Dangerous Shopping Spree

Sukotto read through his mission dossier with glee. For the first time, possibly ever, he was going on a real mission. It was only protection duty and could result in a boring day watching a couple shopping, but for once all of his training could be utilized. He could watch for threats, obtain experience in assessing threats, and if necessary put those assessments into action. It didn't hurt that he could hear heartbeats which would help with any danger assessments. Assuming nobody very skilled in controlling their body tried to attack the couple, it was unlikely an attack would be made without him sensing it beforehand.

He arrived early to the mission location wearing his customary golden brown clothing that covered him entirely, helping him blend in with the sand around him while simultaneously keeping the sun off his pale skin. He wore a similarly colored large hat that also worked to shield him from the sun. He scanned the shopping area as he waited for the other shinobi that would be joining him on this mission and his clients. He had run multiple simulations in his head when he first received the mission. While he tended to act on impulse and did ultimatley decide his first thought was the best plan, he really put a lot of thought into this mission. He couldn't let himself fail his first time out doing real work. Not to mention he held the lives of two people in his hands. A responsibility he was far from used to, but one he took seriously.

"Ugh is this really the day im suppose to do this mission", Yorii thought to himself. He had been sleeping some of the best sleep he had gotten in a while, so when it came time to arise the normally serious shinobi was having a hard time finding the energy to get out of bed. "Okay Okay", Yorii though as he finally got up. He hadnt been on a mission in a couple days so going on one today would get his muscle a good workout. He had quikcly started to do the daily essentials such as brushing his teeth and taking a shower before he made himself a small bite to eat and then leaving out the door. "Shit i forgot what mission i was going on today", He thought to himself as he rushed back into the house to make sure he was going to go to the right meeting spot. "Okay cool, i guess ill be having a partner today", He thought to himslef as he once again left out of his house and on ward to the mission spot.

Today would be a simple body guard mission for some man and his wife while they go shopping today, something that seemed easy enough for Yorii to knock out without having to work to hard. So as he made his way to the spot where he would be meeting his partner for the day he couldnt help but wander what could this man be doing to have people want to send him and his family death threats but then again Yori knew it dosent take much for people to hate and want to kill you in the shinobi world. Pushing back his curiosity he realzied that he was about to arrived at the spot where he was suppose to be meeting his team mate , from first glance Yori couldnt tell if this guy was just a person out shopping or was he a shinobi but after looking long enough he decided it would be best to just approach him and ask. 

As Yori approached the guy wearing a all golden outfit he couldnt help but wander if the outfit was keeping him cool or was it some type of training method but either way he really didnt care, he just wanted to get this mission started. "Hey are you the guy assigned to be teaming up with me today", He sad in a kind tone , not wanting to come off as aggressive guy. Hopefully he was because Yorii didnt have the time to be question everyone that he came across.

Sukotto continued to assess the crowd for his partner or the clients when he felt a heartbeat heading directly toward him. He turned slightly his eyes falling upon a young man likely a couple years his junior just as he began to speak. "Hey are you the guy assigned to be teaming up with me today?" Sukotto gave a nod, as he inwardly struggled to keep from grinning at the man. "Mission time! I got a partner. I got a cool mission, this is going to be sweet." To his fellow shinobi he responded, "It would appear so. Sukotto, Suna genin. I don't believe we have met." "It would appear so? Who says that?" He raised his head ever so slightly, and gestured to the headband on his forehead which had been hidden by the large brim of his hat.

Seeing as the clients hadn't arrived yet, he figured now would be a good time to talk about strategy. "So I haven't had bodyguard duty before, but I was thinking about tossing a bushin out front as a general deterrent then hanging back transformed to look like a servant. Something non threatening an attacker might target first while still being able to stay close to the clients." He paused for a moment before continuing, "But as I said, I haven't done this before so if you have experience with it I will follow your lead."

"Pleasure to meet you Sukotto, my name is Yorii and honestly we can handle this how ever you want to but I doubt there are going to be many people trying to attck him so we dont have to anything fancy or use jutsu honestly but if someone was to do that then there more than likely just regular citizens who are unhappy , so we should be able to take them out with working up much of a sweat", Yori said in responce to the boy question. He had done a mission like this before with a couple other Genin and one point and that mission went smooth , so he had no doubt in his mind that this mission was going to be the same way. Just in case though he would make a mental note to activate his Sharingan once they are walking around with the client, cause the last thing He needed was someone getting a lucky attack off on his client without him being able to stop it, he wasent worried though because betweent the two of them this should be a peice of cake.

