A Simple Delivery [Kaworu and Katsurugi]
Thu Oct 24, 2019 6:25 pm
A Simple Delivery
It wasn't long before the duo was at it again, the job this time offered a route that didn't solely require brute force. This job of course was scouted a few times, Katsuragi made sure the alternative route that was to be taken was clear of any debris. Most carriages don't really ride so well at high speeds, the basic models. The top end models have more durable wheel made for such speed, but around their environment you'd rarely see much of those. Katsuragi is seen adjusting his navy blue jumpsuit while looking at a photograph which almost looked identical to the carriage. The carriage possessing some faults here in there, dents and such, but for a carriage that was boosted last night, it wasn't too bad in shape. The refits seemed just enough to avoid suspicion, hopefully.
The job today involved the two boys taking on a jo that required them to pick up a healthy undisclosed sum of silver ingots, and then transfers them over to another location about forty miles from here. The 'company men" were ready to work. He finally adjust his cap, and hops on the drivers seat, looking towards the closed warehouse's wide double doors. The horses were constantly moving around, eager to move. "You remember wat we doin, right?! You ready to do this or what K? Hope you remembered the route, cuz you driving my ninja", he yelled. He didn't know where he was in the warehouse, but he knew he was around somewhere.

Re: A Simple Delivery [Kaworu and Katsurugi]

The bloody suit was itching and his pants almost feel over as he emptied his waters against a tree. "Gimme a minute" he yelled back towards the carriage, still nervous about the job. "Don't let him see you like this, you gotta go get it." As he finished his business, he got his pants back how they were supposed to be, fixing the blue navy outfit so it didn't look like it was stolen… or at least it wasn't so obvious. As he made his way back to the carriage, he saw that he did indeed have the honors of driving. It was likely due to the fact he was the least likely to whip a horse's bum raw, he guessed. He wasn't cut for this kind of job, though, he was much more suited for travelling the roads with his backpack where he could slink back into the tree line and wait out the danger. But now he travelled with the danger.
He sat up next to Katsuragi, and took the reigns. "Let's hope this is a quick in and out, I feel exposed, dressing like this. This shade of blue makes my eyes look grey." Kaworu tried to remember how to get the horses to take off easy, and gave a yank to the reigns; off they went, towards the warehouse. The road was easy, they didn't come across anyone, and the horses took the carriage winding down the mountain before they had to take it back up. The animals seemed to make the terrain easy and the refitted carriage was handling the road surprisingly well, in spite of all the jerking and tumbling it did ever so often when it had to go over a rock.
In order to carry all the silver, a four horse carriage was needed; he hoped nobody would come looking for them here. "Head's up", he called to Katsuragi. "That should be our warehouse behind the tree line." Indeed, as they made their way further along the road between two woods, a warehouse slowly crept into view, with men dressed in the same blue jumpsuits walking about, talking and moving stuff. Kaworu tried to relax as much as he could, and as he drew the carriage closer, a worker approached them, raising his hand for them to stop.
"What are you doing here, boys?", he asked. Kaworu felt for his pockets. "W-we have orders to transfer some metal, I…" He felt for his pockets but found nothing; he turned his head towards Katsuragi hoping he would save the day, as it were.

Along the road towards the warehouse, Katsuragi still keeping an eye out for any variables, nods to Kaworu once they were nearing the warehouse He adjusts his posture upright when the up pulled up entrance. The carriage coming to a complete halt as it stopped by one of the personal, a fellow co worker to the supposedly "company men", he looks towards his partner with a blank face. This sure wasn't the time to slip up, he thought. He could see the worry in his face. It was a good thing the guard couldn't see Kaworu's face at his current angle. Katsuragi chimes in, shifting his gaze towards the guard. "Wat gud, man? I know we pulled up a bit early, but we gotta move some product to another location, the company plans on buyin out more land, so I heard", he says while standing up and getting ready to jump down to the ground. He remembers placing a few weapons in the back compartment of the carriage. If worse comes to worse, he'd have to deal with him. This was why he'd preferred, Kaworu to do the talking, not many people trust those who come from urban backgrounds. Katsuragi's speech wasn't exactly professional in a sense. This could raise a few flags down the road, however, it seems that in all walks of life, everyone gets one bail out.
"I hear that, and don't worry about the time. The faster you get out of here, the faster I can get back to my much needed nap. You should know which container it is. Ill mark it off when you pull of back to check it out.", the guard replied. Nothin was worth stressing over, especially if the job offered such little wage. Placing himself back in his seat, Katsuragi points forward while the guard lifts the gates. Shoving his elbow against, Kaworu's arm, he reassures him. "You gud, K? You looked like you was bout to pass the fuuuuck out",he said while giggling to himself. He of course couldn't say that his heart wasn't racing too, the situation of it all was risky.
*Katsuragi notes all eight of the passing guards*
It was a good thing he didn't deal witht he gate guard, otherwise both of them would have been in cuffs by now, that was if today was a good day. , K?", he said. He keeps his eyes on the warehouse.

