Destroyer of the Woods, Enemy to the Village (IO)

Mission: Stop the Beast

The village was performing the normal tasks that didn't seem out of the ordinary. Farmers from the surrounding rural villages were coming into the market to sell their products. Merchants from all over the world were selling their various items that were meant to catch the eye of any passerby. Shinobi of Hoshi were doing their mission all over the village, as was the custom. Everything seemed fine until a panic arouses from the woods that were near the village.  Villagers from that area were frantically explained to them that there was a monster hiding in the wood. Some even came back with injuries, which would immediately  The Shinobi on guard duty seemed confused by this panic and rose their guard.

Sometime later, after hearing all the information about the mysterious monster that was attacking villagers got around, the shinobi board would set up a mission to investigate and eliminate. After going through their registrar, they would select Tsubaki Senju, a chunin and the leader of team summer and her student, Sakuragi Hyuuga. They would both be given a notice of the mission and for them to meet each other at the latest siting. 

Tsubaki Senju had just finished watering her greenhouse garden when the message had come by her house about the mission. She opened it, reading it in shock. "A monster, huh? I bet it's Jaws of Grim just causing more trouble for our village." Tsubaki would roll her eyes. However, her attention was locked when she saw her partner for the mission was none other than her student, Sakuragi Hyuuga. She hadn't done much solo with him for a long time. It would be interesting to see how her student was doing after all this time. She would head inside and get dressed in her combat gear. 

After finishing getting ready, Tsubaki would wait by the village exit for her student to meet up with her.

A bright morning in Hoshigakure. The young hyuuga was seen, hurriedly eating his breakfast, pasta, pork meat and yorghourt milk. The boy's face was covered in sweats. Hot hot hot, yet he kept on eating. He had an appointment today to meet his team leader, lady tsubaki. The duo were to take on a mission. Had the white haired hyuuga slept early last night , he wouldn't have need to be in a rush this morning. The young lad doesn't wanna appear late to the meeting point. Even though he had a rough idea about the mission, he was unsure about what to expect. No one really know what or who the enemy is, all they know is that a monster is attacking the villagers.



The spiky white haired was dressed in his usual attire, black long sleeve T shirt with open buttons, a white short sleeve shirt underneath, black pants and black shinobi sandals. He had his village headband and his  hand bandages were not an exception.




Once he was done eating, he would put things in order and head out to meet his teacher. It has been a long time since the student met with his teacher, even longer since he took on any mission. He had spend the past few eeks just having a good time with himself and studying.  




In no time, the hyuuga was at the village exit where he was to meet the senju that would be leading the mission. Tsu was there before him. The momment his white eyes sighted her, he would yell from distance , “ Lady Tsuuubbbakkkiiii!!!,” and would start running towards her.  He would stop running once he got to a reasonable talking range. “ I'm Sorry I'm late” he would say in an apologetic tone. Of course, the hyuuga knew her to be a nice person, so that shouldn't be an issue. He was curious about what they are gonna face in this mission.






 Literally, nothing is changed about her teacher , still the same old Tsu he knew, same physique , same height and shape. “Its been a while, Tsubaki- san, how have you been" he would greet in a soft tone. Sakuragi was not too good with formalities and he hasn't come here to do formalities either. “ I'm not sure what to expect in this mission, Lady Tsubaki. What's the plan?.”






The boy knew the senju was more experienced, so she would have some tactics and ideas that would be of help in this mission. In this mission, the senju is to give orders and the hyuuga is to follow. The spiky white haired would patiently await the lady's response. Hopefully, this mission would be completed sooner.

Without much time later, Sakuragi Hyuuga would come barreling towards her, chanting her name. She would chuckle as he would apologize for being late. "No need to apologize. Better late than never, I suppose." Still catching his breath, Sakuragi would ask how she's been. "Oh, you know. A little missions here and there and training." Sakuragi hadn't changed much from the last time they were together, which was during a training exercise that she had put together for all of her students in team summer. 

Now that pleasantries were out of the way, it was time for the mission. Sakuragi would ask what the plan was. "Well, as you hopefully know from the mission debriefing that there is a disturbance in the forest surrounding Hoshigakure. Our job is to eliminate this potential threat to that farmers will stop getting attacked. So first, we'll need to identify what the danger is." Tsubaki would explain to her pupil. She would take out her rough map of the surrounding area and circle an area just west of their current position. "The last sighting of this "beast" was right around here, so we'll start over there in the search. You will use your Byuakugan to find it." She hesitated after explaining the plan to Sakuragi, giving him a serious face. "However, there are rumors that this threat is a missing ninja and a strong one at that. If that's the case then we will be fighting seriously. If things get touchy and we are looking bad, then I will need to escape and report to the village. I will hold them off the best I can for you to get away." She wasn't going to let another genin die in her charge like Takeshi.

Getting the plan out of the way, Tsubaki would head towards the area she had previously pointed out to Sakuragi. She would lead them to the center of the area, so Sakuragi's Byuakugan would get the most coverage in the field. "Here should work," Tsubaki told her student. That would be a signal for Sakuragi to use his eyes and find the disturbance.

Once Sakuragi would do so, he would find that it was luckily not a Missing ninja, but a very large boar. The beast was about 7 feet tall, way taller than either of them, and about 12 feet long. It bore 2 5 feet long tusks that curved into each other, both of them strong enough to tear into the side of a large cart or mow down a small army. This behemoth was sniffing the ground about 20 meters east of their current location. The beast was tame at the moment.
