Protecting THE MAN

Missions:

Youta received his mission debrief for the day. There were two missions for the day.  He was to meet up with 3 other Genin and protect this Elder and businessman of Hoshigakure as the first mission.  He would look for details. The first mission has two parts one is this businessman has received a lot of threatening letters as of late threatening not only him but the Bath house that owns. The second is they are complaining about a stalker they think is stalking either the businessman’s wife or daughter. We are to determine if they are part of the threats or just someone with an unwanted crush. So they were to babysit these hoity toity people while they were going on a shopping spree. Youta would think to himself “This ought to be a load of fun. Babysitting some fancy rich people and making sure they are ok. This is not how I wanted to spend my time but hey duty is duty.”

The second mission was to find a group that is vandalizing the local cemetery and seem to be focusing on some shinobi.  Youta would say “I swear if Zeref’s  grave is touched! The group will not make it to the morning.”  He would start to get this aura of darkness around him as the Yuumei would start to leak from his body as he started to lose his temper.  He would collect himself and put an armory seal on his new armor and weapons he received during whatever nightmare that was in that spring realm and would put on his headband. He would look at the bottom to see who he was supposed to meet at the gate of the man’s house.  He saw a name he recognized in his fellow teammate Ciel. he would also be working with two recent graduates named Crom and Ryumi. He would say “I guess it's time to put them to the test.”

He would look where and when they were supposed to meet for this mission. It was a fountain down the street from where this family lives. He would head towards the part of the village where all the upper class people live and would wait next to the fountain for the other genin to arrive.  He showed up a bit early and would sit on the bench.

Crom awoke in his room staring at his ceiling he did not move from his bed and laid there for longer then usual. The reason behind this was because today he had been assigned to work with some other Genin and he really needed to collect himself to have to interact with other people, it was the bane of his existence but it was something he needed to do to survive. “Someday I’ll be able to just sit in my room, have everything delivered to me and do what I want without any interaction with anyone.” Crom muttered to himself as he got himself up out of bed and went through his morning routine, washing up, getting dressed, donning his armor and weapons and double checking the meeting place.
 
Looking through his notebook he found the information about today’s meeting though it was the bare essentials, they would be meeting in front of the water fountain in the upper class area of the village. It wasn’t that difficult to find and with his constant venturing of the village between missions and the time with the Queensman Crom was quite knowledgeable about most places. Making sure his gear was good and he was all set once more before leaving his apartment Crom begun his trek to the meeting place going back over the information he had written down. He should be completing some missions with a group of 3 other Genin named, Youta, Ciel and Ryumi. Youta and Ciel seemed to be individuals that had been Genin for some time while Ryumi was a new graduate like himself.

Crom planned to put name to faces when possible but that would have to wait till he got to the meeting place and actually saw these people. Though that wouldn’t take him long as he would show up to the fountain being the second one to arrive, the first to arrive was a person with white hair and seemingly red eyes. While he had seen some people with white hair like his own it was still rare to encounter, Crom approached this person, “Hello, Are you Youta, Ryumi or Ciel?” The only reason why Crom even approached this guy was because he was the only one that had that look of waiting for someone to show up while everyone else were just going about there day. “I am Crom, I’m suppose to help with the completion of some requests.” He finalized his introduction pretty certain he was correct with his guess, regardless he would wait next to the fountain for both a response and the rest of the group to show up.

“One..Two…Three…Nine hundred and ninety nine.. One … Two…Three…One thousand”, Ciel would say as he would fall to the ground from exhaustion. He had been doing push ups most of the morning and wouldn’t give up till he had reached his goal of One thousands push up. He had been going light on the training the last couple of weeks and felt as though he deserved to do something good for his body before he left out to go start a mission. He had been informed the day before that he would going out in a team of four to complete some mission around the village. 

It had been a few months since Ciel last took on a mission and knew that he needed to get back into the grove of things and couldn’t think of a better way to do that then by knocking out multiples in one day, he felt as though he was for sure gonna be ready to take on higher ranked mission after today. Even though he was excited to be doing missions he knew he had to keep his mind on the goal and that was to become the strongest and while money is an important thing to have there was more out there that would help him more, he just had to find it. 

As he finally was able to catch his breath and stand up, he opened up his notes he took the day prior he was reminded that he would be doing these mission with one of his fellow team mates and two newer genin. “ Well let’s hope all this goes by without to much time going past” , he would say out loud dreading the fact that this might be a little bit more boring than what he had expected. With so many of shinobi there shouldn’t be a reason they get attacked by anyone while they are out unless they had a death wish. 

Once he had looked over all his notes he check the time to realize he still had enough time to quickly shower before leaving out so that’s what he did. He didn’t shower for long and it didn’t take him long to get ready so once he was ready he quickly made his way to the meeting area. Along the way he nodded and greeted some of his neighbors and fellow villagers alike. He was starting to get surprised at how many ppl had recognized his face, it just went to show him that he had been living there for such a long time now. After a mile walk he arrived at the meeting spot , where he had immediately spotted Youta along with another. Assuming the other shinobi must be one of the new genin Ciel Made his way up to the two. As he walked towards them he started to realize it had been quite some time since he had seen Youta last and was happy to see that from the looks of it he was doing well.

