It seemed that the odd duck amongst the three of them decided it was a good time to talk after they were asked to identify themselves and Yagi was about to speak when the ostrich fighter himself told the trio present that his name was Saturn, just Saturn…which would, and should strike as suspicious ordeal but Yagi smiled as the his cup was filled once more. These two were…going to get drunk, and if Yagi was not careful he would be as well. The man that joined them finally spoke as he identified and greeted them with two monikers…one to represent he had slayed a dragon himself, while the other was the name of the Lightning Beast…a title that his clan new about and also tried to align themselves with. He smirked as he took another drink before he watched the cup be filled once more.
“My name is Yagi Raiten'nō, the sixth great-grandchild of the grandmaster Raijin. I am here to learn more about the village and to broaden my horizons…A pleasure to meet you Saturn-sama and you as well Raiju, Hiroki-sama. I am sure we can broaden our horizons together.” He said as he would offer to shake hands with both shinobi before Hiroki proposed and offered a toast to their meeting…a toast to meeting new and old friends alike. Yagi nodded as he raised his cup, “To all of those that wish to strengthen themselves beside their compatriots.” He said with a smirk as he waited on Saturn for his toast…he hoped that it would not be to fight an ostrich again…

"Dragon Slayer," Saturn looked at Hiroki Shimada with his light blue eyes, holding his own glass, nodding subtly, and then at Yagi Raiten'nō, "and Raiten'nō-san," He gave the fellow blonde an identical nod and a firm handshake, the one that he reached for. He was bewildered to be in the presence of the two highly skilled shinobi with titles like Raiju, and lineages tracing to the fabled grandmaster Raijin. "To the wildlife of Kumogakure, both the flying and the flightless." Saturn grinned while he added his contribution to the toast being raised and clinked his glass with the other two before downing his shot. Just as he placed his glass back on the counter, he poured himself another round with his own bottle, holding it by the neck, waving it around to signal that all either of the shinobi at the bar with him had to do was tap their glass to have another round poured for them by yours truly. Already swigging on his new round, he turned his gaze towards Hiroki.
"So, you slew a dragon." The least experienced shinobi of the three slurred at Hiroki. His thoughts were crisp and concise, yet his speech was delayed and slurred in its delivery. Double vision was the name of the game. During his limited time in Kumogakure, Saturn had heard rumors about dragons lurking in the mountains around the Hidden Cloud Village, but never had he had the privilege of seeing one for himself. "During my limited time in Kumogakure, I've heard rumors about dragons lurking in the mountains around the Hidden Cloud Village, but I've never had the privilege of seeing one for myself." Saturn downed his own shot and poured another for himself, having consumed a diabolic amount of alcohol so far, and it seemed his night was only beginning.
"Do they really breathe fire?"

A nod of the salt and pepper haired youngin’ was offered as the now named Yagi had stated it. ”Well, Saturn and Yagi. This is certainly turning out to be a night to remember. And here I thought it was going to be a quiet day here at the bar.” The 18 year old would proceed to let out a chuckle after making the comment. It was certainly turning out to be an interesting time for Roki. He was able to make the acquaintance of two new shinobi, which always had it’s amazing perks. More friends had meant a greater strength if they would stick together. Also, there was no problem with the plain old fact to just have more friends in general. Even if the trio would just be drinking buddies for the night, there would be no hard feelings about that. And then after a moment, attention being directed towards his left where the younger looking dude had brought up the question about slaying a dragon.
Oh…they think it was an actual dragon…This’ll be good. He had thought to himself.
Being the mischief loving prankster that he was, Hiroki had decided to roll with the punches as they say. Keeping a completely straight face, save for an innocent looking smile, he’d go on to respond to the fellow Kumon in. ”Indeed I did slay a dragon. This one though didn’t make it’s lair within the mountains, no. Instead, it was hidden deep within the center of the aptly named Dragon Ravine. This one not only could spew a large ball of fire from it’s mouth, but the teeth of the beast were really large.” And he’d take a long pause for a dramatic effect, leaning in ever so slightly as if about to share a secret. Creating a heartbeat like sound by slowly slapping his chest with his free hand. Bum bum. Bum bum. Bum bum. It would go, hushed and low, being barely heard from the overall sound within the Drunken Kage’s tavern. Then, suddenly and without warning, ”Large enough to eat you!” And Hiroki would then feign teeth gnashing down from above Saturn, with a hand shaped to be a claw.