"Since were done with our introductions lets get over to the client so we can get this mission knocked out as soon as possible and get back to our own training or whatever we were doing before this mission started, he should be just up the street some", Yori said as he started walking in the direction that he mentioned. After a few minutes of walking he finally found the man and his wife. "Afternoon sir , me and my partner here were the ones assigned to guarding you today, hopefully we can make this day smooth and without any trouble for you and your wife", Yori said as he shook the man's hand. He was hoping that this would be over before it got dark so that he wouldnt have to be using the training grounds in the dark.

Yori would listen to the man talk about his business a tiny bit and explain why they were out in the shopping area today, and honestly Yori coudnt blame the man, when the wife wants something she gets it and thats just the way life goes. So when Yori heard the story he could completely understand why this man would take the risk of being out in public but at least Yori and Kyu was there so nothing would happen to him or his wife because if they couldnt stop a couple a regulars ass civilians than they should just hang up their job as shinobi. Once introduction were over yori and Kyu would follow them around and to a garden , where Yori watch Kyu summon a water clone and then use the transformation jutsu and without hesitation he would do the same, but his clone would be a shadow clone. He had no problem letting Kyu take the lead on the mission because to him this was just a quick way to earn some ryo so that he could restock his fridge later on today. He did how ever wouldnt mind if someone did attack atleast that way he would get a semi workout in.

Sukotto noticed his partner had decided to use a tactic similar to his own. Whether it was because he had decided he liked Sukotto's idea, or if he was just humoring him he didn't know, but either way he had created a clone of some sort and had also disguised himself.

The party continued on from the haberdashery, the clients informing them that they were headed to a jewelers next. As they traveled, the clones stayed out front watching for any signs of danger, the shinobi staying close behind the clients looking like little more than servants. As the group made their way through a narrow path between a number of shops, the hair on the back of his neck began to stand on end. He wasn't sure if he had noticed something unconsciously or if the narrow confines just felt like a good place for an ambush, but something felt very off. A moment later he realized what was bothering him, he could feel four heartbeats coming from either side of them, but the distance was wrong. The shops were not but a few feet away, but these heartbeats were coming toward them from further out, as if they were coming from behind the shops. As they closed in, it eventually clicked. He quickly shouted out to the clients, "Get down!" He turned his head slightly directing his voice toward his partner, "Four are coming from above."

Sukotto's water clone immediately moved toward the clients, taking up a defensive position. He didn't know exactly what to expect, but keeping them safe was the job. With the clone ready to deflect any attacks directed toward them, Sukotto turned his attention toward the two heartbeats coming from his left. He hoped that his partner would handle those coming from the right, but if worse came to worse, his clone would defend the clients from those attacking. With this in mind he decided to take the attackers down as quickly as possible. As a shinobi of Sunagakure, he assumed Yori was likely capable of handling whatever attacked without any problem, but seeing as they had just met he didn't want to take any chances with people's lives.

Two men appeared above the shops on the left. They catapulted themselves off of the buildings as they reached the edge, launching themselves down toward the clients. Sukotto was already moving when the two crested the building, his hands flashing, Dragon-Tiger-Hare. As he finished the last handseal for suiton wild water wave chakra poured into his mouth and was then released in a torrent of water toward the furthest of the two assailants. With nowhere to go, the water slammed into the attacker and smashed him against the wall of the nearby building. His body fell bonelessly to the ground and he did not stir. 

The moment he had completed the jutsu, Sukotto's attention shifted to the closer of the two attackers. He launched himself into the air, his transformation jutsu falling away as he intercepted the man in mid air. A blade flashed in the man's right hand, Sukotto's left snatching his wrist and with a quick jerking twist breaking it. Sukotto's right arm shot out, the short claws on the tips of his fingers ripping through his opponents throat in a slashing motion, severing his jugular vein. The time between the snapping of his wrist and the cutting of his throat so short the man hadn't had a chance to scream out in pain. Blood splashed across Sukotto's face, his purple eyes briefly turning yellow as the thirst hit him, but he knew now was not the time and he forced the feeling down. 

As he hit the ground with his now bleeding out opponent, he tossed the soon to be corpse face down so his clients wouldn't have to watch him bleed out. He then turned to survey the scene in case his partner required any assistance. Assuming he didn't, Sukotto would then pull out a rag he carried around exactly for such occasions and wipe the blood from his face.
