. He no longer had just three students to look out for. He had an entire village. 

Yen need not worry about Kinzoku guiding his team. It came natural to him. Though that did not mean he'd over do it. He understood the purpose of this was to also push the Chuunin and see if they had the necessary characteristics to become a Jounin. It meant Kinzoku was going to have to sit back a bit more than usual and let the others play things out on their own. The focus shifted to Love and Higuto as it seemed Yensung was placing extra focus on them. He could not blame him for putting more emphasis on those two. Although Kinzoku was not fully aware of Love's capabilities, she had proven herself time and time again. In Higuto's case, Kinzoku was well aware of his capabilities. He knew Higuto was ready to take the next step and become a Chuunin. It was just a matter of playing his cards the right way at this point.

He listened with a little more interest as Yensung moved on to the matter of locations. Each team would have their own 'home base' to put it lightly where medics would be located and teams could recuperate if need be. The makeshift city was the most worrisome to the Nazar. Not because it would be the hardest to navigate and fight in, but because it was the furthest from Konoha. The further from the village, the greater the danger the shinobi may be in. Although it was still withing the borders of the Fire Country, there was no telling what could happen that close to the Wind Countries borders. Kinzoku's old home. He began having thoughts about his old home before he snapped back to reality to Yensung explaining the mountain home base near the Valley of the End. That one could be an interesting spot to make a home base, especially for a doton user. Lastly, there was the natural defense of Konoha. Its forestry. That would likely be the most sought out home base for the shinobi as it was likely the environment they were most comfortable with. All relatively good choice. All with their pros and cons. It would be most interesting to see how they adapted.

Now with the full idea of this exam properly laid out, Kinzoku moved his arm down to the file before flipping it closed. No longer needing it, he brought his hands together before addressing the Aburame. "Let's get thing going as soon as possible shall we" he spoke, a certain sense of priority in his tone. "Place more security in the city. It's the furthest from home with the smallest amounts of natural defense. Overall, I'm liking the choices. The Valley can be... interesting to say the least" he added with a smile. "I'll help with preparations if need be. For now my priority is finding a way to prevent what happened with your two friends earlier while you deal with the exam preparations." If the Aburame was any good at reading people he'd see that Kinzoku was both pleased and approving of what Yensung had come up with. Kinzoku waited to see if there was anymore to add that had not already been said by the Deputy.

"Indeed the papers shall be done and set up within the hour and construction after travel should be set up by the  third day. As of now let us see how the event goes now. I'll be leading the sites outside the village respectfully and unless anything urgent occurs ill be back in the office."

Yen stated as he had the planning in mind. All that was now to get the blueprints on paper and set up the concrete rules on his part. An easy job to do for the aburame.

"Now I will begin the work on the event. I'll see you soon hokage"

Yen stated with a smile and a bow. Reaching across with his right hand so the nazar can shake it respectfully if he desired. 

Upon the hand shake or if not the aburame head would proceed to exit the office and upon reaching the secretary on the main floor he would request several business orders. 1 the beginning of the defense and a meeting with the space time and barrier ops group. The second was shinobi forces and the builders union for the event.

Little later yen strolled out the kage building and with several papers he tossed them in his personal pocket dimension and proceeded home to draft the area designs, and the orders for standby shinobi.

After Yensung spoke and confirmed his order of business, Kinzoku stood to meet the Deputy and shook his hands respectfully. He waited for Yensung to leave the office and close the door before sitting back down in his chair. Intertwining his fingers with one another, Kinzoku would lean back into his chair as he went through the conversation he just had with Yensung one more time in his mind. He put more focus into the part of the conversation with the missing nin disappearing instead of the examination. He'd leave that part to Yensung. 

After a few silent moments of contemplation, Kinzoku finally got up from his chair and made his way over to one of the filling cabinets to his side. Sliding the top drawer open, he began flipping through some files, pulling out one here and there every time he came across one of interest. After he had gathered a number of files he would stack them in his left hand. Closing the drawer, Kinzoku went out and gave them to the secretary right outside his office requesting meeting be set up with those people before returning to the solitude of his office.
