Your task it to attempt to study any aspect of the city you're in, only to come to the realization that you cannot know a city through books and scrolls alone. Explore the city and its culture for yourself. Knowledge gained through this is only for CD purposes and does not necessarily have to reflect the city's actual state of affairs.
After accepting his mission, the genin Kouma decided to go and tour the vastness of the large city in which he lived in, as he had really only visited the water gardens before for training, and to take a tour of the various recreational services they offered, but he had never really been completely around the village. The village was in fact a large city, and he wondered why they still called them villages, but he was not the one that was going to try and change that, so as he walked away from the building that the mission board was in, he headed towards a random street. The best way to explore places was randomly, and by asking the locals that lived in the area. He was unsure about what the place around the administration building was, and it was mostly a business sector, but there was bound to be some sort of hole in the wall shop or some sort of restaurant that he could find if he asked around and searched diligently. Yes, that was correct, Kouma was in fact searching for tourist spots, and more specifically, spots for eating food, as that was one of his greatest passions, and he decided that he was going to get to know the city through the different cuisine that it offered. the first area was in the business district, and so he wandered around and watched all of the people bustle about, seemingly busy and attempting to get around rapidly. some of them were ninjas that were hopping from roof top to roof top to get to places faster, but most of the people were the average day to day people that were more skilled in finance or architecture and administration, so Kouma had to wait a little bit before he found someone that did not look all that busy, before walking up and asking him what sort of food was available in this area. The man was fairly nice, and gave Kouma a run down of the areas around here. Out of necessity, it seemed that the only places that sold food that survived were places that sold convenience food. This was not to mean the normal convenience store, but places that sold packed lunches like bento boxes, or the occasional submarine sandwich show, or perhaps some hand held food or sweets like dango. The environment around here was always bustling and busy, so there was no room for something that took a while to sit down and enjoy. Kouma thanked the man before visiting a couple of these stores, and picking up a pack of dango for his mother when he returned home, having considered this mission a success, as he learned something new about the city or village he was in. When he got home, he recounted the journey with his mother before they both sat down together and enjoyed the dango together, and he was surprised at how well they got the snack food to keep in a bag for the trip all the way back to his home.