The quip about the flightless birds nearly made him spew his fucking drink…this man was at least funny to be around so Yagi was happy to continue sharing drinks with the trio.Saturn however apparently played into some sort of by word of mouth trap and Hiroki was quick on the uptake and began to spin a yarn and talk about how he hunted a dragon in the Dragon’s Ravine…
It was here that Yagi tapped the bottle expertly and had another cup poured for him as Hiroki set the scene, Saturn asked if they actually breathed fire and Yagi was literally one second away from laughing loud enough to cause the rafters to shake, but then Hiroki continued and got to the punchline in his joke, which might make people flinch but with the drinks they shared…it was either hyper exaggerated or underwhelming. For the Raiten'nō however, he gave a chuckle with the delivery and then downed his drink as he remembered learning about the Ravine.
“You know Hiroki, I like you, that was a fantastic story, but I remember a little about the Dragon’s Ravine…I thought the place was no man’s land and trying to enter was like committing suicide. How the hell would you have gotten in? Also a quiet day in Kumogakure? That is a commodity one would normally relish I would think.” He said with a laugh before looking to either of them to pour him a fresh cup. “However, my grandfather tells us of a time he fought a great lightning serpent in the mountains, The Haietlik, perhaps either of you have heard of the creature?” He asked as he had a smirk on his face, it was his turn to tell a story of his family…was it true? He did not know, but it was for entertainment so he was all for telling it here in this very place at that very time.

Hypnotised by the Dragon Slayer's story as he went on, Saturn fixed his gaze at Hiroki and at the same time, accurately poured another round of Jack Daniels Tiger Blend into Yagi's glass without looking his way. Maintaining eye contact, he swigged his own shot while he swayed back and forth on his stool, leaning closer and closer towards Hiroki as he told his story, thumping his own chest with his fist in sync with the black and white haired shinobi - Dragon Ravine..? I think I've heard of that name somewhere before... - almost involuntarily, until the Chunin startled him without warning, triggering a knee jerk reaction. He choked on his shot - still in his throat - before spouting it out in a jet stream sent upwards at Hiroki's forehead. Whether the story teller was struck by the beam or not, a giant drop of sweat would manifest on Saturn's own forehead as he cracked an apologetic smile, his hand on the back of his head. He would use his other hand to pour another round for Hiroki. "That.. was your fault.." He slurred as he made his peace offering, pouring an extra long round hoping that he himself would not be slain next by the Raiju.
Saturn poured himself another round to make up for the shot he half wasted - but it was not really wasted. He exhaled sharply from his nose as the blonde haired Raiten'no made his comment about quiet days being a commodity in the Hidden Cloud - but the sound of his exhalation was lost in the endless chaotic chatter of the growing crowd in the bar around him. The crowd was increasing in number as the night went on. Saturn looked over at Yagi as he brought up yet another story about a shinobi, this time one that did not seem to be present in the room in flesh yet perhaps still present in blood -- Yagi's blood. The Haietlik..? Saturn's heart once again pounded in his chest in anticipation of the tale. He shook his head 'no' , leaning in, clutching his cup and downing the shot in his mouth with a loud audible glug.