“Yo Youta how’s it going , it’s been some time since last we seen each other” he would say with a smile as he looked at his fellow team mate. He would then turn to the other fellow and introduce himself, “I’m Ciel Uchiha, pleasure to meet you”, he would say.    All that they was doing now was waiting for one last shinobi to arrive before they could take off and get these mission started.

Youta would be waiting on the bench and he would hear his name. He would as quickly as he could activate his Meigan to see what this shinobi was bringing to the table. He was definitely a water user. This young Genin had walked up and asked if he was one of the people that were assigned to this mission. “Hey! I am Youta. And well Crom it is an absolute pleasure. So did you read the brief either way I will go over it again when the other two arrive.” The other shinobi would see someone who did not really look ready for missions but it was probably fine. “I guess I should change and get ready for the mission now he would activate the armory spell on his armor and start putting it on and then make sure to put the star headband was prominently displayed. He would continue and try to make small talk when he saw a friend and teammate in Ciel make his way over. “Hey Ciel you are right it has been a good bit since we have seen each other. We will have to find Sebatian and get a team spring training session planned for sometime in the future.” He would continue catching up with his teammate and getting to know Crom a little better when the last shinobi on the team joined them. “You are fine, what was it Ryumi I think is what the brief said we are not late our team brief may have to be on the move. Which is fine.”

While on the way Youta would say “Our day mission is pretty simple. This Mr. Momoshi is a powerful business man and elder who has been recieving threats so we are to protect him while he takes his wife and teenage daughter shopping. He thinks someone has a stalker so we are to get eyes on him and that is it unless he posses an immediate threat. I know after shopping he wants to his Bathhouse business he runs and get something from his office then we will escort him home. Ok sound like a plan so keep your eyes peeled and be on guard for any danger.” They would walk up to the gate of a very fancy mansion. Youta would mumble under his breath “great rich rich people.” In his head he would hear “we could just absorb all their life force.” To which he would mumble to himself “we can’t kill them because they are rich” but he would then go and knock on the door. A very finely dressed man,woman and young woman would be there and the man would say “I don’t even know why you are here! My wife is the one freaking out, let's just get this over with.” And would walk right past the shinobi. Youta would look at Ciel like can you believe the nerve of this guy then politely say “Sir please let one of us lead the way and just tell us where you need to go.” They would make their way to the market in a diamond formation alternating positions but also trying not to be to obvious that they were bodyguards

Crom was greeted by the Genin in front of him and found out his name was Youta so he memorized the name to face in case of any other interactions in the future. The next of the group to show up was Ciel Uchiha who enthusiastically introduced himself to Crom and apparently already knew Youta from prior interactions just another thing to jot down for the Shinobi who likes to avoid people. The last of the group was Ryumi who was a woman covered in various scars and seemed kind of embrassed for showing up last. Crom didn’t understand that premise it wasn’t like she was late to the meeting but regardless she had held out her hand while introducing herself so Crom naturally shook it as he was taught was the common thing to do. He reintroduced himself to each member as they showed up, “Hello, I am Crom Tokage Nice to meet you.” Once they had all arrived Youta had gone back over what they were suppose to be doing today and how it revolved all around a single family of some wealthy elder.

“This will be interesting to say the least.” Crom commented after the brief and while they heading towards the client’s home, Crom was taking this time to write in his notebook various things he noticed from his team mainly just random tidbits to help him familiarize himself with them as he wasn’t the best of conversationists. He did notice that Youta seemed to mumble to himself from time to time though Crom didn’t know what that was about nor did he care as he just took it as just light complaining as Crom typically did throughout the day.

They arrived at the client’s home and it was a massive mansion with a gate and everything, Crom only really was interested in the gate and wall that surrounding the place as he wished that someday he could get a place like this to keep everyone away from him while he read his scrolls and books but that was a fantasy he could elobrate on after he was finished with this mission so he focused as the door opened and the husband came out of the manor complaining about how this was all his wife’s idea and he just wanted to get this over with. Youta tried to slow the man down and finally got him to allow the group to take up a Diamond Formation alternating positons as they moved towards the Market for the shopping trip part of the mission.

Crom stayed near the back of the formation when able to looking for anyone that seemed to be following them or possibly paying to much attention to someone from the family, so far it didn’t seem like there was any issue but it didn’t mean that Crom was going to let his guard down while on the mission as it was the only time he kept professional. There did seem to be a man of medium build and wearing a hood covering most of his face but he kept popping up as they went from store to store so Crom passed the information around to the others as they changed places so that the rest of the group would be aware of the suspect.

After greeting crow and his small talk with his team mate was done , it seem that the fourth member of their squad had finally arrived. To Ciel surprise it was a small girl covered in scars and while her outward appearance didn’t bother Ciel he was very curious to know what hell she had been through to get all of those scars all over her body. As she got up next to the three of them she had extended her hand to everyone and without hesitation Ciel shook her hand with a smile.  