Katsuragi handled the conversation masterfully, and the guard's willingness to not do his job properly just to get some rest played perfectly into the duo's much needed break of luck. Kaworu pulled at the reigns and jerked them lightly, and pulled the carriage into the warehouse where they'd be able to move the stuff. Once inside, and out of earshot of the guards, Kaworu took a moment and let out a shaking breath. "I'm sorry, Katsuragi, I'm not cut for this kind of thing… I think I'm going to vomit…"
He dove into the back of the wagon where his backpack was. Surely he'd have some medicinal aid there… well, he had sake. It would do; no time for ritualistic sipping though. He dunked a full mouthful of the fire water into his mouth, his gums and throat burning with the delicious liquid. He got back up, hunching inside the carriage, and put the bottle next to his partner as he climbed back on the front seat. "Here, if you need it as well. Only one drag, though, it's just take the edge off, let's not risk too much."
He hopped off the seat and made towards a crate; inside, a few bricks of silver awaited, glistening in the little house the warehouse windows allowed to seep in. "Jackpot", he whispered. "Come on, let's do this before they get suspicious."

"I'm sorry, Katsuragi, I'm not cut for this kind of thing… I think I'm going to vomit…"
*Katsuragi will remember this*
After taking a few sips of the stash, Kaworu apparently had, his courage increasing slightly by the minute, Katsuragi leaped out of the passenger seat of the carriage and made his way down to the ground. He takes a look at the cargo that was held here, waiting for transport. He zips down the chest section of his jump suit, revealing his black shirt and navy blue hate that he held inside. He places the navy cap on his head nice and snug. "Yoo, K....psh!", he said while trying to get his attention. While walking towards the door, he notices that the guard is talking to another carriage that was near the gate. The carriage was identical to their own, including the uniforms.
"Awww shit" he muttered, while watching the guard taking glances over towards him. Katsuragi at the same time, closes the warehouse doors nonchalantly. His heart sank a little, taking it all it. It appeared that the guard has now just realized that the carriage he just let in earlier wasn't supposed to be here. At least, that's what he could tell from the shocked face of the guard.
"Hide motherfucka…", he said through his gritting teeth. His frustration getting the best of him, he uses his transformation jutsu to turn into a rat. HIs hands forming the hand sign and with a poof, his form was that of a small brown rat. He scurries along the ill lit section of the warehouse. Katsuragi didn't have the skill to take on more than 2 guards. Eight was beyond what he could handle. With Kaworu's recent episode, I doubt he could come through.