The drinks were flowing, happiness and laughter were abound. Everything was alright. It was more than alright actually, things were going pretty fantastic. Luckily enough for Roki, he was not only expecting some form of shocked reaction from one of them, but also just naturally the lad had some decency with reflex speed. Skillfully, he’d merely duck, avoiding the oncoming stream of water which was spat in his direction. Hiroki took no offense from this though, it basically came with the joke itself. But, he did let out a chortle at the whole situation. The comment made by Saturn only elevated this even more being the hammer which hit the nail on the head.
Hiroki would comfortably lean against the bar, listening to Yagi’s own story of a family member fighting one of the legendary creatures. The only thing was, the genin couldn’t tell if this was some sort of riff, bouncing off the wildly made up yarn spun by himself just moments before; or if this was actually, allegedly at least, true. Regardless, an eyebrow would be raised, the face still nothing but smiles though, replying to the first little bit by saying ”Why it was rather simple actually. I walked on my two legs.” After actually saying this out loud, the man couldn’t help but laugh at his sarcastic joke. Almost too much to the point where it would make it kind of awkward but without taking anything away from the pun itself.
”As for the Haeitlik, I’ve heard some stories of them being allies with the great Thunderbirds, but that’s pretty much all I know about them. Well, and obviously, as you mentioned, they’re some more noteworthy lightning beasts.” He’d say with a calm and cool demeanor, impressed by the fact that this man was quite knowledgeable in regards to the mythological beasts of ole’. ”But I do reckon you’re going to elaborate for our other friend here?”

Yagi watched as he saw Saturn spit out his drink towards the Dragon Slayer, and honestly he had to stop himself from laughing loudly at the scene…he could not believe that someone would waste such good liquor on…spitting it out. Yagi watched as another drink was poured during his story, he could tell the air had become a little more serious as he had an inkling that perhaps his story was seen as a tall tale, or that it was the truth, much like Hiroki’s story was told in a similar fashion. When Hiroki said that he walked in on his own two legs and Yagi smirked he did not say more as he knew what he knew…but things were bound to be different in reality. However as he told his story and the two were quiet for a moment, Saturn repeated the name then Hiroki spoke up as well as he brought up that the Haietlik were somewhat related to the thunderbirds. Then he came back and stated that Yagi was going to explain, which he was right…yet again.
“So the Haietlik are in fact allies of the thunderbirds…the legends that my clan tell is that they are more like living weapons for the thunderbirds…they help them hunt so that way their prey can be brought down quicker. Also they serve more of a cultural purpose to older clans like mine where the bride and groom must be married under a star formation of the mythical beast. So to really get down to it…” He took a drink of the alcohol once more before sighing contently. “The Haietlik are creatures of great power and importance to the village.” He said before leaning back against the bar, apparently deep in thought for the moment. He had somehow reached a new state of understanding of himself with the tale.

It would seem as if the partial joke mentioned earlier had paid off to a certain degree; the smirk given to it from the Raiten’no hadn’t gone unnoticed. It was a good thing. It meant that there was a bond to be had, and no ill will amongst them all. While Saturn seemed relatively passive about it, what mattered most was it could bring a slight pinch of a smile to someone’s face a the very least. That was always one of the goals in life, no matter if it was spoken or unspoken. Spread joy and love and happiness, especially through the tough times. Making someone smile could easily brighten their day because you never know what someone’s been through throughout it. Even in the event that nothing bad occurred prior to it, still never hurt to make someone cheer up even more than they once were.
At the end of the day, all of this was able to bring about a smile on Roki’s on visage. One that remained throughout listening to the noble clansman speak upon the Haetlik. Proceeding to take a sip from his own cup at the same time as the blond storyteller’s ears would remain perked up to hear the finishing statement of it. ”Explains why you know much about them, then. And it would seem that we share an interest in that very thing; the mythical beasts of the storms. Masters of lightning and thunder, rain and wind. They all tie back to Raijin and Fuijin somehow too, which could also go on to further explain the point home as to why these legendary creatures remain significant to us.” The words spoken were done so with a fascination, the same spark of passion that would be seen lighting up like an adorned paper lantern within a kid’s eyes whenever they’d let their imagination and creativity roam free.
After hearing all of this, the tactful Chunin with yin-yang-esque hair would peer up at the clock mounted upon the wall behind the bar. His eyes starting become heavy, and the vision within slowly starting to blur into amorphous blobs as the alcohol started to kick in. Keeping the external composure cool, and the demeanor sharp however was certain. Even though this would have been an obvious setting were spotting drunkards and party animals would occur, the man still simply go about acting all messy and such. It just wasn’t within his nature. Even the little pranks and jokes that were played upon here and there had a certain refined essence about them. Hiroki would then chime back into the conversation, noting ”Well, as much as I’d love to stay and chat, I should probably head out. It was good to meet you both.” He’d then nod, and leave.