He wanted to be as friendly as possible so that when he finally ask her about her life and how she got those scars , she might be a little bit more comfortable in telling him. As they made their way to the house Ciel couldn’t help but think about how long the day was about to be and since he wasent one who wanted to stay on a mission any longer than necessary he knew he had to be on point so this could be over quickly. He had training he needed to be doing and this only cut into that time. 

It wasent long before they arrived at the house and was allowed access past the huge gate that the people owned and while it might be amazing to others Ciel wasent impressed by it in the slightest. Money had no real value to Ciel only power did because at any moment a shinobi could come in and take everything from them and they wouldn’t be able to defend themselves. As Youta knocked on the door , he was finally greeted by an angry man who must of been the person they was assign to protect. 

He didn’t like the fact that Ciel and his comrades were there but unfortunately for him that’s how it had to be if he wanted to go out for the day without any problems. Ciel would give a slight smile to Youtah when he looked back at him, showing acknowledgement to the man acting like a complete asshole to the people here to help him. After a few momment though the man calmed downed enough to allow Ciel and the team to form a diamond formation around the couple. Ciel had take the right side of the formation , hoping that he the would be attacks came from his side. He hadn’t gotten into a fight in a while and knew that some sparring wouldn’t hurt even if the people he fought today would be no challenge for him.

He would then look over at youtah and say “ Let’s get this over as quick as possible , I would hate for us to be out here longer than necessary”, he said it in the hopes that the couple wouldn’t bullshit around and have them out there all day. They still had another mission they needed to take care of before the day was over if they wanted all the ryo at once.

Youta would see the others form up and follow the family and would take whatever position was empty. When Crom would let him know that someone was following them. Youta would activate his Meigan and look behind without trying look like he had now seen the person Crom was pointing out.  He did not get any significant chakra reading so Youta would say “Thanks for letting me know, when the family goes in to the next store take Ciel and try to Identify this person, remember though no need to interact unless he seems like an immediate threat. There is no need to scare them if it is just a teenager with a crush on the daughter.” He would wait for them to report back when the older gentleman would say “Alright I think this is the last of the items on the list for us to get. Let us go by the bathhouse so I can get the paperwork I need from my office.”  Youta would reply “of course sir that is what we are here for.” They would make their way to the bath house.  Youta would keep his Meigan activated as they entered his office at the bath house, when he would see out of the corner of his eye a tag of some sort. He would recognize that tag anywhere and say in a calm manner “Sir I need you and your family to stay here for a minute please.”  He would go to the window and close the curtains and quickly use Fuinjutsu breaking on the tag and say “Ok team I guess we need to discreetly check out this bathhouse and make sure no other bomb tags are placed around. Does anyone know how to break the tags without setting them off? If not I will make a clone to go with each of you to defuse them.Someone other the Ryumi stay here with the family. Ryumi I will need you to clear the woman’sbath a well as possible or somehow sneak my clone it I do not really care how you do it but make sure there is not bomb around and if there is I do not want any panic.  They could be set off with by someone local so let’s do this discretely.  I guess we will need to strip down to fit in.  This is gunna suck way to meet each other right?” He would then turn to the family and say “stay here we will come get you when the bombs have been defused and taken care of.”

Crom nodded along with Youta’s suggestion and headed off to see what the deal was with the “stalker” melding in with the normal customers of the shop Crom got as close as he could to the man to see what he was up to. Though the closer he got the more he noticed that this person was simply drawing different people in the crowd not really focusing on the family they were actually guarding. It seemed this person was simply some artist that was out and about doing random sketches so he signaled to the others that the person wasn’t a current threat.
Moving on with the family who finished up their shopping which Crom was thankful for the husband the owner of the bathhouse wanted to go grab some paperwork from his business so they began to make their way there. Before entering the building Youta once again took charge and searched the inside of the building finding a Hidden bomb tag and let the rest of the group know about what he found. He instructed each of them to look around and see if they could find others while disguised as guests as to not alarm the current patrons of the bathhouse and if anyone knew how to disarm them and if not he would make clones to go with each of them.
“I’ll take a clone.” Crom answered stripping down to match the rest of the guests as needed heading off to find any other tags that maybe in the building which he relied on his Clan’s ability of sensing all things that had chakra in them to see if any sources seemed out of place. It took some time as he walked around blending in and acting like a normal patron as instructed but he was able to locate another Bomb tag and pointed it out for Youta’s Clone to disarm as needed and once he was satisfied his area was cleared Crom made his way back to where the group was to meet back up at and report his findings including the location of where the tag was originally at. “It seems that there is someone out to really get this guy.” Crom mentioned to those still here or already back from their own areas. All this day has shown Crom was that if you were successful or had a lot of money you would just be a target for anyone desperate enough to take it. This is why he liked staying inside his little apartment and spending his money on scrolls and books, no thief is going to want to kill him for the basic stuff you can get anywhere.