After putting the cover back on the crate with the silver ingots he had admired, he lifts it and carries it to the back of the carriage at great cost due to the weight of it. "Should just pull out the threads, they're stronger out of the body than in the body." Katsuragi caught his attention though; just outside, another very similar carriage spoke to the guard, and just as Katsuragi closed the warehouse doors he caught a glimpse of the guard looking in their direction with a horrified look on his face.
Katsuragi himself used a transformation jutsu and disguised himself as a rat. If Katsuragi wasn't willing to fight, it was very, very serious. Outside, he heard the steps of guards closing in on the perimeter, almost all converging on the front door, while one or more circled the warehouse, likely having a backdoor. "We're surrounded," he realized.
Cold shivers ran along the internal organs of Kaworu, the only place with a nervous system. His heart pumped maddeningly; given the option, he always tried to resolve issues amicably, but when you try to heist silver, there's no talking your way out of it. If Katsuragi wasn't willing to fight this many people, it could mean only one thing: Kaworu would have to use his trump card. As the door of the warehouse opened, Kaworu called out to his partner. "Katsuragi! Get out of the warehouse! Whatever you do, don't breathe anything on the inside!"
The doors at the front and at the back swung open, and two guards from the back rushed in and grabbed Kaworu, locking his arms. The six others came in through the now open wide doors of the warehouse, with two additional more from the carriage. The main guard drew a knife from his belt, looked at it, and asked Kaworu a singular question with a grin plying in his lips. "Do you know who we are?"
Kaworu looked the man dead in the eyes, a calm he didn't know he had permeated his voice when he coldly replied. "You are dead men." His body erupted in holes as tendrils flew out and grabbed at every guard present, restricting their movement; even if they tried to fight back or cut the tendrils, their puny blades could do little against Kaworu's innards. The worst was yet to come for the shrieking guards who could not comprehend the black mass of tendrils holding them in place and even drawing them closer to Kaworu.
Within Kaworu's body, his lungs altered the oxygen and carbon dioxide at a molecular level, and as it changed, Kaworu lifted his face to the ceiling and opened his mouth wider than any human had the right to expand, letting out a violent gurgling cloud of purple smog whose properties once shifted on contact with the exterior of Kaworu's body, cascading down as though it were a cloudy fluid and not smog, and soon it travelled and expanded to emcompanse the group. Sight within the cloud reduced to near zero, but sound carried on fine, and soon the sound of coughing and wheezing filled the warehouse, and soon after, heavy thuds of masses hitting the floor. Once Kaworu felt no more thrashing or resistance, he pulled back his threads and made towards the light of the main warehouse door, and once outside he breathed the fresh air. The poison didn't affect him, but even to him it smelled dreadfully deadly. He looked around.
"Katsuragi? Katsuragi! No no no…" he panicked for a second. Katsuragi and Kaworu knew each other for a little time, but that little time had been the best he had in a long while. Katsuragi was companionship and an understanding of the world that Kaworu couldn't afford to lose. He was acceptance and freedom from the shackles of prejudice. "Katsuragi!"

Kaworu did not have to repeat himself, Katsuragi, while in his rodent form escaped through midst of chaos. HIs little form easily making it out along the shadowy walls undetected. He slips through the a small hole in the wall to ensure his escape at maximum speed. HIs breath held too, to avoid the attack. He heavily doubted that his partner could take on all those men, but, he had no choice but to go on his word as hard as it was. The last time he placed his trust into something, he ended up behind bars. That was never going to happen again, a promise he made to himself a while back. Making it out behind the back, he moves towards the front, but not before taking in a huge breath of oxygen. Another command Kaworu issued, his arsenal of tricks proved to be quite useful.
Coming up along the front of the wear house, he releases the technique, reverting back into his human form. "I see you, K! Good looks, I didn't know you can drop bodies like that", he said, nodding in approval. He indeed was smiling, but not cause of the kills confirmed, no, he was still laughing inside about how worried he got. Like he was his moms or something, no matter. After whatever happened in the warehouse cleared out, Katsuragi prepared the carriage and made off with the silver in tow. Not a bad haul, he thought. He thinks back to what Kaworuo said about not being able to handle this life, that was something he would need to chat with him about. He needed to know if the he was down with his won plans in the future, otherwise, Katsuragi may need to hit the road and hustle on his own.

Kaworu sighed a sigh of relief; he believed in Katsuragi to make it out, but on the off chance he hadn't managed to do so, there'd be no saving him; even Kaworu's healing technique could unliquify lungs and uncurdle blood. "I'm glad you're ok, Katsuragi. Let's wait for the poison to disperse and we'll get the hell out of here."
As they hauled the silver, Kaworu felt much more confident on the account of the murders, and a smile crept along his face. Then, his smile faded. "So, this is how it starts... First I kill for my next meal... Then I hunt ninjas for their hearts..."He glanced sideways at Katsuragi. He had never performed an elemental technique next to him. He looked forward and pursed his lips. "Nope. Not even going to consider it. He could have all of them in one heart for all I care. He's important to me."
