Today Kato was going to be given his mission in a different manner. Whilst returning his last completed mission scroll to mission headquarters Kato had heard that the shinobi of the Mist village could receive their missions through carrier pigeon. This intrigued him, up to now he'd simply strolled down to the mission board looked at what was on offer and picked accordingly. This way of being assigned missions was more novel but Kato thought it would be sensible to switch to this method. He needed to get used to doing all kinds of different work and it was important for shinobi to be able to adapt to different mission requirements quickly, Kato knew that and thought this method of receiving missions would help with that aspect of his shinobi development.

Kato was already up and preparing himself for the day when the carrier pigeon arrived. He was just in the middle of devouring his breakfast when Kato heard the tap of beak on window. He slid the window open and thanked the carrier pigeon as it placed the mission scroll in Kato's palm, he offered a small palmful of seeds to the feathered messenger, smiling as the pigeon quickly ate the seeds and flew off for its next delivery. "This is a pleasant way of receiving missions, I'm glad I signed up for the service" Kato thought to himself as he absorbed the details of the mission scroll.

Today's mission was only an E-Rank mission but it sounded interesting. A photographer had requested assistance with a photoshoot of a local grove of trees, Kato was familiar with the trees that was going to be photographed. They were beautiful cherry blossom trees, Kato had often found himself strolling through that grove whenever he was in that area of the village. He was in a good mood as he finished preparing himself for the day and left for the grove of trees with all his shinobi equipment in tow. Kato felt a bit silly taking this much weaponry to a photoshoot mission but he liked to be prepared for anything, at least he will appear serious and professional. After a relatively short walk Kato found himself at the grove of trees and met with the photographer "Hello, nice to meet you. I'm Kato Hyuuga and I will be your assistant for this photoshoot". The photographer was a short woman who looked somewhere in her late twenties to Kato. She wore casual clothing adorned with the patterns of nature, flower petals, rolling waves, gorgeous trees. Kato appreciated the creativity of her clothing and wondered if she visited the same tailor who made his casual shirts, they shared similar themes and looked of similar quality.

Kato and the quirky photographer worked together well, Kato had an eye for beauty so didn't need that much instruction from the photographer. Over the next four hours the pair worked together to capture many aspects of the grove, Kato was even asked to model for several of the photographs. He felt slightly embarrassed when asked but agreed regardless, looks like it was a good reason he brought all his weaponry, it definitely made for more interesting pictures. Some of the pictures that Kato modelled for involved him sat against the one of the sakura trees, katana resting on his lap, others simply involved Kato strategically placing his weaponry around the grove, helping highlight certain aspects of the grove's beauty. Once the photoshoot was complete the photographer thanked Kato and signed the mission scroll, confirming that he had completed the job to a good standard. Kato thanked the photographer and walked back to mission headquarters to return his scroll and collect the ryo he'd earned from the day's work.
